Still cannot believe warrior nun writers went full 'omg they were roommates and there is only one bed' coffeeshop bar au fanfic with avatrice absolutely zero fucks given. Like. The OCS is a top-secret organization that's literally funded by the catholic church, mother superion has the freaking pope on her speed dial, they have the artillery of a small army, secret codes, military-grade tech and weapons, presumably enough money at their disposal to travel the world should the need arise, etc. And then avatrice is like. scrubbing bar floors and sharing a dingy studio apartment in Switzerland to "keep a low profile" or whatever. We don't even know how they got there. It doesn't even matter. s1 ended on a pretty intense cliffhanger with all of our characters in a sticky situation. Whatever, we're skipping ALL of that. "I bet you want to know what happened. Yeah, idk, I'm still figuring it out myself" – fade to black and cut to 2 months time jump with no explanation whatsoever. Ava is mixing cocktails and Beatrice is her boss. They're in love but they're also idiots. Zero exposition, zero fucks, just fanfic and vibes.

the thing is that it's so important to me that the drakes did love their son and wanted nothing but the best for him so i am feral over the ways they loved him and were proud of him and wanted the best for him

but also i am equally invested in tim's feelings of abandonment caused by their failures, his loneliness, the fact that he never really felt like he had a home growing up due the frequent apartment changes & and boarding schools, the melancholy he had from them always leaving him behind, the fact that jack's first impulse with tim whenever tim is in trouble is to send him away for his own good yet again and the trauma that would cause...

I'm forever going to be conflicted about how good Jason looks in his new fit compared to his utrh outfit, because my heart and head are settled on the utrh look, but my monkey brain sees the mask and the biceps and the forearms and swoons a little.

It is important to me for narrative contrasting purposes that Jason's costume be a very "just some guy" look because of how he foils Batman's character. He is not so much about the symbol that instills fear or crafting a persona, but cares only about pragmatically achieving a goal.

Batman's whole thing is of course needlessly elaborate and weird if one disregards or forgets the stated purpose of him being a symbol that instills fear in Gotham criminals. Seeing as Jason is thoroughly disillusioned with the superficiality of vigilantism, it makes sense to me that he would not care to cultivate an iconic look or a symbol. The only thing he cares about is what he gets done, the actual lives he helps improve and save in the moment.

So, no matter how visually appealing a redesign of Jason's costume is, my heart is set on my "just a guy" Jason look.

Was thinking about heartbeats in g/t last night

-Smaller creatures usually have a faster resting bpm than something big. I mean, compare an elephant and a mouse. Imagine a giant hearing a tinys heartbeat the first time and being unnerved by how faster it is than theirs

-a tiny feeling a giants thunderous heart. Its all encompassing, like a vibrating metronome. Its scary, but the tiny is used to everything being loud and scary

-A tiny laying on their giants chest, or the crook of their neck. Just resting, maybe sleeping peacefully. And the giant has to try not bursting into tears because they can feel their tinies heartbeat and its so slow and calm, and they can feel their rhythmic breathing and they can't believe theres teensy little organs keeping their tiny alive. Its just too sweet

-A giant gets hurt in someway, and the tiny has to crawl around their chest or neck to find a pulse

-vice versa, a tiny is hurt and the giant has to be oh so gentle finding a pulse. They have to press and focus to actually feel anything, but not too hard or they'll crush them

like. as much as i desperately want qcellbit to go full fcell on the federation's asses... i feel like that might not happen, and i won't be disappointed if it doesn't!! qcellbit has made great strides as a person since prison. he's changed so much. he's told richarlyson about his past and richas still wasn't afraid of him. he's been emphasizing that he is trying to stay in control for the safety of everyone else. he cares about the other islanders so so much and he doesn't want to put them in danger by letting himself go like that. if he does go off the rails, i can only see that ending in regret and self hatred. i think he'll dip his toes into destruction, like he did tonight, joining the others in griefing the place, but he won't fly off the handle by himself and start wildly killing people. i do want him to kill cucurucho, but like. imagine if he doesn't. imagine if he has a sword at cucurucho's neck, and instead he takes a deep breath, steps back, and lets someone else like forever or baghera take the kill. thematically that would make so much sense for his character.

but also I WANT HIM TO BITE THAT FUCKING BEAR'S HEAD OFF SO BADLY
