Medic - I believe that Medic is a very chaotic music lover. He has a background of classical in some way, with his fascination for it in the game and it’s bled outward into loving loud booms and the thrill of it speeding up.

So maybe some early forms of rock? Especially if it’s Peggy Peter’s. He sings like shit though.

Heavy - I’m not going to lie, this immediately came to me. Heavy loves pop. Heavy loves a bouncy little jig that he can play while cleaning Sasha. He probably got it from his sisters. I also believe that he has a very strong sense of political beliefs about his country so pop that has a message.

Definitely Edita Piekha. 100%. Lovely vocals from the gods. A little rattling, but He is a perfect bass.

Scout - HE WOULD LOVE CHUCK BERRY. That man hums ‘My Ding-a-ling’ as he showers. Absolutely.

He has Sex Bomb tattooed, but I’m sure his favorite Tom Jones song is actually It’s Not Unusual. He screeches when he sings instead of singing higher.

Demo - I see him being into much older songs for his age (he’s like nearly 30) just because of the way his mother raised him. I think he’s got an older soul than he thinks. So 1940’s swing and soul. Strong believer that he has more than a few albums that he cherishes, but most of them are from his mom.

He cries every time he puts it on though, just to let the feelings out. When he’s drunk, he sings terribly, when he’s sober? Probably still a little bad but he doesn’t know his range and doesn’t care if he’s tone deaf.

Pyro - I have personal ideas about Pyro that makes me think he is a huge Jimi Hendrix fan. I refuse to explain or elaborate as I will be here all day.

All Along the Watchtower. He bounces whenever it’s played.

Sniper - Jazz. I know it’s an easy answer, but it’s also THE RIGHT ONE. I think he’s very much a “nod his head and listen” type of music lover as a posed to “can’t stop moving” sort of guy.

He also probably prefers wordless music, for focus, and lyrics in music when he’s alone. (He is dancing in his room when no one’s around.)

Soldier - FUCKING HATES THE BEATLES. I’m almost tempted to say the only thing he listens to is music about WAR. But he’s probably into punk music. But I’m sure he fucks up and listens to anti war songs instead of actual war songs. So he’s accidentally listening to ‘hippie music’. No one has the will to explain it to him.

His favorite song is probably Gene Stridel - What do you win when you win a war. But only when he’s more self aware, more aware of his situation. It comes and goes. Soldier refuses to sing the song, ever. But it’s close to his heart, even if he sometimes doesn’t know why.

Spy - secretly a hippie. Definitely into Yé-yé, a type of french-ized version of British pop/exotica (like THE BEATLES.) He shows Soldier his music taste and it sends him into a rage. I think he takes pleasure in it.

Especially Baroque Yé-yé. Very Spy feely. Also Scout’s mom has probably shown him some Josephine Baker, and he likes it. Sings in a snooty little voice but it sounds pleasant enough. He thinks he’s the best singer in the team. (it’s heavy)

Engineer - GOD, you’re so right. Johnny Cash is the most fitting for him. I feel like he’s definitely a music sharer and taker. He carries songs from the people who he loves around with him. I think his mom loves Tammy Wynette and it’s crossed over to him.

Rip, you stupid fuck, you would have loved Poor Man’s Poison. He probably does that thing where they end off words in country with like a howl, instead of just ending the sentence.

would make a detailed headcanon of 'why' she can't laugh or blush either. she can smile but not laugh, and a slight increase in the surface temperature of her face can be felt when she's 'supposed' to blush yet you won't see anything which wouldn't make you realize if she's blushing or not, but gosh it's too grotesque to ever explain.

and both are due to the modifications made on her to turn her into a killing machine.

i'm considering to add this to our rps. not the explanations themselves--- just these small traits of hers. can't blush and can't laugh. there might be other manners to show others something makes her happy (which is truly different from 'just laugh'), or she finds something funny. these things are still cooking and i can't wait to write something about it in the future.

