Okay I know 2000s romcoms are well... Chock full of good ol 2000s culture but I was not prepared for the monstrosity I watched today.

In this movie the girl meets a guy who accidentally time travelled to the present (2000s present) from the late 19th century and falls in love with him over the course of 7 days in absolute romcom fashion (hates him at first, head over heels for him by the end) AND THEN TRAVELS BACK IN TIME TO BE WITH HIM.

But that's not all she was offered a HUGE promotion at her job and she leaves literally in the middle of her announcement speech

I wish it ended there but the guy she falls in love with was brought to the present by, that guy's own great great grandson.

And how does the great great grandson know our lead woman? HE USED TO DATE HER.

In fact he was one of the main people who encouraged her to go back in time

Nothing beats reading a post from someone who's astronomically down bad. They post the most normal pic of the most normal looking guy I've ever seen in my life and maybe he adjusts his watch or something and they go "OMG LOOK AT HIM, HIS HOODED EYES, HIS DARK HAIR, HIS SLY SMILE, HE IS THE MOMENT, ICONIC, SLAYBURGER" while I'm here like. I don't know what it is about this. But this is the single most unrelatable paragraph for me ever. This is how I find out I am selfish. Honestly I don't know how I live like this... No one I know lives like this either...

The fact that people don't think friendship is enough to justify characters doing insane acts of love for each other baffles me. Like have you never loved your friend so so much you want to live in their ribcage. Have you never been really weird about a friend. Have you never wanted to bite your friends parents or shove them down a staircase. Have you never wanted to be buried in the same grave as a friend. Have u never. How do u people live like this.
