which albums do you think took the shortest amount of time to put together? i think that evermore was very quick (only two or three months?), am i right in thinking that lover and folklore were pretty quick too?
evermore was super quick! there were about five songs written from october-december, but about 12 songs were written in about a month, between mid august and mid september. which is just crazy. like that’s more songs than the standard edition of debut like that’s insane
the bulk of folklore was written in two months, between may and june, though the jack songs were mostly written between march and april, with some pre pandemic songs (my tears in dec 2019 and trying in jan/feb 2020)
midnights was a bit more spread out— high infidelity and would’ve could’ve should’ve were written in march 2021, i believe bigger than the whole sky and snow on the beach were in early 2022– but still the bulk of it came together in november/december 2021, making it a year in total but mostly done in two months.
rep took almost exactly a year— she starts writing it in september 2016 and finishes in september 2017. the bulk of the album was likely finished by july 2017 though, so it goes was just a super last minute addition.
lover was recorded in about four months— the bulk of the album was between november 2018 and february 2019. there are some exceptions, like death by a thousand cuts in late april and likely london boy in early june, and maybe a few jack songs throughout 2018, but we don’t know for sure which. she was also probably stockpiling songs a bit before jumping into the studio, but we don’t know for sure.
1989 was another stockpiling album— she did this love in 2012, a couple songs jan 2013, and then that aforementioned stockpiling period while she’s on tour, and then a big rush in oct/nov 2013, and then another rush in jan/feb 2014. it sounds like now that we don’t talk came fairly late in the process though, possibly as late as fall 2014, which would make it a two year long writing period, but as far as the original album goes, about a year and a half.
red was also about a year and a half— we have all too well being finalized in march 2011 (after being started in dec 2010), and then 22 and i knew you were trouble in june 2012. there are probably some outliers— stay stay stay might’ve been as early as summer 2010, some stuff on the vault might’ve gone up until september 2012– but that’s at most about two years of consistent writing and recording.
if we’re counting sparks fly (halloween 2006) then it took four years to write speak now, but excluding sparks fly georg the earliest song we know for sure was if this was a movie in april 2009, and then it ended with the story of us in june 2010, which is a little over a year. she was likely writing songs for speak now earlier in 2009 though, making it her standard year and a half, but we just don’t know for sure. the recording process was also spread out throughout both years— the first session for the album was in march 2009, and the orchestra sections were the last thing recorded, in july 2010.
fearless had two big recording sessions, in december 2007 and march 2008, so recording wise the album came together super quickly. that being said, if we just take the first and last songs written for the album, fearless has a pretty big stretch— she had stuff from the vault from like 2005, and then come in with the rain in september 2006, and white horse in december 2006. and then the last song is similarly up for interpretation, with forever and always in late september 2008, and mr perfectly fine in march 2009. so even though it came together very quickly once she got in the studio, counting the vault it was four years to write it, making it one of the longest timeframes, but standard edition is still a fairly long two years.
and then debut! i’m a bit more hazy on debut’s timeline, but a perfectly good heart was written sometime in 2003, and should’ve said no was the last thing written and recorded, on august 10, 2006, making it about three years.
so it’s pretty much an exercise in counting— the earlier and album came in her career, the longer it took her to make it, until we get to post pandemic where she’s busting out almost complete albums in two month periods (ts11 looks like it’s bucking that trend though, so let’s see!!)

tumblr is the last social media that feels remotely social... remember when it was only our primary school friends? then outer circle, then university, then the whole world practically. I think after i lost contact with so many people irl I realized there was nothing pulling me back to those social medias. facebook , my first sm, was abandoned after early high school as I latched onto weird twitter to post jokes with my buddies and classmates. tumblr was a medium i originally joined to post gifs of pokemon and dbz, ended up making some good e friends over time - sad that most of them are moved on but hopefully for the better. Instagram was a part of my social media journey probably from 2012 - 2021 & IG was abandoned because of a combination of fomo & disinterest in my academic peers, and a lack of engagement with my posts. I honestly still wish I was as avid about taking photos/videos with my phone but now that I drive everywhere my hands are always busy. In 2014 I got really into media/politics twitter and it consumed my time & morale - ended up deleting for a few years and then remaking around pandemic times, only to abandon it again late 2021 after i realized the soul suck was still ever so obvious. snapchat wasn't a part of my life for a very long time on account of I don't really love taking selfies or communicating via images of random shit so I left that around the same time I ditched facebook for twitter. Peach was small and insular and was a fun place to go for a break from tumblr back in like...2018 or something? Anyway people talked shit about me for literally just being myself and hurting nobody so I don't care to return there (and my current phone doesn't support the app so whatever!). I've purposefully stayed away from tiktok and twitter alternatives because I don't really think adding to my social media is going to bring me any more meaning/joy at this point. just want to build on relationships that already exist because I don't feel insatiable on this front right now

could you list the very first and the very last song which taylor has written for each album? just curious to see any changes in her songwriting, especially of the earlier albums. i got the ones for red and fearless cause i read your timelines (awesome work btw) but im missing the ones for the other albums
THAT'S SUCH AN INTERESTING QUESTION ANON, THANK YOU
DEBUT
First song:
A Perfectly Good Heart - Autumn 2003
Last song:
Should've Said No - August 10, 2006
FEARLESS
First song:
White Horse - December 2006 (if we count the main album)
Come In With The Rain - September 2006 (if we count Fearless Platinum)
That's When/You All Over Me - early 2005 (if we count Fearless TV) The 2005 Vault songs are the most vague but I think that the other two, Don't You and We Were Happy, are for Drew, so written after he left for college in September 2005.
Last song:
Forever & Always - September 22, 2008 (if we count the main album)
Mr. Perfectly Fine - March/May 2009 (if we count Fearless TV)
SPEAK NOW
First song:
Sparks Fly - November 2, 2006
Sparks Fly was technically edited in 2010, so if you think that it shouldn't count, your next bet might be:
If This Was A Movie - April 2009
Last song:
The Story Of Us - June 16, 2010
RED
First song:
Stay Stay Stay - either early 2010 or late 2010
Last song:
I Knew You Were Trouble - June 2, 2012
Technically Trouble began in January 2012, but it was finished on June 2nd. So if you think that it shouldn't count, the next song is:
22 - June 1, 2012
1989
First song:
This Love - October 17, 2012
Last song:
Style - February 19, 2014
REPUTATION
First song:
Gorgeous - September 2 to 19, 2016
Last song:
So It Goes... - September 2017. The song was a last-minute addition to the album and it messed up the tracklist on the reputation magazines. EDIT TO ADD AN EXPLANATION HERE
LOVER
First song:
Daylight - 2017/2018
Last song:
Death By A Thousand Cuts - April 2019
(I'm actually not 100% sure about the Lover timeline and I haven't seen anyone talking about it but Taylor said that Daylight was the first title of the album but she changed it after she wrote Lover, and Lover is also a pretty early song (Taylor posted a quote from the song on Instagram in July 2018) so Daylight could've potentially been written in early 2018 or late 2017)
FOLKLORE
First song:
my tears ricochet - Late 2019
Last song:
the 1/hoax - Late May 2020
EVERMORE
First song:
dorothea - summer 2020, around July or August
Last song:
right where you left me/happiness - November 2020, both written just before the mastering process
MIDNIGHTS
First song:
High Infidelity/Would've Could've Should've - March 2021
Last song:
You're Losing Me - maybe written after Midnights dropped?
