Wreckers Trilogy Overlord and MTMTE Overlord are two completely different animals to me. By the way. I have a lot of thoughts on him and what he represents in the stories he’s in but if you asked for my personal thoughts on the matter I’d say I enjoyed him a ton more in Wreckers. His inclusion felt purposeful as this incomprehensibly competent and brutal antagonist—he felt more force of nature than character, and honestly? I felt he worked way better that way, especially in opposition to who the protagonists are in the series he’s involved in. Specifically in Last Stand, when we have this direct contrast between Ironfist; somebody who plays an objectively small, background role in the story of the war, and somebody of the likes of Overlord; a general, infamous in both name and nature to everybody on both sides of the war. Last Stand has and always will be a story about hope and (our concept of) “human” perseverance, and Overlord never needed to be a particularly fleshed out character to serve his purpose in getting that message across. Overlord’s presentation in Last Stand made him feel like a metaphor for the senseless violence that comes with the war, and the impersonal cruelty he extends towards the Wreckers made him feel like… just… brutality? Itself?

In MTMTE, Overlord is still dangerous, still horrifying, but he becomes something a lot closer to a “character.” He’s got more dialogue, expanded motivation, plans, grudges, errr idgaf he bites off Rewind’s head. We see more of his interiority, especially through his obsession with Megatron and whatever convoluted desire he had to best him. Which. I’ll be honest I don’t think was totally necessary. And sure, there’s merit to that exploration— especially as MTMTE focuses a lot more on the complexity of individuals, i.e Rewind and Chromedome’s reaction to his death—but I think that approach ultimately softens him. He stops being an abstract manifestation of war’s cruelty and becomes more of a person, villain or not, and that personhood somewhat undercuts the dread(?) that came with him that made him so effective in Last Stand. I don’t know if this makes sense. Awesome

Poppy: "Only a little!" 😊

Vague Echo spoilers for TJ's route

When I started playing Echo, part of my reason was a youtuber's recommendation, and I remembered her saying that the ending of Flynn's route was so emotionally devastating for the writer that they had to go on break and leave the last two routes for someone else to write. So I decided to save that one for last, and instead started with TJ's route, because he's small and cute and innocent.

As it turns out, because it took me so long to finally play Echo, I had misremembered what she said. It wasn't Flynn's ending that emotionally devastated the writer. It was TJ's. And. Um. God damn.

Dude! That’s not just a spider, it’s as big as my chihuahua! 😂

Also, pretty sure it’s a Brazilian Black which are pretty docile, but even if it was a Thai Black - which are more aggressive - they’d still rather not deal with humans. Like, you could just pick it up, put your hand down and let it walk up onto you, it’ll just sit there most of the time unless it’s already agitated. God and Diew screaming is like the worst possible thing to do when faced with a tarantula. Seriously, they’re actually not that terrible.

This is a tarantula blog now. I don't make the rules. I just post pictures of my handsome fellas.

Rider here has decided that this is a good morning to sit on his front porch! He looks so stunning- those freshly molted blues are amazing!

HARVEY INFO TIME!

Before the show ended he composed/performed a lot (if not all) of its music, background or not

he has his own stage where he performs for the kids, but it always wears him out because of how rowdy they can be (especially after its over)

luckily tisha likes helping him tidy the place up! she says she doesnt mind but he feels a LITTLE bad that shes basically obligated to help (doesnt tell her about it though)

harvey and arachne were not compatible for many, many reasons

1. the relationship wasnt really founded on love in the first place, as mutual respect and appreciation was mistook for romantic feelings

2. their clasing personalities and beliefs did not mix well at all

3. little to no communication in the relationship because harvey was too distracted with main character stuff while arachne was afraid of confronting him straight up

4. they both hold grudges (ESPECIALLY arachne), this makes them bitter and when theyre angry at eachother, they don’t speak to each other for days

even though he’s an ass because of his ego being inflated from being a main character, he really appreciates all his fans

in his dressing room behind his stage he has a bullentin board filled with posters, kids’ drawings of him, and certain letters from his fans that he treasures
