DATV — Tarquin's Battle Robes

Have another Veilguard armour layers breakdown today, with Tarquin! As requested by Cypher! 💜 He's wearing Battle Robes. I used the Tunic Noir and the cloak-less version of this same outfit to help me figure out the layers!

Willow, my choya mascot! A small spider plant choya with stubby spines. Is the product of a ceramic artist ignoring the advice of “How to Grow a Choya”. Lives indoors and likes to swap between a number of decorated pots. Has a calm and kind nature. Learned how to paint and understands the common tongue of Tyria, but can only natter, dance, and draw in response.

Transformers mimicking plants would be even more freaky but I love it. You notice this weirdly metallic bush a few dozen feet away. It rustles invitingly. You have fallen for the trap as your curiosity draws you close. You are ensnared.

Translated a bunch of pages from these characters design references. Tried to keep some visual integrity to them by writing with a pencil brush instead of just typing it haha I wanted to match the vibes i guess? These won't be perfect translations but good enough and I hope they help.

If anyone wants the others translated or if they find more please reblog and add them and I'll annotate them in english for you!

(Note I had some trouble with the innocent light yagami translation as it uses the character for 'white' but It's flat [no shadows] so definitely not referring to white lighting or anything. Did some research and the character for white (白) is police slang for innocent/clean record sometimes, so I assume they meant innocent light yagami reference 3)
