I love the headcanon that Cybertronians flare their armour when feeling angry or threatened, but it doesn’t make much practical sense - surely raising it away from their protoform leaves them vulnerable to attack?

so may I suggest that Cybertronian threat displays have two phases: the armour-flaring intimidation phase, followed by the actively threatening I'm-literally-about-to-attack-you-now phase where all their armour clamps down at once. It's loud, unmistakable, and a clear sign that shit's about to get violent if you don't back off

OF COURSE!! My favorites.... I mean I totally love them all equally :) I wrote them with a Human!Reader (that's all i write but i just wanted to calrify)!

Optimus Prime:

My love... probably the most normal of them honestly

Isn't like super duper outwardly romantic when others are around. He isn't too fond of PDA. BUT he still shows affection in lowkey ways.

Like, he will gently nudge you if you seem anxious or off in general, to get your attention and when you let him know you're ok he gives you a slight nod and continues on with his conversation.

It's really no secret, because him crouching down and his giant hand descending from his side and nudging you is not very subtle.

He is way more protective over you than any other human. Will not let anything harm you. And if something does, nothing will get in his way to help/save you.

LOVES (when it's just the two of you) for you to gently hold his face in your tiny (compared to him) hands! Double points if you gently bonk your forehead against his.

If you are not feeling it, having a bad day, what have you, he will take you for a ride to calm down. his voice is so soothing! Sometimes he'll even talk to you until you fall asleep if that is what you need.

You two became an 'item' mostly because you had made offhanded comment to Cade about Optimus being attractive in a way and Cade shut that shit down immediately but Optimus heard. It was too late, Cade has to deal with this now...

Literally so sweet! Will kill for you!

Ironhide:

Oh my... definitely the least normal (in an endearing way).

Doesn't mind/completely understand PDA honestly. Like, you wanna grab him and nuzzle his face? Please do. He will be forever grateful.

He definitely wants to show you off, he is so proud of you!! He also needs everyone to know you are taken :)

Like he will do little things to make sure the others know he is with you, like bringing you towards him when someone gets a little too close.

Wants you close to him at all times, so he knows you're safe.

If anyone threatens you in any capacity (even if its sarcasm from a close friend) his arm is around you, guarding you, while he points a gun at the one threatening you. It takes a minute to calm him down.

If you are like visibly upset/anxious/not having it, he is very vocal about pulling you out of the situation. Has zero problems taking you away in the middle of a conversation.

Will literally go into alt mode and just... drive away with you. Your friends don't like that too much.

Ironhide definitely was weird about his feelings at first. Him liking a human? No thank you. Definitely tried to push the feelings away, until getting tired and telling you how he felt.

When you lit up and said you felt the same? Oh he was over the moon!

Very protective and secretly very sweet! Will also kill for you!

Ratchet:

My sweet cinnamon bun....

Will literally die for your hugs!! Please just wrap your arms around his neck when he bends down and hug him so tight!

Doesn't mind PDA (in a sense of like hugging and being sweet) but does get very flustered!!

Call him any pet name (honey, dear, etc.) and he will combust. If he could blush, he definitely would. Really wanna make him weak in the knees? Call him 'My love.'

Ratchet would worry about you constantly honestly. Waaay more than anyone else.

I mean, you're just a human! You're squishy and small. There is a lot to worry about!

He realized he liked you because he was so worried for you, then he grew even more worried!

He accidently confessed his feelings for you when rambling about how worried he had been for you, and when you go wide eyed he is retracting everything and ready to run away.

When you reassure him and tell him you like him too? He is even more likely to combust.

Is always wanting to check in on you, and learns very quickly what upsets you and what soothes you. he is very attentive.

So fucking sweet and will die for you!!

Megatron

Honestly probably doesn't even notice you're any different at first until you start zipping around

I would say that of the four he's the one that cares the least

That isn't to say he doesn't care at all, far from it! He's got more than a handful of schemes, plots, ploys, etc ready to use when the need should arise

Depending on how you fly and such, he might take your movements into consideration when it comes to his own flight or when training troops. The information gets passed on to Starscream for the latter, but he's still aware of it

He doesn't expect you to be able to keep up with him when he's flying, but he will commend the effort

He does expect your wings to be in peak condition; they're one of your defining features and something that he see as putting you above the rest of your species

If you're at all self conscious about your wings, he scoffs and tells you to take pride in what sets you apart. It's not great advice, but it's something

