hey any ffxiv fans wanna help me with something? im trying to figure out if anyone in-game ever acknowledges the fae folks lack of gender outside of their pronouns. like a quick mention of "oh they have no gender btw" or something.

Things I Loved About Fleabag (2016):

The careful balance of spiralling and sincerity that keeps you rooting for resolution and relief, despite the show intentionally framing itself around grief

The way that it is clear based on the way that they talk about her that Fleabag is a great deal like her mother (her off-colour jokes, her charisma, even hints of difficult friendships through the Godmother) but they don't have anyone make that comparison until the last episode of S2, with, "You are the way you are because of [your mother]" and the look of surprise on Fleabag's face when she hears it

"Don't make me an optimist; you will ruin my life," being such a telling line, because as you fall in love with the Priest, and Fleabag, you want to believe that things will work themselves out

The love in Claire's line to Fleabag, "The only person I'd run through an airport for is you," and the delightful contrary optimism of her deciding to go to the airport anyway

The revelation that Boo had offered to take Fleabag's love for her mother, intertwining both losses

The way that the Priest not only breaks through the carefully constructed narrative relationship that Fleabag has with the viewer, but also himself directly looks toward the audience on a separate beat as he tries to understand her more ("You don't like answering questions, do you?")

The entire sequence of the last few scenes, "Being a romantic takes a hell of a lot of hope," to "I love you." "It'll pass," to Fleabag walking around with a statue that is, in some ways now, a physical representation of the love she is carrying around. Because while the show is about grief, and love, it doesn't feel like it is asking you to overcome those things, but to learn to live with them while moving forward

I regret to inform you all... I made another thing. <3 I tried to avoid some of the questions from my template, but there might be some overlap of the more basic questions that felt weird not to include. (I tried so many times for this list to continue the numbers instead of breaking them up and starting over but I've finally given up I'm so sorry, so clarify by section when asking <3)

THE ARISEN - 

Whether they remember or not, where are they from? 

What is their favorite and least favorite part of being the Arisen?

Do they ever get their memory back; if they do, does that change how they interact with the narrative, and if they don’t how do they feel about that loss?

THE PAWN - 

What is their inclination, and what about them (if anything) might set them apart from others of their inclination?

Do they act any differently around other Arisen across the Rift?

If they were infected with the Dragonsplague, are there any specific ways they would act differently? 

ARISEN & PAWN -

How would you describe their relationship?

For each of them - Who is their favorite and least favorite NPC?

What is a special or secret talent they each have?

Is there any topic they’ll avoid - romance, death, family, etc.?

What are they most afraid of? And what is their greatest hope, or dream? 

Do they have any particular quirks or habits? 

What are their least favorite enemies to fight?

What is their favorite: animal, color, flower?

Do they have any pet peeves? 

What is their preferred vocation and what drew them to it?

Are there any specific or unique items they carry with them?

What are their monikers, and do they have a special meaning or story behind them?

How do they both generally regard guest pawns? 

What do they bond most over?

Do they have a favorite place in the world; be it a town or a particular area or view they’re fond of?

What is the “silliest” order VS what is the “worst” order your Arisen has given your Pawn? (These things potentially don’t have to be separate.)

WORLD & STORY -

Do they have any pre-existing relationships with any particular NPCs from before the start of the game? Has becoming the Arisen changed those relationships?

Which of the four residences is their most preferred, and is there a particular reason why? Do you have any headcanons about the layout and how it’s decorated? Or: Do they have alternative living quarters (a family home, sleeping at inns all the time, etc.)?

Regardless of whether you adhere to the in-game counter or not, how long do you think their journey took? Did they book it with a sense of urgency, or did things get drawn out - and why? 

Whether they’d still be together or separate - What kind of life would they be living if they were not Arisen and Pawn, but NPCs?

What does the ending and its aftermath look like for them?

öö.. for example about my own UMK performance I remember that about 1,5 weeks before the competition we redid half of it completely, like we had to practice new choreo and everything. I was like.. "ei jumalauta..."

(int. what did you have to redo?) from the part "nyt lähden tanssimaan", from the first singing part, from there we erased everything, and for half an hour we wondered with the UMK team what are we going to do, I was insanely stressed, thinking now everything is over. But then I got some idea, and accidentally did all these moves, and threw in the ideas for "possujuna" and "letkajenkka" (human centipide & idk what letkajenkka is in english, but the bit where they all stand together and hold on to the person in front of them). And then as a team we used those, (int. they were your ideas?) Yes, they were my ideas, I brought those things into it, but they figured out at which points they would happen. But I said I want possujuna, then letkajenkka, and I had the CCC moves I did with my hand, they were all accidents.

(So at first they said everything has to be changed, but then after that you came up with the ideas? I thought they wanted to change them because they knew what they wanted, but instead you came up with everything afterwards?)

What maybe happened was that at first I was dancing with a lot of style, yknow, but then even I was like I'm Käärijä, I'm not a very stylistic dude. Then the whole team watched it like this is not working, gotta rethink the whole thing. then they told me, go on stage, we gotta find something new (Erika: a way of moving that suits you), they told me, do what you want to do. We are gonna watch you do it. They all watched me with the song on repeat, and I just had to come up with something, and then I did some of those things and they were like "that's good! that's good! excellent!" and then we started picking stuff out from that, and that's how it all happened, the whole thing, the dance moves and possujuna and such legends.
