I've been wanting to do fanart for them for such a long time now but I'm a nervous internet person so I don't show myself much or know what to say or how it's okay to interact. HALF THE TIME I DONT EVEN DARE REPOST AND ITS KILLING ME BECAUSE I LVOE THIS SERIES SO MUCH I CRY, as I'm sure everyone can relate.

Raph had never really been my favorite, but lately everything about him makes me so soft and with cass's newest updates? There was no way I could just sit still. It was enough to draw me out of my "too scared to post"-cave and I'm glad.

Also currently saving to buy a new iPad cause mine is usable no more, so I'm borrowing my brother's. The pain of not being able to draw when I want wherever I want has never been greater. I do have some things I wanna show though so idk maybe 🤲

oh yeah someone on reddit suggested that the reason helena got gemma's name wrong is to test if she was talking to outie!mark or innie!mark

helena was with innie!mark on the severed floor while he was searching for ms casey. she doesn't know if innie!mark knows gemma's name. she knows he knows that's his outie's wife but he exclusively calls her ms casey.

by calling her the wrong name to mark's face, she can get info on which mark she's speaking to.

ok if cold harbor is actually gemma and mark is refining her so that lumon can create a permanent innie… what if he finds her and it turns out gemma really is gone? what if ms casey really is all that’s left? would mark still want to / try to free her? if gemma is really gone, will outie mark still fight for her in the same way? how would him being reintegrated affect this? i think thematically this would work well as a conclusion - many of the characters believe their innies to be part of themselves, but the show tells them over and over that the innies and outies are separate people. if this is the case, and if gemma is really gone, then surely ms casey has every right to life and freedom?

reading Gemma as autistic and Ms. Casey as someone who's never learned how to mask or "act normal" and has barely even had a chance to interact with other people enough to learn the kind of social cues that neurotypical people seem to know more instinctively. because I can.

Why the group post? The shows are no longer interconnected, become separated, They used to acknowledge each other's events and have random social appearances at Molly, but not anymore. And the linking characters and stories are gone .

Tbh I’m bummed that Ms. Casey is presumably gone for good. Like idk with the way they were emphasizing that the innies deserve to be treated as their own people with their own lives, they sure didn’t hesitate to just immediately end her existence without second thought. Like. She had a life of her own! Just because she was given less time than the rest of the innies to experience it doesn’t mean it had less value!!

Sworn to Devotion: Chapter 4 - Part 2

Leo blinks as Cassandra disappears into the trees, his mind trailing behind reality.

After a few seconds, it finally catches up. “...Ooookaaaay.”

He turns around and heads back to the mountain path. His brother and the princess are still missing, and unlike Cassandra he can’t waste time goofing around in a forest.

He reaches the road and finds his loyal steed nibbling on some clover that managed to grow in the terrain. After offering his horse a more filling snack of oats, Leo swings back on the saddle and resumes his search.

A couple more hours pass with no sign of them. Or of anyone. He hasn’t encountered any search party, traveler, or merchant. It’s just been Leo, his thoughts, and his trusty steed.

However, as he rounds a bend in the path, he notices two figures in the distance. They’re too far away for Leo to make them out, but he still sits up straight and urges his horse to trot faster.

The two figures suddenly stop, pausing for only a few seconds before darting into the forest. Leo’s brow furrows and he nudges his horses into a gallop, dust flying behind them as they race to the spot where the mysterious duo disappeared.

Leo slows his horse down and hops off, drawing his odachi as soon as his feet touch the ground. He slowly creeps into the forest, each step cautious as his eyes scan his surroundings.

A disturbance in the leaf litter catches his attention, and he briefly stops to analyze the trail. He narrows his eyes—the tracks are a strange mixture of sloppy and discrete.

Leo tightens his grip on his sword and follows the trail, keeping his breath quiet and steady. Every muscle in his body is as tight as a coiled, compressed spring, waiting for the right moment to unleash all the pent-up energy.

He follows the tracks until they abruptly end, with no indication as to what happened to the mysterious duo. Leo looks around, searching high and low for any sign of disturbance.

Nothing.

But they can’t be too far away.

The blue-clad knight narrows his eyes and bites his lip. He doesn’t relax, remaining completely still as he listens to the forest around him. Aside from a few birds chirping in the distance, it’s quiet.

The sound of a snapping twig has Leo reacting before he even processes the noise, whipping around at lightning speed. His odachi collides with a familiar titanium bō, and the blue-clad knight gasps.

“Donnie?!”

Both twins disengage, drawing their weapons back and taking a moment to breathe.

“Jeez, dude. I thought I was about to get got.” Leo resheathes his sword before catching his brother off-guard with a bone-crushing hug. “Thank goodness you’re alive!”

“G-ack! Ahem, well, it’s good to know we weren’t being pursued by someone who meant us harm.” Donnie returns the hug, albeit awkwardly. “We’ve had too many close calls.”

