The "Real" Message of The Show

No matter what, people will be determined to classify someone as "bad" when a new series drops. like people can't be viewed through the lens of being "neutral" or "good people who make bad decisions"...despite that typically being how people are???

When I watched season one, I only really paid attention to Wille and Simon, but when I did a rewatch, I really saw all the moving parts and how much YR was a super cohesive story with intertwining of all of the character's experiences. At the center this show deals with different societal classes, upbringings, etc and we do actually see how that affects who these people are and what they do as the show goes on, and it's not meaningless/out of the blue.

Because no matter how much people want to act like it's not as impacting as it is: People are a product of their experiences.

Wille- If we're being real we saw him for a very small portion at the beginning of the show before everything blew up-him being super adorable, sweet, and awkward. Since being under his strict lifestyle and pressure, he's been going on this downward spiral-he has literally been becoming more and more in the image of his royal family since season 1 (and season 2 he was a lot of the same as 3, it just gets glossed over by his thoughtful decision at the end).

Since I first watched the show, it was clear to me how all of the backstory with August's character was not throwaway information. Tbh, what we know of him in season 1 was never enough to make sense of where his bad decision came from (I guess his insecurity..). But this season, they just gave so much more. And it's strange to me how strongly people react for either argument- of August being actually evil, or having to identify him as a good person [tbf I never thought he was a "bad" person per say, which is my whole point of writing this because for every character of a series (look at the reaction to Wilhelm this szn) people immediately have to sort them into good and bad columns on the judgement of morality and not just take story for what it is: story]. Again, with August his backstory has always added reason to why he is the way he is, but now knowing what we know with Erik, and being 1? 2? years older than Wille, his experience does make sense of what he did (when it's almost exactly the same thing with Wilmon). Because hurt people hurt people.

And with Sara, it's never been warranted the amount of hate she gets that insinuate she is evil. The show tells you very early on what her arc is gonna be: she places value on external things-she wants expensive clothes and to live in the fancy school and will try to impress to fit in with her new group of girl friends. And the irony is she lost it all after everything came out at the shooting range. She wanted what she never had and made decisions, because she thought that was what was important. She's a product of her experiences and it's also her experience-because she was bullied-that August's letter means even more to her and results in her kissing him.

Simon- has literally done nothing wrong (we're not talking about his decision to sell, because that's not really a choice that badly affects ppl other than mostly only himself).

Felice- has literally done nothing wrong; had the biggest positive transformation between seasons 1 and 2, because she stopped caring about external accolades (and that is also a representation of her being a product of her environment because of her mother).

And, to be clear I'm not saying people can't change how they are. Because, yeah Felice is a good example. August has surprised many people this season. Maybe August continues to change; maybe he doesn't. Wille has surprised people in his own way. Maybe we'll get more shocks in the final act. This show has always dealt with the subtext of personal experiences that lead to how people react.

Can we stop the aminosity towards A/H shippers? Anti culture is celebrated in our fandom now, and like, cool if you don't ship anyone, but many of you on this platform find a way to literally bully or harass fans who are openly A/H. Let's make something very fucking clear: Redirect your issues to Colfer instead, because he wrote the 6th book. HE wrote the kiss. HE wrote them having feelings for eachother. Whatever someone's reason is for shipping, they DON'T need to explain themselves, or be made guilty for their preferences! Now, your hate and despise of the ship DOES affect other people when you go into the Hartemis tag and write on shippers' posts, literally heckling and harassing them. You know who you all are. I have had younger fans, literal kids, message me with art and explain they didn't feel safe posting it to tumblr because of the antis and hatred of A/H. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME. Do you know how angry this makes me? This is disgusting behavior, that children can't post their work without an anti yelling at them they're supporting pedophilia.

Which do you think is more harmful?! Supporting A/H? Or isolating young teens or kids and making their work and art feel worthless and unwanted?

Immortal Desires Project Update!! [Finally]

Hello my friends! I'm so sorry about the radio silence. There's been a lot going on in my personal life, so progress has been a little slow!

However, I have some big updates and more sneak peeks, including three new characters, since I've starved you all of updates.

To start: We're looking for more writers. One of our writers had to back away for personal reasons, so it's down to a two people team. If you're interested, pop into the message box so we can chat :) To be able to join the team, you must be 18+. No exceptions to this rule.

In way of programming... There's been a lot of progress. I've been working on this for weeks now, and for being literally brand-spanking-new to the world of coding, there's a lot of progress and it's coming out well. The custom character menu is done, animations for various objects are done... Just have to tighten some screws and we're probably good to start implementing the chapters!

... And chapter 1 is nearly complete! The base layout of the story is feeling pretty solid as well. I know this isn't the most comprehensive writing update, but there will be more soon.