I haven't researched Midnights in depth yet (but I actually don't think there's much to research, we can just speculate)

An old movie with a very relevant name.
Script below the break.
Hello and welcome back to The Rewatch Rewind! My name is Jane, and this is the podcast where I count down my top 40 most frequently rewatched movies over the last 20 years. Today I will be discussing number 14 on my list: MGM’s 1944 psychological thriller Gaslight, directed by George Cukor, written by John Van Druten, Walter Reisch, and John L Balderston, based on the play by Patrick Hamilton, and starring Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer, and Joseph Cotten.
So first of all, if you’re thinking, “Gaslight? As in, to deny someone’s reality to the point that they can no longer trust their own perceptions?” then, yes, you’re absolutely correct: this movie (and the play it’s based on and the 1940 British film it’s a remake of) is where that term comes from. So I’m just going to give a blanket content warning for this whole episode: I will be talking a lot about psychological and emotional abuse. This is an incredibly well-made movie, which is why I keep revisiting it, but I recognize that not everybody is in the right place to hear stories about gaslighting, so please, take care of yourself, and skip this episode if you think it’s going to cause you distress.
That being said, I truly have no idea why “gaslighting” suddenly became a popular buzzword in the last 10 years or so, or how it has evolved to be misapplied to any form of lying. I’ve even heard people talk about how someone is “gaslighting” them when they merely disagree about something. So despite how incredibly dark and disturbing this movie is, I really think everyone should watch it, if for no other reason than to learn how to use the term correctly. But there’s obviously a lot more to it than that, which I will get into. But first, my traditional plot summary:
When her aunt and guardian, a famous opera star, is murdered in their London home, young Paula Alquist (Ingrid Bergman) is sent to Italy to train as a singer. Ten years later, she is swept off her feet by her new accompanist, Gregory Anton (Charles Boyer), and after knowing each other only two weeks, they get married. Though she is still haunted by her aunt’s unsolved murder, upon hearing that Gregory has always wanted to live in London, Paula suggests that they move into her old house. As they settle in, Gregory’s behavior gradually changes, and Paula begins to feel like she is losing her mind.
The main thing I remember about the first time I watched this movie was thinking it wasn’t a very good mystery, since it’s pretty obvious fairly early on who the bad guy is. But by the end it became clear that it was never meant to be a mystery, but rather a map of red flags to watch out for, as well as a surprisingly sympathetic portrayal of how easy it can be to ignore them until it’s too late. Or, I guess I should say, almost too late, since, spoiler alert: the movie does have a mostly happy ending. Anyway, I had never seen a movie like this before and it fascinated me. I watched it twice in 2003, once in 2004, once in 2006, once in 2007, twice in 2008, three times in 2012, once in 2013, once in 2014, twice in 2015, twice in 2016, once in 2017, once in 2018, once in 2020, twice in 2021, and once in 2022. I also saw the 1940 version once in 2006. I don’t remember much about it other than I thought it was pretty good, but the remake was better. And a big part of that is because of the cast of the remake. One of my 2015 views of the remake was part of my watching through Best Actress winners project because Ingrid Bergman won the first of her three Oscars for this film. Apparently at the time I ranked this performance as the 7th best to win that award, and now if anything I feel like that was too low. The more I rewatch this movie, the more impressed I am by what a difficult job she had and how thoroughly she crushed it.
Paula is an incredibly complex character who undergoes a significant emotional journey. At the beginning, though she’s definitely still haunted by the trauma of her youth, she’s mostly happy and hopeful and vivacious. And then all of that slowly dims as Gregory’s manipulations escalate, almost as if she is a gas light that he’s turning down. That’s not why the movie is called Gaslight, though; it’s called that because one of the early signs that something sketchy is going on is when Paula starts to notice lights dimming as if someone turned a new light on somewhere else in the house, but nobody else seems to notice this and she can’t find a good explanation for it. But watching Paula go from a lively, lovestruck newlywed to basically a zombie struggling to find a shred of reality she can trust also feels like watching a gas light flame go down. And it would have been so easy to either overdo or undersell this descent into confusion, but Ingrid Bergman perfectly balances every moment. You can see Paula starting to doubt herself more and more as her actions and words become more hesitant and her looks become more vague, until she begins to resign herself to the fact that Gregory must be right, she must be insane, there’s nothing more she can do. It’s so painful and heartbreaking that I desperately want to reach through the screen and comfort her and tell her what’s really going on. And then, just when I almost can’t stand it anymore, Joseph Cotten shows up to do that for me. He plays Inspector Brian Cameron of Scotland Yard, a childhood fan of Paula’s aunt who happens to see Paula one of the few times she’s out with Gregory in London, which leads him to reopen the cold case of her aunt’s murder and figure out what’s going on just in time to help Paula. The implication that Paula needs a man to rescue her is one thing I don’t love about this movie, but at the same time I think it’s important to acknowledge that Gregory was so effective at – for lack of a better term – gaslighting her that she could not have escaped that situation without help.
Not to take any of the credit away from Bergman for her stellar performance, but I do think it helped that George Cukor was the director. Longtime listeners may recognize his name from Holiday, which was number 33 on this list, and Adam’s Rib, which was number 27, both of which have significantly lighter tones. Gaslight feels much more like an Alfred Hitchcock picture than a George Cukor one. Cukor apparently didn’t like being referred to as a “woman’s director,” but he had a reputation for his ability to coax great performances out of actresses, and this is certainly no exception. In order to help Bergman keep track of Paula’s gradual descent toward madness while shooting out of order, Cukor would tell her the whole plot up to the scenes they were filming each day, which Bergman initially resented, but then he stopped doing it for a few days and she realized how helpful it had been, and they went back to doing it that way. I do think Ingrid Bergman would have been great in this role regardless of who the director was, but George Cukor helped elevate her to the best she could possibly be.
