Frostpaw realized that she had never received any real visions, therefore meaning that her "vision" of Curlfeather was most likely fake as well. There are plenty of actual things that Curlfeather did that were bad, but this is not one of them. Please criticize for things she actually did

"Curlfeather never cared about Frostpaw at all". You can be emotionally abusive toward someone and still care about them. They are not mutually exclusive.

"Curlfeather only wanted power!" Yes, she did want power, but she also believed it was a righteous cause. (and she was actually partially correct. Mistystar WAS a bad leader. StarClan IS corrupt and incompetent.)

Remember when people were thinking she murdered her mate before the Wind excerpt came out because they only saw her as a "evil woman" with no depth.

If you actually want to see someone she manipulated and never cared about, look at Splashtail. She picked him out as an apprentice and then groomed him from a young age so he would help her rise to power and would kill Reedwhisker for her. She also threatened to turn on him which ended up being one of the reasons he ends up killing her. (It was also the effect of him becoming more radicalized than her, spelling out her own demise.)

She is an absolutely fascinating character. Please do not reduce her to "heartless woman who is pure evil". Recognizing morally complex characters =/= excusing their actions

Cass: think early on in accepting that she’s a human being she’d psychoanalyze the fuck outta herself to see where she fits in and be super super super pressed about the entire thing to a detrimental point but as she progresses she’ll be fine. Duke: I think he knew he was not straight since he was young (moonlight opened his eyes and broke his heart) but he never really questioned his sexuality at all. The problem is that he doesn’t question it because the idea of gender roles (girls do this. Boys do that.) is so engrained in his mind that it’s not even something he thinks can be changed, if that makes sense? Anyways I don’t think he’s the type to get dysphoria he moreso experiences euphoria when exploring his gender identity. I think he would realize he has different views on his own gender when he sees other people expressing their own differently. Like genuinely he goes to school and sees another boy wearing lipstick and his brain blows up. As of this very moment he’s “exploring” but he’s actually a lil scared to genuinely confront himself about this and uses “there’s bigger problems in the world” to get out of it. End goal is non-binary but for now he’s at the veeeeeeery tail end of questioning.

Damian: I think at the moment Damian’s just not thinking about any of that but it’s in the opposite of duke; he knows he’s probably some kind of queer, both in sexuality and gender, but it’s just. Not top priority for him at the moment. I wanna bring up clothes rq bc, extra hc time, in MY mind Damian does express himself a lot through his clothing and getting to the manor made him a bit shy when it came to skirts and dresses. Seeing the way boys, and especially black and brown boys, who explore their femininity are treated, he just doesn’t mention it at all and the scenario never comes up. He gets more comfortable as time goes on though and later on gets bold enough to wear a dress to an event. He’s stonefaced but slightly regretting it till some younger kid sees him and is awe stricken, like stars in his eyes and asking if he can do that too. Damian feels better about it and resolves to wear whatever he wants more often. I don’t think he ever comes out in big big way (he’d tell the people closest to him but everyone else can just figure it out) but he genuinely doesn’t feel the need to label himself at all.

Wallace - lowkey I think he'd have a similar deck to Ryoga and Rio, tho I'm leaning more on Rio's deck bc it fits his vibes so his ace would be Ice Princess Zereort or Number 94: Crystalzero

Cynthia - I want her ace to be Draco Berserker of Tenyi idk it fits the vibes bc it's like Garchomp, really strong but one Ice Beam would probs kill it lmfao

Iris - okay I know she'd have a full Dragon deck I just know it and her ace would be Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. And ofc she's gonna be the main charac here and what yugioh mc hasn't gone through their bastardization arc amirite so she's also gonna have Number 62: Galaxy Eyes Prime Photon Dragon

Diantha - look w the pendant she has I want her to use Pendulum summoning okay she would, I want her to have both Abyss Actor and Solfachord decks, I picture her using Solfachord when out in public bc I see her as someone who'd be a dueltainer, and her ace in her Solfachord deck is ofc DoSolfachord Coolia. In her Abyss Actor deck she'd have Abyss Actor Superstar as her ace, and I picture her using this deck out of the public eye or maybe under a persona bc ofc, no one would expect the elegant shining actress of Kalos to use fiend type monsters, but she loves her Abyss Actors y'know, they're theatre kids like her lmfaooo

Hau - lowkey I see him having the Yosenju deck,, or like,, the Destiny Hero deck, but also the Elemental Hero deck fits him too. But I'm kinda leaning more on the Destiny Heroes one bc that deck plays heavily around the graveyard, and smth smth connection to Decidueye being a Ghost type and all that. Plus it'd be interesting ofc since like the Destiny Heroes deck are said to be based on vigilantes/anti heroes, and it'd be dope to see that while Hau is like, this really carefree guy, he has this side that's like, if you fuck around you're really gonna find out y'know what I'm saying hahah but yeah his ace is Destiny HERO Plasma and like, as a treat he'd also get Destiny HERO Dominance