There are many new characters being added to the game. It's taken a lot of time to make quite a few of them, minus the more side-esque characters (think of like Margot or Nicole). Speaking of, here are two of your new potential besties! Meet Solana and Julian!

Before we continue, yes, Julian is basically reskinned Donovan from MAH. In my defense, the sprite is just too beautiful to never be used again! He's also a mix with the green-haired bully man who pops up from time to time. At the moment, he's your run-of-the-mill half sprite; I'm hoping to give him an actual body soon. Then we have our non-binary god/dess, Solana! They're not entirely new, but they're heavily edited with hair that is 10/10 stolen from Morgan in HSS:CA; I've always loved Morgan's hair. You can possibly meet them when you first arrive in...

BOSTON! There'll be a slight change in scenery for some of IDFP, but Crimson Beech will still be joining along for the ride.

To close, all of the masc MC sprite sheets are done. However, despite being non-binary myself (as in Devlin), I know nothing about fashion, especially masc/cis-male. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm nothing but an edgy punk and don't explore much outside of that, outside of wearing slacks and button ups to work. Anywhoo, all of the original outfits in ID have been resized to the new body sizes! I also have a few new outfits for the masc MC!

I'm sorry if you're getting bullied or your hard work isn't being appreciated but in terms of you as a person you come off really judgemental, arrogant and rude. Even professors have to do chores and so do you. Being a topper doesn't make you a superior person. this is the problem with venting out on social media platforms. the very first line you apologized to me if I was being bullied and then you go on to contradict those lines yourself. i have a lot of friends, I am kind to each one of my batchmates (not just classmates), and keep helping them that's why I never complained about my friends in that rant. However there are some people in my family, and around the society i live in who blame their insecurities on my capabilities even if the two are far from being interrelated. the fact that you found me arrogant and rude bc i vented out my bottled up feelings, lowering my guard down speaks volumes why some people refrain from putting their views forward on the internet. I did not even get what you said about professors because mind you, my professors are very supportive to me and my classmates but there are some who are pure sadists and they constantly try to bring people like me down, who are academically good and focused. trust me.

Being a topper does not make me superior. Yes. Thank you for admitting it. That is another thing that people like you have stereotyped about us. But even if it does give some sort of peace to us, thinking we are actually good at something (re-read my post where I said this line) is there something wrong with that? There are people in my class who are super talented at dancing and singing and they feel superior to others because they're good at it. Theres nothing wrong with it. Similarly, if we feel superior because we can actually do good academically, why is that a concern? Some toppers are annoying, ngl. Do not generalize us. Unless some of us don't bully you and ask you to worship at our altar, why is that a bad thing? I will also give you a very common example. Some of my classmates still have a stage fear in even texting our professors and suggesting them changes in the schedule so they text us because they know we got this. C. I actually did have the right to post that. It's my blog and it was my mental health on the line and the expense of me wanting to continue creating my ocs and stories. Keeping all my feelings on the inside was not doing anything for me. I spoke my peace; I was mature about it and asked my friends not to send you any hate. And I know that my friends would respect my wishes; now as for anons, every one in the oc community has been getting hateful anons that feed off creating chaos and trouble.

D. You once badgered me about how I needed to write Elektra's story and called her a very dull and boring oc, and that she wasn't as great as my other ocs that I had created previously. You left me what you deemed to be "criticism" and "help" when in reality, it was just you slandering and being borderline hostile toward her—and not to mention your homophobic comment toward Elektra ending up with Rey, and saying that the Skywalker family died with Elektra and when I said, "No. Not unless she and Rey adopt."

You very clearly said that being adopted doesn't make them Skywalkers since they're not blood related. First of all, that's very rude towards adoptive kids with parents; telling them that they're not family because they don't share the same blood. It's wrong, hurtful, and I even told you that blatantly. Secondly, you tried to excuse yourself by saying that you were raised in a religious setting. So was I, but you don't see me making those types of comments.

and E. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT OWNING FACECLAIMS. NOT ONCE. I have no idea where you got that idea from but unlike some people in this oc community, I'm not one of those people who believe in gatekeeping faceclaims because of course everyone uses Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Danielle Rose Russell, Nina Dobrev, etc for many specific fandoms because their content works and because they have a lot of it from being in numerous projects!

We have had this conversation before.

That is all I said to you. I literally say "You can have a similar fc . . . as long as the oc and plot are different." Meaning that you can have the same name or variant of a name and fc as another, but make sure the story is something new and exciting.

See, my problem is that whenever I made an OC it seemed like days later you'd make one that was just like it. At first, I ignored it until it kept on happening more and more and I began getting paranoid to the point that I didn't even want to share my ocs and their stories anymore; which is why I stopped posting so much on Quotev.

