Saja Boys x Demon!Manager Reader

This is a series to satiate my hunger and thirst for these boys... This is a short chapter, a prologue if you will. This fic will be mainly crack/romantic, though serious elements will be touched on and written about.

TW: there are talks of a car crash, reader is written as if she has depression - that is up for interpretation

Hell sucks. It's constantly humid, there's always an ominous feeling of dread in the air and the inhabitants are akin to feral beasts. You aren't one to put yourself above others, but how could you not?

You were a recent arrival, having died in 2005 in a car crash thanks to some random black cat, and have yet to lose all your humanity. You never sold your soul to Gwi-ma, you were just a sinner. A lazy, good for nothing idiot.

To say you did nothing in life would be an understatement. You lived in your parent's house, ate heat up meals, read fanfiction and watched Kpop music videos. That was it. Until the day you died.

That day will forever be ingrained into your memories. You were sent out by your mother to grab a few things from the nearby convenience store, it was only a ten minute drive and you needed to get out of the house so you went with minimal complaint.

The sun was beautiful, your car was slow and old but today it drove smoothly. You got the necessary things before heading back.

As you were driving a cat ran out onto the road and in a moment of panic you swerved into oncoming traffic.

I'm sure you can guess how it went down from there.

Can you guess what layer of hell you're in? Sloth.

So, knowing all of this, never in a million years did you expect to bump into some black haired humanoid demon with a giant tiger while following some bird.

He was ethereal, angelic in a way uncommon in this void of a place. He reminds you of Kpop idols you'd see every now-and-again during your visits to the living realm. His eyes analyze you and you feel your back straighten and face flush - you swear it's not because of his attractiveness!

"What do you know about kpop?" He says suddenly, you pause. You blink once, then twice, processing the words. "What?" Is all you can get out.

"Kpop... You know, Korean pop? Clearly you're a newly dead, your markings aren't completely clear." He elaborates. You feel your cheeks heat up in embarrassment at his words. "I'm twenty years dead thank you very much! And yes, of course I know what kpop is. I was actually a big fan of it in my past life." You state, brows furrowed in annoyance.

He merely hums in amusement at your frustration. "Well... Are you open minded?" You tilt your head, confused. Open minded about what? He picks up on your obvious confusion and elaborates in the best way he can. "Would you be willing to help me and a couple... Friends of mine with a mission?" You pick up on the slight cringe in his voice at the 'friends' part though decide not to risk it.

"What's the plan?" Honestly, you didn't want to do anything. You just wanted to mope around for eternity and imagine dying once more - you aren't depressed though! Just bored and lazy! But, hey, you'll entertain a hot guy's ideas.

His grin seems to grow, revealing fangs. It was odd to see a demon take on a human form. You sure as hell don't, why bother? You aren't that body anymore. You've got long claws, sharp canines, big glowy eyes, your skin is purple, your marks a deeper purple. To say your true body even resembles a human's would be preposterous. Lucky thing you were a night demon - a sloth demon. One that hunts at night under the guise of sleep. So, your default form is human naturally.

This man, however, is clearly not a night demon. He might be a greed demon, one that prays on people's material wants and desires to steal souls. Which, by the way, anyone can do. He isn't special. An indicator of him possibly being a greed demon is the gold jewelry, something that typical demons don't wear.

"Well, I want to start a kpop boy band in the human realm to attract as many human souls as possible - and, of course, defeating the hunters. Now, my group and I have the looks, we just need someone to actually show us how to behave and what to say.." he trails off at the end, his grin faltering.

You hum in thought. Sounds boring. But, the chance at eating human souls sounds tempting. You're no glutton - kinda - but not even a fool would pass up this opportunity. So, you nod. "Yeah, sure. I'll manage you all." The demon raises a brow and you scoff. "What? That's what I'll be doing by the sounds of it - telling you how to act and talk and blah blah blah."

He scoffs before turning and walking off. After a couple steps he looks behind him "Are you coming or not?" You splutter before quickly catching up to him. You don't miss his self-congratulatory smirk.