Soundwave

Enjoys running his fingers through your feathers if you'll let him

Despite being in a relationship, he's still got a job to do. If you're up for it, he'll ask you to do recon or survey areas that need to be scouted in a more subtle way

He's not above using your humanity for the benefit of the Decepticons, but he wouldn't knowingly put you in harms way

Of the four, he's got the easiest time helping you groom your wings due to how thin his digits are

He draws comparisons between you and Laserbeak at times, though he does keep those thoughts to himself

Shockwave

Dude has got plans and ploys in place to test things and ideas

At times it might feel like you're more an experiment than a partner

He's always more than happy to run tests on how far you can fly and how fast, how much weight you can carry and for how long/far

He's also rather interested in your biology, pulling up diagrams of a typical human body and comparing it to yours, trying to figure out why you're different

It might be hard to notice, but he's more careful when it comes to tests. It's one of the few ways he has to show he does actually care about you, and doesn't want to see you hurt if it can be avoided

If there's something you want to train towards physically, you can count on him to come up with the most optimal training program possible

He finds it helpful to have you in the lab and having you zip around and collecting tools for him so he doesn't have to step away from his work

He understands the concept of keeping muscles strong, and makes sure you exercise enough if you're keeping him company in the lab

Knock Out

Dude makes sure you know how pretty your wings are

Makes sure you've got every product you'd ever need to keep them in top condition. Don't ask where he got them from tho

Schedules regular sessions where the two of you just preen and gossip

Also finds it super helpful that you can just fly up and reach the spots he can't and buff them out for him

Absolutely admires the strength you have in your wings. The idea that you have to actually flap them and have enough strength to get yourself off the ground is foreign to him as it's super different for Cybertronians

Not a fan of molting tbh. There's feathers everywhere and guh they're everywhere

Will still (reluctantly) help you deal with it tho

Knock Out makes sure you know he thinks that your wings make you much cooler than other people, and is not above making fun of the Autobots for having 'inferior' humans on their side

Transformers Bayverse Autobots x Human reader (Crush and Confession Headcanons)

"How would they react to themselves crushing on a human? And how would they confess?"

Characters: Bayverse Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, and Drift.

A/N: Just to make things clear, these are separated headcanons. GIFs does not belong to me, and credits go to the original creators (Some of them were found in Google). AND I'M GONNA CRY CAUSE THEY MAY SEEM OOC BECAUSE I HAVEN'T WATCHED THE MOVIES FOR  MONTHS-😭

Warnings: Potential Movie Spoilers (From 1-5), Maybe some parts for them can be short, Fluff, Mention of Fighting, Drift's past, and, Almost being decapitated, (Not towards reader), Cursing, and, Angst.

Optimus Prime;

•He's surprised with his feelings for you, but he'll be in a bit of denial and be hesitant at first. Thinking he's just way too emotionally attached to you.

•It's because Prime and his fellow Autobots are currently in war, and gaining potential feelings for you just isn't the right time for those kinds of things.

•Should he confess to you? No, it's going to make him look like an idiot in front of others. He has an image and reputation to hold as a Prime. Optimus will be looked at as weak, especially for the Decepticons if they do find out that he cares for a human more than he already should.

•Maybe hide his affections for you, hoping it would go away? Still no, it's going to bother him, if he really had the chance to be with you, and yet he threw it away?

•Yeah, Optimus will deeply regret his decisions if that does happen to him. He'll receive a feeling of a pang of hurt and have feelings of just wanting to turn back time to tell you his true emotions if he could be able to do so.

•So slowly over time, he finally decides to talk with you about his affections for you. In a place where you both can adore the beautiful starry night sky together.

•Optimus will tell you how he enjoyed your company and presence together and talks about amazing you are generally in everything, and when he gets to the point he nervously says,"In our time spent together, I find that I...love you."

•Are you shocked? Oh yes, Indeed you very are, like- Optimus mostly haves his emotions to not be in his way of leading and keeps them in control.

•And the fact Prime accepts he loves you? You're more than shocked, but you also tell him you feel the same way about him. Making Optimus feel relieved as if a heavy feeling on all his shoulders lifted away.

•When you and the Autobot leader get time together, you and him would just drive around the area to relax once in a while to have breaks from work or just talk to each other privately while Optimus gently holds you on his servo. <3

Ironhide;

•Is in so much denial, with his romantic feelings that he developed for you. That he may not talk to you for a while.