I've always treated you with respect but it felt like somewhere along the way, you made me feel like I couldn't have fun with writing when I use it as an outlet and I didn't feel safe anymore.

Mingi was someone who always kept to himself, never wanting to draw any kind of attention.

Unfortunately for him, he got a lot of attention while he was studying in university, and not the good kind.

He accidentally bumped into one of the jocks at school, and from that moment on, his life was hell.

He was constantly belittled, shoved to the floor, his locker filled with vicious and cruel messages ranging from "freak" to "kill yourself."

Mingi often just sighed and continued his day, as if this was totally normal.

It's not that he didn't understand what was going on or didn't care.

He was just too awkward and scared to stand up to himself.

So he often just came home, feeling hopeless and in despair.

Many times he hardly ate and would end up crawling inside his blankets and cry himself to sleep.

Even the few people he talked to stopped associating themselves with him out of fear of becoming the bullies' next target.

So Mingi resigned himself to being alone and to think no one would ever care about him....

Until you came along.

You had recently transferred to his school and one of the first things you saw was the poor sandy hair colored giant get punched in the stomach by his locker.

You were so disgusted and sickened by their behavior that you did not hesitate to go over and make sure he was all right.

"Hey, do you need help?" You asked as you helped him get up.

"I I'm fine...t-thanks.." Without another word, he left you standing there, running off to his next class.

He thought that'd be the last time he saw you but during lunch break, you made it a point to look for him and talk to him.

"Are you feeling better?"

Mingi looked up at you with wide eyes, wondering if it really was him you were talking to.

"Y-yeah...I'm fine. T-thanks"

Smiling at him, you sat next to him, taking out your lunch while trying to make conversation with him.

All throughout it, Mingi seemed agitated, scared almost.

You felt really bad and asked him if something was bothering him.

Sighing he told you:

"Look, I appreciate your concern, but I think it's best if you stay away from me.... I don't want them to hurt you because of me..."

You saw the sadness in his eyes, the loneliness behind them and that made you want to stay with him even more.

"What's your name?" You asked what you had really wanted to know since the beginning.

"Song Mingi." He answered you.

Grinning at him, you held out your hand.

"Well Song Mingi, I'm L/N Y/N. Your soon to be new best friend."

Mingi's mouth dropped at your words, he couldn't possibly believe you were serious.

But you were and not only did you become his closest friend, you also became his protector.

Unlike him, you were fearless, vivacious, outgoing and spontaneous.

And Mingi began to admire you a lot for it....

More than admired, he began to worship you, falling deeply in love with you.

For once in his life, he was happy, truly happy and filled with joy.

Instead of crying himself to sleep, he went to bed all excited to spend the next day with you.

And of course you two spent a lot of time together, since he became your math tutor cause you were the absolute worst with numbers.

You were thankful that Mingi was so patient and caring towards you.

He never showed any signs of frustration or annoyance even after explaining the equation to you about 20 times.

"Y/N. Pay attention or you won't ace the test." He often told you, adding a little pinch to your nose or cheek to get you to focus.

He also loved just talking to you during these sessions.

Obviously being your best friend, he also ended up picking up on what sort of things you liked in a guy.

He would often observe you at school or while you two were out.

One time he even read through a few of your messages with one of your other friends from your old school.

It was exactly what Mingi needed to know, he now had a glimpse of the type of boyfriend you wanted.

And for you.....he'd end up becoming that boyfriend.

So while you were in spring break, he prepared everything.

He got rid of his cardigans and vests, trading them for leather and jean jackets.

He ended up cutting his hair differently and started wearing tighter fitting pants that accentuated his thick thighs.

So when you saw him again, it was a complete 180° from the shy, nerdy boy you knew.

"Whoah! Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?"

You weren't going to lie, Mingi did look very attractive.

You were glad though that he was still the cute, adorable and somewhat clumsy boy he was when you first met him.

Because that's the Mingi you knew and loved.

And you wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

It was after finals that Mingi decided to ask you out.

You were both out celebrating the fact you both passed when he popped the question:

"Y/N will you go out with me?" He suddenly blurted out.

You were taken aback, but said yes nonetheless.

Mingi was so happy.

He was extremely devoted to you as a boyfriend, always saying yes to you and going along with whatever it was you wanted.

Anything you said, he would do it.

"Anywhere you want to go is fine with me."

"Anything you want is fine with me."

You thought it was really sweet at first, he really wanted to make you happy.

But after almost a year of dating, it kinda started to get annoying.

It bothered you that he never seemed to have an opinion of his own.

You actually snapped at him one day while planning a date out.

"Can't you freaking decide for yourself once?"

Mingi just whipped his head at you, unable to comprehend why you were yelling at him.