While Bergman’s performance is far and away my favorite aspect of this movie, the rest of the cast is also phenomenal, albeit rather small. It definitely has that based-on-a-play feel of limited locations and few characters, although that also works very well with the story. Part of Gregory’s strategy is to cut Paula off from the rest of the world so she won’t have a safety net. Consequently, for most of the film she only interacts with him and their two servants: the kind but mostly-deaf cook, Elizabeth, played by Barbara Everest, and the saucy, flirtatious maid, Nancy, played by none other than 18-year-old Angela Lansbury in her film debut, both of whom are absolutely perfect in their roles. I love Everest’s delivery of “I see just how it is” when Gregory is trying to keep Elizabeth on his side without realizing that she’s always been firmly on Paula’s. And Lansbury embodies the exact attitude required for Nancy: flirtatious toward Gregory, disdainful toward Paula, totally oblivious to how she’s being manipulated until the end – all conveyed with every look she gives and line she speaks as if she’s a veteran actor. It comes as absolutely no surprise that she went on to have such a long and successful career, with this as her first screen performance. She was even nominated for an Oscar! And then there’s the neighbor Miss Thwaites, played by Dame May Whitty, who adds some much-needed levity with her “diggy biscuits” and morbid curiosity about the house in her square where there was a “real murder!” Joseph Cotten’s role is honestly pretty bland – kind of the film noir version of a classic Disney prince, in a way – but he makes the most of it. And then there’s Charles Boyer, giving one of the best creepy villain performances I’ve ever seen, which was also Oscar-nominated. He starts out just sort of vaguely unsettling, raising one or two red flags right off the bat, but like, he could still be okay, and then by the end he is full-on terrifying. He has this amazing stone-faced look that makes your blood run cold. There’s this one moment in particular, kind of toward the middle, when Miss Thwaites and Inspector Cameron (posing as her nephew) have tried to visit them, and Gregory tells Nancy to send them away. Paula wanted to let them in but he freaked out so she backed down, and then after Nancy leaves she again says she wanted to see them, and he’s like, “Oh, why didn’t you say so?” and it makes me want to scream. Then he tells her she didn’t have time to see them because they’re going out to the theater, and Paula’s like, “I didn’t know that…or did I forget?” and Gregory, facing the camera with his back to her, opens his mouth to respond, and then stops and waits for her to dwell on that for a few more seconds before he tells her that no, this is a surprise, and both his face and her face are so perfect there, I love it and hate it so much. Like, I love it from a “this movie is so well acted” perspective, and I hate it from a “this character is a horrible human being” perspective. And then Paula gets overly happy, since she’s been trapped in the house for so long that him letting her go out seems like a wonderful gift. But then he “notices” that a picture is missing from the wall, and makes her think she hid it, and they end up not going out because she’s “too unwell.”
That’s the main way he manipulates her: by moving things and making it look like she took them. What’s particularly interesting about the way the movie shows this is we never actually see Gregory taking any of the things, but it is nevertheless clear that he has been. But he is so insistent that she’s doing it that we can easily believe that Paula wouldn’t suspect him, or that if she did, she would have significant doubts. And even if she did figure it out, it’s not like there’s anything she can do about it. She’s in London for the first time in a decade, she doesn’t know anyone, she doesn’t have anywhere to go, and she’s not sure she can trust her own mind. And I think it’s so important that the movie at no point faults her for ending up in that situation or for not being able to leave. The movie also gives no indication that Gregory is physically harming Paula, but leaves the audience in no doubt that he is an abusive husband. And I feel like the messages that abuse doesn’t have to be physical and that it’s never the victim’s fault are still too rare in media today, let alone nearly 80 years ago. I feel like back then most unhealthy relationships in movies were in the His Girl Friday vein of “they’re kind of both abusing each other so it’s fine” or would find other ways for excusing or explaining the abusive behavior, like “the abuser was drunk” or “the victim was asking for it” or what have you. And if they weren’t like that, the victim usually ended up dead. In Gaslight, Gregory has no excuse. I mean, he does have a reason, but it’s a terrible reason that in no way justifies his actions. And Paula not only survives, but also gets an incredibly satisfying confrontation with Gregory after Brian and another policeman have tied him up. When the police leave them alone together, Gregory pleads with her to get a knife and cut him free, and for a moment you think she’s actually going to help him, but she gets her revenge by pretending she can’t find the knife and saying she’s too insane to help him, forcing him to admit that he has lied to her and she isn’t actually mad. And she wraps up her great payback with: “If I were not mad, I could have helped you. Whatever you had done, I could have pitied and protected you. But because I am mad, I hate you. Because I am mad, I have betrayed you. And because I'm mad, I'm rejoicing in my heart, without a shred of pity, without a shred of regret, watching you go with glory in my heart!” So she turns his gaslighting around on him, and it’s amazing. Although I must admit that right after that when she cries, “Mr. Cameron! Take this man away!” is the one part when I feel like Ingrid Bergman overdoes it just a little bit and gets too melodramatic, but after everything Paula has been through, she deserves as many melodramatic moments as she wants.
I would prefer it if the movie didn’t conclude with the implication that Paula is going to end up romantically involved with Brian, but again, she deserves all the happiness she can get, and if that’s what’s going to make her happy, I’m all for it. And I guess we can claim Miss Thwaites as aroace representation, since she seems to be an old maid with no interest in romance. This movie also speaks to my aromanticism and asexuality in a different, unique way. Because to a certain extent, being aroace in an allonormative, amatonormative society kind of feels like the entire world is gaslighting you. Of course, I don’t mean to imply that my experiences have been anywhere near as horrendous as someone like Paula’s – having your reality cruelly and intentionally twisted by a partner is on an entirely different level from not quite fitting in with the dominant culture’s concept of reality. Still, being constantly bombarded with the message that all mature humans frequently experience sexual and romantic attraction, and that a universal top life goal is to find a partner you’re attracted to that way, when you don’t feel those attractions and don’t desire that kind of partner, is incredibly confusing and disorienting. Once you become an adult, or even a teenager, people start giving you knowing looks when they hear you’ve been hanging out with a friend one-on-one, especially if that friend happens to be of the opposite sex. And you don’t think you like any of your friends “that way” but you also don’t really know what liking someone “that way” feels like so you start to think maybe you don’t know your own feelings. And if you’re lucky, your brain subconsciously decides that you do have crushes like a normal person, they’re just always on movie stars, most of whom are dead, which you realize is weird, but it’s an understandable kind of weird. Nobody believes you when you say you don’t have a crush on anybody, but if you show them a picture of Cary Grant and say, “I have a crush on him,” that makes sense to them. And so you end up becoming convinced that you’re experiencing types of attraction that you’re not, to the point that when you first hear about asexuality you don’t even consider the possibility that it could describe you. And of course, when I say “you” I mean “me”; I can’t speak for all aroaces, although I do think most of us experience some form of that confusion before we figure out that our identity exists. I feel like there’s a relatively widespread perception that aromantic and/or asexual people are just single allos who want to feel special by giving themselves a label, but for me, the opposite is true. Using the aroace label makes me feel less special, because now I know there are other people out there like me, after spending so much time trying to play along with the attraction I thought I was supposed to be feeling. It’s honestly been kind of difficult to unlearn this, to teach myself how to even recognize, let alone trust, what I’m actually feeling versus the socially acceptable way to be feeling about other people.
