In which Dream slightly misjudges the mortal tolerance for faeish mead.

Dream had not thought to bring goblets, to go with the mead. He had assumed—apparently incorrectly—that Hob Gadling would own some sort of respectable drinking vessels, which he would bring out when respectable beverages were on offer. Dream had not expected jewels or gold plating, aware that such fineries were generally reserved for royalty, but at least something… ceramic. Perhaps pewter. 

Instead, his mother’s mead will be drunk from wood. 

Carved wood, which vibrates gently with stories of long winter nights, and Hob’s strong, callused hands working at the grain over and over by the firelight. Runed wood, engraved with strange symbols that Dream cannot read and do not sing any stories at all. But still wood, basest of materials. 

His mother would not like this. 

But then, Dream supposes, there is not much about this entire venture that his mother would like, so the wooden vessels are a small concession in the span of a great many problems. 

Regardless, the rough grain of the cup is pleasing upon his tongue, and the mead is bright enough that one can almost ignore the faint aftertaste of… lumber.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WILARDO ADLER FROM WITCH’S HEART!!!

I’m gonna ramble… don’t mind me. He is a character that means a lot to me and I really wanted to make a pretty drawing for his birthday. This took me maybe over a week to finish? I lost track of time doing this and so I kinda can’t remember how long it took for me to make this. The blue flowers resemble Claire, the purple flowers resemble Sirius, and the red flowers resemble himself. I gave him a flower crown too and I tried to make it look like his hair, necklace, etc was blowing in the wind.

Wilardo has honestly been my favorite character in Witch’s Heart since day 1 and I remember immediately thinking I would like his character as soon as he first appeared. Yeah, he seemed cold, but like I still figured I would adore this man annnnd…. Over a year passed, and I’ve continued to adore his character. I love his stoic and blunt personality that masks his soft heart and caring side. I always found his character development to be very meaningful as he started off more distrustful and indecisive with his decision making to slowly warm up to other characters by the end of the game (at least by the end of Sirius’ conclusion). On top of everything, I relate to him a lot so I often feel comforted knowing that he is a character that is pretty similar to me. Anyways, I think that’s all I’ve got to say about Wilardo…

I wanted to show my cap but two people so far have told me part of it looks like a hate symbol and I can’t hear that again lol even though that hate symbol was stolen from another culture that I took inspiration from so the hate symbol isn’t even the original and the original comes from a pretty nice place