"Do you not even care about me or this relationship? Cause honestly it seems like you're not actually putting effort into it and if it's like that, why am I even wasting my time on you?"

Mingi got really scared when you began walking out the door, he pleaded with you to stay, to talk through it.

"I'll do anything! Y/N please just don't leave me! What do you want me to do?!" He begged as he got on his knees.

"I want you to leave me alone!"

Alone......that word struck a chord in Mingi's head.....alone.

No....he couldn't go back to being alone...go back to the cold world that he was used to.

He began hyperventilating, his head was spinning and it was pounding like there was no tomorrow.

He doesn't remember much after that. All he remembers was the annoying knocking at the door.

He remembers opening it and seeing a random salesperson there....

But after that, it's all a big black faze, and when he finally came to his senses....

He was covered in blood, and a bludgeoned corpse was sprawled across the kitchen floor.

Although he was panicking, Mingi knew that you could not find out about this.

So he quickly got to work and cleaned up all traces of blood and managed to get rid of the body with no one seeing him.

He was so confused about what happened and panicking about if you found out, that he didn't hear you come in the house until you literally stood in front of him.

He instantly got on his knees and hugged your waist.

"Baby I was so scared that you left me forever! Please I'm sorry I made you feel like I don't care about you, I do! I fucking love you so much, and I promise I'll try harder....

Just for you..."

You felt so bad seeing him, and truly you loved him and felt like it was a petty thing to get mad about.

You pulled him up and reassured him that you weren't mad anymore and that you were too much in love with him to leave.

Mingi felt so relieved. He couldn't even begin to fathom what would happen if he did lose you.

He'd probably go insane.

True to his word, Mingi did try harder to get rid of that habit of just following what you said like a little puppy, and would now start expressing himself more.

Now the problem was he went the complete opposite direction: now he seemed to question your every decision and it would lead to small tiny banters between you two.

One time you got tired of him making a fuss over the fact you were spending so much time with a classmate that it turned really ugly.

"We're working on a project Mingi! Nothing else!" You shouted at him.

"What do you need to be going to his house though and staying til late hours of the night? Why can't you two do it here?!"

"Because you end up distracting us both and throwing passive aggressive words to him." You were exhausted from all the screaming by now you were losing your patience.

"Are you sure it's not because you're just whoring yourself out with them?" He didn't mean for those words to come out...but they did.

And you didn't mean to get so angry to the point of slapping him, but you did and that's when it hit you that you went too far.

You both stood there stunned at what happened, Mingi more hurt than anything by your actions, while you felt ashamed of yourself.

You lifted your hand against the very person you were protecting at first.....and now you hated yourself for hurting him like his past bullies.

Ashamed and full of guilt, you turned away and began walking out.

"Wait no! Y/N please! It's ok! It was my fault! I shouldn't have said that! Please let's just work it out!"

"No Mingi! I can't! I..... I need a break."

Mingi's world came crumbling down when you said that. He went into a slight catatonic state as he watched you walk away.

Once he regained his senses, he ran after you, desperate to bring you back, running around aimlessly through the dark streets and alleys, calling out for you but you were nowhere to be seen.

"Get lost you dirty bastard." A passerby rudely shoved him out of the way.

In a matter of seconds, Mingi's eyes darkened, his fist clenched at his side as rage now coursed through his body.

He turned his head to look back at the stranger who was now walking away.

Smirking, Mingi pulled out the switchblade he was carrying in his pocket before creeping quietly to the man.

Someone had to pay the price and feel the wrath and despair he felt at losing his goddess......and he found them.

It had been roughly a month since you last saw Mingi and although you hated to admit it, you missed him. But you knew you had to stay away for his sake.

But things don't go as planned and you soon found out you were going to have to see him sooner than you thought...

Because you were now pregnant with his child and you had to let him know.

You were so nervous about telling him, your hand trembled as you opened the door to the apartment you used to share with Mingi.

You quietly stepped inside, too afraid to call out for him just yet.

But then you heard some weird noises coming from the bedroom, your heart somewhat dropping when you distinguished what sounded like moans and panting.

You could also make out Mingi's deep voice calling out your name.

Opening the door open, your hand flew to your mouth, semi-muffling your sharp gasp as you took in the scene of Mingi fucking some random girl with her face covered on the bed you two shared not too long ago.

"What the fuck Mingi?!" You exclaimed in utter disgust and betrayal.

"Y/N! I can explain!" All color drained from Mingi's face as he pulled himself out of the girl and quickly dressed himself.

You couldn't bear to stay there another moment, you just ran out of there once again.

But you didn't get far because Mingi swiftly caught up to you and enraptured you in his arms.

