"She's dead if Superman finds her. Let's take her in... maybe she'll change if we try."

Your view is innocent and surprisingly your idea works.

You would be a big help with leading Harley onto the right path.

Harley has somewhat of a clingy nature, especially since she respects the fact you think she could change.

Working alongside Batman makes you and Harley members of the Justice League.

As you decided to take her in that makes you in charge of keeping her in check with training.

In a way I feel Harley would be rebounding with her darling due to the abusive "relationship" her and Joker shared.

You'll notice the start of it when she comes off a bit too strong about her curiosity towards you.

I have a feeling she has a fact acting obsession due to her mental state.

She may be changing for the better thanks to you and Batman, but I feel Joker's treatment influences her obsession.

The issue you mostly see is her clingy behavior.

By this point in the story Harley has succeeded in making her own person, now going by Harleen after she's taken in by you.

Her quickly forming obsession may also put you off.

"What's wrong, sugar? Am I bit too much for you?"

It's easy to see her obsession as her just being affectionate.

The relationship between the two of you is really blurred because of how she acts with you.

She often comments she likes being a "good guy" because she gets to be around someone "as cute as you!"

Harley would treat her darling with care due to what she's gone through with Joker.

She's also not quiet about her obsession and many can tell there's something that's not friendship between you.

Harley is often playful with you during training, whenever she bests you she teases you and doesn't let you get off the ground at times.

It's jarring how fast she develops romantic feelings for you, most likely due to her past experiences and her believing you've "saved" her.

Concerning, too, as you have no idea how fo properly help her clingy behavior.

She's a bit too touchy with her affection to make you think she's just being friendly-

Examples include pulling you into her lap during Brother Eye work or cornering you just to get close to you.

It's soon very obvious Harley is trying to push your bond with each other into something it's not.

She likes you romantically, you see her as an ally.

"Be professional, Harleen."

"Aww... did Bats tell you to say that? Come on, baby... we can still have fun on the job!"

I would not be surprised if Harley did try to nudge you into a relationship despite being loyal to Batman's side now.

You're nothing like Joker, while part of her misses him... she doesn't need him.

In fact she loves you for the sake of you're nothing like him.

So now she only wants you.

You could consider Harley pushy when it comes to asking you for a relationship.

She tries to back down when you ask but it doesn't seem like her emotions are getting any better.

Harley would be a yandere to get jealous.

She may even head into possessive territory with how she acts.

Harley has already spilt blood, buckets of it.

She's a change person now but the urge is still there.

Said urges tend to bubble up when she sees you close to someone that isn't her.

Harley may have sworn off killing, but never violence.

Harley sees you two as partners, teammates, possible lovers...

Seeing you so close to another feels like her heart is being torn apart.

She has to relieve the stress somehow, right?

Harley may show violence towards those her delusional mind feels is taking you from her.

She's teasing while doing it, holding her bat up high while promising she won't kill them.

Her obsession causes her previous violent tendencies to situate themselves back in her mind with a new purpose.

"Messed with the wrong girl, should've thought about keeping your hands to yourself!"

It'll just be a quick visit to the hospital until they clear their head and stay away from you.

Harley excuses her violent tendencies as not quite giving up her old ways with you!

They deserved it, maybe you should teach her?

Punish her even?

Wouldn't that be cute and romantic?

There's going to be a point her behavior is unbearable.

The moment she starts showing possessive and violent attachment you're in too deep.

It happens quickly, too.

Harley won't let go of your waist and often just leans on you.

Her hold is tight and possessive, she even jokes about putting a collar on you like her hyenas.

At this point she's establishing a relationship if you said yes or not.

Her delusional mind has already decided you're dating, so she makes it a point to kiss you and squeeze you as much as she wants.

After all, you two are so close, right?

You start to wonder if you made a mistake taking her in.

Especially when Harley distracts you from work by sitting on your lap, soon holding you close and kissing your face with her lipstick.

She doesn't like taking no for an answer.

You two are a team, she promises never to hurt you and only wants to make you feel warm and fuzzy!

