#registeel#and now this guy is maybe a bit less interesting. from this standpoint‚ i mean. the eyes being just dots make it a little hard to like#feel *connected* to them when they're ffp'd‚ y'know? i feel like it's kind of a reductive angle. which is why i zoomed this one and the last#one out a bit. so you can see a bit of the rest of their body. it's maybe less funny but would it really have been funny to just see 7 red#dots on a gray background and have to read the tag to know it's registeel? i dunno. maybe. maybe it would've been. but i like this more#maybe the explanation is that i'm taking these pictures myself. i personally know all these pokémon and have to ask them if i have permissio#n to take these pictures of them. but registeel said i couldn't get too close. so we settled with this. hehe yeah that's why :) hehe :)#anyway. you now have the aegis cave theme stuck in your head#hi it's me from the present. saturday morning. in yesterday's queued post i came up with the idea of maybe doing a monotype run of a pokémon#game. i don't know which one yet but i wanted to do water-type. but i was like. maybe i'll liveblog it on my main blog. yesterday#and today i came back and saw those tags as i was queuing up today's 'mons and i was like… hell maybe i could stream it if enough folks are#interested. but if anyone is then i didn't want to wait that long for the queue to get to that post bc that's gonna post on like. august 18#and class for my last semester of college Ever starts back up on august 21st and i don't. know if i want to start another pokémon playthroug#h that close to classes starting. especially not one where at least one (1) individual out there might be waiting for it So i put 'em here#they'll still be on that post but. they're here. just in case someone out there is chronically bored enough that that's something they'd be#interested in. y'never know there's a lot of folks here#anyway i will now queue up kricketot. see you then… or i guess see you whenever if you like send in an ask or a message or smth…

I write something like this every year. In all honesty it's hard for me to talk about Chester. I think about him every single day. It's now been six years without him, and it still doesn't feel real that he's gone. I still don't know how to cope with it. I still can't think about him for too long without crying.
Chester has been such an important figure in my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised on Linkin Park. They will forever be one of my favorite bands even if some songs are too painful to listen to now. My own mental health journey has been difficult. I'd be lying if I claimed to be doing totally fine, but I live each day trying to honor Chester's memory and make him proud. He's a big part of the reason I am who I am, and he's a big part of the reason that I'm still here today.
If you see this, please give someone you love a hug. Tell them you care about them. Cherish the moments you have with the people that matter. Listen to your favorite artist and keep them in your mind for a while. Do something nice for yourself. We all owe it to ourselves to allow some kindness in our lives. In words that Chester once sang, "when life leaves us blind, love keeps us kind".

#kirby#cursed image#daily kirby#my art#digital#hal laboratory#nintendo#so.#did not have to hobble to the leasing office - they called me first thing in the morning to send the contractor over#contractor looks for like 30 seconds and is like 'yep that thing is completely clogged with dust and a little rusted.'#'also it's 40 years old and to clean it we'd have to remove the whole thing anyway so at that point you might as well replace it.'#so they ran off to leave a proposal for the work with the leasing office#tomorrow is saturday - the leasing office will be open but I'm assuming the contractors will be off unless it's urgent#I'll go irritate them when I get up to see what route we're going with.#(I would like to replace the whole unit - even a cheap one will probably be more energy efficient)#(which helps make up for some of the energy cost)#(since the broken pos has to run all day to get even in the zip code of an acceptable temperature)#(and we're now starting day 5)#but at least my wife picked me up a bunch of snacks and some random little household stuff we'd been meaning to get since we moved#like we ran out of coat hangers#and we know what the problem is now#instead of having the poor on-site general maintenance guys just standing around looking confused#(not their fault they're not highly trained on one specialty machine!)#so like. it is technically an improvement.

Ah! I saw this going around, but I was surprised to get one! Both you and @scharfkugel both sent me this and I probably spent way too much time debating whether or not to respond to both or what but nonetheless, thanks to both of you! I love these little games
...though it also makes me very embarrassed coming from you in particular because, possibly as a result of having so many GG mutuals, from what I've seen you all have really interesting classic/alt/eclectic musical tastes and in comparison I feel like an absolute boring normie, but I'll try to think of a couple of good ones!

3. The Scientist- Coldplay (ok this is definitely a normie pick but I really like this one. It's one of the few songs I don't mind signing around other people because I can actually match the vocal range)
4. Prison Sex- Tool (fucked up as it is it's got a really good beat. I absolutely recommend the music video to anyone who hasn't seen it though I'd absolutely say to skip it if you're squeamish)
5. Push the Feeling On (MK Dub mix)- Nightcrawlers (I love stimming to this one! Nice bounce and beat. I know House can be hit or miss for some people but I love the repetition)

#update from my mom!#she's getting better#all the symptoms are going down and she's out of the ICU#the exams were good and she's moving to the infirmary tonight or tomorrow morning#the caretakers are going to be with her till she's healed and send her back to the 'clinic' she lives#i couldn't video call her today the chief nurse didn't allow any calls but it's okay#tomorrow I'll be able to call her#one of the caretakers said she was sad when the nurse didn't allow the calls as she was#expecting see my brother and i today#but she was comforted and now she's waiting for us to call her tomorrow ❤️

#so your id card is lost and also might be expired and you need an id card for the in-person university registration and the registration is#tomorrow at 1 pm. okay#i pray to god and jesus and everyone that they can give her a temporary identity card (as in a piece of paper)..#i don't know what else to do. if she doesn't obtain an id this week i guess she's not enrolling#if we don't obtain it in the morning i'll send her to the registration anyway and ask her to try to work something out with her passport#i don't know i'm stressing. plus i'm gonna flunk out next semester for sure :|#flop era#flop lives etc etc