"Don't touch me! You're disgusting! You liar! You cheater!" You tossed and writhed around as you tried to escape his grasp, while Mingi tried to hold you still and trying to talk to you.

You felt an immense pain run through your stomach at that moment, your body becoming paralyzed as some weird and excruciating torment bursted in you.

Mingi noticed as well how you clutched your stomach and had difficulty breathing so he wasted no time in taking you to the hospital.

You woke up hours later, late at night, a nurse by your side and Mingi on the other, his hand holding onto yours as tears poured from his eyes.

"What happened?" You immediately asked, your hand instinctively going to your belly.

The nurse explained with sorrow how you had lost the baby, apologizing profusely to you, knowing you were probably in pain.

You went berserk when she told you that, first you denied it, then you began screaming while trying to pull off the IVs attached to you.

Mingi tried to calm you down, but instead he made things worse with his presence.

"This is all your fault! If it wasn't because of you, my baby would be alive!"

Those words cut Mingi deep inside, you killed him immediately with them.

Other nurses rushed in to calm you down as one of them pulled Mingi away for his protection and for yours.

You were numb for the next few days, refusing to see anyone and especially not Mingi, you gave strict orders not to let him in.

You were planning on never seeing him again.

The very day you were released from the hospital though, he was the first person you encountered while you were on your way home.

"Y/N?" He asked, startling you when he came out from the corner.

Your feet shifted slowly, almost losing balance on the small step on your front door.

"What are you doing here? I thought I made it clear I never wanted to see you." Not wanting to waste another minute, you quickly punched in your passcode.

"Y/N baby you don't mean that! I love you! And you love me!"

You let out a dry and haughty laugh at that.

"You? Love me? Is that why you were fucking some whore behind my back?"

"I swear she didn't mean anything! And I made her cover her face because I was thinking of you the entire time..."

You rolled your eyes at that, feeling absolutely disgusted.

"But then I realized she was to blame for everything and so I got rid of her so I can make you happy, forgive me and we could start again."

You halted your actions when he said that.

"Mingi...what do you mean you got rid of her?"

If his last words disturbed you, now you were absolutely horrified as he calmly told you how he mutilated her body and discarded her remains in a lake outside of the city.

You actually felt sick and nearly threw up right then and there.

"Mingi.....what..... you're insane! How could you-?"

Mingi couldn't understand why you were upset.

"Don't you see? I did it for you Y/N. Everything I've ever done is for you."

Now it dawned on you, the person you've ever loved was sick, extremely sick and needed help.

"Mingi.....don't come near me again....stay away....seriously..."

And once again another struggle between you two ensued, you wanting to run away while he held onto you for dear life.

"Stop Mingi! Let me go! I don't love you anymore!"

The spinning in his head started once again, his vision becoming hazy, he could hear his own heartbeat resonating in his ears, his hand shook violently as it reached for an all too familiar object he kept hidden in his pocket....

Everything turned dark and blinding....

But when he came back, there he was, staring in shock at your lifeless body, a fresh, clean cut running all across your neck, blood still spurting out and staining his hands.

"Oh my God! What have I done?!" Mingi cried out, wailing and screaming erratically at the thought that he had just murdered his soulmate with his own hands.

He couldn't bear the thought of living without you, he just couldn't....

And so he picked up the very tool he used to kill you and held up to his own neck....

I’m not trying to imply anything at all, I’m just genuinely curious about your viewpoint and how much of it is influenced by your experiences interacting with trans people. Sorry if it came off as rude, that wasn’t my intent

Well. I met one trans person back in middle school (he wasn't trans then). He was a very clearly gay boy and he got bullied to hell and back for it. He even got talked badly about in my high school which he didn't even fucking attend! People were genuinely that cruel to him. Even had the pleasure of hearing him deliberately referred to as "it" 🙄 (the guy literally was like "him... Or it" like Jesus) It's no wonder he wanted to transition to a woman. I actually really liked him and, last I checked, he was very aware he was a homosexual male and didn't try to pretend otherwise. He was always nice and accepting of me. I have nothing but fond memories of him.

Second trans person I met was in high school. I had seen her around a few times before she started to transition. She was a lesbian. I never really talked to her... In fact, I think the only thing I ever actually said to her was "what does your hat say?". By the time she had started presenting as male, I was already gender critical. I couldn't help but think how sad it was that we were only teenagers and she was clearly on testosterone and either wearing a binder or had top surgery. Like... There's no way her being a lesbian didn't massively effect her desire to be a guy. I will say, though, she dropped a ton of weight during her transition so maybe she really was happier like that. I don't know enough about her to say. I do find it funny that the two trans people I've personally met irl have been homosexuals with a rough school life (really bad relationships in her case).

I also met two significant trans people online who I had extensive conversation with. Both of them fully knowing my gender crit views.

