It's so hilarious to me that Danny just becomes a complete freak whenever he spots Wes, and I'm the one who wrote it into existence. Like- like i don't know how to explain my vision in words but like, its like Danny sees Wes and immediately goes 'what can I do to make his day worse'. And then he goes and does it.

He's relatively normal around his friends too, which makes him going full-fledged unhinged around Wes even funnier to me. Like, Danny will spout weird shit sometimes to Sam and Tucker, but usually its prefaced with him talking about patrol or there would be context before he said anything. With Wes? Though?? he will just. say anything, completely unprompted. Slings an arm around his shoulder like they've been buddies since primary school and then spits out a weird new fun fact he learned about the bodily anatomy while researching his latest cold case. All vaguely-threatening but utterly insane things to say as way to start a conversation.

And sometimes its not even that, he'll walk up to Wes and ask him if he saw the latest daytime fight between Phantom and Skulker. And then he'll say "yeah i missed it myself but I saw clips of it being posted online" and then watch Wes mentally explode him with his mind. or he'll disparage Phantom for having such a young partner with him, "Can you believe he'd let a kid fight ghosts with him? I'd never let my brother ghosthunt with me if I was Phantom."

All of this with such a deceptive look on his face but the most delighted, shit-eating gleam in his eyes. Wes is chewing glass and he wants to yell that he does let his brother fight ghosts with him. Also you told him yourself that nothing would've stopped your demonic (Wes' words) little brother from joining you.

Damian gets in on the fuckery occasionally, but since he's not around often with Wes about, it doesn't happen nearly as often as it does between Wes and Danny. Sam and Tucker know he's screwing with him too, and both of them are a little wary about him being careless with his secret id. But he's been doing this since he was 14-ish and it hasn't backfired yet. So. They're not actively stopping him.

Danny walks back to his lunch table after terrorizing Wes and Tucker just asks him what he said, because Wes was about as red as a tomato when he walked away. Danny offhandedly sighs and innocently says he tried to have a conversation about Phantom with him. Wes didn't seem to like it all that much. Weird.

And yes, yes. Wes is totally into it and is slightly enraged about this fact, because not even he knows why he's into it. The freak (affectionate). Danny gives him this troublemaker smirk, and i did say smirk, and Wes doesn't know whether or not if he wants to smack him or kiss him. Or both. Like, yeah, pine, white boy, pine.

(And this is a dramatized image but I'm also highly entertained by the idea that Wes keeps getting routine dirty looks from various peers because they, too, have a crush on Fenton. Except Fenton doesn't talk to anyone else unless its his friends and sometimes Valerie, and Weston, the guy who keeps accusing him of being the local vigilante, is somehow routinely having conversations with him?? And BLOWING IT?? Like everyone else thinks he's fumbling so bad, and yet fenton keeps tALKING to him.)

And yes!! i'm always so pleased whenever someone brings up the parallels D+D have to Dick and Damian, because that was lowkey my intention when I was making the solo clone damian au. Although it was supposed to be more implied since I don't really know much about Damian and Dick other than they're very close and Dick was Damian's Batman for a year. And then of course the very smaller parallel (??) 'what if' between Bruce and Damian and D+D in clone^2 considering who they are both clones of.

And man this just makes me want to talk about when batfam meet D+D because I just want them to see D+D be so brotherly towards each other. Like I want them to see Bby Dames wearing his goofy fun fact shirts and stealing Danny's hoodies/flannels/etc and blatantly lying about it when Danny asks. Only for Danny to then throw him over his shoulder like Tadashi from BH3 and jump around.

And also. I do not know what Damian Wayne's (DW as I'll call him) stance on being called "Dami" is - the general consensus I've seen is that its usually used as a playful nickname in order to get a rise out of him, and he doesn't really like it.

But baby Dames being called that freely, and often, and its sometimes used to get a rise out of him but thats typically what nicknames do. Its used as easily as his full name is with the same amount of affection. And its like his main go-to nickname. "Dami" and "Dames" with the occasional "Bud/Buddy", "Squirt", "Little man", etc. Not once is he ever called 'demon-spawn'

Being friends with Ricky was interesting to put it in a way. You guys met on a local cafe, well actually you bath had seen each other multiple times but didn't have the guts to start a conversation. That was until you "accidentally" crushed into him almost spilling your coffee (thank God you didn't, otherwise how would you pay for his clothes if he's young and rich haha). You apologised but Ricky took the initiative to ask for your number as a payment for almost ruining his white shirt (smart boy, yes he is).

