Hello, I don't usually ask questions on social networks, but I wanted to know what you think of a story where our human friend suffers an accident aboard the lost light in the Brainstrom laboratory and now the bots are able to see his thoughts. Bonus points if it's weird stuff (most of our minds are very weird), (sorry if something is poorly translated, I'm writing this with the translator) ^^)

One, I absolutely adore this concept.

Two, did you know there are people that think in pictures rather than use an internal voice?

And to top it off, people go around referencing pop culture, iconic scenes, memes, and their favorite media as well as the weird, intrusive thoughts and extreme, nonsensical daydreams...

I like to think there would be a media war between the Cybertronians that never went to Earth and only know beloved cartoons and shows and memes from the weird reenactment from the resident human's mind but with the Lost Light crew getting morphed into it versus the Cybertronians that actually had direct experience and personally downloaded those shows and movies.

As the "I Ship It" song goes, canon ground versus crack ship space.

Does anyone else remember those Naruto animation videos where the Akatsuki are drawn drunk or doing hilarious dances? The human looked up the Decepticon Justice Division, cross referenced on what they do, and immediately thought of a full sequence of the D.J.D. doing the Gang Torture Dance from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

The continuously weirder and weirder thoughts on how Cybertronian strip club would look like based on Futurama, Cyberpunk, and Night runner's Magnum Bullets. "Snu-snu" bit included. It's both highly ridiculous, strangely erotic, and absolutely terrifying at the same time to the Lost Light crew.

The last bullet causes so much drama because mechs want to have really cool or badass themes, but no! The human assigns them sex or porn songs like "Life is a Highway" and "Shut Up and Drive" and "Two Trucks," or something silly like "Barbie Girl" or the opening theme to Mega XLR or the sad song on the world's smallest violin to the poor bastard that gets stuck with the engex bill at the end of the night.

More storyboards to come from tonight's premiere of Chum Bucket List, but I NEEEEEEED to share this ASAP because it's one of my favorite sequences I've ever had the honor of working on in all my time on the show(s) for one of my favorite episodes!! I LOVE over the top cheesiness like this (and love old sitcom pastiches even moreso) so this was a really special assignment to work on!

Tim Prendergast thumbed out the section from scratch (and did some revisions, such as the ice cream mess and the .....ship explosion) and is a HUGE reason as to why this moves as great as it does! So many episodes on this show have been a formative experience, but this one especially really got me to think about how the drawings will translate into motion!

I'm also especially ecstatic that we got to sneak those S1 era designs--I tried to channel a little bit of the Help Wanted-style wonkiness with SpongeBob there!--as someone who lives and breathes that era! The S1 style was my default art style when drawing SB fanart before getting scooped up onto the real deal and remains my favorite season to date, so it was really special being able to indulge in that!!

I'm SO happy to see all of the positive buzz this has generated!! As always, the entire team put their all into this episode and, as always, it really shows! More storyboards to come, but I NEEDED to post this as soon as the coast was clear because I still love this so much. And I hope you do, too!

I strongly agree that there are world events that deserve much more news coverage and resources than the Titan because frankly it should’ve been immediately assumed they were dead when sonar couldn’t find them and communication was lost.

However, I don’t necessarily think it’s fair to compare the EU coast guard and the US and Canada's various first response teams that responded to the Titan. Because they’re separate entities.

Do I think people should care more about the refugee ship that capsized due to alleged incompetence of the coast guard? Yes. I do. And I hope more survivors can be found because that was a genuine tragedy.

Do I think that it should be getting the same kind of attention as the Titan? Not really. Because people are just memeing on the Titan, and the average tumblr user has around $0.20 to their name and maybe 400 followers so this isn’t a very good platform for getting meaningful help for those affected by that situation.

This isn’t even a “you can care about two things at once” situation, because again with the Titan you should be very amused by 4/5 of those deaths whereas there’s nothing funny about what happened to that fishing ship. These are very different niches in cultural awareness and your ire should be towards media companies over random people on social media.

In the mid-1980s, animated adaptations of arcade games were commonplace— for example, Hanna Barbera's Pac-Man or Saturday Supercade's Q*Bert. Both of these shows, for lack of a better term, 'Americanize' the designs of the titular characters, so I got to thinking...

"What would a mid-1980s cartoon based off Rascal look like?"

Seeing as I've had prior experience in drawing faux animation cels, I decided to put that talent to the test and whip up not only a cel drawing but also a painted background for a scene for a hypothetical 1985 Rascal cartoon! 🍬🧡💙🧡🍬

So I went to the local Oddities and Curiosities expo and I just wanted to share what I got:

A keychain, nosferatu magnet, three stickers of Nosferatu, Draculaura and vampire Spongebob. I love it so so much! I only had $20 so I couldn't go crazy. The most prized is obviously vampire Spongebob sticker and the Nosferatu magnet <333 @froskii said what I collected was so my vibe, my irl bestie AND my sister also said similarly. I didn't know I was so.. Like that™ lmao.

I kinda was on the hunt for anything Nosferatu related (I like him outside of spongebob for the record)

but I did encounter something extra EXTRA special:

Hyper realistic pottery of the monster cereal characters!!! Idgaf about the others, only Boo Berry (as seen in the picture) cuz he's based on Peter Lorre. Obviously I do not have $170 for this but it was so cool to see!! Its obvious to tell the sculpt is more based on Lorre's actual face which makes this extra special.

If I had unlimited money then I would commission some sort of Slappy pottery. I imagine it would look like the boo berry one but more fishy (cuz he's the Peter Lorre fish duh) I did save the artist's site for anyone who does have unlimited money and could possibly purchase it or just want to see:

I ALSO saw the YouTuber STRANGE ÆONS (I'm sure she's on tumblr as well) She was right in front of my friend and I when we first entered the expo. She was carrying a huge video camera so I suspect she will be making a video of this event. I was too shy too approach her and so was my friend but I think its neat.
