his eyes widen just a bit, mind going into overdrive to conjure up the memories you just tapped into. his back against plush pillows, your lips on his neck, his chest, his hipbone. the shuddering breath he takes when he thinks he knows where you’re headed, just for you to diverge and bypass the target. your fingers pressing into the flesh of one thigh, while your kisses travel further down the sensitive inside of the other. the mischievous glint in your narrowed eyes before you sink your teeth into his skin, pleasure and pain tying in a race all the way to his very nerve endings, the arch of his back, the whimper that eludes him. your tongue gently soothing the sting, a stark contrast to the menace of a smile that spans across your lips right after, revealing how badly you wanna hear him make that sound again.

he is snapped out of it with another kiss, eyes refocusing and locking with yours again.

Figured Kaltenecker was giving you trouble.” He meets Lance’s eyes and grins, dark eyes mischievous and sparkling, and Lance is seriously going to walk off a bridge because who authorized that, who, who approved the combination of big dark eyes and a crooked grin and a face that promises it’s been around. Huh. The fuck’s up with that. “Figured I could help.”

Lance manages to find a shred of dignity within himself and steps slightly away from the black paladin. “That’s great, Noble Kent, but last I checked you couldn’t drag an 800 pound heifer either, so.”

Keith nods. “‘Course not. Brought Kosmo. Here, boy.”

The wolf poofs to existence at Keith’s side, barking excitedly. He bounds up to Lance first, expecting his usual barrage of kisses and head scratches, which he gets, then gets all shy as he walks over to his crush. Kaltenecker looks over at him and no lie rolls her eyes, looking away again.

Kosmo, however, is undeterred, barking happily before blipping them both out of existence.

“She is never gonna love you, dude,” Keith says, shaking his head.

Lance snorts, taking Keith’s offered hand and heading down Red’s ramp (finally). “Wouldn’t it be weirder if she did? I think we’d have to break them up. Like, ethically.”

hi hello!!!! Sorry I didn’t answer this for a week, I got sick and then got depressed. It seems to have left for a minute so here we go!!! :D

I’m not real knowledgeable when it comes to specific non-replicas, I haven’t seen Warsaw yet, I know that’s one of the main ones, and a lot of the cool looking ones don’t have boots or any sort of recordings 💔💔💔

But, one of the non-reps that’s never going to leave me alone is Thunerseespiele 2017. Not only is it a German production, using the Vienna translation which is my favorite, but the costumes are SO gorgeous. The wigs make them look like raggedy Ann dolls, and I’ll never get over it.

I refuse to believe that there’s NO recording of the show, because they have plenty of high quality clips for a trailer, and it just doesn’t seem right that someone would make something this cool and then just. Not record it.

Victoria is a standout costume. She looks so gorgeous, I’m so unbelievably jealous that I don’t look like this. Honorable mentions to Thunerseespiele Bombalurina, Grizabella, and Sillabub

As for favorite productions in general, I have a whole playlist of my favorites, and it’s really hard to choose a favorite, but just in terms of translation, German productions just hit really, really hard for some reason. Maybe it’s because I can kind of understand it, but mostly I just think the language fits really well. My best examples are Tecklenburg’s ‘Macavity,’ and ‘Auftritt Grizabella’ on Spotify.

Yes absolutely!!!!

Pearl first, she isn’t in this au as much as gem but she’s still close friends with the other employees. Her favorite activity while she waits for new visitors is watching people, paying close attention to who comes and goes. This helps her get along well with returning visitors, but also means she’s the first one to notice that as time goes on bdubs seems to get slightly worse for wear. Pearl also spends her time working on fun painted fliers and signs for outside the aquarium and leads groups on a walk to the shore nearby in the summer. She really enjoys the aquarium, even if she’s not the most knowledgeable about the fish. She has a neutral opinion on the leviathan (etho) since she’s never seen it. Her favorite exhibit is the moon jelly tank, honestly i didn’t even realize the moon connection until right now but that’s perfect. She also gets along really well with everyone there, and rlly doesn’t understand why everyone gives doc a hard time. Once, when a customer was being a dick to her, doc physically threw the man out of the building. When she found out bdubs was also an artist, the too bonded immediately. Pearl and gem are very close, gem constantly coming over to lovingly pester her at any opportunity. The two met at work, but like many people in this story they realized they had a few mutual friends (grian being one of them).