•Sure he's a badass weapon specialist who skillfully killed his enemies, but when it comes to this? Oh, Primus no- someone please send him back to Cybertron-

•Ironhide is not the best with his emotions and is not acclimated with them. So he chooses to hide them, 'cause he can be stubborn. Which is not helping him 🤦‍♀️

•But until Ratchet noticed how strange Ironhide is being when things are about you. He'd always ask if everything was alright with you, or when you need a ride, He always volunteers for you.

•And when Ratchet finds out that he likes you, and that he's hiding it? Well, Ironhide better be prepared for one long lecture on how he'll only make things worse for himself if he hides it from you.

•As time passes by, he finally decides to confess and ask you out. While you both are in a private place. So Mirage and Sideswipe won't be able to tease him-

•While confessing, Ironhide will stutter a lot. Again, it's because he's not used to having feelings like this.

•So please be patient with him when he confesses his feelings for you alright? Are you surprised? Oh hell yeah you are- You're not expecting this from the weapon specialist, who's almost grumpy all the time.

•Then, when you tell him you also feel the same way for him, he's stunned- he doesn't expect you to like him back, but he feels glad that you do.

•And when you both get free time together, he'd teach you how to fight or use guns so that you can defend yourself, or either just relax in each other's presence while you both cuddle when you two feel like it. <3 (Either in Holoform or Mass displacement, but don't worry he'll be gentle and careful as he can for you <3)

Ratchet;

•Another one who's in denial, when he feels himself falling for you? Yeah no, he's not amused of himself.

•He can't even believe himself when he finds out his feelings for you. This isn't like him at all. If Optimus finds out, Ratchet knows that he won't judge him, it'll just look odd to him.

•Just like Ironhide, he can be stubborn at times, so he'll keep away his feelings at first. Thinking that it's the best option for him so that it won't bother him that much.

•But of course, it ends up killing him. When he works, and then someone mentions you, he can't focus properly because just a simple word of you makes him already aware of how you are.

•"Is everything alright with you? Are you injured or sick? Are you captured by the Decepticons?" Is what would probably be in his helm, gaining a feeling of wanting to protect you.

•And will be more protective over you, he'll also be a mother hen if you get wounded. Even if it's not serious, Ratchet will still scold you either way.

•The more time passes by, Ratchet decides to tell you how he has a crush on you and has loved you for a very long time. Both of you are together alone in his medbay.

•Are you surprised? Yeah, you are- You're not expecting him to like you in a romantic way. But you accept his confession, telling him that you like him in the same way as well.

•Which makes him quiet and very surprised than you are, of your reply. He wasn't assuming that you like him back, due to you being one of the closest people he cares for, but he feels calm and warm, knowing that you love him too.

•On how you two would spend time together, you would just talk privately to each other, or assist him while he works, in that way maybe when he's not occupied thanks to your help on his work, he can just be with you, already feeling happy that you're with him alone with no distractions. <3

Drift;

•Another surprised mech when he finds out that the likes you in a romantic way, and would like you to become his significant other.

•When he's alone, he feels himself thinking about you. Sometimes he'd get distracted from meditating just by thinking about you.

•One time, Crosshairs caught Drift being distracted from his meditation, he teased him for being unfocused, and nearly got decapitated from it-

•Despite how Drift has a crush on you, he can still maintain his calm and neutral expression towards you. It seems quite impressive.

•However, a small part of him thinks that he's unworthy to be with you. After everything that he has done in the past.

•Sure, he may have proved himself as an Autobot and has earned redemption. But that doesn't change the fact that he took the lives of bots. He still feels guilty about it.

•As days and nights pass, he confesses his feelings for you through reading a short yet, sweet poem or haiku about you. It described how a gorgeous and alluring person you can be with a few compliments. Making you feel flustered.

•Are you surprised by his confession? You very are. He keeps his usual expression toward you and now, he tells you that likes you romantically?

•You're shocked but you happily accept his feelings for you, making the Ex-Decepticon feel delighted in a good way.

