are there any youtube channels you like watching for japanese studies?

Yeah I have some recommendations. I break my language stuff into study purposes and entertainment purposes. So channels I watch explicitly for studying and reviewing grammar rules and note taking and channels I watch for fun and laidback listening practice.

Because I think a mixture of both are pretty important for my own progress. Sometimes I am in the mood to study and other times I can't really bothered whether it be because I'm busy or lazy.

There was a time I felt like I couldn’t draw anymore and my editor just kept telling me it’d be okay, really positive. That really saved me.

豪華キャストが大集結！公開記念舞台挨拶イベントレポート

このたび、8月26日（土）に映画『Gメン』の公開記念イベントを実施！全国47都道府県・120館でのライブビューイングでも生中継された舞台挨拶に、岸優太、竜星涼、恒松祐里、矢本悠馬、森本慎太郎、瑠東東一郎監督が登場すると会場から大きな拍手が。

なお、登壇予定だった、りんたろー。の欠席が発表され、MCより到着したばかりというりんたろー。からのコメントが読み上げられました。「天王会の奴らにやられた。俺が行くまで耐えてくれ」という内容に「昨日やられて寝込んじゃったんじゃない？（矢本）」「遅刻って聞きましたよ（岸）」「寝坊でしょ、なにやってんだよ！（竜星）」とまさかの失態に開始早々総ツッコミが起こっていました。

映画初主演となる本作で門松勝太を演じた岸は「ついに公開を迎えられたので一緒に『Gメン』を盛り上げてくれたら嬉しいです」と元気いっぱいに挨拶しました。

●SNSで事前募集した「＃Gメンに質問」の回答コーナー

イベントでは事前にSNS上で質問を募った「＃Gメンに質問」に答えていくことに。「共演する前と後で一番印象が違ってた人を教えてください！」の質問に対し全員で一斉に思い浮かぶ人を指差すと、岸と矢本はお互いを指名。岸が「矢本くん、顔が可愛いじゃないですか。でも会ってみたらめちゃくちゃ兄貴肌でみんなをまとめてくれて、想像以上にお兄ちゃんでした。撮影の最初でも話しかけてくれて、矢本くんのお陰で現場に溶け込めました」と述べると矢本も「岸はTVで観てた時はこの人特別だな、見たことない人だなって思ってたんですが、本人に会ってみたら想像以上に見たことなかったですね。よく無事に撮影を撮り終えたなと思う程、奇跡的な日常でしたよ。この先の岸が楽しみで仕方がない」とコメント。すかさず岸が「そんなヤバくないですよ。全然普通ですよ！」と返すと、矢本も「いや基本話し出すと人の話を聞いてないから」と応戦。「めちゃくちゃ言われるんですよ。人の話を聞いてないって。でもちゃんと聞いてますからね！」と反論しました。

続く竜星と森本もお互いを指名。一番印象が違ったと思うポイントに竜星は「僕は慎ちゃんです。初めて現場で会ったとき短パンにサンダルで、アイドルだけどめっちゃラフで。そこからすごく好きになりました」とコメント。竜星からの話を受けた森本も「僕も同じです。竜星くんもめっちゃラフな服装で親近感があって」と回答すると、岸は「慎ちゃんは、現場に来る際に毎回右手に何か持ってるんですよ」と言うと、恒松も「佇まいがかっこいいですよね。今日現場に来るときもサンドウィッチに飲み物を持っていて。LAみたいな感じでした」と盛り上がっていました。

さらに「2回目以降はここに注目して観て欲しいというシーンを教えてください」という質問に対して、尾上松也演じる加藤が率いる、凶悪組織・天王会との激しい戦いのシーンを挙げた岸が「2回目の人は蟹挟みのシーンに注目ですかね。アクションの早い流れの中で実は色んな動きを入れているので」とアクションシーンをプッシュしつつ、「3回目の人はどこだろう…何回も観れば着眼点も変わりますよね」と見どころの多い本作をアピール。竜星は「岸優太が笑いを堪えているところですね。いかに素の岸優太を観られるか注目してほしいですね」とコメントすると、監督も「（岸の）素の部分はめちゃくちゃ活かしました。全員が岸くんの素を引き出してくれていた」と添え、岸も「だいぶ笑いを堪えましたよ！良い意味で笑いの絶えない現場でした」と撮影を振り返りました。

本作のエンドロールでは、ザ・クロマニヨンズの主題歌「ランラン」とともに、まるで本編の延長戦のような勝太とレイナのシーンが流れるのも楽しいポイント。レイナを演じた恒松は、「勝太とレイナのシーンは2分間くらいのアドリブなんです。でもずっとやっていて体感では10分くらいに思いました」とアドリブで演じていたことを明かしました。岸も「アドリブのシーンはその場で生まれて来ました、なんかいい感じでしたよね」と振り返ると、恒松が「最後のこれ(ハートポーズ)が面白すぎて。普通は絶対出てこないです。さすが岸さんだなって感じました」と思いだし笑いをこらえつつも大称賛！それを受けた岸が「本当は聞きたくないんですけど、どこの話ですか？」といまいちピンと来ていないまさかの発言に、「うそでしょ！？」「ほら！人の話聞いてないじゃん！」とまた全員から総ツッコミを受け会場も笑いに包まれていました。

