This is my OC Linh, a pretty swag vampire! 

She was a human in the Village until she volunteered for the scientists to experiment with Cadou (the parasite) on her. In the story, it is stated that 8 people had volunteered, but they never found Linh who was the 9th person. They assumed she died and never spoke of her again, but truly she became a vampire and wandered off to Castle Dimitrescu where she was accepted by Lady Dimitrescu. Linh paid her debt to Lady Dimitrescu by becoming her personal servant. Along the way, she became close friends with her daughters to the point where she acted like a mother to them. Alcina saw the way Linh was with her daughters and how light-hearted and positive she was...THEN THEY FELL IN LOVE YAYAYAY!! And the rest was history.

I think that in the beginning Viola was rather guarded around Zwei. Thus far most everyone she encountered didn't like her and treated her like an outcast so it was very strange to her that someone would want to protect her now. So in the beginning she might even have gone as far as to assume he had some ulterior motive in wanting to keep her around. It took her some time to come around to the idea that there perhaps were people worth befriending in the world after all. As time went on, Viola began to slowly open herself up to Zwei and he became the most important person in the world to her.

I think the biggest one for Amy is Autophobia or the fear of being alone/isolated or abandoned. Having been alone for the first ten years of her life, Amy has a very hard time getting close to people and the few that she does get close to, the thought that they might leave her at any moment looms over her. When it comes to the average person she has no problem being brutally honest about her opinion on things but when it comes to the people she cares about, she may be more silent in regards to her opinion in fear that if she says the wrong thing they may not want her around anymore. This carries through to when she loses her memories and becomes Viola but in addition to being careful with her words, the thought that she is a burden due to her memory loss and the fact that she isn’t a strong fighter also always weighs over her.

okay so we all know that zwei and viola get barely if any actual development in canon but we can draw a lot of conclusions about their relationship based on the artbook. one of the things i cant really overstate is just how important they are to one another. they had both been wandering around with nothing thus far, no friends or family or allies, and they’ve spent all this time alone fighting to stay alive in a world where everyone wanted them dead. 

and so right off the bat before ever really getting to know each other they both share life experiences that few if any at all also share. really no one else could understand either of them the way the other did. and zwei going as far as to call them kindred spirits is all i need to hear in order to say that they are canonically soul mates. 

i cant really speak to much for zwei but just from violas perspective, i like to imagine that zwei has taught viola a lot about life in general and about the world. he met her at a time when everyone wanted her dead for one reason or another and any and all semblance of caring about humans had left her by this point. so for someone to treat her gently and kindly for the first time, to want to protect her and treat her like she has worth as a person, it was hard for her to grasp in the beginning i imagine but eventually the way he treated her began to thaw her heart. and i imagine that it was through zwei that she inadvertently learned that not all people were bad. she had much to learn still of course about people and emotions and interaction, but zwei had inspired behavior in her that she otherwise would never have considered had she not met him and ultimately zwei had changed her for the better, which is eventually what led her to want to fight for schwarzwinds cause and is what led her to want to even begin opening up to other members of schwarzwind. 

tldr i think it is just very important to know that viola would not be the woman she became by soul calibur 5 without zwei being there by her side, whether he intended to guide her that way or not

theres honestly so much to be said about how much zwei impacted viola and shaped her view of humanity after having wandered for god knows how long all by herself and being hurt by people to the point where she couldnt bring herself to care about people anymore. like you have this woman here who just couldnt bring herself to empathize with other humans, who had good reason to hate humans for how much they hurt, ostracized, and othered her, how much they belittled her, and then for the first time in all the time she could remember, this person showed her kindness and compassion and wanted to protect her?? wanted to be her friend?? it must have been so confusing for her at first because all she knew was people wanting to hurt her but over time after she learned to trust him, you can probably imagine how many lessons he inadvertently taught her about humanity, that there was still kindness and good in some people and there was still a reason to care about them. he thawed her heart and out of literally anyone she could ever meet, he was the one who left the biggest impact on her

Romantic love is a very tricky subject for Viola. It’s not an emotion she had ever considered she might feel at some point and even when she feels it, she doesn’t realize that she feels it. Viola is guarded about all forms of relationships she might have, and romantic is no exception, however you can see this play out with Zwei. Until she takes the time to evaluate her emotions, she doesn’t realize that she has romantic feelings for him. The only thing that she knows for certain until it comes time to confront her emotions was that she wanted to stay by Zwei’s side forever, or at least as long as he would have her. 

However even with that being the case, one might even assume they are already together because of how comfortable she is around him. The two have very little reservations around each other. It wouldn’t be uncommon to see them holding hands. If they are sitting beside each other Viola may rest her head against his shoulder subconsciously. They may lay together at night while camping or even share a bed if they get to stay in an inn.

⚰️- how does my muse process death?

Being that death and despair were a constant in Amy’s life, she had grown numb to the idea of death and so for most people, she couldn’t bring herself to care. The same goes for Viola, she was never empathetic enough to care about the death of others. However hypothetically if she were to experience the death of someone important to her, she would have a very very hard time during the grieving process. Emotions in general were always hard for Amy and Viola to understand and as a result she would bottle everything she felt up, as she was unsure how to work through her emotions. So when it comes to the death of a loved one, Amy/Viola would quite literally be a deer in headlights, unsure of what to do with herself or where to go from there. She would cry, but she could never pinpoint what exactly it was that was making her cry in that moment. A selfish part of her would feel angry, and wonder how someone who she loved so much could leave her alone. She would eventually move on but she would keep all the feelings she felt but couldn’t identify internalized and it would likely cause her to become even more reclusive and more reluctant to form new bonds and friendships with others.

🌝- is my muse a night owl?

Amy enjoyed sitting in the garden at night when she could however she didn’t think much of it. She was also made to follow rules that stated she needed to go to bed at a certain time so she didn’t really get to experience enjoying the night on her own terms. However Viola loves the night. It’s when she feels most at peace, when she knows she can travel without needing to worry as much about people seeing her and giving her trouble. And it’s also the time when the stars and moon are out. Viola takes great comfort in seeing the stars and moon, since they are the only things she knows for a fact will remain a constant in her life

🍕- does my muse have a favorite meal?

Not a favorite meal per se, neither Viola or Amy is picky when it comes to food since they both have experience with living with food being hard to come by. However they both have developed a sweet tooth and like to indulge in sweets when they can, especially chocolate. Chocolate was not hard for Amy to come by when she began living in the Dumas estate and she would enjoy it whenever she was allowed to. It was much more scarce for Viola and it was a much more “once in a while” sort of treat. She would save up her money from mercenary jobs to buy some when she had the opportunity to. 

🎆- how does my muse react to change?

Surprisingly well. Amy has been praised by quite a few for her natural intuition and ability to adapt to her situation and so she could go with any change that was thrown her way. Viola being able to see the future definitely helps her when it comes to change but being that her life was never stable to begin with, she was always aware that change could come at any instant and she knew that often times not reacting to it in the right way could be the difference between life and death.

🎶- is music a good stress-reliever for Amy/Viola?

Amy associates music with the ballet lessons she was forced to take by Raphael, much to her annoyance. As such, she never found herself particularly enjoying music, as it only reminded her of the hours she would put in while learning. 

Viola’s prefers sound is that of silence, usually. However she doesn’t mind when music is being played. Music to Viola often meant there was something to celebrate. Some of the members of Schwarzwind would pull out their instruments in celebration of a particularly big win against the malfested and it seemed to be that people were at their happiest when there was music. It isn’t something she would seek out for stress relief but she knows that she can be at ease if she hears it.