•Having free time together, is just by just relaxing with each other, maybe by snuggling together if both you and him wants to do it. Or he'll teach you how to meditate and write haikus and poems. Even if your writings are short, Drift will still praise you and says that your effort is wonderful. <3

their favorite parts of humanity . . (autobots)

optimus loves the way humans can work together, the beauty in how groups of strangers can all be united under causes that they are passionate about.

although ratchet doesn't feel the most positively towards some aspects of humanity, he does admire their compassion and willingness to help others, even at the risk of their own lives.

if bumblebee had to choose a favorite part, he would probably say entertainment. he likes how humans can make almost anything exciting, and he also loves the scenery on long drives.

above all, bulkhead loves the friends and family he's made along the way. other than that, he has a big appreciation for media and music (mostly due to miko sharing it with him)

arcee, like optimus, admires the teamwork and bravery she's witnessed in humans. she finds it admirable how accepting humans are, even to bots like them.

you might have guessed this, but smokescreen's favorite aspects of Earth life and humanity is all the action & excitement that humans seem to enjoy. (he even learned what "cancel culture" was /hj)

i think it would be hard for wheeljack to pick a favorite part of humanity. he enjoys their determination, and he also likes some of human's inventions- even if cybertron is much more advanced.

Optimus Prime and his size kink.

(for purposes I'll mostly refer to you as our tiny cybertronian)

Whether you are a human or one of his own kind, you're smaller than him and he fucking loves it. He may be a Prime but alone with you in his room he has you all to himself.

Running his servos over your plated metal and feeling the grooves of warmth and wires underneath the small hooks. Hooked plating where he can pull you back subtly and into his own frame, feeling your small body pressed into his and his hands feeling the sensitive cabling that makes you shiver.

Or getting your soft, pliable skin gently between his servos. Feeling the warmth of how he handles you, able to tug you and push you gently. Of course he'd never aim to harm you but feeling you unable to escape his grasp makes him feel so hot under his own metal.

"Easy Sweetspark," he'll whisper low against your ear so no one could hear, his servos pressing you against him.

When alone in the berthroom with him Optimus will let his walls down enough. Leaning down to kiss your audial fins or hold you securely in his arms.

He'll groan, if he's desperate, which doesn't happen too often he can't keep himself controlled; he'll rut himself against your back.

There's something that makes him tick about feeling his hot plating grinding against your spine or along the dip of your ass.

Hot steam radiating off him as he keeps you close to him.

Don't even get him started on the bulge. Fuck, he's glad you can buff yourself out because he won't go easy once he gets his spike inside you. He loves to feel his spike driving inside you, hearing the pangs of your metal on his. Feeling the metal of your abdomen and stomach shifting just slightly because his spike is so big for you.

Making you bulge and moan desperately for him to go a little slower. But it only gives him time to look down on his angel, seeing his spike pressing into your armor and denting it out. And yet you still take it.

"Look at you Sweetspark... You take it so well for me. So good..." He'll whisper, groaning from deep in his chest, remaining still with his servos clamped on your hips, feeling your weight easily manipulated in his arms.

You're so small you barely move as he pushes you up and down his spike. He loves how he can press you into the wall and have his back completely shielding you while his hips pound deep into you.

The way you turn into a moaning puddle and your circuits fry from his stretching you and manhandling you.

How his digits slip into your mouth to keep you silent or his servo wrapping around your throat, just enough he can keep you quiet so the others don't hear.

He loves when you get ambitious. Despite his size, you always drool over his spike, taking as much as you can in your intake, choking on it and drooling over the head.

Optimus loves it. Nearly loses his composure every time seeing you get so sloppy with his spike. Lubing it up so it can make the same tight stretch as always to fill your small valve.

The way you go limp in his arms... He loves your size. He wouldn't change you any way you are, and You're just perfect for him.

A TFP Bumblebee Backstory Head canon

Warning: A bit dark

TFP Bumblebee is the most traumatized Bee out of all the Bumblebees in my opinion, due to the fact he was stated the last generation to be created before the loss of the Allspark. He had to wear the Autobot badge for survival meaning he never had a childhood outside of war. 'Earth was a far cry from the ravaged wasteland of his birth, and Bumblebee adapted to his new home faster than any of his fellow Autobots. ' Meaning Bumblebee was born during the already destroyed city of Iacon and never saw Cybertron without ruins/crumbling skyscrapers.