●瑠東監督からキャストへ、「Gメン通信簿」発表！

続いて瑠東監督より、撮影から宣伝まで怒涛の日々を駆け抜けたキャスト陣一人ひとりに「Gメン通信簿」と題した成績発表のコーナーへ。まずは寝坊で舞台挨拶に間に合わず、不在のりんたろー。は「今日は遅刻で残念でした。退学です！」と、ねぎらいの言葉が出るかと思いきや、まさかの退学宣言を受けることに！続いて森本へ「みんなのムードメーカーで、ハードな撮影でも盛り上げ、楽しませてくれました。昭和のヤンキーがハマりまくって、机も壊し、大変よく暴れてくれました」とコメントし撮影用の壊れやすい机ではなく、普通の机だったことを明かしつつコメント。森本は「最後のアクションシーンで本当に机を真っ二つに割ったので。自分でもびっくりしました。2回目鑑賞時にぜひ注目してください！」とすかさずアピールしました。矢本には「初日からガンガンアドリブで攻め、みんなを笑わせ、スイッチを入れ、空気を作ってくれました。とにかく芝居の尺が長く、編集で困り大変よくやり過ぎました」と告げると、矢本が「自分が面白いと思うことをやっただけなんで」とかっこよく決めてみせました。

恒松に対しては「岸くんとの恋愛シーンは大変キュートでした。下ネタもコメディも凄く品があり、アクションも自ら志願し頑張りました。大変可愛らしかったです」と告げると、恒松も「助けられるばかりじゃなく自分からも戦っていけるヒロインでいたいなと思って」と喜びつつもキャラクターへ込めた思いをコメント。竜星へ「ワークショップの時から、みんなを引っ張り、アクションも天然キャラも久しぶりのイケメンも大変よくやり切りました。岸くんの天然もよく引き出してくれました」と発表。竜星も笑顔で受け止めつつ「良い話ですね。これ泣かせに来てるからね」と反応すると、岸も「卒業式っぽい、しっとりした感じもいいですね」と監督のコメントへ期待を寄せた。監督から岸に「映画初主演、全力以上の全力、常に120％で駆け抜けてくれました。期待通りの天然ボーイが連日炸裂しつつも、現場の熱を上げる素敵な愛され座長、大変よく頑張りました」とねぎらいました。岸は「みんな良いメッセージいただきましたね。嬉しいけど、瑠東さんとはいつも楽しいことばかり話している印象だから、マジなコメントいただくと恥ずかしくて」と照れながらも、喜びを実感していた様子でした。

●「Gメンポイントキャンペーン」で集まったポイント＝G（グラム）にちなんで、皆の想い（重い）が詰まった60ｋgの米俵を岸が担ぐ！？

フォトセッションでは公式で開催された【Gメンポイントキャンペーン】で参加者たちが貯めたポイントの合計「60,726Gメンポイント」にちなんだ、60.726kgの米俵を用意。映画公開を楽しみにしていたファンの想いそのものであり、「末広がりに運が開けていく」縁起物であるお米の詰まった、特別な米俵を、岸が担ぐことに！いざ挑戦してみたものの20cm程度しか持ち上げられなかった岸は、思わず「これはだいぶ重いです…もう一回いいですか」とリベンジすることに。客席からの熱い声援を受け、再び米俵を持ち上げると「確実にさっきよりは上がりました。でもめっちゃ重いですよ、ただの60キロじゃない重みを感じました」とコメント。参加してくれたみんなの想い（＝重い）を噛みしめながらも見せ場をやり切った岸の発言に、会場が温かい笑いに包まれました。

最後には全員を代表して岸からの挨拶が。「みなさんにとっての夏の思い出になってほしいです。老若男女楽しめる作品なので、幅広い方に楽しんでほしい。“Gポーズ”も拡散して一緒に盛り上げてくれたら嬉しいです」とメッセージを送りイベントの幕が閉じました。

Remember how I've mentioned at least twice that there are actually real conversions for the weird units in Trigun? I found em. They were on the inside of the DVD sleeve for Trigun '98. There's also some other nice info about money and Nightow's character/worldbuilding (or lack of thought about it lol)

And guess what? I just checked the conversions, and these lengths (provided in metric) are almost exactly the same as their real-life imperial counterparts. The character heights are also completely wrong. Using these units, Vash's height converts to 158cm, when we know that he's canonically 180cm in the '98 anime.

So take all this with a grain of salt!