Harley says she just wants to be the best for you and clings to the attention you give her... she says she won't hurt you...

Yet you have a feeling if you let this continue her feelings will soon become the reverse version of her past relations.

"Come on, sugar... I know ya love me like I do you!"

Damn that's my first time requesting something and I'm actually nervous, so it's about that nightmare thing I talked about, so maybe I thought you could write something (like anything it can be very short), IF you can write for Choso (if you don't i get it) comforting reader after a very realistic nightmare and reader is still scared after waking up because it was basically taking place in that same room and still feels like they're in the nightmare (I don't know if it's clear, but basically waking up still scared and having trouble calming down and feeling reassured because what if it's real)

this is my first time writing choso (and anything nightmare related in general) so forgive me if he’s ooc😭😭 and im also sorry this is a bit short, ive been pretty swamped with finals

you shot up in bed scrambling for your glasses, your blanket pooling around your knees as cursed energy rushed to your raised fists, ready to fight.

“sweetheart?” came a rumbling voice from next to you, making you flinch.

“hey, hey, its just me. just choso. whats wrong honey?” your boyfriend’s words were followed by a warm hand gently tugging you back into a sleeping position.

he pulled your face into his chest, careful to not smoosh your glasses, a soothing hand running across your back.

“nightmare?”

you nodded, letting yourself fall limp in his hold, trusting choso enough to take care of any threat.

“you wanna talk about it baby?” he asked, as he leant back to look at you in the dim lighting provided by the barely cracked open door of the bathroom.

“not really.”

he hummed, gently taking your glasses off to rest them on the dresser on his side of the bed, switching on the lamp while he was at it.

“the light make you feel safer?”

“yeah”

you could tell he wanted to say something else, but you really didnt want to talk about the horror plaguing your dreams.

your bedroom was supposed to be your sanctuary and the stupid nightmare had ruined every ounce of safety you felt in your bed.

you tugged your boyfriend closer, hand reaching up to tangle in his hair, that he’d started letting down from his ponytails while slept.

he draped his arms around your waist protectively, something he did often, especially in public (you’d come to learn that he was incredibly protective of people he held close to his heart)

“i gotchu,” he mumbled into your hair.

you sighed shakily against the crook of his neck, a few tears escaping your eyes as the adrenaline wore off.

before you could register the loss of his warm hands from your waist, his thumb was gently wiping away the tears from your face and pressing a kiss to your forehead.

he held your face, thumbs catching the wetness as it fell, kissing you gently, and staying there until you stopped crying.

“cmere,” he said, rolling you over his chest to his side of the bed, further away from the door, “no facing the door tonight, ‘kay? we’ll keep the lamp on so its less scary for you, yeah sweetheart? and if you still cant fall asleep, ill stay up with you.”

8 BL BOYS I WILL THROW HANDS FOR

Uea (Bed Friend)

This show isn't jokingly called 'A Tale of 1000 Traumas' for no reason, I mean – there is only so much one young adult can go through, and Uea has been through... well, almost everything. Tagging hurt/comfort fics on AO3 will result into red triggers all around. What fascinates me in this character is his resilience, too. He managed to go through everything with the sheer will power and knowing his own worth, what he deserves and what he does not. I am so glad the show made an active choice to send him to therapy and give him a considerate and loving boyfriend! He really needs both.

Sky (Love in the Air)

Again, no surprise that everyone would want to protect Sky. The acting was also chef's kiss in this show, I know I shouldn't be but I absolutely enjoyed seeing Sky getting triggered and sent to the red-lit room in his mind because this was pure cinematography, but irl I would just hug Sky with consent and never let him go. And kick Gun until he never rises up again too. I think Rain should've been given full freedom to avenge for his best friend. But this is also why I'm writing all these skyrain fics – because they are safe space for each other and I want to keep seeing it.