It’s weird because, looking back, it’s so obvious to me that I was faking crushes, that I was just parroting things I’d heard when I talked about them, that I was just smiling and nodding when people would say things like, “Isn’t that person hot?” But at the time, I absolutely could not admit that, even to myself, because I felt like, in order to be human, I must be experiencing what I’d been led to believe were universal human emotions that went along with sexual and romantic attraction. Back in 2013 I blogged about all the movies I’d seen at least 10 times in 10 years, and I just re-read my post about Gaslight, in which I apparently wrote that I found Joseph Cotten attractive in this movie. I don’t remember thinking or writing that, but I’m sure if I’d been asked to elaborate, I would have said I thought he was hot or whatever, even though I absolutely did not, I just thought I was supposed to. I wasn’t consciously lying; I had become convinced that I felt things I didn’t. Although, now that I think about it, maybe I really was attracted to him, not sexually or romantically, but in terms of the way his character functions in the story. I desperately needed someone to show up and tell me that the problem wasn’t with my mind and provide me with some key information I was missing that would explain what was going on, just like Brian does for Paula. Again, her experience was much more horrifying than mine, but learning that some people are aromantic and asexual, that not feeling those kinds of attraction is perfectly normal for those people, was almost as revelatory to me as learning that her husband killed her aunt and was trying to drive her mad was to Paula. Maybe it sounds like I’m the one being melodramatic now, but I don’t know how else to explain how messed up it is to spend decades convincing yourself and everyone else that you’re feeling things you’re not, and what a relief it is to learn that you were right all along and can finally take the mask off. And that’s why I’ve been focusing so much on looking at movies from an aromantic and asexual perspective on this podcast. Because I don’t want anyone else to go through all that. I want everyone to know that amatonormativity and allonormativity are lies, both because I want people on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrums to understand themselves sooner than I understood myself, and because I want alloromantic, allosexual people to know that not everyone is like them. I don’t blame the allo people I was surrounded with for perpetuating these norms because they didn’t know better. I know they weren’t really trying to gaslight me. But I would like to live in a society where most people do know better.
Anyway, I appreciate this movie for understanding me in ways that I couldn’t articulate until recently. But that’s far from the only reason it’s this high on my list. Again, I truly cannot overemphasize how phenomenal the acting is. Ingrid Bergman was always wonderful, but she took it to a whole other level here, and the rest of the cast were similarly at the top of their game. I never get tired of watching them act together, particularly when I’m in the mood for something a little darker. Like the other Ingrid Bergman movie I talked about, Notorious, I’m not sure whether Gaslight “counts” as film noir, because it has some of the typical noir tropes but lacks other important ones. But from a lighting and cinematography perspective, it definitely feels like a noir, so if you enjoy that style, you’ll probably appreciate this movie. It was nominated for a total of seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Screenplay, and Black-and-White Cinematography, in addition to the three acting nominations I mentioned earlier for Bergman, Boyer, and Lansbury. The only Oscar it won besides Best Actress was for Art Direction, which is something I don’t generally pay a ton of attention to, but the set is particularly important in Gaslight. The house almost functions as a character: it’s Gregory’s accomplice in torturing Paula, and the increasingly cluttered look of the rooms helps emphasize the way it’s trapping her. And, of course, there are the real, vintage gasoliers that give the movie its title and add greatly to its mood. So both of this movie’s Oscars were thoroughly deserved.
Thank you for listening to me discuss another of my most frequently rewatched films. This wraps up the 4-way tie of movies I saw 22 times from 2003 through 2022. I wonder how many other people out there have watched Beauty and the Beast, A Mighty Wind, His Girl Friday, and Gaslight the same number of times in the last 20 years. Anyway, I didn’t watch any movies exactly 23 times, so next up is the only one I watched 24 times, which is also one that I have a LOT of feelings and personal stories about, so stay tuned for what I’m sure will be a particularly long and rambling episode that I hope will be fun to listen to. As always, I will leave you with a quote from that next movie: “I don’t need to act things out in order to write them. I have what we like to call an ‘imagination.’ Have you ever heard of that? Oh, no no no no no, please tell us more about the old man… and the boat.”

Recent Disney Animation "announcement" to "release date" movie timeline, a scorecard of sorts... Similar to the one I just did for DreamWorks... I'll begin with RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON, which came out in 2021. I started at 2021 for DreamWorks as well... (That post here.)
WDAS had done things a little differently from DreamWorks, in that they'll often announce or let it slip that a director is attached to something. An untitled project, which they reveal the title of until they feel it's ready. For example, MOANA was talked about as far back as 2012 as an untitled Ron Clements and John Musker film. The title and premise was officially revealed in fall 2014, and the movie came out in Thanksgiving 2016.
DreamWorks by contrast will usually announce what the movie is upfront, not as "Untitled [Insert Director Here] Film".
So with that...
RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON: Announced October 2018 as an untitled film from directors Paul Briggs and Dean Wellins. Released March 2021. A little over two years before release. Rumblings of Briggs and Wellins directing a film together at WDAS had gotten out earlier than that (around 2015), but little else. The title was revealed August 2019. Wellins was later removed from the film, and Briggs demoted to "co-director". Worth noting that RAYA was originally slated for Thanksgiving 2020, but got pushed to March 2021 due to COVID-19.
ENCANTO: Announced in November 2016 as an untitled musical from ZOOTOPIA director Byron Howard with music from Lin-Manuel Miranda. Released November 2021. Five years before release. The title and various other information was officially revealed as ENCANTO in December 2020.
STRANGE WORLD: Announced in December 2021. Released November 2022. Less than a year before release. Scooper sites beat Disney to this one by about a few months, but erroneously referred to the movie as SEARCHER CLADE. The Venture airship appeared as an Easter Egg in ENCANTO's end credits a month earlier before announcement.
WISH: Announced as a film being written by Jennifer Lee in January 2022. Released November 2023. Almost two years before release. The title WISH and other details were officially revealed in September 2022.
MOANA 2: Announced as a MOANA series for Disney+ in December 2020. Releasing November 2024. Nearly four years before release. Disney officially revealed that the MOANA series got retooled as a movie in February 2024.
ZOOTOPIA 2: Announced in February 2023. Releasing November 2025. Over two and a half years before release. There were rumblings of a ZOOTOPIA sequel well before the initial announcement.
FROZEN III: Announced in February 2023. Releasing some time in 2026. As of now, roughly three years before release. WDAS has a Thanksgiving 2026 slot locked for a feature film of theirs, it presumably will go to FROZEN III.
UNTITLED SUZI YOONESSI FILM: Announced in November 2019. Status unknown.
UNTITLED JOSIE TRINIDAD FILM: Announced in November 2019. Status unknown. There are some uncorroborated rumors that Trinidad is directing on ZOOTOPIA 2. If true, it doesn't apply here. This announcement from late 2019 concerned an original story of hers.
UNTITLED MARC SMITH FILM: Announced in November 2019. Status unknown.
FROZEN IV: Announced in November 2023. Status unknown.