Gem LOVES her job, during her free time she’s either with pearl or wandering around saying hi to all the creatures. Her personal favorites are the bigger fish, like the nurse sharks, guitarfish, and giant isopod but she also adores the spotted garden eels and cuddle fish. Since she’s the general vet, she’s a lot more up close and personal with the fish and has secretly named most of them. It’s also her job to organize and prepare the diets for many of the animals. Gem instantly gets along rlly well with bdubs as well, and is the one who gives him his first tour of the aquarium. Although her and doc get along fine, she isn’t allowed to help with tours because she kept threatening to fight people. Like I said before, she has an interest in the bigger fish, and thinks the leviathan is really really cool, but is still wary of him. Gem and grian spend a lot of time together as well, and she’ll gladly join in on any shenanigans he’s up to whenever there’s a lull in customers. She’s also very fond of who she refers to as dad, impulse, but usually only sees him during lunch when the two catch up.

as soon as matty finds out you're pregnant, he is treating you like you're made of glass. if you want absolutely anything, he's getting it for you.

"matty. I can get my own cup of tea!! the baby is only the size of a pea right now, I am still allowed to do things, " you say as matty takes the kettle out of your hand and ushers you back to the sofa.

"Ah ah ah. they might be the size of a pea, but they're our pea, and you need to relax and keep them safe. just sit and let me take care of you both sweetheart, it's my job as dad anyway"

I think that you get pretty bad morning sickness the first trimester, and matty fucking hates it. he always sits with you, rubs your back and holds your hair. he makes you herbal tea to try and settle your stomach but nothing works. its just something that happens, but he can't help but feel so awful for you, and kind of guilty it's his baby causing all the sickness.

I imagine he talks to the bump about it after one particularly bad morning, "Hey, little pea, can you please stop making your mum so sick? she's just trying to keep you growing, and it's very difficult when she can't keep anything down. " You laugh at him and stroke his hair.

"matty I don't think they get to choose if I'm sick or not" you giggle as he rests his head next to your bump and continues to try and convince your baby to stop making you sick.

if you have a craving, he's getting it. the first few months all you wanted was crackers, they were all you could stomach so you just ate them endlessly. within a week of you telling matty, he had organised a massive shipment to be delivered to the house, "so you can always have something to eat my love"

you're definitely right with being exhausted in those first few months too, working with kids all day is already tiring - let alone when you're growing a baby at the same time.

I can see you getting home and immediately passing out on the sofa, just fucking knackered 24/7. matty catches on soon enough and starts setting up blankets and pillows for you. basically creating a cocoon for you to rest in.

the fact that he can't follow you around all the time and make sure you're okay is killing him, so he'll do whatever he can.

so if he can't wrap you in cotton wool for 9 months, he'll just wrap you in blankets when you need a nap instead.

he sleeps with you when you ask, spooning you and holding your bump. even when there isn't really a bump yet.

"matty, why are you holding my stomach?" You groggily ask as he lies behind you.

"I wanna hold them!" he defends, rubbing his hands over your non-existent bump.

"There's nothing there yet. They are barely a baby at this point," you say with a smile on your face. his love for this baby was the only thing getting you through these early months, obviously you were over the moon to be pregnant but fucking hell it was hard.

"they're still in there. They've got to get to know their dad early"

Annie also joins you for a nap sometimes. She is normally full of energy after school, but every once in a while, she comes home with heavy eyes and is clearly exhausted.

Annie sees you lie down and comes up to the sofa, gently patting your shoulder to get your attention.

you open your eyes and softly smile at her, "You okay, sweet girl?" You say with a yawn, Annie rubs at her eyes with closed fists and nods slowly.

"Can I cuddle with you y/n? I don't have a baby in my tummy, but I'm really sleepy too, " Annie says shyly, fiddling with the corner of the blanket matty had draped over you.

you pull back the blanket and shuffle back on the sofa, patting the spot in front of you and saying, "Of course angel, jump up and cuddle with me. it would make me feel so much better"

Annie grins and slides into the spot you created for her, and you wrap her up in your arms, tossing the blanket over the two of you.

quickly, you both fall asleep. Soft snores from Annie caught mattys attention as he came in from the kitchen.

walking in and seeing you and annie curled up together, and knowing you were also pregnant was something he would never forget. this was his dream for so many years, and it's finally real and happening. the years of delusions had paid off. his little family was growing, and saying he was giddy was an understatement.

his daughter was always the most important thing in his life, and now he has 3 people that he would die for.

he never thought he'd get a chance at this again. he thought that once he decided to be a dad, that was it for him. no more grand romances, no more falling in love. it was just him and annie, and he was okay with that.

but when he met you, it all changed. he used to dream of you just talking to him, giving him any sort of attention. he could have never imagined that one day you would be dating him, pregnant with his child and be completely in love with his daughter.

he takes a photo of you and sets it as his background, and it stays that way until 9 months later. it finally changed when he snaps the first picture of the 3 of you in the hospital bed, with Annie's new baby brother in her arms and you watching over them with a soft smile on your face.