Rain (Love in the Air)

Ehem, like I said– the show has not declared it loudly but he's one of the most ADHD characters in Thai BLs if I ever saw one. He does not deserve to be mocked for his struggles and airheadness. I wish we saw more of him playing into his strengths beside taming a dom, instead of being infantilized by the show sometimes. Don't ask me to dive into full analysis though, I only could watch the PayuRain half of the show once so I'm going off vibes I remember, but I absolutely adore Rain and love reading fics that focus on his ADHD headcanon and how others understand and help him. And also those platonic BDSM tendencies he has with his best friend Sky.

Kawi (Be My Favorite)

For this guy, I would not fight the show or narration because they treated both characters and viewers with care, gentleness, wise teaching and love (Max is a harsh brat but that's his personality). I would actually fight the fandom: from people who hate-watched this show and refused to acknowledge it was amazingly done further than 'i might've liked it but ew screw this actor and novel the show was inspired by amiright don't judge me for liking it jk lol' to some individuals who missed the beautifully developed and portrayed close bond (aspec on at that, I'll stay firm) that spread across >10 years and different timelines and reduced Kawi to immature whiny weirdo who's scared to fuck Pisaeng ten times a day instead of one, idk. This show is a gem with many life-lessons and Kawi has one of the strongest and fascinating character development in Thai BLs that I've seen. Hands are being thrown.

Boston (Only Friends)

The creators of the show said the series didn't have any intentional message, but considering how many long discussions and poured out frustrations we had with some people, Only Friends definitely did Boston wrong. So what if he's a proud slut, should the show punish him for it while praising 'righteous' characters high on their horses? I don't think so. My guy was constantly filmed illegally and threatened by his hookups and friends, he's very hesitant about falling in love but he tried his best with clearly spoken offers, poly views and limits. I also see Boston kinda neurodivergent and/or demiromantic based on many lines he said about himself and his own view of people and relationships in the series. Nick might not be fully compatible with him, and I would throw hands for both of them, but if those two would communicate better, there would be no need for the OOC "twist" at the end. Their story could be beautiful, sad and realistic, instead Boston being kicked down in the street dirt by everyone after opening up about his heart and fears made me angry.

Akk (The Eclipse)

These descriptions just keep getting longer and longer? Oops... I don't think I need to explain the desire to protect Akk – this guy has not stopped crying since a mischievous and passionate newbie managed to break through his 100m thick wall of composure, pokerface and sheer will to survive. And also through all the manipulation Akk faced from the people he looked up to. Akk and everything that he went through managed to rip my heart out, and I'm not kidding. If you're repressed, oppressed and/or struggling with money, desire to make your parents proud and can't help but feel 'disapproved' feelings for someone – meet Akk, he's very relatable. I'd protect him and you too.

Thua (The Eclipse)

*clears throat* I did say this post would get controversial. I can and I will consider 90% of the people who hate Thua as lacking media literacy :D But without getting into useless fandom discussions, Thua is a poor teenager that needs love and support to be able to find himself and his own voice. He's stressed out by a harsh step-father, constantly facing homophobia and mocking in school, has suicidal intentions and the only good friend who opposed homophobic students and teachers, who showed him safe space and helped reach out to his mother, encouraged him to speak out loudly... went behind everyone's back, started dating the main "bully" of the school who threatened every queer for months and decided to support him while silencing students' and Thua's voices. At least that's what Thua experienced from his POV. Would you throw hands? Thua did, and while I may not agree with how he handled the situation, I can't hate him. He finally stood up for himself and his own, tried to change the system, and I'd fight Suppalo school for him too.

Black (Not Me)

There's someone who doesn't need my protection at all! A second before turning into bloody merciless activist-fighter who doesn't shy away from murdering capitalists and cops, I would still want Black not to think he's better off alone. While antagonistic sexually-tense exchange of comas with his ex-best friend can count as one of the most delicious type of romance that happened in subtext not text, he still deserved to seek solace in his ex-girlfriend and (ex? they were so close, why Gram does not care about him at all when he returns? we'll never know) other activist friend's company. Also, fighting with his life to change something in how the country works and hearing 'nah, your twin is better, he knows how to fight with social media so we achieved more with him than with you' from his mentor and Black deciding that he should again ditch everyone he cares about...noo:( I need spin-off about him where he gets everything he really deserves.