今、この問題を〝いけしゃぁしゃぁ〟と報道している大手のTV新聞も実は、ジャニーズ事務所と全く同じく、この超大規模性虐待問題を隠蔽し続けたのです。

したがって、この事件の主犯はジャニー喜多川であったとしても、ジャニーズ事務所と大手TV新聞社もまた、共犯という形で大きな罪を負っているのです。

テストROMをプレイして正直びっくりした。 ウチの人間にここまでやれるとは思っていなかった。 これだけの作品だ。絶対に売りたい。広告戦略も大胆にやろう。そう心に決めた。 既にWEBサーバーは何度もパンクしかかってるが、僕の仕事はより多くのアクセスをもたらすことだ。むしろパンクさせてやろうじゃないか（そんなことを言うと現場の人間や上長に殴られそうだが・・・）より多くの人にこの作品のことを知ってもらいたい気持ちの方が強い。 そう思って作ったTVCM・・・。 まさか、あんなことになるとは思わなかった。 TVCMは放送する前に、TV局の審査にかけなくてはならない。 そこでまさかの審判が下った。 「サブリミナルCM」だと言うのだ・・・。 そんなはずない・・・！ 僕は何度も何度も作ったフィルムを見直した。 というか放送期限までギリギリの状況で、一体どこを修正すれば・・・。 と憤慨してみたが・・・ 目まぐるしく移り変わる画面を眺めていると 耳鳴りがしてきた。 確かに、これは、サブリミナル・・・なのかもしれない。このタイトスケジュールの中、修正作業をしなければならない…そんなことを考えるとクラクラしてきた。 気分転換のために窓から顔を出すと、空が緑色に染まって見えた。 あれ…？東京の大気汚染はここまで進んでいたのか？ 気づいたら他のスタッフの姿が見えない。 耳鳴りが酷い。 空は相変わらずの緑色だ。 昨夜から降り続く雨が作った水溜りが真っ赤に染まって見えた。

初めてルナティックを見た時はその異質さに驚きました。他のヒーローたちと比べて全く系統が違うという印象です。最初は怖かったです（笑）、特に目が。しかしその生い立ちやユーリの人物像を知るにつれ、この姿がピッタリだと思うようになりました。顔の手形については桂先生が触れられるかと思いますが、あの怒りとも妖しさとも哀しみとも取れる表情は秀逸だと思います。全体に施されたラインの模様も気に入っています。鋭角的なデザインが好きなので。デザインとは関係ないですが、スーツの性能はやはり手作りという感じですね（笑）。斎藤さんが作ってくれたらあんなことにはならなかったのになぁと個人的にはちょっと残念に思います。まぁ、そこは実力でカバー。

僕にとってはヒーローたちに負けない、まぎれもない "ヒーロー”です。

When I saw Lunatic for the first time, I was surprised at the different quality (of his design). I had the impression that his lineage was completely different compared to the other heroes. I was scared at first (laughs), especially of the eyes. However, as I learned about Yuri's upbringing and personality, I grew to think that his appearance was perfect. Katsura-Sensei added the handprint of his face (to his mask), which is excellent because I think that the expressions (Lunatic's) can be taken as angry, mysterious and sad. I also like the pattern of the lines applied to the whole because I like sharp design. While it has nothing to do with the design (concepts), the performance of the suit is still handmade (laughs). Personally, I'm a little disappointed that Mr. Saito had not made it, but his (Lunatic's) abilities covered up for it.

For me, he's unmistakably a "hero" who can't lose to the heroes.

ネクタイは、虎徹のネクタイと同じく真ん中にストライプを入れ、それをユーリの場合は、カクカクにしたデザインです。

白と黒に、中央が自身の立ち位置を示すグレーにしていて、前回より、彼のキャラクター性を表したつもりです。

The necktie is the same as Kotetsu's tie, with a stripe in the middle. In Yuri's case, it is a jagged design. It's white and black with the centre grey to indicate his stance, shown from his character in the previous installment (S1).

ユーリは、「The Rising」では、新規デザインがなかったので、自分も楽しみでした。とはいえ職業柄、スーツ姿には変わりないので、遊べるところが少ないのですが、探は、ゲーム「ASTRAL CHAIN』で探いた四角いデザインを取り入れて、探えて、ボタンも四角くしています。

I was looking forward to the "The Rising" because there was no new design for Yuri. However, because of his occupation, he doesn't change his suit, so there were few places to play. So I incorporated the square design used in the game "ASTRAL CHAIN", and also used it for his buttons.

TN: There is another colour chart with a tie in the colours from the previous season, but I haven't included it.

ユーリのネクタイ。ネクタイだけ、前TVシリーズのカラーリングにしてみましたが、結局やめました。

Katsura says he originally coloured the tie in the same colours as S1 but decided to stop.

ーご自身が演じられているキャラクター以外で気になる存在はいますか？

-Is there anything you are interested in other than the character you are playing?

寿 私はユーリが気になっていて、彼が好きです。『T&B2』では物語的にもユーリが熱い展開だったので、目が離せませんでした。先ほどユーリのデザイン画を見させていただいたのですが、改めてカバンやネクタイひとつとっても彼の小道具はすごくオシャレだなと思いました。あと、アニメで髪が逆立っているシーンもすごく幻想的で。

Kotobuki: I'm interested in Yuri, and I like him. In "T&B2", Yuri's story has passionate development, and I couldn't take my eyes off it. I saw the drawings of Yuri's design, and thought the accessories of his bag and tie were very fashionable. Also, the scene in the anime, where his hair is standing on end is so fantastic.

