This started as a political blog about Republican idiots but now it's just an anti-bullshit blog regardless of the party. Plus there's some good people doing good things. And science. And art. And history. And swearing.
Bit telling that for years and years evangelical religious extremists have been allowed on university campuses with their bullhorns and horrific imagery where they harass students into physical altercations and when students complain to the university’s administration they just shrug their shoulders citing freedom of speech but when those same tuition-paying students start protesting against war and genocide they call SWAT
Perhaps my perceived lack of comprehension is due to your lack of specificity when replying. I gave three examples of the ways government has worked for the greater good. You gave me back a Reagan-era trope. Here's how debate works: I give specifics. You reply with specifics bolstering your argument. Spin again.
So the highway system is just a natural wonder? Like Yellowstone? And the people who show up after a hurricane are angels? And the Hoover Dam is leftover from the Ice Age?
Finding a cost per mile x per lane was hard to find but this is from the Penn DOT: 500 miles (down and back) x $5.24M ($2.6M per mile x 2 lanes) = $26.2 Millon. PER. MILE.
So yeah it's all "taxpayer funded" but not by the taxpayers in Wyoming.
I ran the blog Fortune A Day for ten years, from August of 2011 to August 2021. As part of the blog wrap-up I did a final layout of all the physical fortune papers.
Here’s a process gif:
The full set was laid out by color (papers had blue, red, and black text). More specifically they were grouped by font, and whether or not lucky numbers and Chinese phrases appeared on front or back. However, it’s hard to differentiate those sub-groups in pictures of the full set. I made a couple posts about the full layout (the first one here) in order to show some close-ups (the second one here), and also posted a takedown video on IG (linked in the third post).
For those who enjoy numbers organized neatly, individual fortune image posts were tagged with numbers when the papers listed a set of “lucky” or “lotto” numbers. An evaluation at the end of the blog showed that the numbers 1 through 56 and 76 are considered lucky. 57 through 75 and 77 and up are unlucky. I go into details on this post.

15 billion miles away and NASA was able to tweak code packages on one of the onboard computers and it worked and Voyager 1 is sending signals back to earth for the first time since November.
