He is holding them up to contain a lapful of fruits. His erect phallus also acts as a support for the fruit. High, rustic boots adorn his feet, which stand on a plinth.

The trouble with doing the job hunt stuff right after breakfast is that I then spend the entire rest of the day discouraged, depressed, and deeply anxious.

I tell ya’ I’m starting to consider applying to the hell jobs.

Never mind it involves noxious chemicals and I have bad lungs. Never mind it involves standing for the long shift and I wear ankle braces. Never mind it is a driving job and I suck at driving and have an unreliable vehicle. Never mind the job pays as little as they can legally get away with while having constantly changing 12hr night shifts. Never mind it’s field work in the blazing sun. Never mind it’s a job I am utterly unsuitable for with an employer everyone says to avoid.

I need money. Badly. But I live in the middle of nowhere with no skills, a battered body, and crap internet. No one is gonna hire me, are they?

Funny isn’t it. On paper all those decades of work never counted, so it technically appears I’ve never had a job. Yet it never felt that way as I worked my ass off and had what I needed to survive. Only now that I am officially looking for an actual paying job to survive do I finally, for the first time in my life, FEEL unemployed. And, at this point, upsettingly unemployable.

Bad enough to know you aren’t worth having friends and family, that an offer of friendship, love, company, help, etc is not wanted by anyone. Worse to know that an offer of all the work, time, effort, pain, and suffering you have in you in exchange for merely enough money to survive isn’t wanted either. Never mind people not caring about me, they don’t even want to exploit me!!!

(And you can fuck off scammers and whoever the hell that was that tried to convince me into doing online sex work. I mean, FFS, nude photos of THIS body? I promise you, even if I weren’t someone who would rather die, I am far too ugly for most, not nearly ugly enough for those with a fetish! I wouldn’t make enough for a cup of coffee!!!)

(Oh, and BTW, the lead on a job for the post master still hasn’t panned out. The job STILL hasn’t even been listed, and I fear the USPS might have just decided this tiny post office can do without filling this job.

And, TBF, when Mom was post master here they didn’t have anyone to do it. Back then it was one post master, one clerk, I think three carriers, and that was everyone working here. The population has shrunk if anything, so I know they can technically do the work and cut this one job, as long as the other employees are willing to over work like they did then. Ex. The post office closed at 5pm, and Mom used to have so much still to do she wouldn’t leave until around 7, now the building is empty by 5:30.

Anyway, I sorta expect that I will not ever get to even apply for that job after all. Which sucks, since I’d be good at it and have as ideal a work situation as I could hope for! )

While the MAGA coalition is currently fracturing over the prospect that President Donald Trump might join Israel in taking military action against Iran, religious-right activists have been nearly unanimous in their demand that the Trump administration lend its full support to Israel in the growing conflict. 

The reason for this is that Trump's evangelical base believes that the Bible commands them to support Israel in order to bring about the return of Jesus Christ and the End Times, as former Rep. Michele Bachmann explained during a recent "World Prayer Network" program. 

"This is the one thing a president can't get wrong according to the Bible, according to Joel 3," Bachmann said. "A president can't get Israel wrong. They can't. This is the one most decisive issue that will either take down a presidency or it will lift up and create great promise for a presidency."

"This is a spiritual battle," she continued. "Israel's at her greatest hour of need right now, every nation on Earth should thank Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu. We should all kiss the ground and be so grateful that Benjamin Netanyahu is prime minister and that he had the guts to take on this greatest evil terror state that has defined plans. And so the United States, in my opinion, we need to be decisive. This is not a negotiation. It can never be a negotiation."

You’d have friends, if you wanted it.

You’d be rich, if you wanted it.

You’d be attractive, if you wanted it.

You’d be healthy, if you wanted it.

You’d have a job, if you wanted it.

You’d be happy, if you wanted it.

Obviously anything and everything unpleasant or difficult in your life is your own fault, your choices. You didn’t want it enough. You were too lazy, didn’t try hard, didn’t have the willpower. You, in short, deserve this. It’s a punishment.

I feel like I spend my entire life working to survive. Survive practically, as in keeping things around me livable. Survive emotionally, as in continuing to find reasons to keep living. Every minute, of every day, battling away.

I do reach out whenever I can, not merely being friendly to people, but talking the ears off total strangers in my desperation for connection. I constantly try to find ways to do things that might give me a chance for something new, something better. I keep hoping to at least expand my death spiral, buy me some time if not stop my inevitable crash.

But I’m so exhausted.

MONARCHS GOOD, KINGS BAD

These are the only monarchs we love in California.

Jokes aside, I'm thrilled our butterfly garden is finally getting some residents. It was a slow start to the season, but we've got at least 14 caterpillars now and a few different female butterflies laying more eggs.

Please consider planting some native milkweed in your garden if you are in a monarch area. Monarchs are suffering from habitat loss and need more places to lay eggs. Also it's a lot of fun!
