I haven't been able to paint any new pictures since Patchouli the other day. Today, I would like to show you one of my paintings from the year before last, when I was in the hospital.

Today, I went to the psychiatrist I mentioned the other day.

Since it was my first visit, I had to wait for more than an hour because the other urgent patients had already finished their appointments.

After being called to see the doctor, he listened to me carefully and suggested that I start by alleviating the symptoms I was suffering from first and foremost, without making any diagnosis, and prescribed me a very gentle medicine.

I don't know how it is in other countries, but in Japan, it is called "out-of-hospital prescription," and you have to get a prescription from the hospital and go to a pharmacy to get the medicine there.

Unfortunately, I did not have the physical and mental strength to go to the pharmacy, so I do not have the medicine yet.

I haven't been able to sleep at this time (it is just after 3:00 am in Japan) due to various stressful events in the afternoon. I have a lot of things to do when the sun comes up, but I don't think I will be able to rest.

Since I had a serious illness, I have become more cognizant of stress, but at the same time, I feel that I have become very vulnerable to stress.

It always excites me to find a name written with super common kanji that happens to be super rare! What do you think of this? The surname 明丸 Akemaru or Akimaru uses characters that are taught in second grade of elementary school, but the name belongs to only about 40 people in the country. How interesting is that?

明 means bright or light, and by extension, cheerful, optimism, or clarity. It's made up of 日 sun and 月 moon. It has a lot of readings: あ (as in あ.かり, あ.ける, -あ.け, あ.く, あ.くる, or あ.かす), あか (as in あか.るい, あか.るむ, or あか.らむ), あき.らか, メイ, ミョウ, or ミン.

丸 means round or perfection. It's also used in ship names, like USS or HMS (though Maru comes at the ending; e.g. Kobayashi Maru). It's not a mandatory part of a ship's name, though, and it isn't used with war ships. ANYWAY, 丸 is rad まる or ガン.

ECCジュニア田村町教室、米津玄師さんのKICK BACKを何度も聞いて、身体半分昇天している中村です。

毎年この時期になると 「もう限界頂点だぁあああっっ！」 と叫びたくなりますが、毎年なんとか切り抜けられるのは、家族のおかげ😊 そして、保護者の皆さまと話し合える、貴重な時間のおかげです✨

12月は毎年、全ての生徒さんの保護者の皆さまとの、懇談会を行います。 一人一人の生徒のみんなの成長をお伝えできる場であり、ご家庭での生徒のみんなの様子を伺える場であり、何より保護者の皆さまのお子さまへの愛🧡を感じられる場です。

いやもう、世間の親御さんたちにとって子どもを育てるというのは、一生責任を放棄できない、壮大で、苦しくて、重くて、でも感動にも溢れる、かけがえのない、命を懸けた大仕事なんですよ。 愛が深いからこそ、心配にもなるし、口うるさく叱ってしまうこともある。 そして、「あれでよかったのか？」「もっとこうすればよかったかも」と思い悩みながら、日々お子さまと向き合っていらっしゃるんです。

全部、尊い。

毎日毎日、本当にすごい事を成し遂げているんですよ、世間の親御さんたちは👏

ECCでのお勉強のことで、子どもたちにお小言を言わなければならない時は、私のせいにしておいてください。 「●●だって、先生が言うてたよ！」って私のことを使ってくれたら良いのです。 ま、教室では実際ガシガシいうてますし、私(笑)。

そして、親御さんにしかできない事があります。

「子どもたちの安全基地になる事」

なんだかんだで子どもたちも、外では気を張りながら過ごしています。 だからこそ、安全基地のご自宅では、愚痴や泣き言が出るかもしれない。 その時に「そうかー、しんどいんやなぁ。」と受け止める。 保護者の皆さまの、お子さまへの愛情全部使って、受け止めてあげてほしいのです。 親御さんは、何があっても100%お子さまの味方だということを、できれば言語化して伝えてあげてほしい。 それがあるだけで、子どもはまた勇気を振り絞って、外へ行けますから。

・・・ 常日頃から思っている事、懇談会でよくお伝えする事を今日は書く！と思って書いてみましたが、特に合わせる写真ないやん💦 ということで、もう恒例と言ってよい、全然関係ないやつ🙃

私、しっぽくうどんがめちゃくちゃ好きで、なんなら一年中食べたい。 この季節を、しっぽくのためだけに待ちわびてます。 冬になったら、大体どこ行ってもしっぽくを頂くのですが、勝手に世界一うまいと思っているしっぽくうどんの写真をどうぞ。