Oh, but it makes me blush, that your first introduction to My Immortal Soul was Mentors AU! This AU is kinda of my selfish indulgence AU (like most AUs are lol), but it makes me happy you liked it enough to check out the rest of my stuff! Thank you. 🤗❤️

There are actually a few fics that I sorta planned out for this AU. 😌😌 There are around 2-3 stand alone one-shot ideas in the same universe, loosely following Chase and Norisugi's relationship. One of them is about some students following them on their 'date' outing! 😁 Basically a fun 'Randy and Xiaolin Monks + some others spying on their teachers' idea, haha. ;) The other ideas are addressing both of their pasts and how it affects their current relationship with each other.

No idea when I'll write those out, tho! I'm in a bit of writing block right now sadly. 😴 😭 But I will gladly share some headcanons/backstories for some characters, since you asked so nicely! ❤️

Wuya & Dashi - they are both Professors in the same University, with Wuya teaching Business Analytics and Dashi being a Workshop Instructor (specifically Restoration and Preservation of Artifacts Workshop which would explain his connection with Chase, since they are both in Archeology/History business of sort) and as I hinted in the fic: they have a past relationship with each other! Their current relationship status is complicated, but they have separated and gotten back together on multiple occasions. They often behave like mortal enemies on campus (mostly from Wuya who behaves like she despises Dashi at times), so a lot of students are often confused if they are fighting or flirting, considering Dashi's non-confrontational and cheery/flirty personality. Amongst their mutual friends (like Chase), they just behave like an old gossipy married couple, haha.

Jack Spicer - Jack is a student at the Uni, an undergraduate in Business department and a Teaching Assistant to Prof. Wuya, but its actually not by his own choice! Since Jack is a genius in many aspects, Uni is pretty easy for him and originally he planned to fast track through fields that are of interest to him, like engineering and connected fields, but his parents interfered. His father said that the only way Jack can pursue his own interest in engineering is to also get a degree in business first (for the sake of family business), and since he had connection in Uni and with Wuya, he ensured that Jack did not slack off and that Wuya kept an eye on him. Ironically enough, through Wuya, Jack met Dashi and through his workshop he burnt a lot of his engineering/creative energy, which made him interested in artifact restoration and archaeology and all the tech that is involved in it. In a way, Dashi became his mentor, along with Wuya. (Yes, sue me but i like my little pseudo family. ;) ) Also! With his new interest in Archaeology, he discovered Chase Young and became a fan of him, because he is like a real life Indiana Jones but cooler and more handsome, lol. Because of that he really wants to become Chase's TA, but because of his father's and Wuya's agreement, it won't happen. Aside from that, Chase also never wanted any assistants.

NinjaNomicon - Nomi became an orphan around their late teens, but through sheer determination and will, they reached great heights in their academic pursuits. So much so, that they managed to send themselves overseas from Japan to study in a good University. However after arriving, they felt a bit overwhelmed, which caused some discontent in their life, as they tried to find some direction. After first year of Uni, they realized that they had trouble feeling passionate about subjects and choosing their majors and classes. One of the Professors, Norisugi, noticed their struggle and suggested a Mentor/Mentee programme, and his own help. Their shared land of origin and Norisugi's understanding of Nomi's struggles really helped Nomi find their course and balance and allowed the two of them to become very close, to the point that after finishing Undergraduate courses, Nomi asked if they could become Norisugi's TA, while they finished their Master's degree.

Hannibal Roy Bean - one of the fic ideas i had was actually related to Chase's past and how Roy was involved with it. So, since I don't want to spoil the (very) possible future fic, I will just say that Hannibal Roy Bean? Definitely not a good person in this universe. But he held a position of authority/mentorship in Chase's past, and they had a relationship that soured, thanks to the fact that Roy is an evil bastard, lol.

Sorcerer & Sorceress - like with Roy, both of them were part of Norisugi's past, though it is much less fleshed out in what capacity. But I can say for certain that whatever their relationship with Norisugi was, and their actions, caused him to leave his family back in Japan and move all alone to America, to where his best friend Plop Plop was. So it's safe to say, that they were not great people either. ;) (Why, yes, I have a little bit of angsty ideas for my boys' pasts lol).

He gets on well with freight trucks anyway, so you were sort of hanging around for a while getting sweet on each other before one of you made a move.