PLS what is the story/lore behind the tim insomnia art piece (w/ him holding the bloody batarang) the angst looks SO GOOD

ngl it's been a while so my memory of the concept behind insomnia is spotty, but for more artsy pieces like this it's less about the lore or specific situation and more about the visuals/feeling to me? so it's more that i have a scene come to me and i build that out (<- me trying to explain that i dont have elaborate lore lol)

so the context i came up with to justify the scene is tim being overwhelmed/semi-dissociating, caught up in the problems he's been running from as tim drake using robin an escape, unable to deal with them, and trying not to think about the fact that half of those problems are caused by the fact that he's robin, that he has a secret identity, and that he's going through it in ways he can't explain to people not in the know -> hence, tim clutching the batarang both as something to ground him and as something that's hurting him

i had also recently read silverwhittlingknife's post about tim as a watcher, especially when he's first introduced—the set of panels where tim is just a set of eyes definitely informed some of this ("some" being the panel with the giant eyes lol) (pls read swk's meta their stuff is always so cool)

i think? i also pulled the aesthetic of the bloody batarang from an old scrapped piece i never posted bc i didnt like how it turned out (it's like. from when i first started drawing tim) so some of that is there

this was like. one of my first attempts at more comic-style dramatic lighting and yeah damn i've come a long way. again! i dont know what's happening here, i just wanted to draw tim bleeding, clutching a batarang, and under some dramatic lighting

(this is also. beyond what you asked but: i think this shows how much my design for tim has changed since my initial conception of him--he had much straighter/longer features that have really softened up, which i think you can see most in the nose. and no moles!)

New Mexico walked through the dark hallways of the Statehouse. Like everything in the shared areas of the Statehouse, the darkness was the result of compromises not working and one side (those who preferred complete darkness to sleep) winning and the other side having to get used to it or invest in an adult night light. New Mexico wished that he and the others, on the light on in the hallway team had won. In the dark, everything about him became obvious; he walked with his finger pointed out as the green light that it emitted led the way. His whole body glowed a dulled light green as if he was a kitschy Halloween skull from 1997.

He arrived at the kitchen and found that it was already glowing. Nevada was there, his body not fully glowing but the green light stronger where it did glow- his arms, his legs, a mushroom cloud sketched onto his face like a 2012 Marina and the Diamonds groupie. "Hey, want some water?" Nevada held up his official glass, the palm of his hand causing an illuminating effect. It was beautiful, if you didn't think about the cost it took to achieve it.

"Orale, don't you know that can cause an explosion to happen even quicker?" New Mexico grabbed his glass from the cabinet and took the water pitcher from Nevada and poured.

"Oh no, definitely haven't been there done that." Nevada rolled his eyes as New Mexico and him burst out laughing, mouths wide open revealing glowing green tongues and perfectly laminated veneers.

ANOTHER STARKID MUSICAL. this one is just…… soooo good and funny and also . tragic. one of the characters reminds me a lot of toji :’3 former veteran w a dead wife…. who struggles to show his son how much he cares…… and the theme of capitalism and money and how it corrupts ppl also feels in line w toji’s character!! but above all else this musical is abt. Family. and that’s more toji than anything!!! :((( this is another musical that i rlly recommend checking out, it’s set in the same universe as the guy who didn’t like musicals but like . an alternate timeline. it’s not my favorite in the series but the songs slap and it made me cry so <3333 yeah.

was lowkey considering six the musical for my beloved nobara (bc of the gorgeous women and catchy fun songs) but . i think heathers fits her more!!!! i just feel like she’d ADORE it…… i know she’s singing along at the top of her lungs too LMAO especially to dead girl walking <3333 it’s just such a fun badass musical and i think she’d be obsessed. she does NOT like jd tho god bless 🙏🙏

hiii. im told we send you music pretty often? so. here's the two songs we've had on repeat recently:

Man In The Box - Alice In Chains. I found this one yesterday admittedly but it's been a favourite of a few other sysmates for a while tbh. I really like how the chorus is sung and the guitar all throughout, it scratches the brain real nice.

Hearing Damage - Thom Yorke. Mal really enjoys this one, says it also scratches her brain just right what with the computery synth noises and all. It's another one of those songs I can see relating to our... Whatever the fuck we've got going on. "You can do no harm in my eyes" is a really good lyric that a lot of us relate to.

Man In The Box - oOOH YES, the guitar is fumking EXCELLENT, very grungy and cool!! slow, but in the way where it makes the melody feel very deliberate :0 sounds like it'd play in the background of a slow-motion action montage hgkh the call and response kind of vibe from the chorus is great, "FEEEE-EE-EE-EED MY EYES~!! (can you sew them shut~?)"

Hearing Damage - ooh the electronic static buzzing is so cool, i also like the synth noises :0!! feels like floating in an empty indoor pool after dark, the way it reverberates and echoes. i like the mellow, melodic quality to the lyrics, nods nods, i understand what you mean! <22 twirls yall!! <2
