🎥✨ MOVIE REVIEW ✨🎥
🌟🌟🌟🌟
MICKEY 17 (2025)
The entire time, I was unsure where the movie would go, and yet I was still surprised by every scene. The best way I could describe this movie is ….. deranged. That’s just the vibe.
Tumblr media
If Robert Pattinson doesn’t win every award possible for this role, then I don’t know what’s holy in the world anymore. I could rave for hours about his performance in this movie. We all know how talented of an actor Robert is but this movie really showcased it. He somehow played two completely different characters simultaneously on screen and made it so apparent as to which was which. From his cadence, posture, attitude, facial expressions, and so on; his performance was top notch! 🏆
Tumblr media
I really liked and empathized with the character of Mickey, #17 in particular. I felt sad for him but I also couldn’t help laughing at him at times. A perfect balance for the movie. Mark Ruffalo, wack. He’s been playing so many crazy mental characters lately, I just accepted it at this point. I couldn’t even question or be surprised by his crazy ass character. 🤡
This movie also made me have an existential crisis about what happens after death... and also how there are different personalities to you even if it's the same you, so that was fun...
Great movie; definitely worth the watch; I just wanted to glaze about Robert Pattinson. 🌟

🎥✨ MOVIE REVIEW ✨🎥
Nosferatu
I don’t know what I just watched, and I’m scared.  Am I weird if I say I wanted more vampire nasty time?  I was ready to see some sexy time; that was the selling point for me, and I walked out unsatisfied! Unfulfilled.  I wanted some 4k HD vampire action, and I was denied!
Tumblr media
The cast was stacked though, and the acting was phenomenal.  Loved Lily-Rose Depp; she was terrific in this movie.  Killed every scene she was in, and this horror genre fit her so well!  Of course, it’s Bill Skarsgard as another creepy creature.  Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were fun.  Odd combo, but it works so well.
Nosferatu was creepy, but that voice would make me chuckle.  His accent had me squinting to hear him better.  I could not understand him. And his heavy-ass breathing would tickle my ears.  I almost couldn’t take him seriously as this scary monster.  However, the scariest part of the movie was seeing his flat ass and tiny ass little legs.
Tumblr media
The cinematography and editing were top-notch!  A great homage to classic horror and the original Nosferatus. The black-and-white scenes added so much personality and creepiness to the movie.  The horror aspect was fantastically done.
I see now my error; this was definitely more gothic horror than some sexy vampire. I've been played. A lot of vampire pining but I needed the action!
All in all, cool creepy movie.  Watch for some scary times and blue balls.

📖🔥 BOOK REVIEW 🔥📖
Tumblr media
A Soul To Keep by Opal Reyna
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hear me out! I would smash! He’s the best guy around! 😍
Orpheus has come to claim Reia as his new “bride.” Sent against her will, she is determined to escape as soon as she can but finds it difficult when Orpheus is so kind and caring—definitely not trying to kill her and eat her as she had anticipated. 😏
I do love me a good ol’ Beauty and the Beast action, but I wasn’t expecting how heartfelt and wholesome this book would be! Our little Duskwalker is just a big softie who just wants some love and company. How could anyone not like him!? A man who is loving, kind, caring, and trying to learn everything that makes you happy?! That’s happy to receive the smallest bit of kindness?! I can’t; my heart will explode. 🥹
Tumblr media
And don’t even get me started on the steam! The spice was very spicy! I loved every second of it! I didn’t know almost getting eaten alive would be so fun. 😚
I felt like there was so much time and care put into this book outside of just the romance. There was a whole world we were immersed in with intricate magic and enemies. Every concept and lore of this series is so fun and unique. To have Duskwalker eyes correlate to their emotions was so fun to see executed! To have them feed off of and smell fear played great into our couple’s learning trust (considering he could have eaten her very easily)! 😍
Tumblr media
Everything just felt so purposeful and throughout. To see Orpheus’s brother having lesser “humanity”/knowledge really added to Orpheus’s efforts in growing and gaining knowledge to be able to build a home and care for Reia, even though we can see he still has much to learn. Everything combined played a part in helping this love story blossom while making room for more potential characters and couples.
Read it. The monster part just makes it more fun, trust me! 🔥