Leon - okay this one I legit see him having the Odd Eyes deck, he'd also Pendulum summon, I want him and Dia to be dueltainers but Leon's really more on the entertaining side while Dia's there fucking everyone up w her Abyss Actors. It'd be dope too if he snaps he'd summon out Odd Eyes Raging Dragon, but yeah, his ace would be Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Tho, normal Odd Eyes and then Odd Eyes Advance also low-key fits his vibes

Geeta - okay Geeta I'd wanna give her the Six Samurai deck, mainly bc of Kingambit,,, and yeah hahah it'd be dope ig bc apparently there wasn't much?? i guess I appreciate them as ship but i'm having a hard time getting quite on board with it just bc i'm really tired of the trope (idk if it's a trope but I see it frequently) of character A is a total asshole to character B consistently and then like... apologizes once (or not at all) and then B just forgives them immediately and it's fine. like idk i don't like ships where one character is mean to the other, it feels like there's an imbalance there. yeah pj apologized but i lowkey felt like hazel was too quick to forgive her and hazel deserves someone who doesn't make fun of her and is not mean to her 24/7 and who actually shows their appreciation of her and love for her and doesn't make her feel bad about herself, not just someone who enjoys kissing her yknow???

A Movie Marathon

A/N: This fic isn't "set" during or around an episode but based purely off of a Shining joke Hodgins makes in season 2. (During that episode that reminds me of The Blair Witch Project) ---

The killer jumped onto the screen, catching the woman off guard who screamed as the axe dug into her side—a loud squelch sound followed by a spray of blood. Elias squeaked, jumping in the seat next to Hodgins who seemed into it. 

Elias, on the other hand, had his face pressed to Hodgins' neck, eyes closed tightly. This was… the 6th horror movie? And he was getting jumpier as time went on. This was also not the first time he'd grabbed Hodgins or hidden against him.

Hodgins laughed and told Elias he was squeezing him. Elias opened an eye and leaned away. "No, I wasn't!" He looked back at the screen to see the woman dead on the floor.

"Right."

Hodgins had insisted Elias stay the night. It was late and dark, and he definitely didn't want to ride home alone. Not that he would've voiced that now. Despite Elias consistently saying he'd sleep on the couch, Hodgins wouldn't let him. Elias eventually gave up.

Hodgins even gave him a shirt to sleep in. Elias didn't say it out loud but it was comforting after the barrage of horror movies. It was well-worn, and smelt like Hodgins. It was a tad big on him, and Elias debeated a few moments before opting to sleep in the shirt and his boxers. That wasn't weird, right?

Hodgins' room felt quiet now, as the two men lay separately. Too quiet for after all the horror movies they had watched. Scenes played back in Elias' head and he took a deep breath, rolling around.

Eventually, he pulled the covers up to his chin and curled up, burying his face into the pillow. He started to drift off when a loud clunk shocked his nerves. He stopped breathing as Hodgins jumped up. At that, Elias instinctively went to reach for his knife. His hand touched the bed frame, and nothing more. 

"Fuck!!" Hodgins yelled, cringing as he rubbed his knee. 

"What…?" Elias tried to feign he had been asleep. "Eveythin' okay Hodge?" 

"Yeah I think it was just--" the noise started again and Hodgins' eyes scanned the dark room. "It's my minifridge. Dumb thing does this all the time. Go back to sleep, baby." 

"O-okay…" Elias swallowed. He felt vulnerable. 

"Actually? Do you mind if I get into bed? The couch isn't as comfy as it normally is." Hodgins was not going to admit he felt on edge. 

"Oh. Not at all," Elias blinked in his direction, as Hodgins climbed in.

"I'll make sure to stay away. Leave enough room to not encroach on your manly space." Elias snickered.

"Hodgepodge," he cooed, "I've shared a bed with another man. You're fine." 

Hodgins let out a small breathy laugh as he wiggled, getting comfortable. Elias still felt on edge. Hodgins' house was so big. And dark. He was used to darkness but it felt so much scarier right now.

Unintentionally or not, Elias started to wiggle closer to Hodgins, who seemed to be asleep already. Elias stopped a few inches from him, closing his eyes. 

He stayed awake for a few minutes, listening to the steady rhythm of breaths from Hodgins. He let it lull him to sleep.

By the time Hodgins began to stretch out, starfishing, Elias was fast asleep curled up small. Hodgins was also asleep, unconsciously taking up more room on the bed.

Hodgins was the first awake, blinking away his drowsiness and the tail end of some weird dream. He started to stretch, going to move as he suddenly stopped. 

Elias was still asleep, mouth open slightly, still curled as well. He looked cute, Hodgins thought. He then noticed Elias was laying on him. His head on Hodgins' arm, back to his side. 

Hodgins smiled, just watching Elias sleep. This was great. He was doing great! His crush in his bed, asleep, on him? Hodgins stayed as still as he could. 

He could have easily pushed Elias off or moved his arm. But he didn't want to. Right now, Hodgins wanted to stay in his bed. Everything else could wait. God knows when he'd get this again.
