“go ahead and count that for me, yeah?” he commands dryly, waiting for you to comply. you sniffle, taking everything in, regretting your actions and he speaks again. “no really because i can sit here all day and wait or i can just keep slapping your ass until you speak, so which is it?” he barks out coldly.

“one!” you answer.

A Day Off

A quick little scenario of what the team does on a day off.

Scout raced through the main area of the base, chasing after a ball Engineer had thrown. They were playing catch. The game was oddly sentimental the first few times for 2 large reasons. 1. He'd never played with a father figure before. Unless you count his big brothers, but he knew they weren't his dad. Speaking of, the second large reason was he'd only ever played with his brother and friends back home. He missed home. Now, though, as they played, Scout felt better than ever. Today was an off day, something to do with the other team's Spy having off base 'business' to attend to. He was too small to care.

Pyro and Snipper were playing tug a rope with their hands in the corner. Sniper had tried multiple times to play with his teeth, but Medic put a stop to it the minute it started. Medic always said, "You'll hurt your teeth, pup.". Sniper still tried to tug with his teeth occasionally. Demo and Soldier were playing with Soldier's blocks and toy soldiers. Heavy was reading a book and chatting quietly with Spy. Things were peaceful for once.

Spy and Engineer slipped away eventually to grab some lunch for everyone. Scout, without a caregiver to play catch with, joined soilder to play blocks. Demo took his chance to grab a drink of water. Sniper took a break for water, too. Pyro, feeling warm from all the playing, sat on the floor to cool off.

"Lunch!" Engineer cheered. He wasn't surprised to see that the kiddos' day of playing had left them a little worn out. Spy checked his watch and confirmed that it was about nap time for the younger ones. Scout and Sniper were a bit older than Soilder and Pyro today. It wasn't unusual that Sniper was a bit older, but it was a little odd for Scout not to be as young as he normally is.

Sniper and Scout each got 1 sandwich, 4 strawberries, an orange, and a sippy cup full of juice. Except Sniper really got 2 oranges, and Scout got double the amount of strawberries. They traded because Sniper doesn't care for strawberries. Soldier and Pyro got sliced banana, blueberry yogurt, cheese puffs, and some shredded turkey. The younger ones also got a bottle of milk. Pyro like caramel and Soilder liked plain.

Engineer fed Pyro in a separate room for Pyro's privacy, of course. Pyro still didn't eat around anyone the other yet. They didn't think he ever would. Nobody minded, though. They made accommodations where they could. The only person who could feed Pyro was Engineer. Sometimes, it made Scout a little jealous, but one of the other caregivers swooped in to feed him. Today, though, Scout fed himself.

After meal time, the regressors were settled down for a nap. Each one of them was tucked in and cozy. Engineer was reading the story while Heavy rocked Scout gently. Medic was washing Snipers chewy (he dropped it on the floor) so he could nap with it. LT. Bites was cuddled into Soldier's side. Pyro was spread out with his many stuffed unicorns. As the regressors drifted to sleep, everything was calm. They all loved days off.

Leon hands grip your hips but he only helps you rock yourself against him in a way that makes you whine and pant against his skin. Distantly, you feel his nose press against your neck and breathe in your own scent. He growls and you whine, tilting your head so he can nip and lick at your soft skin.

With a low growl, Leon pries himself away from you even as you chase after the pleasurable feeling coursing through your body.

Fischl was drawing a princess like character, that seemed to look like her, and Bennett was leaning forward on the table, smiling to himself. They had, had a pretty good day so far, though, Razor looked a little frazzled. Razor was swaying a little, unable to stay still. Maybe hyper? Bennett noticed the hyperness of Razor, he knew it all too well by now.

“Razor? Are you okay?” Bennett gently asked Razor, Razor can get easily overwhelmed by conversation—and people in general. Razor looked to Bennett, and seemed to process the question. Razor gave a little nod, and then pointed at the window. “…You… wanna play outside?” Bennett asked, trying to understand the gestures. Razor nodded, but then pointed at the story book he had picked out.

“Book, read, there” Razor said, in a whisper-yelly voice, pointed to the outdoors. Fischl looked up from her drawing by now, listening.

“Can I play too?” Fischl had been regressed for a while now, but it wasn’t obvious until she started to speak up. Bennett leaned back in his chair a bit, stretching, and then sitting normally again.

“Sure, why not?” He suggested, with his usual optimistic grin. Bennett picked up Razor's book, and Fischl's coloring supplies, stuffing it in his bag, and then offered his hand to Razor. Razor held Bennett's hand, staying at his side, looking at everything around him. Whenever he regresses, his attention is grabbed by the things around him much more.

The three had walked outside, and sat by the tree at windrise—Razor's favorite spot. They spent the next few hours hanging out there, playing, and reading their story books. By the end of it, the little ones had already wore them selves out. Razor asleep curled up by Bennett, Fischl, asleep on her stomach, around her coloring supplies. And Oz, making sure everyone was alright… even Bennett had fallen asleep…

Sure! Consider yourself started. Posting an ask here with your blog identity unmasked is already more than many of us had the nerve to do when we started out, and since you've had exposure to real-life kink in an event setting, you're in a good spot to scope out your scene and start engaging.

If you attended local events and saw people or activities that you clicked with or were drawn to, follow up on those - take the plunge and make contact. This can be a daunting task, but you already know that this gig is not for the timid, so step out!

Are there organized activities going on in your community or region? Check the usual online places and kink sites (Facebook - yes, the dinosaur site - is a solid kink event listing resource), and check out the flyers and bulletin boards in your local LGBTQ+ spots, see what aligns with your interests.

Pretty straightforward, right? But there's more! Information is great to have, but showing up is the money shot, so to speak 😈

In Pup Play, one of the hardest things to do is the first thing: getting yourself down to the ground. Breaking the 4-legged barrier. Dang, it was hard to do in public - especially with friends looking on - and this was 35 years ago when such displays were unheard of! But once I braved my way through it, I was hitting the ground and barking up a storm in every gay bar, kink event, street fair and open mike poetry slam in the West. (It helps if you're a giant HAM like me, but not required 🙂)

So that's really my best advice to you: Hit the ground. Take the dive off the cliff, be your best bravest self and show up for the gigs!