At first you guys hanged out by yourselves but he eventually introduced you to his friend group and now you all spend time together. His friends had noticed the growing bond between you two basically witnessing all the subtle flirting and smiles you threw, leading to them having a talk with both separately.

When your friends pointed out the situation you shyly admitted your crush on him, however from Ricky's side he kept denying it by telling you were just very good friends and that he wasn't looking for a romantic relationship yet.

Your friends disappointed by the situation had encouraged you to confess your feelings towards him,but every time you were about to do it something interrupted your time to shine. Pissed and already at their limits, your group decided to do something about it without telling either of you.

On the day you were just gonna chill in the park every single person cancelled the plan except both of you. When you were chatting and just having a good time by your own presence Michael (ye you can call him however you like, I didn't know what name to use) appeared.

Now,you may be wondering who that is, so to put it simple he was a childhood friend from Ricky but with time they lost contact.

"Michael how you doing bro?" asked tha tall and handsome boy.

"Good,good just a little bit busy with exams and wow- who is that? Your girlfriend?"you paralized and so did your friends, who were watching everything from behind a tree, facepalming due to how direct he was.

"Ah no no, this is my friend y/n" he answered awkwardly.

"Oh then hi there cutie, I'm Michael"he said winking "Hi, it's a pleasure!" Oh,now your friends were intrigued,but what awoken it more was Ricky's face. His calm and composed demeanour changing to a much serious and dark one.

He couldn't believe it, they were trying to flirt with his y/n? His and only his? He was left shook as you guys held a normal conversation, but what was the last straw for your blond friend is how he had approximated and how his hands were finding their way into yours. However, Ricky had other plans. He quickly but gently grabbed your hand making you turn around: "Look that's not-" he struggled speaking,this was the most nervous you had ever seen him acting like. "Look don't get me wrong, I do like you, it's just that I didn't want to ruin whatever we both have just because I can't stay as only friends so I decided to tone it down a little bit".

You looked surprised, but not shocked, smiling gently at him and carresing the hand he still hadn't let go of saying

"You know you always make things harder for us right now right?"

"I know" he answered imitating your gesture and leaning at last to a long awaited kiss that made you levitate, it felt so magical you felt like you were floating.

As you separated you both grinned cheekily as you hugged him hiding your face on his chest and him hugging you by the waist. Your friends celebrated at last high fiving each other and thanking Michael for his collaboration because he was indeed part of their plan, but you didn't need to know that, too invested on your new lover.

You looked very confused and took some steps, moving through the people at the party, as you soon spotted Chisei, your crush, sitting with some other guys. They all were from rap teams. You could recognise Anne, Allen from BAE, or Reo from AKYR, or even Ryu from The Cat's Whiskers. They all seemed to be having fun and you got curious. 

As you got closer, Chisei chuckled and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, smiling happy. His usual energetic and friendly personality was still there as he spoke: "Y/n! Good timing! We were about to start playing 7 minutes in heaven! You wanna join us, right?". He then looked at your eyes with a puppy-like expression and pouted: "Haruomi doesn't want to play.. but you want to, right?". Your sparkling eyes got wide and you could only look around at the others, who were staring at you, waiting for your answer. You could hear Haruomi's sighs: "What a stupid game..!". 

You could only nod and smile at Chisei's cute expression. After all, you were getting bored, so a game would have helped you to have fun at that party! You sat beside Chisei as you could see Anne preparing everything for that game. They took a thing from each boy in the group (such as Reo's earring or Ryu's piercing..) and put them all in a little bag. Some rounds passed as that game went on and you were laughing hard at how awkward it seemed, especially when it was Ryu's turn to pass some time with another person in that empty and tight wardrobe. "It's your turn, sweetie!", Anne soon spoke with a cute smirk on their face, as they moved the bag close to you. You smiled at their gorgeous eyes and put your hand in that bag, grabbing something. As you moved your hand out of the bag, you realised that... you had taken Chisei's necklace! It was a golden chain necklace. The blonde rapper bursted out chuckling and patted your hair delicately. At his touch your shoulders moved up slightly in surprise. Your cheeks were already blushing hardly and you could still hear some teasing jokes by the others and Haruomi still complaining about how idiotic that game was. You agreed with him in your own mind but.. at the same time you felt excited and slightly curious about what was gonna happen.. I mean, you were going to be with your crush in a tiny wardrobe, sharing a little bit of space for seven minutes!.. Who knew what was gonna happen?!

