I'm currently working on two separate Sanders Sides fanfics that may never see the light of day, but I wrote this absolutely killer line for one of them that I want to share.

I'm not gonna go into details about the whole fic this line comes from (because I don't want to get anyone's hopes up just for me to not end up finishing it or posting it), but the chapter it comes from is an extended metaphor about chess.

The final line is:

"He may have been a lowly pawn, but he was going to take the king."

Did Logan just pour wine into his coffee cup holy crap

"Logan, I'm a grown man... I would love to color." FELT. Maybe I should color. I've been overthinking. Maybe it's what I need instead of eating my feelings. (That got dark real fast, my bad)

The fucking bratwurst. I let out an actual laugh

Did Logan just intimidate the masked murder? Help I'm crying

THE PADDLE, NO. I knew the "I'll be good" was foreplay but THE PADDLE

Oh my god I was very worried Logan wasn't going to intervene

But then the music Logan put on (the orchestra), right before I paused to write this... very enemies to lovers, dancing in a ballroom together vibes. Idk. I'm weird. But come on... dagger to the throat, anyone?

I don't always have the inspiration to write, but when I do, I write about 15k words over the course of one weekend

Now that my semester is finally over, I'll spend my weekend revising the few fanfic things I managed to write this past month and probably post them all at one time.

So, I ended up getting a little writing mojo back last night. I wrote a whole other chapter. But the chapter wasn’t an epilogue like I meant for it to be. So there’s gonna be more chapters, and it’ll probably be a long ass while before the fic actually gets posted. If I actually decide to post it, since I’m having my doubts now, even though I’ve kinda(?) been hyping it up here.

I’ve written almost 3k words today of what may end up being a published sanders sides fanfic, but I haven’t written this much in forever, honestly, and it’s kinda draining. Even though I’m a writer, too, I have mad respect for writers who pump out a freshly-written chapter every day or week or whatever. I honestly could never.

I have mad respect for writers in general, because y’all are fucking amazing, but damn, those of you who write a new chapter every week. I cannot do that shit. Never have I been able to. I can’t (start to) publish a work unless I know it’s finished, otherwise it might never be finished.

It’s been a while since I’ve written about my progress on this fic (and not accidentally posted it to my main blog and deleted it right after because that’s not where it goes anymore), but I’ve been stuck at about 25k words for a while. I just have one final chapter I want to/need to write before I close out the fic. (At least, it feels like I only need one more chapter. An epilogue, really. But I’m stuck. I have no ideas.)

With school back in session, it’s really draining to write again, because I drain all my energy reserves doing homework and practicing my three(!) instruments. Eventually, I’ll finish the damn fic and post it (and link it in a reblog), though. I just need to find the energy and the idea.