The first one was extremely annoying cause it was clear that she was trying to goad me. I wasn't interested in engaging so I ended the conversation. A while later, she messaged me again and was all like "it bothers me you call trans men female. We're male." and was just spouting nonsense but I guess she was too big of a fan to leave me alone cause she reblogged some of my posts with commentary 😭. I only remember one reblog because it produced such a funny response from another gendie. That's besides the point though. This girl was absolutely dead set on calling herself a gay man even though she was female lmao. Not liking the fact you're female does not a man make.

The second was a transmed who was more than a little unhinged. Not because she was trans but because she had some uh... Political opinions and personality traits I couldn't get behind. Don't have much to say about her tbh.

I feel like my views have been effected by these 4 people. The first 2 are literally just "a lot of trans people are just gays who have dealt with massive homophobia" and the last 2 are just "some other trans people hold views made by insane junk science" (the girl insisting she was male was adamant about the idea that there were articles proving trans men are male). Knowing these people made it easier for gender critical ideas to stick cause it's like... Yea, what gender crits say is true lmao. I've seen it. I know what type of people these things tend to find.

Thoughts and Reaction to WISHMAKER

Oh I'm so excited about this one! Marinette's little soft looks she gives Adrien in recent episodes before snapping herself out of it is adorable. Not overwhelming, just nice. Poor Adrien doesn't know what he wants to do. But the thing that hurts me most (probably because I was always in the same position he is in, so understand more than hurt from it) is the fact he thinks that with Ladybug adding more people to the team, he won't be needed and thus won't be Chat Noir anymore. OOOF it hurts! Poor Adrien doesn't realize that if Ladybug didn't give these Miraculous out, Shadow Moth would've gotten their Miraculous from them a long time ago. I rewatched all episodes out now in chronological order, and it's so obvious she cares about him and could not be able to do what she does without him. What needs to happen is for her to not only tell him that, but express it somehow for him to believe it.

"Come on, Plagg. It's time to start thinking about our future." OUR future. He's including Plagg in that future. Good! I definitely understand what this episode is trying to get across about jobs and careers, but a majority of people can't and never end up doing a job or career they love and gives meaning. Some struggle just to find something they can do with their circumstances, much less something that'd make them happy. A very good message though to encourage young kids to look into many interests and try to find what you enjoy to life to end up doing that makes an impact on the world to spread the positivity and happiness. Hey hey hey Alec, how dare you go after Andre the Ice Cream Maker?! But good on him for not letting it affect him at all, he's doing what he loves so the criticism doesn't matter. "Pistachio and pecan for the clear-sighted young man!" "Who? What young man?" "Hello Marinette." I love Luka so much and Andrew's voice is so smooth. x3 I've wanted to learn the violin for years, I have one, but have never been able to do much with it. Luka having and playing his violin makes me incredibly happy (and adore him even more). "Whoa. You definitely have a gift for finding the right words at the right time." "Adrien." "Ah, well, most of the time." LOL But this entire scene. Luka saying you haven't told him about your feelings have you, her noticing he's sad, and Luka being like let's go talk to him and help him then! Just. AWWW! Poor Adrien has so much pressure to find something he wants to do or his dad will make him do what he wants instead. That's going to make it even harder for him to find something... I remember a spoiler from a long time ago, of Adrien baking with Marinette. What if he finds he loves it when that happens, and it's what he wants to do? :o Ahahahaha when Luka goes and sits next to Adrien, Adrien looks up at Marinette expectantly to sit down too. Probably thought by him. but she went the safe route and went next to Luka. xD Adrien, thinking he knew what Luka and Marinette want to do. Luka knows what he wants but it isn't what Adrien or the rest of us thought. Marinette thought she knew but now she's not sure at all. So all three are kind of confused and it's complicated. Life's complicated. Have you noticed, this is the most honest Marinette and Adrien have ever been about something so deep and personal to them? And they're able to do it around each other. Because Luka's there. He's like their emotional guide to help bring them closer and I love it. "Nothing, my mind is empty!" "I'm completely lost!" - Marinette and Adrien say together. Dang. When Luka explains Marinette and Adrien's "inner music" that felt like the most deep and personal scene this show has ever had. "You two will eventually find what's already in front of you," he says before he knew. As they look at each other. Oh lovely foreshadowing moment here. it’s the fact that black people has to deal with so much hatred within other communities and then turn around and deal with it in their own community for me 😐

1. the hatred against black women(who have done nothing but stand by black men’s sides and help them when they were on their last legs, only to not gain the same respect in return)

2.  internalized homophobia from within the black community, ESPECIALLY from black men who feel the need to constantly harass the gay community, knowing we as people personally knows how it feels to be discriminated against