In a blink of an eye, you were in there with Chisei. You both were sitting in the wardrobe; you were sitting with your knees on your chest while Chisei was trying his best not to fall on you. As you expected, your faces were very close to each other, as you could smell his breathing. His hands were on the wall behind your head, close to your face, as your shoulders were still slightly up maybe due to the anxiety you were feeling in that moment. As a minute passed and you both were in silence, Chisei chuckled and whispered: "S-so... hehe..", he giggled and continued: "What are we supposed to do now..?". You moved your eyes to his purple ones. Even if it was dark in there, you could still see his beatiful eyes staring into yours. It was magical. You couldn't even understand what was happening, but you felt your lips on his suddenly, your arms around his neck pulling him closer to you. Chisei gasped in surprise in the kiss, as he could feel your love hitting him strongly and suddenly. "Wh-why... what did you..?", he whispered as you pulled away. Your lips were still very close to each others', though. You moved your hands to caress his blonde hair and he moved his to caress your jaw. It was a rethorical question: he knew why you had kissed him, but he wanted to hear those words from your lips..

"I love you..", after these words, everything happened fast. Those seven minutes, which seemed to be only a little time, became a lot of time for you both, as he moved his hands caressing your skin and exploring parts of your body that you even didn't know about. You tried your best to keep your gasps and whimpers silent, but his touch was too addicting and your body was starting to move by itself. You wrapped your legs around his torso, pulling him even closer. You both didn't know what was happening.. both Chisei and you were confused and were feeling so many new feelings inside. Yet.. you both knew that you wanted to be the other's. You wanted it so bad and you wanted it in that exact moment. In the intensity of the moment you both didn't notice immediately the light going in the wardrobe. The first time Jayce experimented the third one was the first time he actually feared Viktor. Like, cold sweat, paralized, mouth dry kind of fear.

FR though, Jayce being torn between mortification and hornification is like… my bread and butter. That knee-jerk reaction of just… “oh my god!!! …. oh my god, am I into this? Oh god, I’m into this…”

And I don’t think he’ll truly experience Viktor’s anger, I’m talking fire-breathing rage, until he’s the Machine Herald. I think in the events that lead up to his exile, Viktor will still be reeling. He’ll be numb and in shock that this is happening, how could this happen, how could Jayce turn on me like this? There just won’t be room for the wrath yet, he’ll still be processing it.

And it’s a strange thing, witnessing the Machine Herald… an angry Machine Herald for the first time, because it doesn’t translate like most people’s anger would. His emotions are suppressed, so instead it reads as cold, detached, and almost inhuman. He bears down on Jayce like a runaway freight train, doesn’t slow down, doesn’t hesitate. He truly tries to hurt Jayce in that first confrontation, might even be trying to kill him. And Jayce is caught off guard, thinks surely he wouldn’t, not Viktor, not my Viktor…

But he’s not Jayce’s Viktor anymore, he’s something new and haunting, and Jayce doesn’t know what he feels anymore—it looks like anger, sounds like it… but it’s almost like Viktor feels nothing at all as he fires the Hexclaw right at Jayce.

And that’s the first time he’s truly afraid of Viktor. He’s never been before, he’s always held out hope that somewhere, deep down and buried beneath layer after layer of metal, that same soft, kind man is in there. But when the Hexclaw singes through his flesh, cauterizing as it burns; when Jayce screams in agony and stumbles back; when Viktor doesn’t react at all and just stomps closer, aiming the Claw again…

In the moment, there was only room for fear, for self-preservation. For the grief of realizing oh my god, what if my Viktor really is gone? But later on, in the privacy of his own home—bandages on his skin and on his ego—something awakens that he doesn’t quite understand. He finds that thinking about the fight, thinking of how truly dangerous Viktor was… it makes him excited. It makes him want to do it again, and he’s not sure if it’s just his bruised ego wishing for a rematch, or if it’s… something else. Something forbidden and primal, something that yearns to be stoked but can’t be spoken of in Piltover society. It consumes and confuses him, this obsession with that feeling—I was scared, so why do I want it to happen again? He could kill me as easy as breathing, why… why do I want to let him? And he knows there’s probably some psychological explanation a therapist could give him, something about wanting to be punished for his mistakes, and wanting said punishment to come from the person he hurt the most. But he doesn’t think too hard on that, after all introspection is the luxury of a younger man. Now he just tries to accept that this is the way things are now, best just try to come to terms with it.

