Im still stuck on Sebeks sled being used as a parallel to Snow White's coffin LIKE....HE REALLY COULDVE DIED HUH....

Then it spiralled into the idea of Sebek being poisoned and sleeping for DECADES and theres kind of like this. Statue dedicated to him

In modern times, the first years and Dia 3 visit the museum where Sebek's statue is kept (NOT actually Sebek: Sebek is somewhere else ENTIRELY). Theyre drawn to the statue somehow, and it kind of ends up as a place that gives them comfort.

Whether it be on purpose, impulsively, or an accident, they end up kissing the statue somehow. On the hand (Malleus), the cheek (Lilia), the forehead (Silver), the lips (FIRST YEARS GRAHHHH I LOVE POLY FIRST YEARS).

Then Sebek appears after all this happens, dazed and confused. All he knows is that he was called to this place, as well as the overflowing warmth he felt when he woke up

Like imagine finally meeting the first person your age you’ve ever truly connected and clicked with and then he’s ripped from you.

You understand each other in ways others don’t and never will and you’re quite literally destined to be separated from him for all eternity.

So he literally speedran what is inevitably going to happen to his parents.

They didn’t even have forty eight hours.

He got to have the one thing he’s always wanted for less than two days.

He was fully understood, accepted, and appreciated for less than two days.

He got to experience the great love his parents always told him that he’d find someday for less than two days.

Sebek’s better than me because if I met what could have been the love of my life and he was ripped from me by literal FATE AND TIME ITSELF and I was left with only a vague recollection of him I’d kill myself.

Orpheus and Eurydice but Orpheus is Diasomnia and Eurydice is Sebek...

Something about how Diasomnia are always shackled by the past, whether or not they're aware of it, looking forward to continue living in a delusion (Malleus), looking forward to move on from it (Lilia), or looking forward to relish the present but carrying the sins of the father unknowingly (Silver)

Sebek is very much someone that, while seemingly not wanting to acknowledge the past (always trying to strive for the future, his childhood being a rough subject when it comes to how he's treated for his blood), doesn't let himself be shackled by it

Most evident by his dream, especially when you compare it to other people's..

And I think it's very beautiful how the rest of Diasomnia learn how to be in Eurydice's shoes, starting with Silver, who helped snap Sebek out of his dream, and later on Sebek helping him snap out of the blot

Sebek and Riddle fan I always stay winning!!

I just love the duality of their dreams...Sebek's dream being something simple, just wanting Diasomnia to be happy, because that's his heart's truest desire. And he believes the way that that happiness can be pursued is just by. Continuing the party.

Then we get to Riddle's, who wants to have his family happy and whole and together again, but believes that the way to achieve that is by drastically changing everything about himself, his life, and his own parents. He has no magic. His mom is a "stay at home" wife and his dad is a novelist (NOVELIST...IDV MENTION...)

He's integrated himself into Chenya and Trey's life, wanting to be close to them. He hates studying and school. He says words from the Queendom of Roses that even Deuce doesnt want to repeat. He wants to form a band.

Im not saying that Riddle's dream is only that way because of his truest desire and not that he does want to have those things, because Riddle has got to have seen and wanted to wear that outfit of his like bro the amount of details is CRAZY

But its like. His dreams seem to be connected to the people around him as well. The rebellion, dare i say it, reminds me of Heartslabyul's freshmen. I think he sees how open they are, their carefree attitude, and subconsciously integrated it into his own desire. He thinks what makes other people happy will make him happy too.