His favourite thing to do is to take you on journeys and sightseeing tours, just the two of you! Give him a kiss when nobody’s watching and he whistles so loud it’s heard for miles 😌

Greaseball is kinda snobbish at first about who she’s seen with, and freight trucks are more clunky than the usual coaches she’s been with before…

But when she realises she’s fallen for you she makes sure you’re always behind her when she’s on the rails, and if anyone says anything about you then she’s spoiling for a fight!

Loves to show off how strong she is by pulling you & other freighters around. Anything that has you complementing her about how good she looks.

Dinah loooves someone with muscles, and freight trucks have to be pretty strong to carry all that stuff around with them!

Flex for her and she’ll burst into giggles. Give her a smooch on the cheek after and she’ll practically collapse.

Lorelei: she's timid and as a bit of anxiety issues, she has a garden at home and TONS of fake plants in her bedroom, though she prefers real plants because "they're cuter" her favorite subject is history and she secretly loves singing in private though is wayyy too scared to sing infront of others.

Fern: she's incredibly clumsy and is often known by others as being "unlucky" which while is humorous to others can get on her nerves at times. She accidentally bites her chapStick, her hair gets messy, she trips and falls on her face often, etc. she's quiet smart and a bit chatty, if she could get someone to listen for her for a half hour straight oh oh she would.

Pippin: also nicknamed as "bug" for his tendency to spook others by the fact that he easily sneaks up on others and makes them jump, he tends to unintentionally be creepy. He's very pessimistic and the few things that bring him joy are basketball, running, and mostly athletic related activities. He's rough on the outside but if you get to know him he's got a bit of a soft spot.

Dreadlock: he's a very chill guy, he never raises his voice and likes swimming, graffiti, and helps his dad at his woodshop. Alot of girls at his school crush on him but he's too oblivious to acknowledge that, he's got better things to focus on than romance or dating.

Karin: she's extroverted, a bit wild and very reckless, she's boy crazy and tends to focus too much on them instead of her studies. She loves fashion, dancing, and has been doing gymnastics since she was 7.

Thomas: studies extensively, worries heavily about future college plans, growing up he often got taunted by being compared to "Thomas the tank engine" (😭) he tends to ramble to himself, he has a older brother that he idolizes and often tries to be like him.

i love mashing my interests together in my fists and im learning a new process today so here's what types of welding i think the bridge team (+some extras) from tng would do/enjoy

🩶picard does not care for welding, NEEEEXT (but if he did he would enjoy acetylene welding)(because he was born old) i think he should give it a shot anyways bc chipping the slag off a stick weld feels very much like archaeology.

❤️rikers dad made him weld i bet. mig. i don't think he liked it either but he was probably fine at it. like if he had to mig something together it wouldnt fall apart. immediately.

🧡geordi welds for surely, and he's good as fuck at it. mig, tig, arc, and beyond. HOWEVER, he seems like the type to prefer more advanced methods like stir welding and EBW. anything requiring some level of interfacing through a machine rather than stinger to steel. when i write fic i headcanon that since its the future there's cool new ✨futuristic✨ post-advent-of-space-travel welding methods that involve cold welding, and i think he'd like that, too. he is an engineer, after all, and there's overlap between these fields.

💛data would be fantastic at any kind of welding as long as he's studied up on it first, but i don't think he'd find any value in it beyond its function. you wouldn't find him on weld forums ogling any crisp weaves. the only reason he'd find a personal interest in it would be because his friends like it.

🤍tasha welds most definitely, and i think she's pretty good at it. her knowledge starts at mig, thru flux core and ends at arc -- i can't imagine the colony she came from had much use for tig or any of the more advanced methods. to her, i bet welding is just a useful repair skill everyone should know at least a little about, like sewing.

🤎worf has never tried welding but i think he would love arc welding. pipe. in the late summer. for nine hours. it's a real test of strength you can pride yourself on if you don't sweat yourself to death in your leathers. need to know what a klingon welding hood would look like. GET THIS GUY ON A PIPELINE NOW!!!!!

