Mu’s second MV theories/analysis and speculation

Okay sharing here a theory/analysis I saw on the comment section of the first MV of Mu and that I think it makes sense (I didn't know all the translations to the words on the chalkboard) and some thoughts I had while rewatching both MVs with this new information.

This could be wrong and it's speculation, if you have a different opinion you can share it. I'm sharing the first theory because I think it was very good but I had to scroll down for a while before seeing it and I'm sure a lot of people might have missed it.

So far with the chalkboard messages translated and the second MV we can say Mu has been bullying people too, the victim being one of them (and maybe the more vicious?)

I rewatched both MVs a couple of times trying to make sense of it and noticed that at 1:08 she says "sorry for hurting you , but I didn’t mean it" almost jokingly (in tone) like she doesn't really mean it, while stepping on the broken fragments of the girls she has bullied and smiling... Were those the "sorry spells" that weren't working for her anymore in the first MV? I mean, yeah maybe to teachers her bullying could be passed as "oh she didn't mean to do this" (plus she's from a wealthy family, they probably didn't want to get too involved) but when she actually killed that girl (or when the girl uncovered her in a way the adults couldn’t ignore it anymore) a sorry doesn't cut it. Some people have mentioned too how at the end she says sorry four times, each one sounding less sincere. Also when the victim shows up she (victim) makes a disgusted face, she's seeing how she seems to almost be enjoying the fact that she crushed the girls who didn't go along with her, so maybe she saw how she was bullying those people and brought it to the attention of the adults and that's when people started turning on her. She was mad to the girl because saying sorry didn't make people ignore her actions anymore and finally went after her.

Following the theory it could also explain the final scene in the second MV, Mu was previously shown with flowers there, as said in the first theory.

And seeing as it’s been pointed out that the flowers are in the victim’s desk and the insults are directed at the victim and not Mu, and Mu seems happy it’s very possible that was Mu while bullying that girl.

Now, on the second MV the last scene is this:

Now Mu knows we've forgiven her/was confident that no one will dare go against her now that the only one who did was being bullied so bad and she is saying how "I'm always right", feeling confident. 

But then the girl makes a final attempt at changing that turning upside down the hourglass (grabs the desk leg in signal of rebellion and that she's not done). Thus Mu realizes she can't turn the situation on her favor anymore and that's why she “breaks” the hourglass as said in the first theory, if she can't be the one on top and she’s “right and justified” she prefers to just go after her and force the situation.

But have you considered you can comission real artists, helping them have an income, and in exchange you can, not only describe what you want but you can also talk to the artist and make sure all the things are as you wanted? And hands might still be witchcraft to a lot of people but AI haven't seemed to understand yet how they really work lol.

I mean, I understand it's cool and as someone who really doesn't know how to properly draw I also think it's interesting but it shouldn't replace real artists and the way they are handling everything with the unauthorized use of art etc is something I look with caution.

To be fair, art AIs do signify a huge step forward in scientific development and contribute to arts, as disciplines and lifestyles, far more than a struggling beginner who can’t even haha yeah no I can’t do this not even for a swing at the wasps’ nest, let’s dismantle AI “artists” with hammers.

The legacies people leave behind in you.

My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.

I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.

I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.

I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.

I learned to love books because my father loved them first.

How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.

I just made this design of my pet hognose snake. I wanted to make sure the pattern and scale shapes were decently accurate.

I also had a blast recoloring it after a bunch of pride flags. They got such pretty colors.

Koisenu Futari

I heard about this show like a week ago through a random tumblr post. A gifset of Sakuko searching the internet for the term “AroAce”. I did a double take. Theres no way, I thought. An aroace character? The words aromantic and asexual being used on screen? So I did some quick research and discovered that this is from a Japanese drama show called Koisenu Futari.

Here’s a summary of the show:

About two people who are aromantic and asexual and begin living together. Sakuko finds it difficult to live in a society which operates under the assumption that people will fall in love with each other. She meets supermarket employee Takahashi when she goes to support a “fall-in-love” campaign by her junior at work. She is startled when she hears him say that there are people who don’t fall in love. As Sakuko’s mother keeps hurrying her to get married, she decides to move out and rent an apartment with her friend but her friend backs out at the last minute after reconciling with her ex-boyfriend. Just when Sakuko is about to give up, she ends up living with Takahashi under one roof because of their similar values towards romance.

So not only does this show have an AroAce character, it is CENTERED on not one but TWO Aroace characters and their experiences and feelings as AroAces.

Do you know how rare that is!?!??!

Last night I finally found a way to watch it with English subtitles and I blew through the two episodes available when I tell you I cried. Oof. I cried no less than 3 times during episode 1 alone.

I mean look at this. Talks of amatonormativity, Sakuko’s friendship being mistaken for romantic feelings, friends ditching her for romantic relationships, constantly being told she’ll find her “fated partner”, touch aversion, and so much more.

Is this what real representation feels like? This is a little overwhelming to be honest. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my entire life. There has never been anything like this on tv ever. We as a community have gotten so many crumbs. A few canon ace characters. Even fewer aro characters. I can’t even name 1 aroace character. And even then their stories are side plots or they’re secondary characters or just a throwaway joke/plot device. I can count on hand the number of accurate decent representation for the aspec community on tv.

But this show. This is me. This is my experience, my feelings, my identity. Sakuko is my coming out story. Sakuko and Takahashi are living my life. I see myself on screen for the first time. I’m crying again because I’ve never know what this could feel like. I feel heard and seen. I feel accepted and normal.

A part of me still worries that the other shoe is going to drop and they’ll have Sakuko and Takahashi fall in love I’m the end and then they’ll be “normal” because that’s what always happen. Always always always. But I genuinely dont think that’s what’s going to happen and I’m ecstatic about that.

A whole show about two AroAces!!!! I’m over the moon right now. Lots of sobbing happening right now. Words dont convey the amount of happiness I feel about this.