'Tale of Winter and Spring' another goyuu arranged marriage fic that might just become a fave despite some reservations of mine!!! Let me explain!!! (Rec Review and thoughts)

This review was so sweetly requested by the actual author and lovely mutual of mine @star2112 (really love their name for some reason). So with that context and their permission I'll be going a bit more in depth, and letting them know where I feel they could improve upon. I do keep in mind that many ao3 authors aren't from the pro writing background so I'll be super gentle.

But before we get to that I will give you a quick summary and listing out the fic's strong points (and there are a lot (✿ ♡‿♡)

CW for review and the story itself: there will be spoilers in this rev so if you want to read it before hearing my thoughts go ahead and follow the link in the title. The story involves mpreg, omegaverse and dub con.)

Tale of Winter and Spring is set in historical Japan as all good fics should be, where Yuuji is given away to Gojo by his older brother Sukuna. Thing is Yuuji is in love with next heir of the Zenin clan, Megumi and he's very, very, very unhappy with what's happening. Nevertheless he goes through it all with some very un-Yuuji like gloom )don't worry, we'll get to that). Its an ongoing fic so we don't know the end or which direction the plot itself is taking but for now there's a whole lot of intrigue and hints of Geto coming into the picture to ruin (or maybe not ruin) everything happening.

There's a handful of things that made this story a bit challenging to read but one of the many things I have to give props to is the development of the FushIta relationship side of Yuuji's story. I don't hate FushIta but it's one of many jjk ships that makes me grit my my teeth when it's not a side story in a goyuu ntr fic. So reading the development of their bond here… actually made me kick my feet a bit, is the author a FushIta shipper in disguise??? We'll never know ig ¯_(ツ)_/¯

There's the flashback scene where they're talking about books they read and after some banter Yuuji's like,

"hey megumi… in the future, let's go North, and see if those demons are real or not."

And I felt that, especially since Yuuji does end up going North (Gojo's Clan location if I remember correctly) but Megumi isn't there with him and it's much colder and lonely for him since he can't relate to Satoru at all.

Genuinely almost sobbed ಥ‿ಥ

Another thing I did enjoy was Sukuna's backstory and part of me really wanted more of it and him. It's said he got his hands dirty but I'd love to know what exactly this entails as it would really add more depth to the evilness of his character which is mostly told but not shown. It's easy to so say oh this character does evil things and imply that constantly but harder to display those evil things and show them doing the tragedies that solidify them in the reader's mind like 'yeah, this dude is the worst'. Example, Sukuna throughout the entirety of jjk lollll.

And there was an opportunity for the story to show one of such things which I'll get to in the critique part of this review.

I also really love the characterization which is very important you're making and alternate world. You don't always have to put characters in roles they'll fit but one thing I do like is when a they reflect that role with their canon personalities. And I know someone's already going "well fanon doesn't care about canon" which is fine and true but realistically many fanfic readers, myself included aren't into ooc content. What counts as ooc does vary from person to person tho, especially bc different people interpret characters differently.

Despite the various interpretations there is a common way a character is viewed and enjoyed, which is why, despite how much I enjoyed reading, there was something about Yuuji that constantly…called out to me.

I'm getting into the critique section now to talk about that. Where the writing shines in dialogue and interesting world building, it's kind of falls back in consistency.

Somewhere at the start, in the wedding scene, Utahime says they all have high expectations of Yuuji putting Gojo in his place with kind of indicates a firey kind of attitude but up until this point Yuuji has being quiet and avoidant and kind of continues to be until some of the later chapters. So it's weird she puts this responsibility on him when his character hasn't shown any signs of it. It's not one of more glaring instances but it's one that precedes a few others.

There's another part where Yuuji apologizes for speaking angrily, but Gojo says he doesn't have to because he knows he's the problem. Yuuji's internal thoughts proceed to view that as his apology being discarded which don't exactly make sense to me and ends up feeling like he's looking for reasons to be nitpicky at this point.

