But man is that Regulus

"feels like we have matching wounds" their childhood (always)

"but mines still black and blue" Regulus being stuck there in that house, and not only is he being affected by the trauma, but still experiencing it. His "bruises" are still black and blue because they are new

"and yours is perfectly fine" Sirius making it out and is seemingly fine. No longer is he still experiencing the trauma, and also it seems like it has no affect on him. Regulus still lives in that house where Sirius is unaffected and living with the Potters. He is perfectly fine

I ordered and received this art a few months ago, but I didn't post it earlier on ao3, as it doesn't relate to any of my stories, and it would be a sin to hide it further

James is strong enough to drag Sirius away (to Quidditch practice, to run through the forbidden forest, to the kitchens when he gets hungry, etc), when he's too lazy and refuses to move

He doesn't know yet that Sirius will follow him anywhere

Sirius pretends to resist James' requests, curious about what James will do (in fact, he knows that James will just throw him over his shoulder and drag him away, and Sirius is waiting for exactly that)

He doesn't know yet that James is ready to carry him in his arms every day, even if there is no reason for it

Latest Gryffindor party-Someone is spotted and a photo is taken.

It not the best but like the factor in which this was made is crazy. I have not drawn at all for two years, I have never before drawn digitally, and I did this on an iphone as I do not have a tablet!

At a party, late into the night and Sirius is gone. Wearing moony's sweater because he truly is Sirius' best mate, and when he saw how cold Sirius was earlier in the night, he gave him his sweater. Looking over, Sirius makes eye contact with Remus, and because Sirius is drunk, not for any other reason, a blush makes his way to his cheeks when he sees Moony.

Sirius didn't even knew the photo was taken till the next morning when the Marauders very own copy(who tf gave James a copy) was shoved into his face. At that point everyone at school had seen it and the picture was all any one was talking about. Who was Sirius Black looking at?

When the war really started to break out in their sixth year, the girls all created a plan. They would go into hiding in the muggle world, somewhere like London. Then Marlene fell in love with Dorcas, and she joined in on the plans to go into hiding. They all had muggle family whose lives would be at risk. Their own lives are at risk now, and this was the safest thing to do. That was until The Order came to be, and the headmaster decided to recruit a bunch of teenagers to fight the war. Marlene loved the idea, wanted to be on the front lines in the battle ground. Soon Dorcas decided she also did not want to just hide while their friends are out their fighting for all of their lives. Lily and Mary thought that more nameless deaths, as they would become if the joined the army, would not help anyone win. After that Marlene stopped talking to them as much, and soon after, so did Dorcas.

In late seventh year, Lily started dating James and with that Mary was left alone. Lily found out that James was also in the headmaster's army, and she decided to join. Saying to Mary how even if they did die, it is better then what will happen if the dark lord wins. Mary refused to even speak to Lily, because to her it wasn't. To her the means will never out way the cause if the mean are innocent kids dying.

After graduation, they all barley talked to her. She was invited to Lily and James' wedding, but decided against going. They were going to have a kid in the middle of a war that they were most likely going to lose, and no one thought twice about it. Plus the last time she spoke to anyone besides Lily, they all judged Mary. Judged her for not wanting to die for a bunch of people who have done nothing but discriminate against her.

When Marlene and Dorcas, then lily and James died, Mary could not stand it anymore. Exactly what she knew was going to happen, happened. Mary could not justify joining the war, but she could justify this. 'Maybe now i'll be happy, now that I don't know about the ghosts that haunt me' Mary thought as she brought the wand to her forehead, and she did not think twice before whispering that one word.

Hc that after graduating from Hogwarts and moving into a flat with Remus, Sirius found the cutest kitten on planet earth about a block away. After begging to keep it, they named the little black cat whiskers. Neither Remus or Sirius liked the name, but for some reason, it stuck. Whiskers was everyone's favourite, and always got treats from everyone that came by their house.

When Regulus died Sirius could not stand the black cat anymore. His little brother always wanted a cat. Regulus was a baby black cat really. After his passing, Sirius refused to show anyone that he was affected by his death, and everyone would have believed him if it wasn't for the constant yelling at Whiskers. Telling him to leave, that Sirius hated the stupid cat. It got to the point where if people did not come take care of the cat when Remus was out on a mission, he would not be taken cate of. All because Sirius refused to even look at him.

Later when the cat ran away, as expected, Sirius cried for weeks. Letting all the tears he refused to shed for Regulus be let out through the loss of Whiskers. Only then did he mourn Regulus, when his sadness was disguised. When he was crying about a cat half of him thought was his baby brother.

they only want you when you're 17. when you're 21, you're no fun

Why is that so marauders coded. Like how dumbledor wanted all of them for the order at 17. Made a bunch of teens fight the war, but at 21 he just gives up. Like what. Now this is more fanon, but like if he knew peter was the spy, yet did nothing to change that. Why? At 17 they were so useful and wanted, yet at 21 they are all killed, or worse, for no reason. And some, if not most, of those deaths could have been avoided, but just weren't. You would think someone would know Sirius Black did not do it, or even question it, but no. He was insanely loyal at 17, to the point that everyone talking about him decades later mentions it, but only a few years he is killing his best friend. The one that saved him. Marlene and lily dying, but not for some noble cause, because they were just useless deaths to both of the armies, yet at 17 they were necessary for the cause. 

Honestly it really is just them.