And he does. He fabricates reasons to fight Viktor, seeks him out and antagonizes him. Because if he can’t defeat the beast within himself, he might as well feed it.

any advice how to write/draw paralized characters (from paralyzed people)? more specifically: my idea is that he got paralyzed after car incident, and he broke some cervical vertebrae (google translator said it's the word, never heard it before but like, i mean.... spine bones... but, like, in the neck... englosh hard) so he feels nothing that is lower than his chest. so, feel free to give advices, i will listen carefully! if you paralyzed, tell pls, what kind of character and what kind of details you want to see in content with him. maybe even some fun (yeah, disabled people have fun things in their lives, what a concept!) things, like then i drew Disabled!Reigen au and you guys gave me so much material for cool fun comics

So, when I get really into a new show, I like to go ahead and look up the meaning of character’s names. Often there’s not much of interest there, or the name doesn’t say a whole lot. Then, every once in a while, I come across some neat stuff, which is what happens when you look into the meaning of names for A League of Their Own characters, particularly Greta and Meg's names. 

The first very first thing I found when I started down this specific rabbit hole is that Greta means “pearl,” which honestly makes so much sense for her. A pearl is this pretty, shiny object,  but it's created when a grain of sand or food particle gets stuck inside the shell of the oyster. To protect itself from the irritant, the oyster secretes a substance that will harden around the grain of sand and eventually become the pearl. Greta is exactly like the pearl in a lot of ways, because she’s shiny and charming, but her outward appearance is very much a product of all the things she does to protect herself from getting hurt. She has this secret that she knows is dangerous, and she constantly cloaks herself in this protective layer, putting on a performance to keep herself and those around her safe. The product is pretty to look at, made to be looked at even, but it is a hard outer shell meant to protect Greta from suffering any more pain than she already has.   

In an interesting twist, Meg means “pearl” as well, because both names appear to have roots that can be linked back to the name Margaret. We know so little about Meg, Carson’s sister,  that any attempt to draw parallels requires a certain amount of speculation. If the parallel is meant to be intentional though, it would suggest that there’s something similar about Carson’s sister and Greta that we don’t explicitly see.

 One possibility is that perhaps Meg’s fixation on behaving acceptably in the eyes of those around her comes from the fact that she thinks it will offer a layer of protection from censure. That’s why she marries and has kids right away, and bakes the pie that Carson promises the woman at the train station to save face (Greta’s end of the phone conversation with Meg suggests as much). That behavior and her insistence that Carson conform is a defense mechanism, a hurtful, damaging, deeply misguided attempt to protect herself and her family from the same sort of pain that comes from their mother failing to conform when she leaves them behind. She might actually be more concerned about protecting the family than herself, as she specifically mentions their father having to answer questions, as he probably had to when their mother left. She even says she wishes their mother was around so Carson wasn’t her problem, which suggests that Meg wouldn’t be reacting in this way if their mother had never left. Is Meg simply suggesting that their mother might’ve made this call instead? Maybe, but the fact remains that Meg behaves in the way she does, calls and yells at Carson for running away because their mother isn’t around, and she feels it’s her duty to do it to maintain an acceptable image of their family. It's a misguided attempt to protect them from censure and the same pain that comes from their mother leaving. 

The natural reaction may be to say, well, Greta and Meg are nothing alike, because there are a lot of ways in which they’re not alike at all. To start, the repercussions of not performing properly are so much higher for Greta than Meg. Meg doesn’t face the threat of physical harm that Greta does, and the censure she faces is much less intense than what Greta faces if she’s discovered. The fact, however, remains that a lot of their behavior is a reaction to societal pressures to conform and an instinct to avoid pain. None of this is to say that Meg’s behavior is remotely acceptable, or that Meg could ever be as compelling and well-rounded as Greta. What we know of Meg isn’t even a little bit flattering, but I don’t think Meg has to be likable to be understood. This potential parallel  simply gives a bit more depth to Meg, makes the story as a whole a bit more interesting. It suggests that every female character, even the ones as minor and unlikeable as Meg, face some kind of societal pressure to perform in a certain way or face repercussions, and their behavior and treatment of others is often shaped by that pressure.

Again, this all involves a certain amount of conjecture, and may very well be a coincidence, but ALOTO is such a thoughtful show that I just can’t help thinking there’s a real possibility this was an entirely intentional choice. Greta’s name meaning and the Meg parallel were the most compelling ones I found, but there’s also a whole bunch of other name meanings that I’ve found that are actually perfect for the characters, which suggests to me that at least some of these character names are very intentionally chosen for their meaning, and I could definitely see more meta potential in that list. Whether the name choices are fully intentional or not, I enjoy thinking about the way that small details contribute to a story’s larger, overarching themes, and love that this show continues to offer up opportunities to do just that.

