Old exhausted detective who cares too much about his chaotic weirdly effective assistant:
“You are–by every conceivable metric—the worst person to take into a hostage situation.”
“What part of ‘subtle’ made you wear a Hawaiian shirt to a stakeout?”
“You are banned from interrogations. Last time, you gave the suspect your number.”
No, you are not allowed to name the murder weapon
“You’re not bait. You’re not even reliable bait.”
“You’re the reason I have stress-induced heartburn.”

Angst prompts for characters who never got to heal
“you think I haven’t wanted to fall apart in someones arms too?”
“I’ve broken kingdoms to feel something. You– you are what hurts.”
“I would burn for you. But I will not ask you to stay and watch.”
“I keep telling myself I don’t need anyone. But look at me–I keep coming back to you.”
“I built a throne out of loneliness. I don’t know how to step down from it now.”
“I’m not afraid of dying. I’m afraid no one will remember why I lived.”

Two Characters. One Act of Desecration.
Prompt your sinners. Prompt your saints. What they do with their hands is their gospel now
1) Two characters. One places communion wine to the others lips, not for sacrament, but to watch them swallow.
2) Two characters. One holds the others throat, not in threat, but as if to feel the pulse of sin.
3) Two characters. One kneels at the foot of the altar, not to seek grace, but to undo a belt.
4) Two characters. One mouths verses against bare skin, not from faith, but from want.

Conversation Prompts 01:
Casual conversation starters between people who have probably hidden a body together.
“you had a knife.”
“I had two knives.”
“Why is there blood on your shirt?”
“It’s not mine. You’re welcome.”
“You can’t just say ‘oops’ after committing a felony.”
“That’s why I said it before.”
“You were supposed to distract him.”
“I did. From breathing.
“You said no one would get hurt.”
“And look at you, completely unharmed.”