桂 ユーリの展開は衝撃的だよね。

僕もプロットの段階から、ルナティックのクライマックスは「嘘だ！もったいない！やめてよ」と何回も言った記憶があります。でも彼についてははっきりと言及されているわけじゃないから、まだどうなったかはわからないと思います（笑）。千葉さんは誰が気になりました？

Katsura: Yuri's development is shocking, isn't it?

During the plot stages, I remember saying: "It's a lie! What a waste! Stop it!" many times about Lunatic's ending (climax). But it's not clearly mentioned, so I don't think I understand what happened yet (laughs).

Mr. Chiba, who are you interested in?

千葉 僕もキャラクターではないのですが、ルナティックのボウガンが良いなと。必殺技で「炎」は定番だと思うんですけど、その炎をボウガンで撃ち出すというアイデアが画期的でめちゃくちゃカッコいいなと思いました。

Chiba: I'm not interested in characters either (TN: Morita says earlier that he's not interested in characters), but Lunatic's bowgun is good. I think "flames" are standard special moves, but the idea of shooting flames with a bow gun was ground-breaking and incredibly cool.

TN: What follows is easily the greatest thing about this interview and it doesn't even have any Yuri/Luna content! 😭🤣

意外と評判が良い？ 男性キャラの「おしり」

Is it good that the male characters "butts'" are surprisingly popular?

島崎 僕は自分の役で申し訳ないんですけど、トーマスのキュッとした「おしり」がたまりません！新ヒーローの中でエース的存在のトーマスが、ピチッとしたスーツを着ているところに痺れたんです。その分、気絶した時には残念な姿に映りましたが（笑）、内またのラインとかが顕著に出ていて、「さすが桂先生のおしり」だと思いました。

Shimazaki: I'm sorry to say this since it's my role, but Thomas' tight "butt" is irresistible! I was numb to the fact that Thomas, who is an ace among the new heroes, was wearing a tight suit. As a result, it was unfortunate when he fainted (laughs), because the inner line was prominent, and I thought: "as expected of Katsura-Sensei's butts".

桂 あははは！でも、男の尻だよ?

Katsura: Ahahaha! But it's a man's ass?

島﨑どこからみてもラインが美しいんですよ。イケてます！

Shimazaki: No matter where you look, the line is beautiful. It's cool!