🩵iiiiiii think deanna would be really good at tig if she applied herself but i don't think she'd like welding at all. i don't think she'd like the smells, sounds, wearing the ppe, any of it. the fumes probably give her a headache. and that is ok 🙏

💙beverly can mig weld, i bet. it's neither here nor there for her, just something she can do in a pinch. it comes in handy when you're helping out around a colony, but as a doctor, she finds she's plenty of help without it anyways.

🩷i feel like wesley can hella tig weld. i think he's in the boat with geordi where they don't really care for the 'dirtier' types but overall he's more into the technical bits of engineering rather than the fabrication end of it. honestly, i think more than anything he'd be really into soldering. but anyways, tig welding is hard and impressive and he should be VERY PROUD of himself 🫶✨

Random Markiplier ego headcanons: Relationships edition (platonic, familial, romantic!) 🩷

Bing, Derby (Cool Patrol Leader), and Marc (E-Boy) are all friends- they’re the shades boys and do dumb shit like make tiktoks of Bing trying to pull Derby on his skates while skateboarding down a street-

Derby and Bop (MarkiplierTV) are Yancy’s younger brothers. They all have the same dad but different moms, and are thick as thieves with each other. Part of Yancy’s incarceration was protecting his brothers from his mother. The younger two visit him on third Sundays 🥺

Google Blue is assigned the task of working with the Engineer to keep the man busy now that he doesn’t have a ship to take care of, leading to the Engineer to grow affectionate over the android as the “nicest” person in the manor (seeing how they barely leave the lab)

Murdock (A Murder With Markiplier) and Yancy are in a relationship that started as only physical and developed into more personal, both sharing their interests with each other the more they hung out. Murdock offers his couch in his apartment for Yancy when he gets on parol

The Googles do not see each other as siblings, more as separate parts of one being. They share files and memory space between each other, work on the same projects, simply having their own color coded folders for anything deemed unnecessary to share between each other. They all see Bing as a reluctant colleague while he sees them as his friends-

Edward has taken responsibility for HeeHoo, while it isn’t domesticated enough to stay in the manor full time, he leaves a cellar door open with a nest of fabrics for HeeHoo to curl up in during the cold months, as well as bowls of food and fresh water by the back door of the manor. Every few months he gets Illinois and Res to hunt it down so he can do a check up and give it necessary medical work.

Illinois and Res are adventuring buddies, in the sense they go on forest walks in near silence. Illinois talks the most while Res is just interested in getting out of that too clean and too fancy house for a few hours. Illy has the maps and the experience while Res has the weapons and skill to keep them safe.

so much that I could say

I’m gonna start here even though I already posted about this before but I definitely think Mike fell for Davy first and kept it a secret for so long and never intended to do anything about it. Silent pining. Davy would fall hard for Mike but would also try to keep it a secret to not ruin their friendship, eventually tho it would come out that he loves Mike, whether he acts on it or says something or Mike just figures it out (or Micky and Peter try to set them up bc they know they like each other hah).

I talked about date ideas :) so im going to jump into some reasons why i like them paired together

I think they are really well suited for each other bc they tend to be on the same page, like Mike can start saying something and Davy will pick up on it and add to it. like for example in Monkees Race Again when they’re explaining why the engine blew up and Mike says it makes the car lighter and Davy adds “so it goes faster” (Micky does this too! but I like to think Mike and Davy are really good at picking up on little things from each other so they do it more often)

I also love their contrasts with the obvious being British/American (specifically from a southern state cause they got an accent difference going on). Mike’s bit of country twang vs Davy’s broadway type ballad voice. I think they have very complimentary sounding voices and the live on the Johnny Cash show version of Nine Times Blue is my favorite for this reason (the monkees should’ve done more duet/group-type songs rip). 

Their other obvious contrast is their tall guy small guy thing! I’m not usually one for height difference ships but they’ve turned me onto the idea :D I really love the way Davy can just lean his head onto Mike shoulder and Mike can rest his chin on Davy’s head 🥹 Davy is also the perfect height for Mike to just drape his arm over his shoulders. Also I really love how grabby Davy is, he is with all the guys but it’s extra cute when he’s pulling on Mike’s sleeves or hiding behind him because Mike likes being the protector and caretaker of the group, so I think it’s a nice dynamic for them. Also I like to think that because Davy is so grabby he’s probably also a cuddler. I just know he always ends up spooning Mike even if that’s not how they fall asleep.