UNTITLED CARLOS LOPEZ ESTRADA FILM: Announced in November 2019. Cancelled after Lopez Estrada left Disney in April 2022. Was rumored to be titled FOSTER.

Hi there! Love your blog so much, it’s keeping me in fics lately! Do you have any kid fic recs ala All I Want For Christmas (is for you to stop talking) or Put Your Guns Away It’s Tea Time? I love a good family fic!
Hi anon! I haven’t read those two fics so I hope my recs below work for you. I don’t have many because I’m picky about kid fic and read them very occasionally, but if you’re looking for family feels these are my personal favourites:
Far Side by @tackytigerfic (2022, M, 833 words)
Harry has a photograph of Draco and Scorpius on his desk at work. He says it's his favourite.
Blue Sky Is Living Here Today by ignatiustrout (2018, G, 5k)
Draco's a father, Harry's in love with him, and it's really hard to take things slow.
the trembling of the moment by @ihopeyoubothstaysafefromharm and porcelainsalt (2020, G, 5.3k)
In which Draco's quiet single-parent life is not so much interrupted as unexpectedly harmonised.
A Hippogriff for Christmas by @xanthippe74 (2019, G, 6k)
Draco is desperately trying to fulfill four-year-old Scorpius’ dearest wish for Christmas: a visit with a live Hippogriff. Harry is desperately trying to be left alone, safely tucked away from the attention of the wizarding world as Hogwarts’ Keeper of the Keys and Grounds. It might take more than a father’s persistence to convince Harry to help make Scorpius’ Christmas dream come true.
Our Ordinary Days by Lomonaaeren (2012, M, 8.5k)
Two men, both fathers of sons, meet in a bookshop. And the rest is the kind of history that doesn't make history.
Portrait of a Young Girl by @thusspoketrish (2019, M, 8.6k)
Recently married, Harry and Draco are tasked with raising a four-year old Teddy, whose emerging gender identity brings up an array of questions, fears, and revelations for them when they realise that Teddy might be transgender.
Little Talks by Femme and noeon (2012, E, 11k)
Draco's been shagging the Head Auror for months now, and he's sure it's just a fling. Until Harry asks him to a Quidditch match, that is, and things go horribly wrong.
Take the Moon by @tackytigerfic (2022, M, 15k)
Harry Potter has always wanted a family of his own, and when a deadly blood curse forces him into a marriage bond with his best friend Draco Malfoy, it looks like he might just have found one. It's just a shame they’d always planned to break up after a year…
An Improbable Bout of Summer Madness by @ghaniblue (2021, E, 16k)
Draco had planned a quiet, peaceful summer holiday with his son. The last thing he expected was to find Potter here, in Draco's little Cornish retreat. Making fudge in a shop? The idea was too ludicrous for words.
The Strongest Affinity by eidheann (2014, T, 17k)
Trouble finding a wand for Scorpius leads Harry and Draco to something they never imagined.
Dating for Dads in Denial by @aibidil (2017, T, 25k)
In which one wizard designs and another reluctantly patronises a magical matchmaking service, amidst the chaos of children and parenting.
"Dad says" by GallaPlacidia (2019, NR, 39k)
Eleven-year-old Scorpius starts writing to Harry. Harry starts to fall in love with Draco through his portrayal in his son's letters.

2023 Movie Journey: Masterlist
if you’ve known me for any time at all, you should know by now that i will not watch very many movies this year. i’ll aspire to, i’ll think it’s a good idea, but it’s just not that likely to happen. however, that shouldn’t stop me from the fun of trying!
my goal was to average one movie a week so by year’s end i’d have seen more than 50. that didn’t come close to happening, but i’ll keep reviewing them here and check them off my watchlist as i go. (this list just keeps getting longer but i enjoyed updating it for 2023.)

Your recent post has made me curious about your experience. I was an onlooker/lurker to Eddsworld until late March/Early April.
Man. Where do I even begin, genuinely
guess you can call this The Not So Extensive Neb Eddsworld Lore because. I have a LOT to talk about. It's been almost a decade I've seen pretty much everything despite having joined in like. Late 2013
I discovered Eddsworld back in 2012 via Flipnote Hatena (fly high sweet angel), and I never actually actively cared about the series until September 2013, when I decided to give the series a shot after snobbing it for so long: and lol I'm obsessed
Also since I'm funny as all hell I'm gonna address to different eras of my experience with the characters I was obsessed with at the moment
This is what I call my Tom Era: I wasn't on any actual social media yet, except for Sudomemo and DeviantArt, where I had multiple rps with people and got scolded by someone's sister over roleplaying (ya that happened and it's still funny as hell)
Jump to uh. Late 2014 - 2015 when I actually join Tumblr with my main (the ogs will know <3) and that's when I actually started being active in the fanbase and produce content, this is the uh. Matt and Eduardo era? Sure why not. I made a lot of content of them and I don't like talking about this moment bc of personal trauma sorry lol <3
The sasquatch drama happened in this fragment of time, and some might even remember that I've talked about it in this blog at some point
Anyway it's the pre The End - Legacy era, the fandom was really small and everyone pretty much knew the other for better or for worse
Oh I had a Matt ask blog. Don't look for it or I'll get you and I'll bite you
I got a Flipnote I made in 2015 reblogged by Tomska and I felt like my life was complete, and a fanart liked by Kreid (poweredd animator in case u forgot)
Shit happens and now we're in 2016, the fandom explodes, i have no FUCKING idea was was going on at first but man. Man if it wasn't kind of funny to watch
Anyway it's important to also note that I uh. Don't. Really remember a lot from 2016-2017, no idea why, maybe it's just my brain going full on traumatic amnesia mode and deleting everything. But also this post is wayy too long on its own so I'll cut it short
I made that one magical au? I was an emotionally charged undiagnosed teenager so maybe being so active on the internet wasn't a great idea, I got teased by a "cringe art" account for my au who got BLASTED within an hour of existing, I made the Salty AU in 2018 with the ask blog, joined Amino which was just. The worst idea I had in that year alone, joined the official server in 2019 only to leave everything related to eddsworld behind in 2020 because holy shit what was that ... Also there's an high change that Matt has seen my au but I talked about this already.
Then came back in 2021 and the rest is history. Matt Mod, Patryck hyperfixation, yeah you know it
I cut it VERY short bc there's. A lot I don't wanna talk about (just. Personal unpleasant experiences) but man. Man if I don't sound like a mad man talking about this, like dude I've spend sooo much time in the fanbase and I've seen sooo much shit going on, it's like as if I'm talking to a therapist about this or something

I would love to hear some director's commentary, but I'm indecisive lol
So I would love to hear some of your thoughts to either Demigod from Asgard, Memory Served or Paradise Island (because those are some of my favorites of yours) 🤗
Haha well there is absolutely no limit at all on the amount of questions you can ask! Us writers absolutely love talking about our work so no question is too small! It would fill us with so much joy to see our ask boxes full of questions after we post a new fic! (As long as they aren’t mean questions ofc)
Since you haven’t asked for commentary on a specific scene etc i’m gonna tell you how this these fics came to life and where I got my ideas for them! But let me know if you have any more specific questions!
