002. Do they do anything to celebrate their birthday?

frankly , not  anymore . most  years  he’d  just  want  Carol  and  Steve  around  and  do  whatever  they  felt  like  doing  at  the  time , but  post  both  Carol  and  Steve  leaving , Tommy  hasn’t  exactly  had  a  good  birthday  track  record . the  first  birthday  after  the  breakup , he’s  spent  drunkenly  trying  to  hijack  the  middle  school’s  snow ball  with  some  other  kids , which  resulted  in  him  getting  police - escorted  from  school  grounds  with  a  one  month  detention  afterwards , and  his  last  birthday , he’s  spent  in  prison  -  and  because  his  parents  didn’t  tell  anyone  where  he  really  was  out  of  embarrassment , nobody  came  to  visit  him  either . after  that , he’s  not  exactly  interested  in  celebrating  his  birthday  anymore .

004. Do they prefer being alone or with others?

with  others . always . Tommy  is  terrified  of  those  intrusive  thoughts  sneaking  in  whenever  he’s  alone , and  it  digs  up  a  good  ton  of  childhood  trauma , involving  his  parents  simply  never  being  there , leaving  him  all  by  himself  at  such  a  young  age  as  nine . Tommy  also  suffers  from  massive  separation  anxiety  -  he’ll  develop  cabin  fever  an  hour  into  being  alone  and  try  and  leave  to  just  be  around  people . doesn’t  even  matter  who  it  is , they  don’t  even  have  to  talk  to  him , so  long  as  he  can  hear  and  see  people . after  starting  a  fight  in  juvie , they  put  him  in  solitary  for  two  days  to  cool  off  and  Tommy  ended  up  having  a  full - blown  panic  attack  in  his  cell . he  knows  it’s  sad  and  kinda  pathetic , but  he  simply  cannot  be  alone .

010. Do they believe in love at first sight?

no . mainly  because  he  hardly  ever  notices  people  outside  of  his  circle  long  enough  to  truly  register  them , take  them  in , and  find  anything  interesting  to  fall  in  love  with . he  also  needs  to  know  a  person  to  develop  feelings  for  them . while  he  absolutely  can  find  a  stranger  attractive , actual  feelings  take  a while  with  him .

012. What makes your character embarrassed?

public  humiliation  in  any  way  or  form . be  it  losing  a  basketball  match  or  a  fight , or  being  chided  or  even  corrected  in  some  instances  when  others  can  see  and  hear  it , all  of  that  will  fire  up  every  cell  in  his  body , and  he  immediately  goes  into  fight  or  flight  mode  -  and  flight  usually  isn’t  on  the  menu  with  this  boy . for  someone  so  insecure , actually , Tommy  sure  has  an  ego  and  it  bruises  very  easily  unfortunately . on  top  of  that , embarrassment  is  very  easy  to  track  in  Tommy’s  behaviour (  darting  eyes , hands  balling  into  fists , backing  off  a  few  steps  before  planting  himself , squaring  his  shoulders ) and  it’s  best  to  get  him  away  from  the  situation  before  someone  gets  hurt .

033. Do they keep their promises?

surprisingly  enough , yes , always . Tommy , strangely  enough , takes  promises  very  seriously . he  has  experienced  the  shattering  disappointment  of  broken  promises  ( ‘ sure , honey , we’ll  have  dinner  together  tonight , promise . ’  ;  ‘ I’ll  come  to  your  match  this  weekend , bud , promise . ’  ;  ‘ yes , Thomas , your  father  and  I  will  pick  you  up  when  you’re  being  released , I  promise . ’ ) and  doesn’t  want  to  cause  that  level  of  disappointment  in  others . it’s  why  it  can  be  difficult  to  coax  one  out  of  him  -  he  only  gives  promises  he  knows  he  can  and  want  to  keep . otherwise , commitment  can  sound  a  little  vague  with  Tommy , but  he  might  still  pull  through  and  deliver .

039. What do they think is the worst thing that can be done to a person?

cutting  ties  without  an  explanation , thus  giving  said  person  no  chance  to  actually  move  on . he’d  rather  have  that  uncomfortable  conversation  and  know  what  he’s  done , so  he  can  understand , instead  of  simply  being  cut  out  of  someone’s  life  like  that . it  ends  up  being  the  main  difference  between  Steve  leaving , and  Carol  leaving , too . Carol  had  the  talk  with  him , told  him  what  he’d  done  to  fuck  up  so  bad , and  while  it  shattered  him , he  at  least  has  something  to  reflect  on  now  ( if  he  is  brave  enough , that  is ) . Steve  basically  just  walked  away  leaving  the  reasons  to  Tommy’s  own  imagination , and  those  reasons  might  not  reflect  Steve’s  reality . Tommy  thus , finds  it  a  lot  easier  to  forgive  Carol  and  still  be  amicable  with  her , than  he  does  with  Steve .