アマリア・ザタリ、BBCロシア語ソヴィエト連邦時代のロシアでは、隣近所の人や同僚や、赤の他人でさえ、当局に密告するのは普通のことだった。それが今では、ウクライナでの戦争に批判的な国民をロシア当局が厳しく取り締まる中で、誰かが気に食わないとか、自分には政治的な主義主張があるのだなど、様々な理由から、他人を密告するロシア人が増えている。「うちは、祖父が密告が得意だったので、どうすればいいか私は祖父に教わりました」「アンナ・コロブコワ」を名乗る女性はこう話す。ロシアの大都市に住んでいるそうだが、具体的にどこかは明らかにしなかった。広告そのコロブコワさんの祖父はスターリン時代、ソ連の秘密警察に匿名で情報提供をしていたのだという。当時は、他人を密告したり糾弾したりすることは日常生活の一部だったし、孫娘も今や祖父のあとを継いでいる。彼女は今では、ウクライナでの戦争に批判的だと思う相手は誰だろうと、片端から通報している。密告の常習者を自認ロシアによるウクライナ全面侵攻が始まって以来、自分は1397通の通報文を書いたと、コロブコワさんは言う。自分の通報によって、大勢が罰金を科せられ、解雇され、「外国の代理人」のレッテルを貼られたという。「気の毒とは思わない」と、コロブコワさんは明かす。「私が通報したおかげで罰せられたなら、とてもうれしい」。2022年2月にロシアがウクライナに侵攻してから間もなく、新しい検閲制度が法制化された。それ以来、コロブコワさんは暇を見つけてはオンラインで過ごし、「ロシア軍の信用を傷つけた」と思う人たちを次々と通報している。今の制度では、「ロシア軍の信用を毀損（きそん）」した罪で有罪となれば、最高5万ルーブル（約8万円）の罰金か、2回以上の再犯の場合は最高5年間の禁錮刑の罰を受ける。コロブコワさんは私の取材に対して非常に慎重で、メールでのやり取りにしか応じなかった。自分の顔を出すのはいやで、自分の身元を証明するものも提示したくないと力説した。なぜかというと、「殺してやる」と脅されることが多く、自分の個人情報がハッキングされたり盗まれたりするのが怖いからだという。では、なぜ自分と同じロシア市民について、密告するのか。動機は二つあるという。第一に、ロシアがウクライナに打ち勝つための手助けを、自分はしているのだと。そして第二に、自分の経済的安定の助けにもなるからだと。コロブコワさんは独り暮らしで、人文系の教授としてパートタイムで働いているという。貯金を取り崩しながらなんとか、やりくりしているのだと。もしも戦争でウクライナが有利になれば、ロシアは賠償金を払う羽目になり、そんなことになれば国全体と国民全員の経済状態が打撃を受けかねないと、心配しているのだと話す。「特別軍事作戦に反対する全員が、私の安全と生活にとって、敵です」。こう言うコロブコワさんにとって、ウクライナの勝利は自分の敗北を意味する。「貯金がなくなって、フルタイムの仕事を見つけなくてはならなくなる」政府から離れて活動するロシアの独立系人権団体「OVD-インフォ」によると、新しい検閲法が制定されて以来、軍を批判した疑いで8000件以上の事案が立件されているという。標的コロブコワさんが通報するのは主に、マスコミに話をする人たちだ。特に、BBCなどの外国メディアの取材に応じる人たちを、標的としている。人類学者のアレクサンドラ・アルヒポワさんも、コロブコワさんに通報された一人だ。画像説明, アレクサンドラ・アルヒポワさんは人類学者として、ロシアで密告が再燃している現状を研究している「彼女はもう7回、私のことを通報しています」とアルヒポワさんは話す。「密告文を書くことがあの人にとって、当局とやりとりする手段で、それが自分の使命だと思っている」。「自分にぴったりな、得意なことを見つけたんでしょう。彼女に糾弾されると、専門家や研究者は往々にして、黙るしかなくなる」アルヒポワさんは今や亡命中だ。自分が昨年5月にロシア国内法に基づき「外国の代理人」と認定されたことと、コロブコワさんの行動は、無縁ではないかもしれないと思っている。「彼女に通報された私の友人たちは、もう一切、マスコミに話をしなくなりました。なので、彼女は成功したと言えるでしょう。任務完了です」もう一人、標的にされたのは、タティアナ・チェルヴェンコさんというモスクワの教師だった。ロシア政府が2022年9月に愛国教育を導入した際、チェルヴェンコさんは独立系メディア「ドシチ（TV Rain）」で、自分は代わりに数学を教えることにしたと発言した。「ドシチ」はその後、ロシア国内では閉鎖され、今ではオランダを拠点にしている。「ドシチ」のインタビューを見たコロブコワさんは、チェルヴェンコさんを攻撃し始めた。チェルヴェンコさんの勤務先に苦情を繰り返し、モスクワの教育当局やロシアの子どもの権利当局にもクレームを重ねた。結果的にチェルヴェンコさんは、2022年12月に解雇された。画像説明, タティアナ・チェルヴェンコさんは、自分が教職を追われたのは、通報・糾弾されたからだと言うコロブコワさんは自分のしたことを、何も後悔していない様子だ。それどころか、自分が通報した人たちのデータベースを作り、その結果どうなったかも記録している。自分の通報の結果、6人が解雇されたほか、15人が罰金処分を受けたのだという。コロブコワさんは、ロシア国家の敵だと思う相手しか自分は相手にしていないと力説する。しかし、ロシア国内には個人的な恨みつらみを晴らすために通報している人もいるという話が、BBCに寄せられている。投獄され、自由を求め漁師のヤロスラフ・レフチェンコさんは、ロシア極東のカムチャッカ半島出身だ。半島は火山と珍しい野生動物で有名なだけでなく、ロシア軍が重点配備されていることでも知られる。この地域に住む人たちの多くは、ウラジーミル・プーチン大統領を支持している。レフチェンコさんの同僚たちもそうだ。画像説明, ヤロスラフ・レフチェンコさん2023年2月のことだ。レフチェンコさんの漁船は1カ月の航海を終えて、カムチャッカの港に戻った。仲間の漁師に酒を勧められたが、断った。相手の男は以前から自分に不満があったらしいと、レフチェンコさんは言う。酒を断ったことから口論になり、レフチェンコさんは頭をびんで殴られ、意識が戻った時には病院にいた。退院が許され、被害届を出そうと警察署へ行くと、通報されていたのはむしろ自分の方だと知らされた。暴行ではなく、反戦思想を理由に。愕然（がくぜん）とした。レフチェンコさんに警察は、彼を殴った同僚を訴えられるほどの証拠がないと告げたのだという。やがて7月13日になり、レフチェンコさんは逮捕された。BBCが確認した裁判資料によると、問われている罪状はテロの正当化だ。そんなことはしていないと否定するレフチェンコさんは、公判開始前という理由で勾留された。BBCと連絡をとるには、弁護士に手紙を託すしか方法がない。「私が他の船員に暴力をはたらいたと、捜査員たちは言う（中略）そして、ロシア連邦に対して敵対行為をするつもりだと、私がそう話していたことになっている」と、レフチェンコさんは私たちに書いた。画像説明, BBCが確認した書類によると、レフチェンコさんはテロを正当化した罪に問われている。本人は否認しているレフチェンコさんの友人たちは、相手の船員が自分の暴力行為をごまかし、警察の目をそらすために、彼が通報したのだろうと、私に話した。漁船内での飲酒は禁止されているのに、酒を勧めたことも、相手の男はごまかそうとしているのだろうと。「自分はただ家に戻りたい」と、レフチェンコさんは言う。「自分の牢（ろう）では、何重もの鉄格子の向こうにかろうじて、空がぎりぎり少し見えるだけで、こんなことは耐えられない」。彼がこう友人に書き送った手紙を、その友人がBBCに見せてくれた。「果てしない訴え」戦争が始まって以来、あまりに大量の通報が次々とくるため対応しきれないのだと、ロシア警察は認めている。「誰かがロシア軍を批判したという訴えが、延々と届く」ため、警察はその捜査と対応に多くの時間を割いているのだと、警察関係者はBBCに匿名で明らかにした。「特別軍事作戦」をめぐり「何かしら他人を攻撃したい人たちが、常に言いがかりの口実を探している」のだと、引退間もない警官がBBCに話した。「おかげで、たとえ具体的な中身のある本物の案件がいざ来ても、捜査しようにも人手がない。みんな、ウクライナの旗に見えるカーテンを見たという、どこかのおばあちゃんの話を確認しに、出払ってしまっているので」プーチン大統領は、「裏切り者を罰せよ」と繰り返している。そして、ウクライナでの戦争に終わりは全く見えない。それだけに、コロブコワさんのような常習的な密告者も、ほかの市民について密告するのを全くやめようとしない。「私はこれからも、通報文を書き続ける」と、彼女はメールでBBCに伝えてきた。「たくさん書かなくてはならないので、忙しい」のだという。（英語記事　Ukraine war: The Russians snitching on colleagues and strangers）