During the battle at Tyger Pax, in canon Bumblebee was alone. However it wouldn't make any sense for Bumblebee to be alone there, since he was meant to act as bait for Megatron and his Decepticons. Bumblebee would of had a small team made from friends made up of 'the last generation'. Bumblebee being the leader of that team would be forced to watch his teammates be slaughter and torture every time he didn't answer Megatron, then had his voice box torn out. We know from the WFC that Autobots were on the losing side and wouldn't have enough materials to repair Bumblebee, however WFC Bumblebee is a minibot and TFP Bumblebee is not but a regular size cybertronian. Meaning Bumblebee didn't just had his voice box torn, his whole body was torn in pieces so Ratchet and the other medics had no choice but to rebuilt Bumblebee a whole new body using his former teammates remains. Due to the fact TFP Bumblebee doesn't have horns and which is why Bumblebee is so traumatized about taking leadership in Predacon Rising.

The way Arcee mentions, 'You have your voice back, now is not the time to go radio silent' implies Bumblebee not only used to a leaded a team but was very good at it. How leading others easily comes to Bumblebee but he has been unable to move on or take command ever since Tyger Pax. Which is why losing his voice meant so much for Bumblebee. It's a reminder of how much Bumblebee failed to keep his team members safe.

Irrational Fears

Earth is absolutely terrifying, a fact that both Autobots and Decepticons can attest to.

Megatron

Despite being so big and tough, there is one thing about the earth that just scares the scrap out of Megatron.

He does not really fear what lurks within earth's biggest bodies of water, no, he fears the bodies of water themselves.

He never needed to learn to swim since Cybertron didn't exactly have huge bodies of anything resembling liquid near the surface beside the occasional acid pool.

And the safe liquids that existed on Cybertron were far denser than earth's liquids, often being thick enough to almost be a paste, posing little issues for those who got stuck in them besides some sticky residue being left on their armor afterward.

As such arriving on earth and falling into the ocean for the first time was rather traumatizing.

His usual method of handling being in liquid did absolutely nothing for him since water is not nearly as dense as what Megatron is familiar with.

He sank like a rock and was left at the bottom of the fragging ocean in the dark with no clear way to get out besides walking to the surface since transforming or ground bridging out would cause more trouble than it was worth.

He was irritated but fine with it at first, after all, no organic thing in the waters could really do him any harm.

But the ominous noises, the random currents which threw his sensors into overdrive, the extreme water pressure, and the rather freaky things passing by him as he traveled back to land just... traumatized him in a way he couldn't really describe.

The ocean threw Megatron off, and since then he has sworn off going near the Unmaker-cursed liquid pools when possible.

Optimus

Surprisingly Optimus's worst fear that originated on earth was not of natural disasters or anything of the sort, no, his fear is of the roads, or more specifically, the people driving on the roads.

Optimus is a textbook driver and obeys every road law to the letter, as such most human drivers scare him half to death.

American drivers are a melting pot of every form of insanity, with customs from all over the world resulting in the most confusing road culture imaginable.

Poor Optimus can't make heads or tails of it and often finds himself bewildered when other drivers honk or scream obscenities at him for following the rules.

Not only that but Americans are freaking crazy drivers.

Optimus has gotten hit, crashed into, pushed off the road, and forced to swerve to save some poor idiotic soul far more times than he will ever be comfortable admitting.

When it happens he panics. After all, the human vehicles have humans in them, and humans are squishy and easily damaged, unlike Cybertronians.

It isn't much better in other countries.

The Europeans are agonizingly slow drivers and park where ever their car will fit, trying to travel through British towns and cities on their tiny roads is an absolute nightmare.

For a vehicle of Optimus's size Europe, as a general rule, is one of the worst places to drive.

But oh boy, Europe has nothing on the Asian and middle eastern countries.

Driving there induces some of the worst anxiety Optimus has ever had since the war began, and that is saying something.

Random cattle on the roads, junk cars sputtering along looking like they are going to explode at any moment, the absurd amount of potholes, the fearless jaywalkers, and the maze-like structure of most roads make Optimus nearly have a panic attack every time he is forced to go driving in such areas.

He doesn't even want to get started on the state of the roads in Canada or the terrifying scrap he has seen while driving in Australia.

Starscream

Fragging Pigeons, Starscream simultaneously hates and fears them with a passion.

The mixed hatred and fear of the stupid birds began shortly after his arrival on earth when he flew through a flock of them.

The end result left him floundering as found himself covered in feathers, gore, and droppings.

Of course, it didn't end there.

The one time he fell into recharge out in the open he awoke to find himself covered in pigeons.

Even after they flew away his armor was still stained by lots of little gifts from the feathery fraggers.