The Demigod From Asgard is to date the oldest WIP I ever had. I first got the idea back in late 2016 (funnily enough while having a shower 😂) and the basis was that Steve and Thor have this massive thing in common of learning about the 21st Century world and it is barely explored in the MCU and it could have created a brilliant friendship between the two of them (i mean look at the chemistry between the two Chris’!) I understood why it wasn’t explored because Thor is off planet a lot but it just made me wonder what it would be like if there was a female version of Thor that stayed on the planet and thus our reader was born! I had written Canon compliant oneshots before but never interlinked l them and I loved the challenge of filling in the gaps between the movies and showing exactly how all the characters develop between each movie. I wrote and planned a lot of it as I could from where the MCU was at that point however I ended up abandoning it because the prospect of it was so daunting, I still continued to day dream about it though and even using elements of the characters and plot points in other oneshots. Fast forward to my final year at university (2020/21) due to the population of my university town being predominantly elderly people we had extremely strict rules for COVID and basically weren’t allowed to socialise outside of our flats, and because I was living with a bunch of strangers and all my lectures were online that year at University was extremely lonely and I was basically alone in my bedroom 24/7. So to pass time I re-watched MCU movies and daydreamed more and more about my DFA story and felt much less lonely dreaming about this group and so with all this time on my hands I started re-working and re-writing my original draft (which was pure 2012-2014 MCU fanfic with thor eating poptarts and clint in the walls 😂😂), even now there’s parts i think I could improve on, Its a fic I could forever work on and re-write just because the sheer length of it means my writing skills have improved over the course of writing it and it would be like one continuous loop 😂 Whoa that was long but I promise the next two won’t be 😂😂.
Memory served first came about halloween 2021 after I saw a programme on gogglebox about a woman who fell down the stairs and loses her memory of the past year and basically has to put pieces of her life back together and her family are all a little suspicious. I thought the amnesia trope was really interesting and wondered what it could be like if you lost ALL of your memories and how someone could manipulate you into living a life they’ve created and though damn that would be a great halloween mini series! So i started working and planning it for halloween 2022! It was such a difficult fic to plan and write because of the thriller and mystery elements, trying to foreshadow things but not make it obvious, throwing in red herrings to throw people off! So so difficult so I’m very proud of that miniseries!
Island paradise is from my 2.5k followers challenge (which is forever open so if you wanna get involved you can!) it was requested by the wonderful @sweater-daddiesdumbdork (who also wrote an amazing Mob!Ari for the challenge) and it was so much fun to write! I literally could not stop laughing as I wrote 😂 I was mid Glass Onion obsession so I couldn’t help throw references and I got to take a shot at Elon Musk and influencers in it which I loved 😂😂😂
Ask me for some directors commentary!

the many husbands of valletta rose cambridge
Below the cut you will find a brief history of each of Valley’s husbands, and her relationship to them.
Husband #1
tw: family death, grooming, age gap relationship
Name: Peter Hanley ( 2009 - 2011 ) Photo: Top Left His Age at the Wedding: 53 Her Age at the Wedding: 19 Relationship: Valletta (whose name at the time was still Cricket) went to live with the Hanleys after the loss of her family when she was 16. At a time when she desperately needed the support of a parental figure, she found what she thought was love with Peter, who was her best friend Leila’s father. They married when she was just 19, and he took her to Malta on their honeymoon, where she fell in love (for real) with the city of Valletta. She changed her name and moved away shortly after she got half of everything in the divorce. Where Are They Now: Remarried, living in Boston
Husband #2
tw: death, age gap relationship
Name: Arthur Neubauer ( 2012 - 2014 ) Photo: Top Right His Age at the Wedding: 87 Her Age at the Wedding: 22 Relationship: Armed with new money, a new identity, and a newfound confidence, Valley sought out sugar daddies and was overwhelmed with choice. Her favorite was a man called Arthur who lived in Miami. He was very old and very rich and absolutely resented his spoiled entitled family. He wanted nothing more than her company - and a beautiful trophy wife to wear on his arm - and both he and Valletta got exactly what they needed from the relationship. The marriage was mostly a business transaction, but the two genuinely were friends. He left everything to her when he died, much to the chagrin of his enraged family members.  Where Are They Now: Deceased
Husband #3
tw: age gap relationship, physical abuse
Name: Mitchell Whiteson ( 2015 - 2016 ) Photo: Bottom Left His Age at the Wedding: 60 Her Age at the Wedding: 25 Relationship: Valley got back into the swing of things a bit too quickly after the loss of Arthur. She was still mourning, and desperately lonely, and a bit naïve, thinking she could find another friend among the sugar daddy crowd. She met Mitchell and he was charming and confident and exorbitantly generous, and she got swept up in it. He proposed just months after they met, and they were married that same year. But it wasn’t a week after they came back from their honeymoon when he first hit her. She kept quiet and sweet, but silently gathered all the evidence she needed to get absolutely everything from him when they divorced, ten months after their wedding.  Where Are They Now: Unknown
Husband #4
Name: Jack Derian ( 2017 - 2021 ) Photo: Bottom Right His Age at the Wedding: 39 Her Age at the Wedding: 27 Relationship: Where before she’d been doing this for fun and profit, Valletta’s third marriage hardened her, and her goal while looking for a fourth was simply to steal from asshole men. She was guarded, with walls of steel and stone surrounding her heart. She got out of the sugar daddy circles and decided to look for lottery winners - cocky idiots with no financial sense, she figured. She found one called Jack Derian, and used her natural detective skills to find where he’d be that Friday night. She was immediately charmed by him, but she knew better than to trust that at this point. She was doing well with her con, and he seemed to be equally charmed by her. Everything was going according to plan. It wasn’t until he proposed that she realized she’d fucked up. The idea of divorcing Jack and taking his money, while once a thrilling thought, broke her heart to think about now. She stayed up all night in a cold sweat, staring at the ceiling while he slept soundly next to her, as she realized she was completely genuinely head over heels in love with him. She married him anyway, trying to stifle her feelings and get on with the plan. But little by little, the plan wore away, until there was nothing left of it. Valley and Jack had long late-night talks, and dinners with his family, and myriad inside jokes, and incredible sex. They stood up for each other, and supported each other, and calmed each other down. They respected each other’s opinions and needs and boundaries, and listened without judgement. In every way that mattered, Valley thought, the marriage was real now. But somehow, Jack found out the truth (or parts of it), and the entire world shattered. She didn’t fight him. She barely even tried to explain. She knew, she’d always known, that Jack deserved better. He deserved happiness, and she was holding him back from finding that. So although it broke her heart to bits, she let him go. He’s the only one from whom she didn’t take a single dime. Where Are They Now: Living in Brooklyn

Kannaur Lokesh Rahul was born in a highly educated family. His father, KN Lokesh, is a professor in Civil Engineering Department of NIT (National Institute of Technology) Karnataka and his mother Rajeshwari was a professor at Mangalore University. In fact, he spent the majority of his childhood on the campus of NIT Karnataka and it was on the grassless grounds of the college campus that he used to play cricket as a young boy. His parents identified his potential and decided to give him formal cricket coaching. The rest, as they say, is history.