My thoughts about the first doctor-donna special that I'm currently freaking out about (/positive)

Okay, first of all, there will be spoilers for the recent(ish) special about the 14th doctor and Donna Noble. This only includes the first one because I got too excited about it so I had to take a break.

I was very skeptical about David Tennant coming back (he was my favorite doctor, but repeating faces is an interesting choice), but I had to watch this because DONNA NOBLE and I was not disappointed. First, the fact that the Doctor had David's face again was important and it sent a message to the Doctor about what had to be done. This was a meaningful thing that actually effected the situation, so I actually like the choice now. It's also really funny how The Doctor did like absolutely nothing to pretend like he wasn't The Doctor (other than not say his name) like seriously he looked into Donna's eyes and talked about the sonic screwdriver. Dude. Also, the Doctor's new face is because he can't move forward right now and needs to take a step back and get some closure. Like he doesn't usually get that chance, but now with his new face he can fix things and get closure both for himself and Donna (and maybe hang out with the Nobles??? also I'm so excited to see Wilfred again!!!!!). The conversation with Donna trying to convince The Doctor to hang out also highlighted key differences between some of The Doctors, because 11 would never be able to do that. 11 was antsy and could barely stay in place in the box episode. 12 and 10 could probably do it, but I don't think they'd love it that much and they'd probably get a little antsy too. But the 14th seems more interested in his people than the adventure (???) like I don't know much about him yet, but there was this one line about how 14 was more willing to express that he loved people and I think that's kinda what he's going to be all about. He's The Doctor that wants to get closure with those he loves. He gets that from 10 I think because ten had the whole scene where he was saying goodbye to Everyone even the people he shouldn't say goodbye to. Omg this is a long paragraph. Sorry!!

Also, I'm so happy to see Donna again!!! I love her so much!! She is relentless in a good way and absolutely would not stop questioning people about what the fuck was going on until she had an answer and I love her for it. She definitely Noticed that things were weird based on how people were acting pretty early on and she's so wonderful. Also, when she was talking about how she was fired because she spilled coffee on a computer my immediate thought was that there were some dangerous things in that computer and she did it on purpose. And then she immediately "spilled" coffee on Sexy's console (definitely on purpose!!!! <3333) and I love her so much!!!!! (Could you tell I love Donna Noble??)

Also, Shirley (the UNIT scientific Adviser who's name was mentioned once)!!!!! I absolutely love her line about whether there are life forms on the spaceship: "But we don't know what kind of life we're looking for." LIKE OMG!!!! Recognizing that alien life might not be classified as "life" by our current deffinitions!!!! Because we don't know everything about the universe!! and we also might not be able to detect everything OMGGGG!! Also the bit where she finds the doctor and has a conversation with him is wonderful. Absolutely love it. (ALSO HAVING SOMEONE IN A WHEELCHARE WHO ISN"T COMPLETELY PARALIZED IS COOL BECAUSE YOU LIKE NEVER GET THAT IN TV) "What for?" "I don't know" "oh" lmaooo silly exchange right there. Also it's cool that she gets a specialized wheelchair with weapons. Also, the fact that she's disabled isn't ignored. Like it actually effects the plot. Cuz if she had been able to climb those stairs she would have been mind controlled too and that would have messed things up. And the fact that the situation wasn't accessible was mentioned and not like talked around. Like she was still seen as a full human, not just despite her disability, but including it. Ya know?

Also, Sexy (the TARDIS) is gorgeous!!!! Like she's so pretty. Her circle-ey platforms and sleek look and the dots that change colors!!!!!! I love her. Lovely.

Also, it's so funny that The Doctor sneaked into the area with the space ship when he could have just walked right in because he's The Doctor.

Her story below

Once upon a time on some postapocaliptic fantasy world a wanderer found a little child with wings. These wings were covered with skin like in bats but they were pale as the rest of the body and the child looked very cute and innocent so he called her Angel and took care of her. Winged girl grew up, raised among only wingless people, never even knowing if there was anybody else like her. All that she learned about winged people was what she once saw in the pictures of the old church: angels were having wings with white feathers while dark bat-like wings indicated a demon. Her caregiver reasured her that the artist obviously had never seen a real angel and so it must be a colour of the wings that distinct angel from demon, not feathers.

