Having spent the better part of three hours teaching teenage boys to knit and crochet, I will say that it was an unexpectedly pleasant experience. They took it very seriously and were very intent on getting it right, and were very pumped when I told them they were doing it right. A highlight of the night occurred when one guy moved on from crocheting with a hook to knitting with needles, and his friend (still crocheting) looked over in absolute astonishment and said “woah, when did you get two sticks?!”

Fondly remembering when I was still in the planning stages of this Hawks doll and I thought that putting magnets inside his feet would be enough to keep him standing. Dolly order for 2022! No new characters this time but I believe this is the only the second time I’ve done Ariel in her blue dress. Also this family REALLY loves Belle; I can’t even remember how many I’ve done for them lol!

Sheryl hating the Barbara wig is so cathartic to me because I hate too but for different reasons. I actually hate iterations of it, like the pilot wig, god awful, just awful. The season 2 episode 1 wig? Love it, favorite iteration, it has the right style and volume. I don’t think we’ve seen that particular wig again this season. The rest of season 2 wig? Not as bad as the season 1 wig, but still not great.
