I finally did it

Working on the halflife 2 source code Took a while a lot of strange errors but I got it to compile and run. Made crossbow bolts dissolve. This is only the beginning!!!

@sourceengine @opaiescents yea i didnt want to post it until i got around to making an alyx caramelldansen to go along with him but then a year+ somehow passed. remind me on the weekend when i have free time so i can make an executive decision as to whether or not i want to spend my day doing animation or just post solo gordon and then play pokemon instead

Canals. Half-Life 2 singleplayer map. Released in 2012. 

My entry for the “DoorVille” map competition held at PlanetPhillip (RunThinkShootLive). The rules were: To unlock a door in Half-Life 2 and create a unique experience around that. I unlocked a door found early on in the game. 

Instead of jumping into the water directly, you progress on walkway to the other side for some action on a industrial rooftop parking lot space.

anyway, uh, got any half life blogs you recommend? i don't like to search the tags bcuz tumblr is ass and also i was around when there was some nasty spam being dropped in popular tags so i'm a bit wary

OK sorry it took so long! I mostly follow a lot of artists, but a lot of the stuff I really like comes from people who don't do HL stuff regularly. But for more consistent stuff, zevsuit, narklos, undeaddoc, caramujotan, jpivot/pivsketch are amazing 2d artists, and sepko1 and sourceengine do really great SFM work. crack-barrel and angels-heap are also just nice mutuals.
