Snails huddle together in dry conditions to conserve moisture. As a child, I found a pile of snails during a drought. I assumed they were empty and something had eaten them because the first couple shells I picked up had no visible bodies. I collected my cool shell haul and brought it inside and placed it on the windowsill. My grandmother awoke in the middle of the night to 12+ very alive snails crawling around in the kitchen.

At my parents' house, I have a wall of pictures in my room as a shrine for my deities. No wonder I feel so much better near this wall than anywhere. It feels nourish. I wonder if I'll be able to replicate this in my shrines at my place.

The craving of a sense of home and hearth is hard sometimes.

Sometimes helpol community is tiring, so here is my unsollicited contribution to it.

Put offering on your floor -> you now have an altar.

Put libation in a glass -> you now have an altar.

Put a picture of you deity in your pocket -> you now have an altar.

No one has to tell you if it's appropriate or not. But a altar is nothing more than where you put your offerings.

it’s completely acceptable to stay alive for tiny reasons. because you want to hear your favorite song one more time. because your dog will miss you if you leave. because the moon is just too pretty to never see again. because you haven’t seen the next season of a really good tv show. because you want to see the christmas lights this year. if you’re alive, you’re doing enough. if you’re surviving, i’m proud of you.

My main tumblr blog is a book review blog, so no wonder I almost never use it as a main blog (it's @ravenbookslover btw). My review are often short but honestly I want to learn how to discuss more the books I read, I'm just not a literary scholar nor a literary critic i'm just a guy who read sometimes tbh.