Hitorie 2024 Lisani Interview for the On The Frontline/SENSE-LESS WONDER [ReREC] Release

――デビュー10周年を記念したシングルの表題曲「オン・ザ・フロントライン」は、TVアニメ『無職転生Ⅱ ～異世界行ったら本気だす～』 第2クールOPテーマ。まずは『無職転生Ⅱ』の好きなキャラクターについて教えてもらえますか？ The A side song for your single “On the Frontline”, is featured as the opening song for the second season of the anime “Mushoku Tensei”. Could you tell me about which characters you like from the show?

シノダ　ナナホシさんです。キャラデザから境遇から性格から何から何まで僕はナナホシさんが好きです。少しでも彼女に良いことがあればいいなと思っています。 Shinoda: Nanahoshi-san for me. I like her all the way down from her character design up to her lore and personality, every last little detail. I want at least something, any nice thing to happen to her.

イガラシ　ロキシー・ミグルディアが好きです。突出した才能を備えているがゆえの不器用さと、驕らずに自分を変えていく部分に感銘を受けました。 ygarshy: I like Roxy Migurdia. The way that her outstanding talent is exactly what makes her so clumsy, and the fact that she doesn’t let it get to her head and instead attempts to change herself, it all left an impression on me.

ゆーまお　ザノバ・シーローンが好きです。人形に対しての情熱と愛が彼を狂わせてイカれてしまった人間なのかと思いきや、忠誠心からか身内にはとても思いやりのある優しいギャップがとても良いです。ジュリとの今後の関係値がどう深まっていくのか気になります。 Yumao: I like Zanoba Shirone. It may have seemed as if his love and passion for his puppets drew him mad and pushed him off the edge but, the fact that it originally came from a place of kindness and love, he was just too loyal for his own good, is so interesting to me. I’m so curious to see how his relationship with Julie plays out in the future.

――なるほど。「オン・ザ・フロントライン」はエッジの効いたサウンドと美しいメロディが共存した楽曲。制作時の方向性、こだわった部分は？ I see. “On the Frontline” is a song wherein which violent instrumentals coexist with a gorgeous melody. Was there any specific part you were fussy with, in terms of direction, when writing the song?

シノダ　この時はエレキギターのカッコよさを伝える使命感に駆られていた為、1サビ後の間奏のフレーズが爆発力ある音で録れたことに非常に満足しています。 Shinoda: I felt it was almost my duty to show the world just how cool electric guitar can be, and that’s exactly what drove me to make the guitar solo after the first chorus so explosive. I’m incredibly satisfied with how the recording turned out.

イガラシ　ベースに関しては、伸びやかな歌のメロディーを引き立てることとリズムの力強さを損なわないことの両立をイメージしました。 ygarshy: In regards to the bass, I focused on emboldening the melody of the calm vocals, but in a way that wouldn’t impede on the strength of the rhythm. I had to find a way to balance both.

ゆーまお　破壊的で攻撃的なサウンドを埋め込みたくて、ギターの注文は結構こだわっていました。途中に組み込まれている変拍子も、自分が影響を受けたオルタナティブロックバンドの破壊的で推進力を感じるビートを取り入れました。 Yumao: I wanted the music to be chock full of destructive and aggressive energy, so I was meticulous in following whatever the guitar needed. The change in rhythm in the middle of the song was inspired by the alternative rock bands I like, as I fashioned the beat to have that same propulsive, explosive force that they tend to have.

――〈失っちゃいけない想いだけをなぞった/そして僕は行くのだろう〉という歌詞が印象的でした。この歌詞を書いていたときに、シノダさんが意識していたのはどんなことですか？ The lyrics “I traced only my feelings worth fighting for/And so do I forge on” especially left an impression on me. What was going through your head when you wrote them?

