i just know the book will be a five star review when i keep thinking about how i am perpetually in love and will take my time with the book because the amount of serotonin and tears it brings me is just too much and i know once i finish it, i would give the world to read it again for the first time 🩷

My feelings are numb and my heartrate is heightened
Keep myself high with attention divided
So when death approaches
I will not be frightened”

I look in the mirror,
convincing myself:
Give it time,
it’ll get better.
But time went by
and it got worse,
the once feelings of dread,
have now become numb,
life monotone,
Inspiration? Gone.
Now, I look in the mirror,
the tired eyes have become more tired,
the thunderstorm of feelings have long been extinguished,
the will to try, diminished.
they said: It’ll get better.
But…
what if it won’t?

Silently,
sorrowfully,
and shamelessly awaiting.
The days to come,
will they care for me?
As well as I cared for you?

super great advice, thank you so much <3
hi, i just wanted to ask if you have the time to post something explaining what gauge is? i mean, i see it all the time with knitters and as a beginner i fee a little lost, also how do you go about making a gauge swatch?
Gauge is how loose or tight you knit. Different people knit at different tensions, so for example I knit kind of tightly so my gauge is smaller than, say, most continental knitters. A gauge swatch is how you check how your gauge compares to the person's who wrote the pattern. Let's say a pattern calls for 20 stitches per 4 inches, but when I knit a swatch using the yarn I'm going to use and the needle size the pattern calls for, I get 23 stitches per 4 inches. Thia tells me I need to go up a needle size from what the pattern calls for in order to get the finished garment to be the right size.
Some gauge swatches are just a stockinette stitch square and some are a small section of the pattern. You knit the swatch, block it if you're going to block the finished object (blocking is getting the item wet and then pinning it to shape and letting it dry. Then you take the pins out, let it rest for a while, THEN measure your gauge swatch). Then you measure how big your swatch is compared to how big it's supposed to be and choose needle size from there.
Gauge swatches can also tell you about your yarn. Does it drape a way you like? Are you substituting different fibers? Gauge swatch will show you how your chosen fiber works (because different fibers stretch differently). Additionally, it can show you what your yarn looks like worked up. This can help you decide if you like how that yarn looks in that pattern.
Gauge is important! You should check it on anything that it's important it come out the right size or that you would be disappointed if the finished object was a foot shorter than expected.

i wait for you
forlornly in the shadows
the moon looks lovely today
i wonder,
how will she look when i finally meet you?
- quietly, i wait.
