Crowner of Kings
☤ Drogo ☤ The Crowner of Kings ☤ Unknown Age ☤ Wolf School
☯Wolf School☯
Drogo was one of the few to survive the culling of the Witchers. He was not but a lad at the time, still training to become just like his mentor. He did not escape the culling without scars to prove it. His back bares the most of them, having been beaten by the broad edge of a sword as a form of entertainment before he was saved.
☯Crowner of Kings☯
Drogo earned the Nickname as the Crowner of Kings when he was a newly minted Witcher just freed from Vesemir's side. Always one to stick his nose into things that would be better of left alone, Drogo found himself in the company of a disgraced and dethroned Prince and the followers he had taken with him from their palace. While in his company, Drogo was bid to do various odds and ends though the promised coin was never given unless threats were given and the coward bowed to his whims. While visiting one of the Lord's friend and playing his role as the dutiful bodyguard, Drogo bore witness to them attempting to use a beaten and broken sorceress as a party favor - calling her a beast and a bag of flesh to which was only good for their whims before death. The little Lordling demanded that the man kill her once they were finished, stating he was there to clean up his trash whenever and however he deemed it as he had paid good gold to the witcher to do his bidding. .
It was only then that Drogo made the choice to turn on the boy, his need to protect overriding the needs of his contract (That should have, truly, been over and done with long before yet the wording had been made to keep him on leash). During the clash where he released the mages and turned on the nobles it was only after he had detained him with the help of some of the staff that the man decreed he was to be Crowned King, and that he was to remain there until he was to do his bidding - hoping that a reminder to the ill worded contract would serve to make the witcher change sides.
Agreeing that his contract did say that he would help the Prince until he received a Crown, Drogo took any and all gold he could find within the room, tossed it into one of the empty pots over the flame until it had melted. He then poured it over the Prince's head 'crowning' him and thus ending the contract. The barbaric nature of his kill made the monkier "Crowner of Kings" his trademark title.

I as much as I love skyrim I genuinely wish it was more darker, imagine instead of the dragonborn being celebrated for being this hero they were feared and shunned, jarls don't allow you in because they think you'll attract dragons, people fear you and see you as this freak.
If i had a chance to rewrite skyrim, first thing I'd do is mix the civil war quest with the main quest, and make the first dragon appear at the battle of whiterun. Helgen was covered as a raid gone wrong because people won't believe there's a dragon attack! And when you finally defeat the first dragon you're not praised for it, you're feared, they see you as one of them.
The moment people find out you're the dragonborn they ask you to leave, or maybe even insult you, despite you saving them.
The fucked up part is that they kinda leaned into it, they just. Didn't do anything about it. Yknow when you shout in a city and the guards ask you to keep it down because you're SCARING THE TOWNSFOLK?
I kinda like how they did it in morrowind, the people hate you despite you trying to save them, it's not till you kill dagoth ur that they actually see you as a hero, rather than it being handed it to you at the beginning of the game from some guard.
And it could have ties to dawnguard as well, serana being the only person who actually understands, the dlc couldve been about for the first time you wanna save someone not out of some existential burden of prophecy but because you actually want to.
and imagine if it takes place after the main quest and the dragonborn wanders without purpose, Scorned by the people they saved. and they finds meaning in going on with serana but for once, not out of romance, but a genuinely a platonic connection.
And even the dragonborn dlc could've been something about you and miraak, two sides of the same coin or SOMETHING
I dunno, there could've been so many ways for the dragonborn to be interesting but they went with the power fantasy route.

:: conversations in the dark // emiel regis x geralt of rivia // for @bloodandwhite ::
⸻
It was quiet here. There was a certain peace and tranquility that often accompanied time spent with Geralt in the evenings. Here in the Mère-Lachaiselongue Cemetery they would have to part ways, though. They knew as much, had said as much earlier while they chatted over a roaring fire and hooch.
While the witcher slept, Regis lost himself to dark and somber thoughts. He had to go. The loneliness bit away at him, eager to have him walking a different path so it could torment him relentlessly, no doubt. He loathed the way it made his stomach turn. It was time to leave. Toussaint was no longer safe for vampires. His thoughts inevitably turned to Dettlaff, disgusted with the way the entire situation had played out. Things could have gone so differently. He could have lived.
He cursed beneath his breath as he packed his things, daring to glance Geralt's way one last time. "Have a good life, my friend," he murmured quietly, thankful for the man's restful sleep, before misting away.

The only good part of this mess was meeting you.~
I feel like Claude Monet, but instead of sea roses I somehow started to always do these fantasy trees and flowers artworks. >.< They absolutely deserve a happy end. Please give them one.~
