rough Neotropolis/Wasteland weekend persona concepts because I’m insatiable now ig sorry
thoughts and notes under cut
1. When I was discussing concepts originally, I pitched an android doctor, but the more time I spent on Pinterest looking at other peoples costumes the more I was convinced I needed to go-big-or-go-home, and prosthetic panel lines just weren’t going to satisfy me. Had to go full robot about it. Top 10 predictable moments probably. 3 things about me are that I’m committed to the bit, I love hemorrhaging money, and I love wearing uncomfortable clothes
The mask/helmet is from Burgerstrings Designs LLC. He does great work, and I love the idea of buying a blank to customize myself. I haven’t made costumes in a few years and I want to be redeemed, I guess.
This is actually the second time I made up an evil robot doctor character and maybe I’m just an unoriginal fraud but idgaf. Kind of obsessed with the idea of a surgeon who can’t experience -- and consequently doesn’t understand -- physical pain. I think it’s really sinister and compelling and I will not be silenced.
Inspo highlights: A / B / C
2. Not as much to say about this one. Thought hazard signage theming would be fun. I really like old motorcycle/motorcross helmets, I think they hit a lot of the same notes as space helmets (and also you can by them used cheap)
I’m sure a psychologist would love to get into why I covered the face in every concept, but honest to god I just don’t want to think about styling my hair or getting a close shave at a campground. Also I look awful in yellow.
Inspo highlights: A / B / C
3. Just really wanted to do a western look; I think they're underutilized at the event, judging from what I've seen. The original vibe I wanted to go for had a poncho/serape situation but... the heat, man. I had to pair it down, had to look out for my hypothetical future self.
I'm so committed to not dying that I've convinced myself that I can successfully sew two pairs of pants together in lieu of real chaps, but maybe I'm crazy for that idk
Inspo highlights: A / B / C

Jon Hamm: I've worn everything on this show, from nothing to a rug wrapped around me to a beautiful bespoke suit.
Kate Carin (Costume Designer): When we see him at the bookshop for the ball, we thought it would be hilarious that Aziraphale had asked him to get really dressed up for it. So we did a bit of a homage to Liberace. So he's got a powder blue dinner suit that's encrusted with rhinestones. And then Douglas asked if we could do some sort of coat to go on top of it for one of the scenes when he leaves. So, of course, we didn't do just a coat. We did a huge ostrich feather coat, which we made from scratch. The girls did all the ombre on the feathers so it matches the dinner suit, gets lighter and lighter blue as it comes to the top, and then he's kind of surrounded by this halo of white feathers.
Sarah-Kate Fenelon (Producer): There is a shot when he emerges from the bookshop to meet all of the demons and say, like, I am who you're looking for, where he looks a little bit like an angel. And the silhouette of him kind of emerging in the light is very epic and is then just completely undercut by sort of, move out of the way. (video)

So happy to finally show off my final piece for the Tome of Pacts zine I feature in.
This is Hagne, the Herald of Rot, and faithful servant to her Patron, Cicardia. Her look was inspired by several things -- death masks, pomegranates, worn bronze, flies and centipedes. The butterflies she carries feed on death and decay. Hagne herself felt the cold embrace of the grave, but was blessed to find herself given another chance. She will not fail.
I am so honored to have been a part of this project, and this is one of my favorite pieces to date. I hope you guys enjoy it as well. :)

Good Omens x Wild West
Jumped on the transcontinental railroad to play around with how our ineffable husbands would look in the wild west.
Fun facts
Crowley hates horses and horses hate him
Aziraphale is posing as a doctor
Crowley has two guns, but doesn't know how to use them (Aziraphale does, though.)
Aziraphale has to keep miracling away his sunburns because he always forgets his hat (or loses it)
Edit because this is more important to me than it should be lol: not an AU! They're still Angel and Demon, it's merely canon-divergent I would say.

I was feeling design-y. Something I’ve never been good at in my art is small details. I find them tedious. But I wanted to try since I’m on a short EAH kick right now. So here’s Briar.
Lowkey kinda offended we didn’t see a spooky season inspired episode with actually themed designs rather than just characters in hoods, but that’s just me I guess lol. All I know is that Briar would host a page ripper of a Halloween party and dress equally well for the occasion.

Took Alexandria Neonakis' Schoolism class on costuming, and the main assignment was to design the costume for a character in a book, movie, etc. Her example was Tom Bombadil and Goldberry, so I designed Mina Harker from the book Dracula! I tried to make her outfits as close to 1880/1890's designs as I could. Her clothes are of an older style, as she was a school teacher and Jonathan had only just been certified, so in my mind they didn't have a lot of money, and then...Dracula happened.
Very informative class, would recommend!