シノダ　生きていく上で大切なものを失うということは、往々にして起こり得ることなのだと感じることがここ数年多くて。そういったことも受け止め続ける覚悟を決めながら生きていかなければいけないんだよな、みたいなことを考えながら書いていたように思います。 Shinoda: Over the past few years I’ve had to face the reality that in life you will lose the things that you love, it’s commonplace. So I was thinking about how we need to be ready to cope with that so long as keep going on living.

――そして「センスレス・ワンダー[ReRec]」は、メジャー１ｓｔシングル「センスレス・ワンダー」を新たにレコーディングした音源。現在のみなさんにとって、「センスレス・ワンダー」とはどんな曲でしょうか？ For Senseless Wonder [ReRec], you recorded the song from your first major single anew. What does Senseless Wonder as a song mean to you now, after all this time?

シノダ　我ながらカッコいいギターリフを考えたな、と10年前の自分を褒めてあげたい曲です。 Shinoda: “Damn you really came up with a cool guitar riff” is what I would tell myself from10 years ago.

イガラシ　自分たちをここまで連れてきてくれた曲です。 ygarshy: This song has served to bring us to where we are today.

ゆーまお　青さの現れ、と思っています。とてつもなく早いBPMと情報量が詰め込まれている音数、歌詞、どれもあの時の年齢、思考でしか出てこない曲だなと思います。 Yumao: I feel it was really the flower of our youth. The unbelievably high BPM, the information overload, all somehow stuffed within the measure and the lyrics, everything. It’s the kind of thing that was only possible at that age, and mindset we were in back then.

――「センスレス・ワンダー」を初めて3人で演奏したときのことを教えてもらえますか？　また、今回レコーディングにするにあたって大事にしていたことは？ Could you tell me about the first time you performed Senseless Wonder as a trio? Or what was essential to you when recording the new version?

シノダ　最初はどうしても音が足りないので、それでもとにかくこれでやっていくしかないなと、きっとやっていくうちにカッコよくなっていく筈だと当時は思っていました。そうやって再構築してやって来た「センスレス・ワンダー」をなるべくそのまま録音したい、という気持ちで今回の録音に挑みました。 Shinoda: We were lacking manpower and just notes and noise in general initially, but we had no choice except to keep on pushing and find a solution as to how to make it cool as we went.

イガラシ　イントロでwowakaが弾いていたカッティングをベースで演奏する必要があって、ギター特有のストロークのパターンを高速で演奏することに注力しました。 ygarshy: I needed to recreate the clip of wowaka’s guitar playing but on bass, so it was a challenge play the guitar’s unique stroke patterns at the high speed needed.

ゆーまお　���にかく音が足りない。イントロのリズムギターを���が弾くのかとか、サウンドの厚みが減ったのではないかとか、減ってたって良いじゃないかとか、色々話していました。 Yumao: We were just flat out lacking notes. The question of who would play the rhythm guitar part in the intro, the fact that the music lost so many layers, the fact that maybe it was fine even though it wasn’t as rich as it was before…. We discussed a lot.

――「Selfy charm」は煌びやかさな音像とバンドサウンドが融合。このアレンジに至った経緯を教えてもらえますか？ “Selfy charm” combines hard J-rock with glittery musical imagery.

シノダ　ギターに関しては基本的にイガラシ君の意のままにアレンジした、といった感じです。とにかくメチャメチャ綺麗な音で録れたので満足しています。 Shinoda: For the guitar, I primarily abided by whatever ygarshy-kun asked me to do. So I’m so happy with how crisp and clean the music came out.

イガラシ　2年前、Summer flight tourで全国をまわっていた時期にデモを制作しました。夏の夜の浮遊感、熱を攪拌しながら夜道を彷徨う様なイメージで音を重ねた記憶があります。 ygarshy: I had written the draft for the song back during our nationwide Summer Flight Tour two years ago. I remember I had in mind that floaty, airy atmosphere of summer nights; drifting along sunless streets whilst the heat whisked around, that kind of thing.

――歌詞のテーマは美醜だとか。見た目に対する意識はますます強まっている印象もありますが、このテーマを選んだ理由は？ The theme of the song is appearances, the pretty and the ugly. I get the sense that you’re beginning to worry about the way you look more and more, but, what exactly was the reason you settled on this theme?

シノダ　僕が重度のSNS依存症なので、基本的にずっと画面をスクロールさせているんですけど、ふとした瞬間にタイムラインに発生する綺麗な女性の写真にスクロールを反射的に止めさせられることがあって。その“止めさせられ”が最早強制力の域に達してるんじゃないかと思うことが多く、この女性はどれだけの苦悩やコンプレックスを抱え、それらと戦い続け、努力を重ね、いかにして人のスクロールを止める強制力を得るに至ったのかみたいなことを勝手に想像したときがありました。生半可な努力では無いはずなので。その勝手な想像が何か曲にハマりそうだったので、歌詞にしてみました。 Shinoda: I’m a heavy social media addict, you can practically always find me scrolling on my screen. So sometimes when photos of beautiful women suddenly show up on my timeline, they reflexively make me halt my scrolling. I often end up feeling like that “makes me halt” part practically reaches the level of forceful compulsion with how powerful it is. These women must be burdened with their own anxieties, things they hate about themselves, struggles they’re constantly battling. All those efforts are what won them their extramundane power to force us to stop our scrolling. Or so, I find myself imagining. There’s no way they put half-assed effort into what they do after all. That wild imagination of mine was went into the song.

