So I've jokingly called this "Smg3- I shrunk our friends-" (obviously a reference to a movie I've never watched but see referenced a lot)

Basically, the cast except Smg4, Smg3 and somehow Mario get poofed back to when they were kids

Obviously some of them are gonna have to be speculation cause they never actually were kids, like Saiko

The big horned mew hovered in the air, gazing down at Vector with undisguised judgement. "Just what are you supposed ta be? Mew? Mewtwo? Some Meowth's hairball? You look like what you'd get if someone threw an algae-choked fishtank and moldy bread into a blender! Hah!" He did a lazy little roll in the air, sneering down at Vector. An eager, evil dare in his eyes for them to retaliate.

The strange creature hunched over watching the horned other with expression and body language that clearly read as pure terror and uncertainty her eyes glued to the floating individual as he loomed over her sneering and mocking.

However when he didn't strike nor more too quickly her ear like horns straightened slowly no longer back in fright turning if anything to inquisitiveness as she shifted her body slowly though still watching him to crouch using one hand to stabilise herself as her head slowly tilted to one side.

She blinked slowly in a manner that indicated she may not have even understood what he had been saying, or was choosing to not acknowledge it her tail moving and swaying lifting to rest on the top of her head two of the spikes sticking up while the third morphed back into the jelly like substance of her tail as she curiously mimicked his horns, at least the best she could.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery or so they say, though it could've been read otherwise. Foolishly perhaps, she seemed a bit fascinated by him now as her tail fell back down to resting on the floor, she lifted her body just enough from her crouch to curiously tap at one of his hooves as though seeing if it was real and not just a unique shaped paw, idly grabbing one of the points between her digits making little curious chirps and cooes in her throat.

(april 25 2024) a mock-up cover design for a hypothetical graphic novel featuring the characters from these two posts (1, 2) that I posted back in January! Vivamus Moriendum Est is Latin for “let us live, since we must die” :3 more info and rambling under the cut!!<3

So I call this hypothetical because I would LOVE to make it an actual comic/graphic novel one day, I just don’t know if I’m really up for that yet :0 plus the whole story is still in the works, the plot is still a vague concept to me rn

but anyways VME is set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world where people have to create survival groups or fend for themselves to survive. Society collapsed ten years ago when one of the three moons fell from the sky and smashed into the earth like a meteor, destroying a large swathe of civilization, buildings, and people. With society pretty much gone, everyone is left to fend for themselves, and food water and shelter become treasured resources, which causes lots of fighting between prominent survival groups.

some people try their hand at being alone, however, like the main character of VME named Pok (pronounced like “poke”, they/them, pictures center in the lineup in the mock-up cover above). The world after the moon crash is all they know—they mysteriously have no memories from before ten years ago, but it doesn’t bother them too much. They have a safe comforting routine staying out of danger and staying to themselves in the midst of this chaotic world. That is, until they meet Cora (she/her, left in the lineup) a twelve year old girl trying desperately to survive, and Wallace (he/him, right) a 20 year old guy apart of a small survival group on a mission to find his sister who disappeared when the moon crashed.

There’s some more I have figured out about the story but it would be spoilers so that’s all you get >:3c I was really happy with how the mock-up turned out, so even though I’m unsure if this story with amount to a larger project I’ll be working on in the future, I still wanted to show it off >w< tysm for reading!!<33

Some Thermal Shock stuffs

First time I’ve doodled the lad in a while, some slight changes but I’m still fond of his design.

I also made some NES mock-ups for fun because I suddenly thought “what if a Thermal Shock game was like Mega Man, but your bullets freeze enemies like the Ice/Freeze ability in Kirby’s Adventure? What if you could then kick them around?” and high school-me crawled from the shadows and possessed me for an hour or two to make these images. That’s about all I can contribute to a game, though, I’ve still got a comic to draw!!

Oh we had a very different view of Kwannons relationship with Laura 😭 I always saw it as Kwannon taking a more of a motherly/mentor role

WHAT. I mean to be fair it was one of the first x-men series I had read in a while so I was going in with basically blank slates for the characters. Skimming back through it, I can totally see how it probably was meant to be more of a mothering role.

When I first read it, I thought it was like the beginnings of a strong platonic team up, but it kept having all those cutaways to scenic talks in paradise and about how they're alike and see themselves reflected in eachother. So my thinking went "okay comics mostly do this when it's leading up to a romantic relationship, so that's what they're probably doing here". Probably didn't help in the confusion that the flashback scenes that would parallel Laura had both "your romantic love killed" and "your motherly love killed" aspects.

In terms of mentorship — I always saw it as them teaching eachother. Like Kwannon had the explicitly stated position of being a leader and teaching how to control emotions, but I saw it in exchange for Laura teaching her how to be on a team.

Anyway, my favourite interpretation is of them being close friends & equal partners-in-crime-fighting-that-is-mostly-kinda-just-doing-crime and I wish we got to see more of them together