The birds have also caused him to crash numerous times as he just isn't used to maneuvering around the organic things.

Trying to avoid the birds just causes him to lose his senses and flying through them is just messy.

On Cybertron, he could just fly straight through most small mech animals that had flight capabilities and both parties would be fine.

It is, of course, a completely different story on earth.

The never-ending harassment from the birds has led him to begin fearing them.

Where ever he goes there are pigeons.

America? Pigeons. Asia? More Pigeons. Africa? Yep, Pigeons there too. Europe? You guessed it, Pigeons.

They haunt his existence to the point where anything that remotely looks like a pigeon sends him in the opposite direction lest he gets turned into a perch, a fate almost as bad as death in his book.

Ratchet

Normally Ratchet would not consider himself the squeamish type, his particular line of work does not afford him that luxury.

However when it comes to dealing with the mess that is human anatomy he can't help but be a little hesitant.

Everything about them is just so screwed up.

Cybertronain biology while complex, is orderly and only requires energon to function.

Humans though, they are a whole different mess, one that Ratchet tends to find himself feeling a little dizzy when handling.

Their bodies need so much to work right, and the delicate balance sustaining them is so unnerving to him with the children hanging around.

How can humans teeter on the edge of rolling over and dying from nearly everything at any moment and still live so comfortably?

But their squishiness isn't the most traumatizing part for him, no, its the way human bodies fix themselves.

Blood is the most vital part of a human, but the way it is replaced bothers Ratchet on a spiritual level.

Humans make their blood themselves, all the organics do.

But instead of mining or consuming more when they run low like Cybertronians, they go and consume the matter of other creatures instead.

The whole process is somewhat terrifying when looked at too deeply and now Ratchet can only look at the humans in slight fear when they eat a burger or something similar.

How they can casually consume other creatures is beyond him, on Cybertron such behavior would make one a ghoul, mech animal, or Predacon.

It’s back again! What's that yandere! It has been a hot minute since I’ve done a headcanon, so bear with me. What type of yandere are: Shockwave, Soundwave, Bumblebee, Preceptor

Shockwave

Type: Possession Yandere 

Shockwave never liked to share his toys, only doing so if it helped the Decepticon cause.

He was also voted the most likely Decepticon to date his work over a hot bot

So it shouldn't surprise anyone that when he did find someone he took interest in, he’d want to keep them all to himself.

After all, you were his and anything he didn't deem necessary for the cause should stay in the safety of his lab right? All for his personal use.

He does find the emotions towards you illogical, to be so heavily invested in one being without a clear gain is illogical. 

The first logical to do is thing is to study you and he is not one to be discrete about it. From staring at you for long periods of time to directly asking you very personal questions.

When the questions do stop, you should start to be concerned.

It's a warning that he’s about to start experimenting on you. 

Luckily it’s not going to be fatal, as his main objective is to understand you. Like all his experiments and inventions, he needs to know what makes you tick and the best ways that you can be applied. 

This starts out as just ordinary vital taking but will progressively get more invasive the more he wants to know and yes it gets sexual very quickly. Unfortunately, he’s going to want to cut you open at some point to take a good look inside your inner workings, but don’t worry he’ll put you back together perfectly.

Don’t get the wrong idea though, he’s not above hurting you. 

If you so happen to not want to be his little experiment, he isn’t above training you through punishment. 

Don’t want to sit still while he pokes and prods you? That's fine he’ll just strap you down and leave you there for a day maybe two. Have a habit of wandering away? He’ll take a leg or two, but down worry, after he finishes studying them he’ll give them back maybe even build you some better ones if you behave.

Even though he can be very extreme in his actions, he still in a twisted way cares for you and won’t push you too far unless he knows you can take it.

Soundwave

Type: Overprotective Yandere 

Soundwave has always been very protective of the things he cares about, laserbeak and the Decepticon cause both of which he would and has killed for.

He’s not the type to just hand out such loyalty to anyone, so you have to be something special to gain his attention.

But once you have gained it you have it for life.

There's almost nothing he would not do for you especially if it is to keep you safe and by his side.

He'll know everything about you, even the things you’ve never told a soul. After all what good would it do either of you if he couldn’t plan for everything and anything? 

At first its starts with missions, they are the only danger you’d face and often he’d be going on them as well. It just makes sense and for a while, it’s enough to satisfy his need to protect you.