――そして「さくらのいつか」はwowakaさんを思って書かれた曲だとか。このテーマで曲を作ろうと決めた理由、そこに込めた思いを教えてもらえますか？ Then, you said that “Sakura no Itsuka” was written about wowaka. What made you decide to write about this subject?

シノダ　このテーマで曲を作ろうとしたわけではなく、この曲は〆切のギリッギリに出来た曲なんですけど、ちょうど桜が咲いていた時期だった所為か、ごくごく自然にこの曲が書けてしまい。書けてしまったということはこれも何かの巡り合わせなのだろう、ということで収録するに至った次第です。 Shinoda: I actually didn’t consciously decide to do so. I finished the song in the nick of time before the deadline too. The cherry blossoms just so happened to be in season at the time, and that’s why this song kind of naturally came to me. It was a crazy twist of fate, even more so that it ended up on the album.

――今回のシングル4曲はすべてライブで披露されています。ライブでの手ごたえはどうでしたか？ All 4 songs from the single are now being performed live at concerts. What has the response been like?

シノダ　「さくらのいつか」に関しては、初めて演奏した時に会場全体を悲しみの坩堝にぶち込んでしまったような感触があり、この曲この先演奏するのやめた方がいいのかな、と一瞬悩むほどでした。 Shinoda: I felt like the entire crowd was flung into one big melting pot of sorrow the first time we performed “Sakura no Itsuka”, and for a moment back there I was worried that maybe we shouldn’t ever perform this song again.

イガラシ　初めて演奏したときから「Selfy charm」で盛り上がってくれて嬉しく思っています。あまりこのテンポの楽曲を作曲したことがなかったので、ひとつ今後への経験になりました。 ygarshy: The crowd has been enchanted by “Selfy charm” ever since the first time we unveiled it live. I’ve never really written a song with this tempo before so it’s been a good learning experience for me.

ゆーまお　「Selfy Charm」を演奏してる時、みんなが楽しそうにノリノリで聞いているのでとても嬉しいです。 Yumao: Whenever we do “Selfy charm” live, everyone bops along so cheerfully that it makes even me happy.

――ヒトリエは今年デビュー10周年。いろいろな出来事がありましたが、今現在のヒトリエをどう捉えていますか？ Hitorie: Hitorie hit their debut’s 10th year anniversary just this year. I can see you’ve been through many ups and downs along the way but, how do you feel about the current day Hitorie you’ve grown into?

シノダ　よくやってるな、と思います。 Shinoda: We’re really trucking right along, I think.

イガラシ　演奏の手応えは増してきています。継続と発展を目指します。 ygarshy: People are appreciating our performances more and more. So my goal is to first preserve then develop this state further.

ゆーまお　10周年にしてようやく、ヒトリエって結構強いバンドかもしれないって思ってきてます。 Yumao: After 10 years I’ve finally come to the realization that Hitorie actually is a pretty powerful force to be reckoned with.

――wowakaさんを失ってしまった後もバンドを継続できたこと、今も素晴らしい音楽をやり続けられていることの理由は何だと思いますか？ After losing wowaka-san you chose to still keep the band alive, and continue to write wonderful music, the same as before. What was the reasoning behind this decision?

シノダ　wowakaの作ったバンドだからだと思います。 Shinoda: Because Hitorie was made by wowaka.

イガラシ　現在進行形でかっこいいバンドの名曲として彼の音楽を聞き続けてもらえるように活動したいと思い続けています。 ygarshy: My motivation to continue on working is because I want the world to keep on listening to his music, be it via the hit tracks from a spunky band in the present progressive tense.

ゆーまお　彼の時は止まってしまいましたが、これから先も恥じないメンバーである事を証明するための意地ですね。 Yumao: Time may have stopped for him but, we’re adamant about proving that we are his bandmates, and we want to make him proud.

――9月15日には「HITORI-ESCAPE 2024 10-NEN-SAI～日比谷超絶野音～」を開催。今年の夏以降の活動ビジョンについて教えてください。 On September 15th you plan to throw HITORI-ESCAPE 10-NEN-SAI at Hibiya Outdoor Stage. Could you tell me about what your vision for the band will be post summer?

シノダ　きっと楽しい未来が待ってると思います。 Shinoda: All I know is that some kind of exciting future is probably waiting for us.

イガラシ　野音は節目の大きなライブですが、そのあともいい音楽と演奏を届けられるように止まらず活動していきます。 ygarshy: The Hibiya Non show is a major turning point, seeing as of how big of a show it is, but, once it’s over we still need to keep making good music and putting on good shows, no slowing down.

ゆーまお　日比谷野音が終わっても、まだまだ今年やる事が残っています。楽しみにしていてください。 Yumao: We sill have lots of things in store this year, even after Hibiya Non, so please keep your eyes peeled.
