Damn I wish more shows/movies would give their female main characters any other personality traits aside from 'slightly goofy'

Maybe the real Bothans were the friends we made along the way
So, after watching Andor and rewatching Rogue One, I still don't know what a Bothan is.
Help?

No cause what the hell do you mean 'when it became clear that emergency aid was required Leia Organa immediately reached out to the only group she could be sure would answer. Within days three heavy freighters full of bacta and food were charted and delivered to Wobani, all paid for and piloted by Alderaanian refugees' What the hell do you mean these people were still willing to do and give whatever they could to help others even after losing everything.

I love Andor so much because it's the epitome of 'i would save the world for you'. I love you so much I'm going to give my life to doing the grueling work of making the world a better place for us. I'm willing to sacrifice everything for a world we can be safe and happy in. You loved me so much it showed me the galaxy was worth saving.

Idk man something about the wedding ceremony scene in ep. 2 just felt like watching someone being condemned to death, like the ominous drumbeat, stilted formal words and the complete absence of any real intimacy or love is just meant to make you feel dread while watching it. Something about the tradition of the father handing a literal knife to the husband to cut the wife's braid as a way of symbolically severing her ties to her youth and family. Something about the shot lingering on the scene of leida's braid being cut and the knife so close to her throat makes you feel like you just witnessed an act of violence, just without any blood.

Can't even be mad about all the jokes about how dumb Ancient Roman names sounded as a history student when I know there was a real person that existed in Ancient Rome named Publius Fannius Synistor.

'For one of the primary purposes of [the Clone Wars] was to brutalize the population of the galaxy... This war has to be more destructive, more chaotic, more disruptive, and more horrifying than they could have believed... Civilians had to die in huge numbers on besieged worlds. Property had to be destroyed. Economies had to collapse. Planets had to starve... Because when Palpatine was ready to bring about the end of the conflict, both populations had to be so desperate for that moment that they would gratefully embrace peace. They must be so grateful that they would not care about the price it came at or what was traded away to achieve it.'

A lot of people don't like the Ahsoka/ the unarmed inquisitor fight in Tales of the Jedi but I think it perfectly illustrates one thing about the inquisitors and that's that they are endurance predators. They rely entirely on their prey being afraid and tired to win a fight. Without the infinite resources and intelligence of the empire, and against a trained and experienced Jedi, they actually just ain't shit.
It was the same with the Kanan/ grand inquisitor fight at the end of season 1 of Rebels, when Kanan let go of his fear he was about to beat the grand inquisitor in a matter of seconds. And I think that really reflects the whole light side/ dark side conflict as a whole as those who depend on fear versus those who have the strength to overcome it.

No offense but the only correct way to eat watermelon is when you're ten years old and it's a hot summer afternoon and you've spent all day running around with your friends and someone's mother has cut it up into triangles for you and you're devouring it like a starving man and the juices are dripping all over your dirty sticky fingers and it tastes like the best thing in the entire world.

He hasn't. His wife is like "I'm going to do Jedi training with Luke and make rocks float with my mind" and he's just like "that sounds nice sweetie"
anyway sound off. at what stage do ppl think Han figured out the Force was real. the boring answer is after seeing Obi-wan vanish but i think he could rationalise that away as his eyes playing tricks on him. what do we think.

Rewatching the Ekko / Powder dance scene in ep. 7 and it made me wonder what type of dress Jinx would wear and after much deliberation I have concluded the only correct answer is this:

It's hilarious that the Skeleton Crew trailer depicts Jod/ Crimson Jack as some sort of wise mentor/ guardian figure when after the first 3 episodes is obvious he's the epitome of a man failure. Like in the span of 3 episodes he:
- starts multiple arguments with the literal 10 year olds he's traveling with and loses all of them
- beefs with the only other adult on the ship (a droid)
- tells said 10 year olds to shoot at New Republic cops in X-wings so they can escape the law
- is racist against droids
- almost crashes their only ship multiple times
- all of his 'friends' betray him and rat him out instantly like
He's such an absolute loser I love him so much

Did you know?
In Russian, a drum is called a барабан (barabun) because that's the sound it makes when you play it?