3.  colorism, which has seemed to be AMPLIFIED to an even larger scale towards darkskins ESPECIALLY dark skinned women. colorism is another mechanism that white people have used to try and control the black community. it was impliemted during SLAVE times with things such as the “mulattos” or “lighter skinned” slaves would work in the house (which was barely better than the fields, with the women and men getting forcefully raped and such) while the darker colored slaves would work in the fields. it was also used during segregation, for example “the paper bag test” where black people who were “lighter than a paper bag” were able to be in areas and participate in activities with whites, while the darker colored black people were not

5. not only do we have to deal with anti-blackness within OUR OWN community but in OTHER poc communities as well. a prime example being people of the asain community, bringing down BLM and saying how they were here for our time of need so why aren’t we there for theirs? black people will always stand by other people of color in their time of need, but when those same people of color feel the need to constantly bring us down to put their message out there it’s honestly very disheartening. what does BLM have to do with the current discrimination against asians? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, yet again we are being attacked for something we have no involvement in. poc are supposed to stick together and lift each other up in their hard times, not attack each other and drift further apart

6. we have to deal with racist white people constantly berating us and telling us to get over our generational  traumas, segregation was less than 60 years ago, my fucking grandmother was alive for that shit. yet we’re supposed to “forgive and forget” over 400+ years of violence and discrimination against our people? make it make sense

secondly, I want to point out that you are in fact part of the problem I'm describing. you see, we here in the fruitverse (a term which, if I am correct, I have the first documented use of, albeit not as one word, on my main) are a bunch of people just out to have a little bit of fun. we make it easy to not deal with us if you don't like us: use the built in block feature that comes with an account on www.tumblr.com to ensure that we don't see you and you don't see us. however, if you don't know how to do that, I'd be happy to teach you.

having established how easy it is to block us, I would now like to point out that by making a post expressing how you think we're annoying or dumb or stupid is rather rude at best, and outright harmful at worst. If I made a post belittling and insulting a fandom because I thought their show/movie/media of choice was lame, I would be in the wrong. now consider the fact that that is exactly what you're doing when you make your posts. you can say it's different using whatever excuse you want, but you would be wrong. just because we aren't an established fandom with thousands of participants doesn't mean you have the right to belittle us for our interests. our blogs harm nobody, our gimmick doesn't affect you in any way that you can't prevent. bullying these blogs does have an effect. If you're so bothered by a cartoon ship (which... no words) still don't understand why you take it out on shippers, not like you could do much about the studio anyway, they don't care, as they should, but then being on our ass is entirely pointless... maybe that's the problem at the same time, maybe to some extent you do realise no one cares so you've decided persecuting a bunch of fan creators and consumers would be the next best thing. The first thing that confuses me: that I’m apparently “taking it out on shippers”, “ persecuting”, and “bullying” them? Please show me your receipts. I’ve literally never directly initiated contact with a sessrin blog. Hell, the one time I considered answering a post made by a pro blog, it was going to be in direct response to a question they posed in the anti tag, directed towards antis, and it turns out I couldn’t even answer the post because the user had most of the anti community blocked. (Silly, I know, but this is what we’ve been dealing with so what can I say.) Any time I want to respond to a sessrin argument that wasn’t directed to me anyways, I would usually screenshot it and blackout the names.

I can count on one hand the times I’ve even posted in the same thread as pro sessrin blogs, and in those cases, I either A) didn’t directly call out the other blog/blogs that were posting in the same thread as me, or @ them, or B) was only even interacting in said post because pro shippers were piling on and harassing people in the thread, and I was simply pointing out that there were shippers in said thread acting fools. The only time I ever even pointed out a particular blog I did it via screenshot and did it to keep a record of a blog that was admitting to flagging our posts as spam.

Anyways, regardless of the fact that I’m pretty sure you sent this to the wrong person, I guess I can render a response to the base question you seem to be asking here: Why argue with shippers?

Really, at the end of the day, I’m not arguing with your average shipper. Hell, there are a few blogs I even follow and interact with that have said they like sessrin content, but they understand this is not an appropriate thing for a kid's show. And I can respect that because I’ve been in the problematic ship boat in other fandoms. (Here’s a hint, in one of the fandoms that I followed content for a problematic ship in, a content creator was given cookies with sewing needles baked into them, yikes right?!)

The main message of mine and many other blogs I follow is that this ship isn’t appropriate for children’s media, and what happens is a lot of salty people come out of the woodwork who feel the need to argue and say there is nothing wrong with it, which causes us to have to list the reasons why there is indeed something wrong with it (thus why it shouldn't be in said children’s media), then what happens is people like you come at us and act like all we’ve been doing is bullying shippers, and “why don’t you just let us ship in peace!?!?!?!!!??”