🎥✨ MOVIE REVIEW ✨🎥
TRANSFORMERS ONE 🔥
Why was this movie so genuinely good? I saw no advertising for it, no one was really talking about it, and I saw very little to no press either! Because of that, I completely forgot this movie was coming out and was going to miss it. The jokes were surprisingly very adult/mature. I expected Paw Patrol type humor, but there were some explicit jokes. The dynamics between the characters were very well written, and the relationship between Optimus and Megatron was perfectly complex. The plot of the movie itself wasn’t innovative or crazy. It’s a prequel, so most aspects were predictable or already told in the Michael Bay movies, but still enjoyable.
The cast - stacked. The jokes - hit. The story - interesting. The vibes - immaculate. This movie scratched the little itch in my brain, so I’m happy. 🔥
Tumblr media
I was a little skeptical about Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime, but I think he played the role well. He wasn’t perfect, not the voice I imagined for Optimus, but it was passable. Brian Tyree Henry was perfect as Megatron. Now that’s voice acting. Going from this sweet little robot to the menace of Megatron. *chef’s kiss* Keegan Michael Key was A STAR! He was so funny but not overbearingly. I don’t know how else to express it more than he was so funny, and it played so well in the movie. Of course, Jon Hamm, voicing our little villain as usual. Scarlett Johansson was there. I don’t think she really stood out, but she didn’t do poorly. 🤷🏻‍♀️
The only thing I’m confused about now is how this movie is related to the Michael Bay movies. Are the Michael Bay movies canon? Is Transformers One just a prequel to that series? Or are we going to get a different storyline, separate from the Michael Bay movies? I spent a lot of time in the movie predicting what would happen based on what I knew was coming from the other movies, but there were a few things I was wrong about … so I’m confused. ❓
Regardless, I’m extremely happy with this movie and I need the next one ASAP!

✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨
Whispers of the Deep by Emma Hamm 🧜‍♂️
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Synopsis: One of the many engineers that keeps Beta, the city under the sea, running, Mira only wants to make her family proud and to prove herself worthy. She knows the mysterious city better than anyone and it’s her dream to help it flourish.
But then, on a solo job in an abandoned section of the city, she encounters a monster of legend. An undine. A dangerous merman from an ancient civilization, long forgotten.
Arges has fought his entire life for his people. With deadly creatures under his control, he plans to eradicate Beta once and for all to protect his kind and their peaceful way of life. But when a human woman saves him, she unknowingly creates a bond between them, one he can’t ignore. Even though her flaming red hair haunts his dreams, he needs her for information on the undine’s enemies.
So he steals her. Keeps her. Feeds her. Only to realize their bond is far deeper than captor and captive. He cannot let her go—but he cannot keep her under the sea. In a battle to determine if love can survive a war beneath the waves, it will be their decision that changes the tides.
Review: Human x Merman???? SIGN ME UP! 🌟 This book had me by the throat! This romance was top-tier!
The “I want to hate you, but I can’t have you” pining was everything to me! Also, the trope of “being unable to communicate/learning to communicate with each other” is like a drug to me. Something about them both just spewing their guts out to each other, thinking that the other can’t understand them just gets me! I was eating it up! Also a man in charge that would kill for you? Sign me up. The humor was also amazingly unexpected in this book, and so many times, I was laughing out loud. 💕
Tumblr media
Before diving into this book, I saw some criticism about realism and plothole issues. I was wondering how it would pan out since the story would be taking place underwater, and there would be some nasty time with a merman, but whether the book was realistic or not did not affect my reading. I was having a great ol’ time, regardless.
Do you think I’m wondering how her breathing device is working underwater when she’s doing the nasty with the fishman? ❌ NO! I’m thinking about the nasty and where her leg is! Do you think I noticed that plothole I just read over? ❌ Noooooo! I was focused on the fact that they’re holding hands! I honestly don’t think issues with realism and/or plotholes are going to take away from your experience reading this book. I was here for a good time, not a scholarly time.
Ugh! …. Just pick up this book for a good fun time! 📖