KL Rahul Cricket Career
Young KL Rahul
KL Rahul started from U-19 cricket and slowly made his way into Karnataka’s first-class cricket team, making his debut in 2010. After a slow start, Rahul finally got his breakthrough season in 2012 when he was the highest run-scorer. His exploits did not go unnoticed and he was signed by IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore the very next season.
In 2014, Rahul made his Test debut for India against Australia in the memorable MCG Test. The pressure of his debut was too much for young Rahul and he gave horrible performances in both the innings. India ended up losing the match and the series.
However, in the Sydney Test, Rahul was given his usual opening spot and he made a sensational comeback with a century in his very second Test Match in National Jersey. Since then, there was no looking back for him.
KL Rahul Networth
Net worth in 2022
Rs. 81 Crore
Net worth in 2021
Rs. 64 Crores
Net worth in 2020
Rs. 52 Crores
Net worth in 2019
Rs. 41 Crores
Net worth in 2018
Rs. 34 Crore
KL Rahul’s Net Worth is a whopping $10.2 Million (Dollars) which, converted to Indian Rupees is roughly around 81 Crore Rupees. However, his net worth was understandably not this high even a few years ago. Currently, KL Rahul is in the prime of his career and it can be understood that as the days pass by, his earnings and net worth will only rise exponentially before it goes stagnant in the later years of his career.
In 2018, KL Rahul’s Net Worth was 34 Crores, in 2019, he saw a minor increase in it as it rose up to 41. The major hike in his Net Worth came only this year wherein his net worth rose all the way from 64 Crores in 2021 to 81 Crores in 2022. The massive number of Brand Deals that KL Rahul has been getting lately is one of the main reasons for this anomaly.
Let us Compare the Net Worth of KL Rahul with some other current Indian Cricketers:-
Rishabh Pant – 63 Crores
Shubman Gill – 18.50 Crores
Hardik Pandya – 77 Crores
Virat Kohli – 892 Crores
Rohit Sharma – 145 Crores
Shikhar Dhawan – 105 Crores
Ishan Kishan – 45 Crores
KL Rahul Income and Salary 2022
Let us now talk about the Income and Salary of KL Rahul. We know that a major part of the earnings of Athletes and Sportsmen come from Brand Deals but we are going to cover that in our next section. In this sub-part, we shall be discussing only about the Income that KL Rahul gets from his occupation as a cricketer.
As we all know, KL Rahul recently made a move from Punjab Kings to Lucknow Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Under his new contract as the captain and the Marquee player of Lucknow Super Giants, he gets an annual salary of Rupees 17 Crores. Furthermore, under his contract with the BCCI, KL Rahul gets Rs 7 Crores Annually for his services to the Indian National Team. This takes his total annual earning (as a cricketer) all the way up to a whopping 24 Crore Rupees.
Not many people know that apart from being one of the top cricketers for India, KL Rahul is also the Assistant Manager at the Reserve Bank of India. In 2018, he was appointed for the post upon the recommendation of the then governor. It is an honorary post but KL Rahul still gets his salary. The average salary of an RBI Assistant Manager is about 12,81,766 Rupees per year.
We should also note that over his 10 years span of playing in the Indian Premier League, he has accumulated a total wealth of around 65.10 Crores from all the franchises that he has played for.
Year Team Salary
2022 Lucknow Super Giants ₹ 17 Crore
2021 Punjab Kings ₹ 11 Crore
2020 (Retain) Kings XI Punjab ₹ 11 Crore
2019 (Retain) Kings XI Punjab ₹ 11 Crore
2018 Kings XI Punjab ₹ 11 Crore
2017 (Injured) Royal Challengers Bangalore ₹ 1 Crore
2016 (Transfer) Royal Challengers Bangalore ₹ 1 Crore
2015 Sunrisers Hyderabad ₹ 1 Crore
2014 Sunrisers Hyderabad ₹ 1 Crore
2013 Royal Challengers Bangalore ₹ 10 Lakh
Total ₹ 65.10 Crore
KL Rahul Brand Endorsements
In the last section, we estimated the income of KL Rahul but it did not include his earnings from Brand Endorsements. Well, it is usually very hard to estimate exactly how much anyone earns from promoting or endorsing a brand unless he/she himself opens up about it as these contracts between the two parties are strictly confidential. Yet, rumour has it that KL Rahul earns about 1 Crore Rupees from a single Brand Endorsement. However, these numbers are more complex than they seem and thus we can not know an exact value for how much KL Rahul earns from these brand deals in Total. However, we do know the brands that he endorses and here is a list of them all and everything you need to know about them:-
Zenovit – Zenovit is a dietary supplement brand, somewhat like Revital and KL Rahul, who has recently signed a contract with the company is now the face of it. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon formerly used to be one of the sponsors of Zenovit. KL has also shot TV commercials for some of the company’s top products and they will start to be telecasted soon. For now, the digital presence of the brand is very low.
Puma – Puma is definitely one of the topmost brands that KL endorses. He being a sportsperson himself, Puma is a brand that fits with his personality and thus he is a perfect match for the brand. We have seen KL Rahul’s face in several advertisements of Puma and we can also see him in some of their marketing labels and posters.
Cure.fit – Cure.fit is a Bangalore-based health and fitness app and they have KL Rahul as their brand ambassador. Cornerstone Sport is said to have brokered the arrangement between the two parties and they have a deal in cash and equity. Cure.fit has recently started building several high-end fitness centres in cities all over India to broaden their company’s spectrum and as KL Rahul is an equity holder of Cure.fit, he will be a huge gainer if they do end up becoming a top Start-up.
Gully – Unlike the other brands on this list, Gully has been established personally by KL Rahul in association with Zeko Online Pvt. Ltd. It is a cult streetwear fashion company which aims to build a brand by selling on its own website and also on large third-party sites like Amazon, Myntra and Flipkart. Gully makes Joggers, T-Shirts, shorts and jeans as of now. KL Rahul himself endorses Gully’s products.
RBI – Ever since IPL 2018, we have been seeing several advertisements of RBI in between breaks that aim to promote financial literacy among Indian viewers. KL Rahul and Umesh Yadav Ishan Kishan are some of the well-known cricketers that can be seen in these advertisements. However, none of these cricketers received any fee for their appearance in these advertisements. As KL Rahul is an employee of RBI, it was easier to conduct the shoots.