051. If they knew they would die tomorrow, what would they do today?

sleep  with  his  former  best  friend  apparently  ahem . to  be  perfectly  honest  -  probably  nothing  out  of  the  ordinary ? get  in  his  car  just  for  a  drive , drink  and  smoke  too  much , and  eventually  just  settle  in  and  wait  for  it  to  end ? talk  to  Carol  one  last  time , somehow , just  to  hear  her  voice .  if  it  were  just  him  dying , he  also  wouldn’t  tell  anyone . it’s  his  understanding  of  not  being  a  burden .  .  .

077. How often do they cry? Over what?

honestly , almost  never . and  it  has  nothing  to  do  with  crying  being  unmanly  or  anything  like  that , Tommy  simply  channels  his  emotions  through  more  physical , usually  violent  ways . things  that  usually  would  make  him  cry  ( disappointment , desperation , embarrassment , loneliness )  are  expressed  with  a  fist  through  the  wall  instead . it’s  highly  unhealthy  of  course , but  he  doesn’t  know  better , considering  that  he  grew  up  in  a  household  where  nobody  would  ever  know  about  his  tears  once  they’ve  dried , but  they  sure  as  shit  would  see  the  hole  in  the  wall .

Best Singles of 2018 but it’s chill this year

This category should speak for itself but I just tacked so many amendments onto the description that it’s like... it just makes no fucking sense anymore. Technically this is a list for any single that was released this year or last year December (since I write these lists in December it’s easier for songs to slip under my radar so I sometimes count them for the next year, like the Grammy’s eh? But then sometimes I let a November 30th release date slide as well... or maybe the single was released earlier but the video would qualify or just... any dumb fucking reason. FXUS63 KDMX 132208 AFDDMX AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION National Weather Service Des Moines IA 408 PM CST Fri Jan 13 2017 .SHORT TERM.../Tonight through Saturday/ Issued at 408 PM CST Fri Jan 13 2017 Overall a relatively quiet period through tonight. Initially, a weak wave/vort max will continue to work through the upper level flow this afternoon. Through the morning it struggled to produce light snow at the surface due to a relatively large dry air mass at the surface, though was able to saturate enough to result in light snow across the north. This will continue through the afternoon as it treks eastward and exits the state. Minimal accumulations can be expected. Have dropped lows a degree or two overnight in part due to temperatures today lagging behind original forecasts. While winds will be light, did not go crazy given expected continued cloud cover through the night. Have also removed nearly all POPs across the far SE as models continued the general trend of slowing down progressions with the high situated to the north. That said, while models do not show accumulating precip in current runs, soundings continue to show a mostly saturated layer below 850mb resulting in a saturated layer about 1 to 1.5km deep. While iffy for drizzle, cannot rule out at least a bit making appearances overnight across S/SE areas. .LONG TERM.../Saturday night through Friday/ Issued at 408 PM CST Fri Jan 13 2017 Main focus for the mid/long range continues to be on the storm for Sunday into Monday. Little changes noted in overall expectations. Some timing/placement differences mainly in the push of the parent low across the central US toward late Monday into Tuesday which impacts the amount of light lingering precipitation expected across the area mainly Tuesday. Otherwise still have the deep upper trough still dropping through the Baja region of Mexico and the SW US...closing off then lifting slowly northeastward through the southern plains. This will still send moisture streaming northward into the state by late Saturday into Sunday...with the overrunning scenario still expected. Very cold air in place at the onset of precipitation could lead to a brief mix of snow/sleet, however surface temps should warm enough initially Sunday for the main precip type through the day into Sunday night across central/southern Iowa to be freezing rain. Some weak instability noted far south by Sunday afternoon, so could see some enhanced precip areas. Overall main pushes of moisture and precipitation to move in Sunday night into Monday. This is when the main icing is expected to occur with temperatures remaining in the 20s to right around 30 degrees. Surface low to push out into the central plains by midday Monday with the associated warm front lifting northward toward Iowa. This will send surface temperatures warming to above freezing across much of the state through the day. Therefore we expect freezing rain to transition to all rain through the day, with some wintry mix/snow still possible in far northern areas where colder air still expected. Expect icing could still continue for awhile after temps rise above freezing due to very cold ground/road temps that have been in place. Frost depth here at the office around 18 inches, and sub-surface temps likely to remain below freezing until temps warm further Monday. Overall have around a half inch to inch of QPF expected with this system, with snow amounts of around a trace to 3 inches across northern portions of the CWA, and icing amounts from a few hundredths across northern Iowa to 0.30-0.40 inches in the far south/southwest. Details regarding thermal properties of this storm could still cause adjustments to these totals. Additionally have looked at analogs for this storm, and one of the top ones suggests a similar look to this storm as one that hit the state back in mid-December of 2007. That storm was a bit colder than this storm and likely had more of the precipitation fall as ice versus rain, than this storm will bring. However it did give a good representation of where icing/snow fell and targeted much of the same areas with the greatest icing occurring across southern/southwest IA and snow across north central and northwest Iowa. Will have to watch the push of warm air, as that will be the main detail that can change amounts the most across the watch area.