One day she have noticed that her wings start to turn black, get dark spots and she was terrified that she'd turn into a demon. For how could she ever know it was a normal sign of a adolescence in ppl like her? All her life long she was taught to hide her wings, but now she was trying harder than ever to prove she's good, "normal" girl as it was expected from her, though she was longing for long travels and she loved climbing trees. But even though she suffered and supressed everything her heart desired, her wings continued to become black and she was feeling more and more like a failure to her caregiver (but never was brave enough to confess the truth to him).

And then, when one day her father-figure got caught and imprisoned, she decided to go and safe him. She took the sword that he discouraged her to use. She did not stop wearing dress nor she cut her long hair - because it would feel as if she waited for him to disappear only to do so - so she only tied her dress closer the the body and braided her hair so that nothing would limit her moves. All in all - that's when she started to learn how to act on her own and to live the life on her own rules. And her weird outfit together with broad dark wings were just enough to make most of her enemies paralized with shock and confusion.

Yesterday I was talking to this friend of mine. Let's call him Aloo and he's a guy. So I posted a story about this book from those booktok videos (at this point you all know I do read a lot of romances that must also have good spicy stuff too)

Now that was a little shocking to him. Anyways he asked to send the spicy parts as screenshots to him so he could send it to his gf. I did that too and then we were joking about these books and Somehow our convo progressed further when he told me I need to get all the sex/makeout/cuddles because I am pretty 'vanilla' and I don't really think much about sex and stuff related to it

Sometimes I think if it's weird that i am not all that interested in the sexual part much or maybe is it because all the time i see couples irl especially from my school indulge only in sex and making out. I rarely see some who have meaningful and loving connections with their partners.

Plus I am not in my 20s or that old to give much thought to it. I enjoy talking to my boyfriend, learn so many things about his subjects and other stuff from him, share things with him and just be with him for whatever little time i get to be around him. I don't know why at this age teens give a lot of stress to having sex or making out.

He was like. Yaar meko terese zyada uss bande ke liye bula raha hai. No action nothing for him. (After he got to know that this year it will be two years of us but without meeting eaching other outside)

I told him that for now my priorities are different. I have a college I need to get, a job to earn and support my house and me myself. All of this will go on parallely. He was telling me 'bhai meet each other this year bhai uss bande ko khush rakho'

I love being in this relationship but I cannot go around and immerse myself in dates every week and go out. Aloo can and he does that too. I am in his close friends list so almost every week or 2 he goes out snd meets his girlfriend. But I can't do all that not even when I get into a college. We would still be living in different cities and I really want to excel in studies and get a good job. My brother will have to join a private college which dad can pay but for that he cannot buy a new car for some years. My mother never buys sarees from dad's money. She got all her sarees either from her marriage or when she worked as a teacher for some years and never after that. Yesterday after my brother's jee outcome I saw the look on my parents.How on earth will I think about my next dream date or keeping him 'physically' happy by having sex with him???

I have so many Thoughts about paraani (got into it through the anime and am now working through the dramas) because like yeah. from what I've heard the dramas are crazy different. but I think it's ok. I was talking about it earlier and yeah paraani giveth and paraani taketh away

total side tangent but I can't write a long ask about my media adaptations without bringing it up you can ignore: I used to be a "why is it not like the originals" guy. and then I wound up in a fandom where the crazy different absolutely bungled adaptation was the preferred version (at least by the people I knew hi guys) and I didn't want to be a hater so I thought about it

and what I realized was that adaptations. are adaptations.

but it's different it's always going to be different. the question is only how different it's going to be

and what I think is upsetting a lot of people about paraani (and for good reason it makes sense I would be way less forgiving if I wasn't new here) is that the voice dramas and anime are trying to tell two different versions of the same story

can't say much for the dramas right now (I've only listened to live and a bit of love) but I think I understand the anime at least a little now that it's over. paraani was supposed to be about cozmez and kanata's self isolation and that whole subplot. and they did make it about that (it's clearer in retrospect) and in my unprofessional opinion they did a solid okay at that

your mileage may vary on how appealing that is to you as a paralive adaptation. I can totally understand being upset that it was less of an ensemble thing (and they should have given akyr a solo episode if they were going to do that for everyone else cmon)

but personally? for me as just a humble little guy? paraani was great I had a lot of fun with it and I'm glad it wasn't a 1:1 adaptation. net positive for the amount of cool paralive art in the world. and if I want to see the version in the dramas I can just listen to those (and I am!)

