Tenacity Rose (Legacy Day)

Prince Charming who?

Where Queen Damascena spends most of her time preparing Briar to be the next Sleeping Beauty, Tenacity and her brothers are trained by their father, King Valor, to be the very best princes they can be (if their names don’t give that away).

Despite being a princess now, Tenacity hasn’t changed much concerning her battle strategy in life. You’ll never find her without a blade, be it a battle sword or a decorative saber (as you never know when a dragon or gargoyle will need slaying!). She bows at the hip, kisses hands, writes romantic laments to recite under balconies, and loves, loves, loves gold embellishments in her formal attire 😅💪

I’d say Tenacity can match Daring in her ability to be utterly charming, and could give Darling a good challenge in a sword fight.

kissing the costume team on the mouth for what they did with penelope in episodes one and eight. when she attends lady danbury's ball in out of the shadows she is wearing such a similar dress (down to her hair and jewelry) to when she attends the dankworth finch ball in into the light aside from a few key details.

in episode one she is more subdued. she has darker accessories and lighter makeup. the gloves are longer and more concealing. the waist is higher, still similar to her older more contemporary styles. she’s noticeable for sure but there’s something about her that’s playing it safe.

then, in episode eight, we see her in a dress of very similar color (it’s hard to see in these gifs but beggars can’t be choosers with the tumblr gif search) and style. the sleeves and neckline are the same, the hair is nearly identical, and the accessories are similar. but now, she shines. from the brighter makeup including that dark red lip to the silver shimmering details on her dress she is radiant and totally in her own skin as her dress fits even better. she has truly come into her own.

note: this is a very cursory read of the costuming and if i had more time i’d go into it deeper but just as a quick take, bah duh bah bah bah i’m lovin’ it.

Tenacity Rose (Wonderland)

@wolfdragonpower specifically requested Tenacity in Wonderland and I’m more than happy to oblige :)

Tenacity always has an air of princely elegance to her? No doubt carrying over from the training she got from her father growing up.

Like the rest of her brothers, she has the special ‘charm’ their family is famous for, as well as the sleeping curse from her mom’s side. So she can literally charm you into a stupor, then fall asleep right after and forget you were even talking 😅

In Wonderland specifically, rather than a blade, Tenci carries a flamingo croquet mallet and wears caps on her fingers to keep from accidentally getting pricked by the wild rose bushes
