I've had this little idea in my head for a while now, so I decided to sit down and plot it out.

Disclaimer: This isn't meant to be some sort of One-Worksheet-Fits-All situation. This is meant to be a visual representation of some type of story planning you could be doing in order to develop a plot!

Lay down groundwork! (Backstory integral to the beginning of your story.) Build hinges. (Events that hinge on other events and fall down like dominoes) Suspend structures. (Withhold just enough information to make the reader curious, and keep them guessing.)

And hey, is this helps... maybe sit down and write a story! :)

Sometimes, I have stupid ideas

Every Drake man must be a massive simp for his romantic partner. It's simply a law of the universe.

The sky is blue, grass is green, the Drakes get so down bad for their significant others that it should be a clinicial condition.

Tim over here gets teased by the Bats for being a "creepy stalker," but that's Tim on easy mode regarding nonromantic relationships. When he has a crush/situationship he's buying luxury cars for his boos, investigating pain cults, getting on hands and knees begging them to look his way. It'd be pathetic if it weren't so alarming. Luckily, plenty of people find his desperate simpness endearing and/or hot.

The Bats: we wonder where Tim gets it.

Flashback to Jack Drake falling off the Cliff of Feels for Janet, vowing to fund all of her archeology hobbies, and being so down bad that he trailed after on digs for the next 20 odd years.

Then go back even farther, and there's a long line of Drake men proposing to people the first day they met, imigrating to America because their spouse "wanted a change in scenery," and deciding to live in Gotham because their SO liked the gargoyles.

OKAY BUT FOR REAL WHILE WE’RE ON THE TOPIC OF ZOMBIE JASON I REALLY WANNA TALK ABOUT BATMAN: GOTHAM COUNTY LINE AND WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT HOW BRUCE REMEMBERS JASON

SPOILER ALERT: long story short, bruce ends up in a world surrounded by “zombies” and in the end finds out that the “zombies” aren’t actually the resurrected people. the zombies were created from bruce’s memories + his guilt over every person he’s failed to save. bruce is quickly overpowered by hordes and hordes of “undead” civilians whom he didn’t rescue in time, blaming him for their death

and then there’s jason

jason here is also based on bruce’s memory, but instead of attacking bruce or blaming him for his death, he intervenes in the fight to save bruce and holds the other zombies back long enough for bruce to find safety in a nearby house. zombie jason also defies the man responsible for all this (the baldie in the second panel), telling him to torture him rather than the woman, and then parts with bruce on good terms

summary: even when the entire point of the zombies was to torture bruce psychologically and play on his sense of guilt (and boy, does bruce harbour a lot of guilt regarding jason – it may be one of the things he feels the guiltiest about in his life), he still remembers jason as someone who always had his back and fought by his side. he remembers jason as a brave and loyal kid who’d throw himself in front of the knife before seeing an innocent person hurt