my biggest gripe is them dropping alive nayuta with no explanation for people who hadn't listened to the dramas (which I assume is the target audience considering how much they pissed drama listeners off?) so if they don't get a season two that's going to narratively suck

i literally have nothing to add you're ABSOLUTELY right. they're adaptations for a reason. things that work in one format won't work in another (i.e: you can't show facial expressions in the audio dramas, and you can't make illusions for the stage shows) so you have to find work arounds. i totally agree that akyr should've been given an episode, and also there should've been a more even spread of songs over the show. BAE has three performances & are in LAST VERSE but cozmez are only in one??? (Also they totally should've animated Buraikan is Back as the ending song to ep. 11). I have a few gripes with the show, but I have gripes with the audio dramas and stuff as well. because that's how humans intake media. you're always gonna dislike bits of things and you're always going to like one version of something over the other. but it doesn't mean that there aren't any good things to be found in the other version.

436,606, wow! Honestly didn't expect it to be that high. Doesn't feel like I've really written many long fics

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Written for a few. Now mainly Doctor Who (8), used to be primarily WWE (11). I have also written a Last of Us/Doctor Who crossover series, so I've also written 3 fics for TLOU. I've also written a fic for She-Ra before. Also because I'm unoriginal, got a few more fandoms on my Ao3 dashboard which were just AUs featuring WWE characters set in a different universe, including Diablo II (1), Starcraft (1), Days Gone (1)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

I'm Here (But You Can't See Me), I Don't Belong Right Here, You Only Feel My Ghost, You Put The Devil In Me, It's Getting Harder to Stay Awake and My Strength is Fading Fast

Wow, those fic titles sound depressing put together like that, lol. All except one of them are song lyrics tbf. Also, not the fics I would have guessed to be my top 5.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

YES, absolutely! I feel like it's a virtual crime deserving of internet jail to not respond to comments.

I kid, but I seriously love interacting with people who took the time to not only read but comment on my writing. Honestly, it's the least I can do to thank them. And honestly, it's one of my biggest pet peeves on Ao3 when I see that an author doesn't respond to comments. Just comes across to me that they don't care, so why bother leaving a comment?

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

To me, "angst" and "ending" don't belong in the same sentence. I feel like all endings should be happy, to make it a satisfying conclusion. I know I've read fics before that have ended on an angsty note, and felt disappointed in that. So I could never write an angsty ending.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Honestly, I can't say for sure which is the happiest. I feel like the epilogue chapter I wrote for A Hero'll Save Me (Just in Time) is packed full of fluff and ends on a highly optimistic note, but I always knew I'd be making more content in that universe, so it doesn't feel like an ending to me. Other possible answers include It's Getting Harder to Stay Awake and My Strength is Fading Fast, but due to that fic's focus on depression, maybe that nullifies the ending's happy note?

So those two aside, I might have to give it to either I'm Here (But You Can't See Me) or You Only Feel my Ghost.

8. Do you get hate on any fics?

Readers are usually pretty cool, I like the whole "say something nice or don't say anything" vibe that Ao3 has. Not much, but I have had some negative comments. One which compared my "cheap" writing to a gloryhole (super weird comparison). And then I had someone leave multiple comments on a fic which were both positive and rudely critical, criticising my creative decisions in an already finished fic (while explaining where they felt I should have chosen the setting of my fic to be) and really nitpicking odd little details of little to no consequence. That one was just super weird to me, trying to dictate every little thing about my own fic, as if it belonged to them too.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No, I don't think writing smut will ever be for me, I'd just feel too self-conscious about how other people would react to it. I have written some brief allusions to before/after smut, but nothing that goes into enough detail to classify as smut.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Oh, absolutely! When I first started writing fics, most of them were crossovers, lol. I just love putting characters in different universes. As previously mentioned, I wrote a TLOU/Doctor Who crossover series, where the Doctor arrived on a parallel universe Earth. That was fun, but also seems credible. I've also written the Four Horsewomen in the universes of Starcraft, Diablo, and Days Gone. But given I wrote them as natural denizens of those universes, didn't really seem too crazy to me. Maybe Days Gone might be the craziest though, it's been a blast writing Biker Sasha Banks killing zombies and surviving so well post-apocalypse.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I hope not, lol. But I guess if I did find out one of my fics were stolen, I'd be simultaneously pissed, but also sorta proud that somebody felt my fic was worth being stolen?