NUMI – Foreign brands expanding to other nations is a common thing nowadays and recently, NUMI, a French luxury eyewear branded had expanded its business to India. They have appointed the gorgeous couple – KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty as the prime faces of the company in India.
KL Rahul Lifestyle
We All know that KL Rahul likes to give it his all on the field whenever he is playing a cricket match. But how is he like off-the field? Let us talk about his lifestyle to get an idea of that.
Apartment – KL Rahul owns a luxurious apartment in Bangalorw with his own Sun Deck which also acts as the space for his personal workouts. His sun pad, and in fact his entire house is designed with intricate furnishing and he has revealed his apartment in some of his own Instagram posts. According to rumours, KL Rahul’s apartment is Rupees 65 Lakhs. However, other rumours suggest that KL Rahul and girlfriend Athiya Shetty will soon move to a lavish Rs 10 lakhs per month 4BHK apartment in Bandra.
KL Rahul Apartment
Watches – Just like his teammates Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul too is a big fan of expensive watches. Here is a list of some of the costliest watches that the cricketer owns:
Day-Date Rolex (Rs 27 lakhs)
Panerai (Rs 8 lakhs)
18K Rose Gold Sky Dweller Rolex (Rs 38 lakhs)
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (19 lakhs)
Vacation – KL Rahul loves London and Australia but his favourite places to relax are the ones that are away from crowds – prebferably having a lively coast.
Food – KL Rahul is a Non-Vegetarian and thus he prefers to eat healthy Non-Vegetarian food as he is also very health concious.
KL Rahul Pet Dog Simba
Pets – KL Rahul has a pet dog names Simba. However, he is no ordinary dog. Simba is a Chow-Chow Dog which is one of the most expensive dog breeds in the world. The Cost of a Chow-Chow Dog in India goes all the way up to 1 Lakhs. Chow-Chow Dogs are not very social dogs and they usually prefer to stay aloof from others. Although they can be aggressive towards other dogs, they are very devoted and protective of their family. They have an overweight tendency with too much rich food. KL Rahul once shared a pic of him with Simba on Instagram and it is one of his most like posts.
KL Rahul Girlfriends
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty
We all know that KL Rahul is currently in a committed relationship with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty who happens to be the daughter of Suniel Shetty. The two are also rumoured to tie knots soon and the actress also goes to most of KL Rahul’s matches.
About KL Rahul Relationships
However, Athiya Shetty was not the only star that KL Rahul was rumoured to be dating and before Athiya Shetty, there were also some other celebrities in his life. Let us see who they were:
Akansha Ranjan Kapoor – Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is best known for her works in Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Wedding Pulav. Rumours of KL Rahul dating her started a few years ago when the actress posted a picture of her with the cricketer on Social media with the caption “n I’m so good with that.” However, KL Rahul himself later debunked those rumours saying that all he wanted to do at that moment was to focus on his game.
Akansha Ranjan Kapoor
Nidhi Agerwal – When Nidhi Agerwal made her Bollywood debut back in 2017 with the movie Munna Michael, she was pretty much the talk of the nation. It was at that time that a picture of KL Rahul and Nidhi Agerwal at a Cafe went viral and the rumours started spreading. However, KL was very annoyed at these rumours. He said, “Can’t a guy and girl be friends, is it so hard?”. It later turned out that the two knew each other from their college days.
Nidhi Agerwal
Sonam Bajwa – Sonam Bajwa is a very famous and gorgeous Punjabi Actress and Model. It is said that KL Rahul used to have a huge crush on her and he even made some flirty comments on her Instagram posts back in the days. However none of the two celebrities made a public comment on the same and the story went down in vain.
Sonam Bajwa
Sonal Chauhan – Sonal Chauhan made her Bollywood debut with the insanely hit movie Jannat. She sadly did not get any major Bollywood project after that for some reason but she is one of the top models of India and is also pretty famous. Back in 2018 when India were on a tour to England, Sonal Chauhan delightfully tweeted to following on the return of KL Rahul to the Indian Team: “Feel sorry for @dineshkarthik who hasn’t yet got a game on this tour but how do you possibly leave out any of the current playing XI? Especially happy to see @klrahul11 playing. he’s too talented to ignore for long!.” This triggered dating rumours between the two but Sonal Chauhan herself later cleared out that they were not dating.

KL Rahul Biggest Controversy
KL Rahul might have a chocolate-boy image on and off the field but he has not been without controversies in his career so far. Let us look at some of the top controversies that he had put himself in:
During India’s tour of the West Indies in 2016, KL Rahul posted a picture of himself holding a beer bottle alongside Umesh Yadav and Stuart Binny in a selfie. The post went viral instantly but many of the BCCI officials did not like it. They were of the opinion that it sent a very wrong image about Indian cricketers to the fans. KL Rahul deleted the post later.
In 2017, KL Rahul got into a nasty fight with a fan on Twitter. On one fine day, Ravichandran Ashwin followed KL on Twitter and he could not hide his emotion. He humbly tweeted about how happy he was but a certain fan commented below the tweet: “ye sab chhodo…runs kaise bane usps dhyan de”. KL Rahul could not stop himself and he replied with a sarcastic tweet: “Plz Come and teach us bhai. Im sure apko pata hai kaise banate hai runs.”
Undoubtedly the biggest controversy in KL Rahul’s career started back in 2019 when he and Hardik Pandya were invited for an episode of Koffee with Karan. The two allegedly made sexist remarks in that episode and were banned for several days after that by BCCI.

April 12, 2022: Miss you. Would like to take a walk with you., Gabrielle Calvocoressi
Miss you. Would like to take a walk with you.  Gabrielle Calvocoressi Do not care if  you just arrive in your skeleton. Would love to take a walk with you. Miss you. Would love to make you shrimp saganaki. Like you used to make me when you were alive. Love to feed you. Sit over steaming bowls of pilaf. Little roasted tomatoes covered in pepper and nutmeg. Miss you. Would love to walk to the post office with you. Bring the ghost dog. We’ll walk past the waterfall and you can tell me about the after. Wish you. Wish you would come back for a while. Don’t even need to bring your skin sack. I’ll know you. I know you will know me even though. I’m bigger now. Grayer. I’ll show you my garden. I’d like to hop in the leaf pile you raked but if you want to jump in? I’ll rake it for you. Miss you standing looking out at the river with your rake in your hand. Miss you in your puffy blue jacket. They’re hip now. I can bring you a new one if you’ll only come by. Know I told you it was okay to go. Know I told you it was okay to leave me. Why’d you believe me? You always believed me. Wish you would come back so we could talk about truth. Miss you. Wish you would walk through my door. Stare out from the mirror. Come through the pipes.

Masterlist of Key’s Stuff (ongoing)
Here is a big list of stuff that Tim's been in - I’ve included everything I can think of, and will try to update if I’ve missed anything (let me know if I have!) or when any new stuff comes out. It’s split into different categories and has dates included (and sometimes channels) so that it’s easier to track down and watch/listen to things if you want to. Enjoy! :)
