This is Yong Jin, my OC for The Disabled Tyrant’s beloved pet fish.

永津 = Eternal embroidery She/Her Asexual

Age: 11 Hair: Light brown. Eyes: Hazel

Personality: Reticent, hardworking, anxious, observant, patient, caring

She was captured from a village near the river that was conquered by the 3rd Prince. Jin ended up enslaved as a serving girl working in the royal palace. The traumatic experience of the invasion, haunted and rendered her selectively mute.

Despite having trouble speaking up, she works under Mu Tianchi, the 7th & 8th princes. She especially looks up to Wang Xi who ends up seeing her as family.

Due to having trouble socializing, Jin spends a lot of her time with Wang Xi and cleaning Jing Wang’s room and new fish tank. She also remembers to feed Xiong Feng the visiting dog. The experience helps her become an animal person.

Jin works hard to clean Mu Tianchi’s fish tank and looking after his pet carp, Xiaoyu. She does another chore and ‘poof!’ the fish flew the tank. It’s become a huge mystery to Jin and has considered staking out in the 5th prince’s own room.

On one free, particular and peculiar night she notices a strange light coming from Mu Tianchi’s room. She goes to take a small peak which dilates her own two hazel eyes…

Do I really need to add what happened next?

I sketched her out weeks ago and wanted to create an oc for the tdtbpf fandom and her she is!

The inspiration for Jin’s servant robes are what Mao Mao and Xiao Lan wear in The Apothecary Diaries

Literally me seeing him in the first episode: He’s just like me fr!!!

-Another TGCF!Garg I had fun creating but it took a while to sketch and color! I hope his color scheme isn’t overwhelming!

-Fu Yao’s the first Gargoyle to have 2 pronged wingtips instead of three or one. This is actually a thing in Gargoyles and some do have this trait in the show.

-His horns are inspired by a certain snarky crimson youth Gargoyle and his beak… do I really need to say the reference?

I’ve finished the first quarter of TGCF Gargoyles. The next batch will take some time since I’m trying to write more before school starts. So keep ur eyes peeled!

-Another Gargoyle!TGCF character I’ve finished drawing the same day I finished sketching Feng Xin

-I loved incorporating his Gargoyle feet into his dynamic pose!

-His horns are small to see on his forehead, his hand talons are gloved just like in the Donghua, and his design was inspired by Brooklyn

The next Garg!TGCF will be done pretty soon!

Decided to reblog to show XL’s updated design with a tail!

Also because I realized a few similarities between him and Goliath:

They’re both noble, merciful long dark haired warriors. Once well known leaders and heroes, Xie Lian was crown prince and Goliath was the leader of the Wyvern Clan. They both suffered a great loss of their people during a minimum of 800-1000 years ago , for Goliath it was the Wyvern Massacre, and Xie Lian the fall of Xianle. Finally they’ve also got brave and devoted dark haired lovers in red who they’ve saved from falling to their deaths from high buildings.

No one and their mom has done this au yet, so please allow me to be the first

TGCF Gargoyles AU

The quick gist is:

-Everything’s the same but all the characters are Gargoyles. Is anyone in the TGCF fandom also familiar and a huge fan of the Disney 90s show Gargoyles?

-In this AU, the Heavenly Officials can’t turn to stone, and they don’t possess the special amulets of the Mayan Clan. (See Gargoyles ep, The Green) Once they ascend, they can be awake in the day and night.

-Ghosts and Calamities also aren’t affected by the stone sleep after they’ve passed.

Xie Lian

-His origin is the same in canon. He does posses both cursed shackles seen above. Dang, I wonder what Goliath would’ve thought of XL? I mean, they basically share the same traumatic backstory.

-He does have Ruoye in this au (I just didn’t have any kind of confidence to sketch hands, like always)

-I was originally going to give him a beak to make him more unique and expressive (and because of my on again off again die hard crush on Brooklyn, *fiercely downs water*)

-I was worried I made his head kinda small

-His horns are inspired by a Wyvern clan Gargoyle Othello who appeared in the other show, who now goes by Coldstone, spoilers for Gargoyles sry

-Feng Xin and Broadway are also on two opposite ends of the romance spectrum. Since Broadway ended up with Angela in Canon, Feng Xin on the other hand does not want to get close to a woman!

Mu Qing! Finally! Like Ling Wen, I finished sketching and coloring him yesterday

-I gave him a beak to lean into the art style of Gargoyles. (And also because of my favorite and platonic crush on Brooklyn). I didn’t want to color his hair gray, ‘cause then he would’ve looked like a Brooklyn carbon copy. Also his pointy ears are concealed due to unintentional color blending.

-Speaking of Brooklyn, Mu Qing and him are on contrasting ends of the romance spectrum. While we all know in the series and comics, Brooklyn is a ladies-goyle. Meanwhile, Mu Qing, on the other hand, practices abstinence in his cultivation.

-He was really fun to sketch!

Now here’s Ling Wen!

-I really wanted to sketch a Gargoyle!TGCF character with their wings folded as a cloak/cape it was really cool whenever any Gargoyle in said TV show would do it. Ling Wen would obviously have her wings folded every day.

-Ling Wen’s horns are hidden, their shapes are inspired by Desdemona’s horns, a female Gargoyle who appeared in Season 2 Ep 3 Legion.