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not that I know of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! I've currently got A Hero'll Save Me (Just in Time) Season 2 in the works, co-writing with the brilliant @literaturelocker

But also, although it's currently on hiatus, I have been co-writing Why We Keep Going with another friend of mine (who I don't believe is on Tumblr)

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Honestly, it's a toss-up between Thasmin (Thirteenth Doctor/Yaz) and Baysha (Bayley/Sasha). Bayley and Sasha are so cute together, both on-screen (I hope not for the last time!) and off-screen. And for Thirteen/Yaz, both characters are amazing and so loveable. There was so much potential never fully realised on-screen, that makes for a magnificent array of fics, both fix-its and AUs. Not to mention how close the two actors are, which always helps me get invested.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Honestly, Why We Keep Going. There's so much plot we plan to cover, and writing has unfortunately come to a complete stop for several months now, beyond my control. Maybe one day we'll be able to finish it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Me? Strengths? LOL

All kidding aside, I find it so hard to think of anything I'd say is my strength. But for the purpose of this, I'll really try to.

I think I'd say that a strength of mine is writing for characters/canon which I'm fond of. I always strive to do them justice. A Hero'll Save Me (Just in Time) for instance, I felt worked so well because it combined two of my biggest interests (Four Horsewomen and Doctor Who), so I was really invested and passionate in making that the greatest fic I'd ever written.

And then for the second fic in my TLOU/Doctor Who series, Not Broken Beyond Repair, half of that was adapting the Jackson Dance cutscene from TLOU 2, which I can say I'm honestly still super proud of. The amount of times I watched and rewatched every single second of that cutscene to make sure I got down every single detail though...

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Oh, so many! But I'll keep this short, lol

I definitely feel like I struggle with dialogue, always too simplistic and I never know what to make the characters say other than what is needed to move the plot along. I also feel like I reuse dialogue from canon far too much, so it feels like less of a homage, and more lazy. I just can't help it.

And then action as well, I don't think I'm too good that that either. Similarly to dialogue, I think I'm quite limited in my descriptions.

I also think that as a writer, I'm not really all that creative. I feel like too many of my fics are based on a pre-established story, as opposed to being clever and creative enough to come up with something brand new.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue language in fic?

...am I stupid? I genuinely don't understand what this question means?

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Doctor Who! Years before I discovered Ao3, I wrote a one-off adventure featuring the Twelfth Doctor bumping into Amy Pond. I published on FanFiction.net and a couple of Doctor Who fanfic sites I found though googling. I've since uploaded it to Ao3.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Oh, easily by far A Hero'll Save Me (Just in Time). That fic will always be my baby, the one I put the most work and love into. I was really determined to make the most of that one, and I think it'll always be the fic I'm proudest of. And now, 2 sequels currently being written (and quite far along) to further expand the universe, yay!

This was fun and introspective to say the least, always find it interesting to share my thoughts with anybody who decided to follow me.

I'm going to just come right out and say it -- I wasn't feeling Sims 5 since we first heard about it.

I round it up to a couple of things...

1. I always don't like a new version of The Sims since Sims 3. I throw so much shade even as I'm loading up the game and actually playing it.

2. Once I heard something about gaming online I was literally like NO. I don't want anybody in my game (is that still a thing? I don't even know).

3. I really don't want to leave my characters behind or recreate them. I know a lot of people did that when they switched from Sims 3 to Sims 4, but I'm just sitting here wondering how long would it take and would I even bother. I didn't write stories or did heavy gameplay the way I do now with previous versions of the game so there was nothing to really re-create.

...

But now, there are talks of the game being mobile as well as available on PC -- with in-app purchases and I'm just like... William better find me a little spot in his house because I'm sticking with Sims 4. I don't care if he has me watering his damn plants into infinity and beyond! I'ma do it! 😂

I don't know if the fact I'm also getting older has something to do with it or maybe the way I play the game. The reality of how much money is spent on The Sims... Since like 23 fucking years ago for me and some others. 😂

It's like the thought of waiting around for CC and buying into another game makes me just get very t...i...r...e...d 🥱

As I've said I throw shade to newer versions of the game because I simply do not like change. I know it had to happen, but it doesn't mean I'm going to like it.

Thankfully I've ended up liking all of the Sims versions for different reasons, but I honestly feel like this is where the buck will stop.

I don't know 🤷🏽‍♀️ -- I really don't, but there has been something in my gut telling me something since day one of Sims 5 and I'm wondering how ill react to it whenever it gets here.

I'm not throwing shade to EA though. Like I'm not gonna leave Sims and go to Paralives or something. I'm far too loyal for that and again -- I don't do well with change. 😂
