My favourite underrated thing about Louis de Point du Lac is that he truly is the least curious vampire to ever be made and he does not give fuck about vampires despite being one.

Its Claudia who goes to libraries, reads the folklore, tries to learn as much as she can and pushes Lestat for answers about who made him and where the others are. Claudia says Vampire Pride and Louis says hmmm Vampire Tolerance.

And Louis...truly does not care about vampire history,law, culture. He's never even thought to ask. There are vampire laws?...ok...Lestat never cared about them and he's not going to either, lol. He's broken a few and he will continue to do so. Oh you have a coven? he's not gonna join it, he's gonna do his own thing. but good for you good for you.

the 500+ year old Coven Leader, he's gonna call Louis, Maitre, actually.

He has fire powers? thats kinda cool. he'll learn that but only cause it lets him vent his feelings about Lestat.

Lestat and Armand say the name of the vampire queen in front of him and Lestat straight up says, "Louis has no idea who that is" and do you think Louis cares, outside of the fact that for some reason it means he can't kill Lestat? No! Do you think in the 77 years he's been with Armand he ever took 5 minutes to ask a follow up question? No!

Do you think he will care about Akasha in season 3? Doubt it! Outside of her obsession with Lestat, who is the only person left on the planet he seems to be able to filter Caring About This Shit through

He blatantly breaks the 3rd law and publishes a book about being a vampire and when the other vampires get pissed not only does he not apologise he literally sends them his location and says 'you wanna fight? lmao don't miss'

I love him. Daniel Molloy is gonna need to bring his A game because Louis will not be solving a single mystery next season, nor would it even occur to him to try.

because in TKC most Eyes match the gender of the god they host (and just in general in-universe it seems most immortals and hosts in possession/possession-like scenarios are the same gender) this implies that the two outliers we know of - Zia (rejected hosting a goddess but was able to host a god instead) and Percy (Eye of Nekhbet) - may be trans. so uh happy pride to Zia and Percy specifically

Real Rashid being a double agent is actually the least surprising reveal of season 2 like if they really said: "this man's bosses gave him a week off so that one of them could larp as a servant while using rashids name and dressing in rashids clothes (but sluttier) exclusively to fuck with a Random Journalist who came for an interview" and then followed that up with rashid acting like everything was chill cool and normal until credits I'd be ringing the cinemasins bell like quasimodo no regular person would stick around after that shit it Could Not make sense unless he had an ulterior motive

can't stop thinking that out of the main 4 in tkc, zia is probably the only one that doesn't know other pantheons exist. like, sadie and carter have met with percy and annabeth, they're up to speed, there's no way anubis doesn't know that other gods exist which means walt also knows, and that leaves zia hanging in the unknown.

like, just imagine they all meet with a demigod for an unknown reason and the demigod's like "yeah, greek gods exist too, i'm a child of theirs", the kanes are like "yeah, we know", walt just nods in approvement and zia's on the side going "wait WHAT??"

even better if she goes like "WHY do other pantheons exist, the egyptians were on earth the longest-" and blah blah blah and then the demigod just goes "why not. the egyptian history exists, why not the greek, or roman, or even norse for that matter" and she just stands there. and absorbs that. and finds logic in it but doesn't agree with it because she's grown up with the egyptian pantheon her whole life, iskandar raised her for gods' sake, she just not built to expand her worldview to that extent.

thinking about how IWTV loves to play with the theme of master and servant. thinking especially about that “yes, maître” and how armand’s first appearance onscreen, for almost the entire duration of s1, is in the role of louis’s “rashid.” thinking about how, when I first watched s1, it jarred me a little to see the authoritative, almost imperious way louis spoke to “rashid,” even after having endured to lestat’s tyranny himself, not to mention the tyranny of white people. it jarred me even more to realize that that had actually been armand—the ostensible love of his life—taking louis’s orders, bowing his head, saying things like, “I serve a god.” was that a strange and uncomfortable performance for the ancient leader of the paris coven? or was it perfectly natural for someone whose past means he defaults to the role of the subordinate, the submissive, the servant? is the relationship between the master louis and the servant rashid in fact the truest, rawest representation of the core dynamic between louis and armand?

I love Armand specifically for the way he uses his iPad to control the smart home features of his Dubai coffin bedroom and effortlessly negotiates the upkeep of his and Louis' online existence but also calls it "electronic mail". like I need a 3k fanfic from the point of view of the tech nerd he hired to come to the tower and patiently teach him how to use his tablet over the space of three weeks, and the way said tech nerd watched him try to touch the screen and the fact that it didn't work until he paused and did something and then it was fine, and not finding out until he was two NDAs deep that what Armand was doing was making sure his fingertips had blood circulating in them, and now he's the ludicrously well paid on call IT technician for the pair of them and sometimes gets calls at 4AM asking him why Drag Race All Stars isn't appearing on their Netflix account and what he can do to fix it

I absolutely love Carter and Zia’s relationship but I also find it hilarious.

Like Rick paired up the guy who was homeschooled and always traveled, who doesn’t have any friends, with the girl who was raised by an organization, isolated from the people her age, and also has no friends.

The only reason either of them know what the words “social interaction” means is because they both probably read the dictionary.

Their form of flirting is being nerds, being sincere, being cute, and stuttering(Carter),

I firmly believe one of them will state a fact and the other will just add on it and it will keep going until Sadie tells them to stop flirting.

And their reaction will be “what?” and then blushing because they didn’t realize they were flirting.

It confuses basically everyone else at the Brooklyn House.