In fact, I shouldn’t even be surprised that I got this ask eventually, because as I’ve pointed out in the past, the shipper argument seems to be a cyclical one.

A blogger will make a statement something along the lines that they really don’t care if people ship sessrin, but the shippers really shouldn’t be making a lot of noise to the studio that they want to see this ship in the show because kids watch it, and it’s not a great message to send to kids.

A shipper will then message the blog (usually anonymously if possible) something along the lines of you’re wrong about the ship sending a bad message to kids because of xyz, or it’s a totally normal and healthy relationship, and you’re wrong, or Yashahime isn’t for kids, etc.

The Blogger will then respond with actual evidence, a well-worded response, or even just fucking common sense (like come on, some of the mental gymnastics I’ve seen people employ to try to validate this fucking ship to us is hilarious).

The blogger will then get another message something along the lines of  “why don’t you just let us ship in peace!?!?!?!!!??”

The blogger responds with JESUS CHRIST I SAID FROM THE VERY START THAT I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU SHIP I JUST DON’T WANT TO SEE IT IN A GODDAMN KIDS CARTOON”

At which point the whole process is rinsed and repeated. Congratulations you’ve just witnessed a new grey hair grow out of my fucking scalp.

However, there is a new facet to this shit gem that I’ve noticed during this whole annoying cycle, and that is the fact that a lot of pro shippers are making claims that they are being harassed by anti blogs, but I’m not seeing a lot of proof of this. And make no mistake, if I see an established anti blog being terrible, or making a false claim, I have no problem calling them out, or correcting false information. Please, feel free to screenshot proof and post it in the anti tag, and see how many other blogs won't put up with this either.

And to be clear, I don’t really count anonymous asks as harassment, because people can be sending that shit to themselves. Just like I don’t mind asks I get like this one because I naively respond to them in the hopes that maybe someone will actually understand what the argument has been about this whole time. And if I didn’t like it, turning off anon magically gets rid of it, so *shrug*.

No, I’m talking about actual, out in the open harassment, or shitty behavior. 

Like oh say, Patreon art being reposted in a discord server, then when a good samaritan reports the art theft they are harassed by their fellow discord members.

Sometimes this fandom really scares me. Just when I think I saw everything I find out that I was wrong. Like I just saw someone say that the writers are homophobic for putting Josie and Finch together. I'm sorry but do they not know what homophobic means? Or is it only homophobic because it's not your ship. I swear each week H*sies get worse and worse. I'm so tried of seeing stuff like "I can't wait to see Hope be jealous of Finch" "notice how hoises have actually romantic content going on" "why are they trying to force Josie and Finch on us they have no chemistry" " I don't know people keep saying we bully people we don't. We just want Hosie to happen." And so on.

Hopes not going to be jealous of Finch because she has no feelings for Josie. Just like Josie has no feelings Hope. I mean even Josie said Hope is just her friend. I actually thought that would help them calm down. Boy was I wrong.

Two nothing that happens between Hope and Josie is anything romantic about it. So they have they're moments but that's nothing but friendship there. That's all.

Three they're not forcing anything. There was a bit of a build up for Finch and Josie. And there is chemistry there. I think they're just choosing not to see it. Plus before they casted the person who plays Finch you know they did a chemistry read. They only they being force is H*sies trying to make their ship happen.

Three okay that one just made me laugh. Like each week they get worse and worse. And now that whole homophobic thing. They're really grasping at dust here. And they did ever stop to think why Hope and Josie only had 2-3 actually scenes this season so far. We're over half way through the season. The writers did that for a reason. And I just like to point out there was an interview say that Hope and Landon are going to grow closer and stronger this season. So I still have hope for Handon and that they will get through this very very ruff path.

Yeah, Hope is not gonna be jealous of Finch because why would she be? She’s with Landon, has not wanted to be with anyone but Landon for all this time, has had feelings for only him since she was 15, and exactly, has no feelings for Josie. And Josie obviously only has feelings for Finch, and that’s been a major part of her storyline all season. And yes, the writers have repeatedly had Hope and Josie specifically call each other their friend, but these fans still aren’t getting the message.

And I have no idea where they’re getting that from, because there’s absolutely nothing romantic going on between Hope and Josie. I guess you can see what you want to see if you try hard enough and have the ability to twist everything and blow the tiniest details out of proportion. But it is just friendship between them, which has been confirmed on the show.

I agree, I don’t think they’re forcing Josie and Finch. Yeah, there are only 8 episodes left and Hope and Josie have only interacted in 2 episodes so far. And now that Landon is back and gonna need help recovering, I can’t imagine Hope is gonna suddenly be spending a bunch of time with Josie when she didn’t even when she thought the real Landon was with her and everything was okay.
