My son gave me a nice #quartz for my birthday. #PiscesSeason got me #creative and shit. I haven’t done a wrap in quite some time so it’s off center a little but it’s mine and I love it. More #crochet more #hats I definitely understand my mother more now. She #knits and knitting is something i never got good at. For whatever reason #crocheting makes my brain happy. Everyone is getting hats for #xmas because it’s all I do with my life these days besides work A LOT. I think I’m bored. One thing about #recovery is that it’s really fucking BORING at times. Today was a day for #selfcare and I am so blessed to have an amazing job that pays me enough to afford that. I decided it was time for a moderately drastic change. Not as shocking and some of the hair things I did in my 30s, but enough to afford an IG post. It took me 2 years to grow my hair that long and in 2 years of being #clean I’ve grown and changed so very much. Sometimes hair needs to change so that our outsides can give a glimpse into what the insides are doing. I am proud of this life I am in today. Not everyday. Some days i just want to escape. But lately #TheWheel has been on the upswing and I was low enough this last #depression to really appreciate the fuck out of this. It was so hard using and being depressed. But being clean and suffering a bought of serious depression was shockingly harder. I think so took to many good days for granted in my #recovery and I mean to not do that if I can avoid it. I made it to the black key tag. 2 years #clean today. Can’t lie and say life is amazing. I am clean though and that’s pretty cool. They tell you that your brain will start to get better after a couple of years clean. I can say it will get easier to live everyday life without the constant anxiety or fear. There is more clarity. For me, i can’t say that my mental health is totally healed and that I’m so happy now. I have C-PTSD so that is going to be a life long struggle for me. I’m having a hard time with that even though I e been in treatment for 2 years now. But, I am clean. I don’t have to get high. I go to bed every night. My life is pretty quiet and mostly lonely and boring. I still do t care to be close to people. I don’t think that’s going to change. But, I am clean. For what that is worth. For 2 years I have not put chemicals in my body to alter my state of mind. What an amazing and well needed 3 day weekend. Today I did a #tarot reading that was so deep and connected I finally opened a crack in the illness that’s been on me for a long time. Then I went to see the amazing Merry Star at the Mount Lemmon artists market and it felt like home. How I have missed markets, events, and TAROT READINGS. I talked to the organizer and he said I have a spot when I want it. I didn’t even know how much I have missed my tarot life until that moment. The people, the atmosphere, the talent, and the spirit of in person events is truly priceless. I will be on mount Lemmon this summer for sure. I won’t be a regular due to my schedule, but I will try to remember to post the weekends I plan to be up there. Yes, it’s a drive. But if you live in the #sonorandesert in the summer you already know it’s worth it. The air up there is clean, cool, and CONNECTED. My daughter and I had the most profound #spiritual experience today together. There is truly nothing in this world that compares to shared spiritual moments in my opinion. Today I was allowed to read for a deeply powerful #Gemini then I saw my dear friends Merry and Mike, and the icing on this day is the time my teenager gave me in a shared spiritual moment. Today was a good day. I belong reading tarot. Before covid I had no doubts of that. Post covid I let fear take over and started moving in another direction trying to “be responsible”. Fuck that. My dear friends #coyote were hanging out at an intersection on my way home from work yesterday. There were 2 but the others didn’t want their picture taken. They were definitely hungry and thirsty looking. Poor babies. Coyote is an amazing animal and they are constantly murdered like millions of other #animals each year so that humans can infest earth. Take care of the animals in your areas. Feed and water them. Protect them and thank them for the amazing #energy they share with you. Respect their lives and their homes as you do your own. These are as much a part of us as another human. SEE them. SEE each other. Leaving water for the animals or giving a few bucks to a panhandler is not going to kill you.
