Just wanted to say that your GladiSun story is a blessing. It's literally most impossible to find any stories involving this ship, let alone ones that are this amazing! I love the relationships between the characters and the whole set up with the romance. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people rush the romance, but you actually took the time to establish their relationship and the complications that come along with love. Hats off to you for going through with this story. Amazing work. <3

The Champion was about to ask whether or not she wanted to meet him that day, but he was interrupted by Dana calling for her mother. “Ow!” He said, clutching his ear. He wished he hadn’t, because he didn’t want at all to be rude to Dana. It was just instinct... And besides, her voice was very high-pitched and loud...

“Well, I guess I can come over. Tell you what, if you give me your address, I can be there in an hour and a half... I’m sorta... In the middle of something right now. Does that sound good?”

hearing about this, i was immediately paranoid about reblogging literally anything from anyone i don’t talk to on a regular basis.

Sun decided that he deserved to sleep that night, even though it was uncommon for him - He’d proven that Team Skull was no threat, after all, and he’d made a new friend while he was at it.

In the morning, he felt incredibly groggy and decided that, even though it wreaked havoc on his long-term wellness, it was much easier to just keep working without sleeping for a single minute until the weekend. After spending a good few hours lying in bed and failing to fully wake up, Sun’s phone vibrated and he suddenly remembered his promise to Dana.

He answered hurriedly, worried he’d miss the call in his unfocused, bleary-eyed state.

He hadn’t saved Dana as a contact yet, and although he was pretty sure he recognized the number, he answered as if he didn’t know who was on the other end, just to be safe.

“Hello, this is Alolan Champion Sun. I’m always at my people’s service - What can I do for you on this lovely morning?” He despised the greeting, but Kukui had told him the people liked it when he acted a little full of himself. Besides, it was a lie - So far, Sun had hated the morning, because all it had consisted of was an angry alarm clock and an even angrier body, one of which demanded that he wake up and the other which told him he’d die if he didn’t go back to sleep.

The loud thump echoed in his ears, and he jumped away from the phone instinctively. 

“Again? For fuck’s -” He cut himself off when he heard the phone scrape along the floor, probably because Dana was picking it up. She claimed to have already been exposed to such language, but still... There was no reason to swear in front of her when he didn’t need to.

“Okay, that sounds good! I might not be available earlier in the morning... If I sleep at all tonight, I’ll probably end up sleeping pretty late, so don’t think I’m ignoring you. I’m probably just dreaming about princes and kingdoms. If I’m lucky, that is... Thanks for being so helpful. It was a real pleasure talking to you! I feel like I’ve made a great friend. Goodnight!!”

Just because I ship-shame a little in this for humour purposes doesn’t mean I actually dislike any of these ships... Except maybe LunarEdge :P I love all of the others though! Especially MoonLily! Also, just because I depict some of these shippers as ship-shaming, inflammatory pieces of shit, doesn’t mean I actually believe they’re all like that. Just... Y’know, some. And yes, I’m aware there are plenty of GladiSun shippers who are just as bad. Besides, I feel like so little people ship GladiSun and so many GladiSun shippers have been told it has “No chemistry” that I think we deserve to be able to poke fun at some other shipping communities, don’t you? The S.S. GladiSun is a five-star, critically acclaimed, high-luxury cruise ship that tours the seas of Nullola. No, not Alola, but Nullola. 

Enjoy breathtaking views, exquisite cuisine, and amazing destinations as you get to know our wonderful crew of characters, who seem to have a different personality and backstory each time you go on a different cruise, because such is the nature of multiple cruises using the same ship... So... If you take two cruises in rapid succession, have fun trying to keep track of which cast belongs to which one, because God, is it hard! 

Our first stop on all of our tours is Exposition Island. Every good ship starts with Exposition Island, and our cruise is no different! Exposition Island allows you to become accustomed to the crew’s personalities, various backstories, and whether you’re on one of those angsty-Gladion-that-Sun-doesn’t-understand tours or one of those Sun-and-Gladion-both-have-issues tours.

Next, enjoy a variety of stops on gorgeous islands that are part of three main chains: The Angst Isles, the Smut Isles, and the Fluff Isles. Be advised, however, that this is the S.S. GladiSun, and, therefore, roughly 75-90% of your stops will be on one of the islands in the Angsteese Chain, with some fluctuations for certain cruises.