It's not enough, soon he’s found ways of working with you outside of missions. Even if it’s not technically dangerous, it’s almost certain that other Decepticons would not treat you well if he’s not there.

Pretty soon he can be found with you at any time. From missions to grabbing a cup of energon with you, you can be sure he’s always in the same room as you.

You could consider him a friend, a close one dare you say. So far what he’s done isn’t anything that would have you too concerned, he could be seen as somewhat over-eager to be friends. Unless you have reservations about being constantly around your boss 24/7.

If you aren't eager to be around him he will pull rank. It's not "trying to be friends" Soundwave, it's chief communications officer joint second-in-command Soundwave and he doesn't play around. 

He's going to make you listen to him.

He would never purposefully hurt you or put you in mortal danger but he's not above putting obstacles in your path. 

He'd make any time you don't spend with him a nightmare. Endless paperwork and inconveniences would be thrown your way and by a totally "random" coincidence would disappear as soon as Soundwave offers to help and you reluctantly accept 

If you do happen to be someone who “wanders” from him and his care, he's not going to be above locking you away. You are either put on base confinement or he will lock in chains, neither is what he wants but for your protection, he will do it.

If you happen to be a minicon or human, saying he’ll keep you close is an understatement. He'll use your small size as an excuse to keep you in his dock, it’s safe, warm and he can keep an eye on you at all times.

Everything he does is what he believes is in your best interest and make no mistake if it’s not done his way it’s not done at all.

Bumblebee

Type: Clingy Yandere 

If you asked anyone to describe Bee it could be summed up as nosey.

He has a need to be involved in almost anything remotely involving his friends.

It won't take much for him to get attached to you, complementing him, laughing at his jokes or even agreeing with him on a controversial point he tries to make to the other Autobots are all seemingly innocent ways to get on his radar.

When he does take interest in you, expect his over-eagerness to intensify by 200%.

You might see him as that pushy friend who always texts you still wanting to hang out, regardless of if you’ve just spent hours together.

If he isn’t able to be with you, expect him to be moping on his mission or complaining. As soon as he has an opportunity to get to you expect him to take it.

He wants to be with you 24/7 even if it is inappropriate of him, he will not care or more accurately he will not realise.

If you happen to not like your personal space and alone time violated expect him to try every trick in the book to guilt trip you into going against your needs.

If you do stand your ground, he’s going to get creative and not in a good way. He’ll start off by just following you around and hoping you don’t catch him, this isn’t enough to satisfy his need though. Breaking into your room after you’ve gone to sleep is the next natural step for him.

If you do brush him off for another friend expect that they’ll quickly either disappear or start to avoid you. He isn’t going to be above threatening, blackmailing and on the rare occasion killing to get people from distracting you from him

Due to his need to be with you 24/7, he sees no reason why he can’t be your partner. After all, you spend so much time together it's only natural that you two pursue a relationship.

If you don’t have romantic feelings for him, he respects that and isn’t going to force you into anything. Being around you 24/7 as a friend is enough to satisfy him.

He might even go as far as to be your wingman, carefully selecting a partner for you that won't cause him or you any trouble

But don’t be fooled he sees absolutely no reason to not be present at all times in your relationship. He doesn’t want anyone taking you away from him. If you or your partner have a problem with him being the constant third wheel, expect that relationship to end very quickly.

He’s basically a big metal dog with over-attachment issues.

Preceptor

Type: Manipulative Yandere 

He treats you how he’d treat other experiments, controlled.

He’s the least likely to appear that he’s actually interested in you in front of others and can come off as a bit of an unfiltered asshole. Even if what he says is technically true most people have common decency.

He’ll constantly question mistakes you make in front of others, no matter how little or how accidental they are.

It honestly is a mystery as to why he took interest in you, maybe you present an ingenious idea, or maybe you happened to get interested in a passion project of his. Or maybe he just liked the look of your frame.

Like anything, he does his research on you and he is thorough. From your first steps all the way to your deepest darkest secrets, he’s learnt it all. 

Yes he did set up some hidden cameras in your room, after all, he needs to be able to monitor the progress he makes with you.

Don’t expect him to change how he treats you in front of others, much. Of course, he’ll still point out your flaws in work and your personal life but only he can do that. Even if something he’s said leads to you being harassed by others, he’s not too far behind to give them a stern talk as to why they are inferior or just downright worse than you.