Random headcanons:

Mike definitely uses romantic nicknames and my favorite one he uses for Davy is “doll” (i know the special nickname used in fics is honeychild and that one is sooo cute too)

This one kinda goes along with Davy being touchy but I know he loveessss wrapping his arms around Mike’s waist either as a hug from behind or just to hold him while standing next to him. He just can’t resist it me too Davy 

Davy obviously has great puppydog eyes bc he’s so pretty and young looking but Mike’s puppydog eyes when he decides to use them are an instant knockout you just can’t say no to him.

This one is nsfw: I do see them as a switch couple but primarily Mike tops bc I think he would feel like there’s more control being in a “dominant” position and also he likes being the provider (a service top). But Davy does get to top occasionally and when he does he puts his all into making Mike come apart under his touch, LOTS of foreplay until Mike is whimpering and even begging 😳

This question got me thinking hard about any headcanon I have about doramitsu, because I mostly had written them lol

But of course, I still got some. Here you go:

Mitsuya's mother intentionally sends his son away to a different school, far far far away from Draken's school because she distrusts Draken. She despises how Draken gives 'bad influence' to Mitsuya (though, eventually she softens with him, especially after they're dating and Mitsuya looks really happy).

Zephyr and Impulse comes from the same bike shop and it's all thanks to Masaway. This comes up in my story once, but I want to elaborate in a separate story but I haven't had the chance yet. By the time they obtained the bikes, they met the other Toman founder.

Draken loves to come over to Mitsuya's house and actually is surprised when he finds Hakkai there (while Hakkai is way more surprised than he is, especially with the tattoo). They spend time secretly competing against each other for the 'Mitsuya's favorite best friend's title (of course, without Mitsuya's knowledge).

Hayashida family is very fond of Draken. They were the ones who invested in D&D motors and even encouraged Draken to take engineering course certification. With Pah being an only child, Draken somehow was like a second child to them.

Mitsuya never told Draken about his father, and Draken never asked. He only knew that Mitsuya is his mother's family name. The topic of father never comes up in their conversation, until very very late (they're married and contemplating to have children of their own). In retrospect, Draken also had never tried to find out about his real family. For him, Masaway and the girls in the brothel are enough family for him.

Draken and Mitsuya get another matching tattoos somewhen in their life.

Luna and Mana often come to Draken when they need advice when they are unsure of Mitsuya's reaction (sometimes it's about boys). Draken always welcomes them and can always be trusted with secrets. Mitsuya knows this, but he doesn't try to snoop on his sisters' business, he trusts Draken to never give them the wrong advice.

Draken keeps in touch with every girl from the brothel and when he starts signing his letter and emails with '& Mitsuya', Mitsuya starts sending them little gifts too. They remain 'Kenny and Joker' to those girls.

They loved to match each other. They have tons of matching outfits (which often get styled differently so it appears so obviously matching), they bought many twinning items, disguising the purchase as "It 's cheaper to buy in bulk!" (like toothbrush, pajama, etc). One day, Yasuda points out that Mitsuya and Draken look good in their synchronized outfits, they somehow are embarrassed of getting caught.

Draken had never thought much about how much Mitsuya's presence matters to him, until Mitsuya had to go overseas to study. They were already dating at that time, but the realization had just hit him like a truck, that he was miserable when he couldn't see Mitsuya.

Draken was the one to suggest that they repainted the dragon mural, once in a while. Mitsuya agreed and they went to renew the paint together. Eventually, they couldn't do it (because the building is set to be renovated), and Draken provided a space on the bike shop building, for Mitsuya to redraw the dragon.

Mitsuya is more strict with whoever Luna and Mana are dating, while Draken appears more lenient. But he always, and never miss any chance, to threaten whoever Luna and Mana brought home.