Our cruises consistently receive the highest ratings of all Alolan Ships in categories like stops on the Angst Isles, and.... Um... Stops on the Angst Isles... And um... Not much else, actually. Um... There are very little GladiSun tours to begin with, and then add on top of that the fact that stops on the Fluff Isles normally account for only about 5-10% of our cruises, and stops on the Smut Isles usually sit at about 0% because everyone’s worried about being accused of preferring younger Smut Isles that were formed more recently in Geological History, even if the crew is explicitly aged-up and therefore it shouldn’t matter. But they’re right to worry, because GladiSun ships are consistently accused of being Island Pedophilic, despite the fact that MoonLiliy and LunarEdge shippers get away with the same thing all the time, and nobody bats an eye.

And if you’re still not sold, keep in mind that our cruises will demand very little of your time, since somewhere near 90% of them end up being extremely short. They’re either one-stop cruises, or they advertise themselves as being multi-stop cruises, but end up giving up about halfway through and throwing you off the ship and into the ocean, leaving you to wonder what happened to the crew you had become so emotionally invested in, and whether the ship ever reached its destination. And probably also drown. Um... Whooooops!

In short, the S.S. GladiSun really needs your money and patronage, because we are going under, despite constant critical praise. And by going under, I don’t mean the ship is sinking. I mean that we are literally running out of money because apparently everyone’s too busy shipping the guy who needs a lot of emotional support with Moon, whose take-no-shit-attitude actually prevents her from being a good girlfriend to Gladion, to actually realize that it’s a stupid ship and Gladion’s probably very gay. And I also mean that we’re literally sinking, because, ironically enough, the MoonLilly and LunarEdge ships teamed up to sabotage us, and now are just fighting with each other, loudly accusing each other of being homophobic, or sexist, or a “snowflake,” or something like that, until everyone gets so confused that nobody remembers who’s who, and who ships what, and why we’re even still playing these games and participating in their fandoms after 20 years.

Oh, and have fun when the Haudion Cruise and Kalasshipping Cruise patrons literally rip your arms off while accusing you of either denying what’s apparently in the game’s canon, accusing you of being racist for not liking Hau, or saying that you deserve to burn in hell all because you simply prefer Sun’s chemistry with Gladion, or headcanon Hau as asexual and/or aromantic, or interested in Lillie instead, or literally any other reason they don’t like. Which, I’m warning you, is all of them.

But wait...! That just reminded me of the best part! Being constantly told the ship has no chemistry, even though you love it, which is one of the most insulting forms of ship-shame. Watch out, you’ll get that a lot.

The Pokemon Fandom - We’ve been shipping the male rivals in each game for upwards of 20 years, with them sometimes becoming our most popular ships, like Hilbert X N, Gold X Silver, and Brendan X Wally, and the ship that is arguably the most popular Pokemon ship and perhaps the most well-known yaoi video game ship of all time (Red X Green/Blue), is also a male rival ship, yet for Sun and Moon we just suddenly decided we won’t do those anymore. Why? Who fucking knows! 

So, you still want to get on board the ship? I mean, who fucking wouldn’t! With great chemistry and a message that even those who smile constantly can be going through tough times, it’s got a little bit of something for everyone. Except people who want smut.

Arceus, she sounds exhausted!! Thought Sun. She seemed even more tired than when she’d answered him on the phone after she had fallen asleep the first time. He wanted to let her get back to bed as soon as possible, so he just agreed.

“Yeah! That sounds good. I’ll see you tomorrow then... Just call me, okay?”

Sun hoped he didn’t sound too eager to hang up on her, but he did really want her to get to bed, and he did have a lot of work left to do that night...

{Activity Notice}

{So, classes started for me a couple of weeks ago, and that’s why I’ve been inactive. I pretty much forgot that this was part of my life because things have been so stressful. The good news, though, is that I’m working on a new Pokemon fanfic, because I didn’t forget that shipping was part of my life. So expect that within the next few weeks as I finish it (It’s very huge XD) and begin to clean up the mess that is my first draft :P Anyways, thanks for sticking with me. I’m gonna try to get some replies done this week and weekend.}

Sun felt awful upon hearing how tired she was. He didn’t want her to lose sleep over him! 

“Yes? Yes, it’s me. It’s okay, most people would fall asleep this late at night. Ahem... I should be asleep too, frankly.” He chuckled nervously because he knew the truth: If the last few months were any indication, he wasn’t going to bed anytime soon, perhaps at all that night.

“You’ll see me tomorrow... Or the next day, whenever's best for you. Just... You have my number, right? Just call me anytime you want to meet somewhere or just chat. I feel like it’s the least I can do to make up for calling you so late at night...”