In private he almost does a 180.

When it first happens you'd almost think that you'd died in a horrible accident.

He rarely ever criticizes you in private. If he does, it’s never blunt and always followed with a helpful suggestion" that may not be the best but if you try x the outcome should be favourable for you."

He's not praising every little thing you do but it makes a noticeable difference. It might even make you look forward to working with or seeing him.

Which would go exactly to his plan.

Eventually, he'll try to act less like more of a "normal cybertronian" instead of his usual science-centric self, you might even think you've started to rub off on him. possibly going as far as to say you've changed him for the better.

It won't last though, he'll wait for the perfect situation to reverse his behaviour. 

It wouldn't be a small issue, but not something major either. He'd choose something that you'd do every once in a while, maybe it's over something you think is a kind gesture like bringing him a morning cup of energon at the bringing of work.

Regardless of what he chooses, it would naturally be perceived as a kind gesture and you'd usually never ask someone before doing it. But given Perceptor's unique personality and behaviour it would be easy to assume that such a gesture could be considered annoying or rude to him.

He would naturally forgive you, not too quickly but not too slow as to completely lose the relationship he’s built.

He’ll eventually move on to slowly removing any outside relationship you have with others. He has several different methods to use the most effective being rumours and subtle interference with your work. That important work project that you had to show your boss? Somehow it’s missing several key details. 

His end goal is to have you wanting his approval, needing his presence almost constantly and willing to do anything for it.

TFE Headcanon (where they don’t make Soundwave’s kids scared of him)

Soundwave didn’t kill Rumble from being low on energon but instead Optimus or Bumblebee shot him while he was ejecting. And the Autobots being the ignorant oblivious destroyers they are don’t realize this and rationalize it as Soundwave killing Rumble somehow.

That’s why Soundwave is so full of rage when he fights them. Because they killed his kid and don’t even take responsibility for it, the cowards. And even worse don’t even care or know they killed him and joke about it.

Ratchet

Hates it so much

He's usually so engrossed in his work that having you appear next to him and start talking scares him more than he'd like to admit

Has demanded asked that you announce your presence earlier as to avoid any accidents

He's not threatening you, he just doesn't enjoy being spooked

Of the two he might genuinely consider putting a bell on you. He probably won't tho

After he finally gets sick of being spooked, he makes you agree to announce yourself loudly when you're in the area

He does come to appreciate your quietness when he's both working and knows where you are. It's nice to have company that doesn't constantly bother him

There's a chance you get some good gossip just by chance, and if you just so happen to share what's going on with him, then he won' complain

Might send you off to make sure the rest of the team is actually doing their job or to make sure they're taking care of themselves and the like

Optimus

He's not easy to sneak up on, and your sneakiness isn't an exception

Optimus will act like he always knew you were there, greeting you normally while whoever else is in the room is trying to calm their heart rate

If you make it your personal mission to actually sneak up on him, then I wish you the best of luck

He's always on high alert, even when he seems to be engrossed in an activity. He's got tabs on everybody (to the best of his ability)

The closest you've gotten was when you popped out from behind a wall and he stared at you for a few seconds before replying

Something about his blank stare filled you with a sense of pride, but it was impossible to tell if you'd truly scared him or not

I’d like to request a human gn reader giving the verbal backlash of a lifetime to someone (preferably Agent Fowler or June) who’s rude/scolding Optimus after he makes a decision that they don’t really like at first but was VERY necessary for the best possible outcome. I hate how they treat OP, and he just sits there and takes it T-T He needs someone to defend him smh. Like he’s got the weight of not just one, but TWO worlds on his shoulders cut him some SLACK.

pretty sure fowler was internally crying by this point

you probably would end up leaving angrily, and you'd be left alone for a bit until one of the autobots would join you

arcee might be the first to try to talk, mostly because she was really impressed by how you handled the situation. not many people have the guts to be that brutally honest with fowler like that

optimus probably wouldn't say much to start off, but when you two have some time alone he would thank you for defending him

poor guy isn't used to others thinking ab his feelings and it meant a lot that you stood up for him :[

he also really admired your courage, he never expected smth like that coming from you. he would spend a lot of time thinking about the event, and ratchet would probably ask him why he actually looks happy for once

he knows that you always have his back, whether physically or verbally, and it's yet another reason he appreciates you sm. makes a mental note to return the favor, and is a bit more protective of you as well in the future :]