Leo pulls back from the embrace. “Right! The princess! Where–”

“Right here!” Princess April emerges from her hiding spot behind a hollow tree, dusting herself off as she approaches.

Leo quickly bows. “It’s good to see that you’re alright, Your Highness.” He stands up straight again, a mischievous grin on his face. “I hope my brother here didn’t bore you too much with a monologue of his inventions.”

Donnie squawks, glaring at his brother with righteous rage before April interrupts him with a smile. “Actually, Donnie’s tech sounds impressive. I’ll have to see if Prince Raphael can give me a tour of his lab the next time I visit.”

Leo blinks, mildly shocked that she called his brother by his nickname. Without any honorifics.

Oblivious to what she just said, April moves past the brothers, motioning them to follow. “Though my father’s probably having a conniption over my absence, so we better get going. Sir Leonardo, do you have a horse? My legs are killing me.”

“Yes, Princess!” Leo confirms as he jogs to catch up with her, Donnie following. “He’s yours as soon as we get back.”

“Woohoo!” April exclaims, throwing her arms up in celebration. 

As they walk back to the path, Leo’s able to take in more of April’s appearance. The dress she was wearing the day prior is completely missing its skirt, instead wearing a pair of black pants. She also has on a pair of boots that are too big for her, and a strange green bat is strapped to her back.

Strange. 

Curiosity gets the better of Leo as leans over and whispers to Donnie… >> “What happened to her dress?” >> “Where did the green bat come from?” >> “So... she's calling you Donnie?”

Rundown of the crew's reactions.

Mikey: plotting revenge.

Casey and Mini-tello: Kraang flashbacks. Casey blocked the slime with his cloak. That's why he's dry. Once they calm down, they'll pretend nothing happened, but Mini-tello will be doing everything he can to keep from lecturing you guys.

Raphael: Shocked, slightly betrayed, and he'll be embarrassed later.

Leo: impressed! He's still plotting revenge though.

Donnie: Grossed out and struggling with sensory issues. :( He will plot revenge when he's okay again.

you are sooo rightttt arghrgrhhh ja’marr is so!!! health conscious!!! talked about it a bit here on how ja'marr takes note of people's health and injuries so seriously and pushes them to get healthy over playing through their injuries :(((

he cares soooo deeply for people he keeps close and tee had all those deep tissue injuries that kept him back from playing with ja’marr :(( he’s gotta be vibrating with the need to mother hen the ever living shit out of tee and mentions his usual clinic but like forcefully because he can’t be casual about it and tee's like ok sure and ja’marr drags him to her like a pup trying to keep their favorite toy safe asking their owner to stitch up their ripped stuffing 💔💔💔

like imagining ja'marr being all fussy and pushy about tee going to her, who he knows and trusts and has seen actual results from in himself so he feels comfortable and confident in actually getting tee to do a session with her, and tee being exasperated at this loud little shit who would not shut up about him getting better so he goes partly because he trusts ja'marr and that he has his best interest at heart and he knows that the rehab session would be good for him but also in other part just to shut and soothe ja'marr up lmao.

heres one of their sessions that's like my favorite because wow ja'marr really answered the door like that huh. like loooook at him arhrghrgrrhhrh..........legs swinging listening to her in the beginning </3 and then fighting with her on whose nails are longer boy enough 😭 (insane ass size difference btw begging you all to pause at 1:19)

AND WOW OKAY SO i assumed this before but like wasn't 100% sure but -> pretty sure this is a home visit right and that background's literally where tee did his session SO. what I'm saying is. tee did his session at ja'marr's place. at the same day probably so when one was being metaphorically smushed to pieces and stabbed with tiny little needles the other was sitting on the couch next to them probably yapping endlessly trying to make them laugh and getting yelled at by dr. ashley to keep their mouth shut.

just. ja'marr had added tee to his usual sessions </3 probably already had a usual date and time set up for himself for his weekly (?) resets and asked if she could add tee to her schedule so he can do his own rehab session and that kind of fucks me up deep inside because what do you mean he made tee do his usual rehab with him so tee would be healthier....what do you mean..........what do you meannnnnnn

I think writing Donnie with nuance is hilarious just personally. Guy will tell you that he'll annihilate you so thoroughly they won't be able to find MOLECULAR evidence of your existence if you hurt his family and then turn around and cry for ten straight minutes when he stubs his toe on something

asks that make me miss writing CVD (because i think that's the closest thing ive written to canon donnie characterization consistently? in both cu and cc he's actively fucked up)... he acts so confident and capable around casey but when you actually get into his internal monologue he is the most neurotic and anxious motherfucker you have ever seen. always think about casey running off because he's overstimulated and donnie freaking out because he didnt put a tracker on him, and then next chapter its just casually dropped that he just DID right after lol