Character building isn't a huge problem but it's always the little things that manage add to the overall picture. There's a scene where Sukuna wants to take Yuuji to the Zenin clan and Wasuke doesn't want him to bc everyone thinks Sukuna wants to sell him off. Thing is Sukuna says he's not depraved enough to use an omega child like that but in my opinion it would have done his story and Yuuji's a greater service for him openly consider it and hold that over Yuuji's head for good behavior. He's evil, even if he'd actually never do it, evil people say evil shit.

With all this talk about characters it's time I finally expand on what really got to me and that would be Yuuji. My baby boy is literally all over the place. Yuuji canonically is a very social characters, eager to please and more ready than usual to give other's the benefit of a doubt. Here he's very quick to judge and overly guarded to me.

Now, I'm not saying has to overly friendly either but there's a balance that could struck with him not insulting or assuming things of Gojo constantly, and yeah the white haired bastard doesn't make it especially easy but one of Yuuji's admirable traits is his fortitude and patience with those around him.

Nevertheless, a part of me does think this was a stylistic choice to convey the disparity of Yuuji's behavior with his two love interests; Yuuji is only truly his best self with Megumi and the worst with Gojo. And understanding this, I was able to look past his behavior with the hope and interest of seeing both him and Gojo warm up to each other.

Also, did I mention it's still a mystery why Gojo asked for Yuuji's hand in marriage. Either that or it was mentioned that it's bc of his scent and I forgot (I've been through a lot this week forgive me (〒﹏〒)

My final critique is the writing structure and grammar. Grammar and writing are like 80% of a fic for me. If I don't vibe, no matter how interesting the concept I just might not read.

Thing is, I do vibe with Star2112's writing a lot, it simple yet beautiful in the way in which it conveys the emotions and moods of the story and characters. I enjoyed reading the scene where Yuuji freaks out cuz Gojo didn't spend the wedding night with him and now it may harm his reputation and Sukuna's. I enjoyed every FushIta interaction and I most definitely enjoyed when towards the ending of chapter 8, Yuuji allows Gojo to touch his belly and feel the baby while the Alpha spoke it (also Gojo wants to be a girl dad and that made me throw my phone across the room screaming cuz cuuuute (●♡∀♡)!!!!)

What I didn't enjoy was the structure of the sentences.

"Sentences work like this," Ren says. ✅

" Not like this, " They add. ❌

Figuring out how dialogue and quotations work are a big step for every author's writing journey, it's common not to know if you end with commas of full stops but for the most part, that doesn't really matter. Leave no spaces between the quoted sentence and the quotations marks and always start a new statement with a capital, doesn't matter if it was a continuation of what they were saying in a previous sentence.

Capital.

Grammar-wise, there were a lot of frequent errors but none to glaring and they could all be fixed with a more thorough read through. It can be pretty hard without a beta reader bestie but I believe you, there's so much talent for you not to give the best reading experience you're able to.

Overall, this is definitely a fic I would recommend to avid arranged marriage goyuu fans that love the DRAMA (and if you're like me who likes to read Megumi getting cucked, tho it's not exactly cheating here we'll manage ( ꈍᴗꈍ)💕

At the end of the day, a lot of this advice is partly objective, all authors are free to take what they feel they want to work on and leave the rest. Or leave it all because what matters about writing and fanfiction is that you enjoy what you do. Other's enjoying it is just a bonus/by product.

And to Star2112, you're doing so good, keep it up, I'm subbed and ready to see more, especially if I'll get to read goyuu raising their kid or kids, I'm a sucker for 'oop it's twins'. I'd also encourage you to read more books outside fanfic if you don't if you're still interested in dialogue and sentence structure. You have a strong voice and I think working on your weak points will really amplify that. I'm honored you came to me and hope I was able to help.

Hello everyone!! You can call me Ghost, I'm a 21 y/o cis woman looking for some more RP partners! I've only been RP-ing for a year, but I've been writing for much longer than that, so I've got ample experience. First off I'd like to list off some important rules:

- you must be 18+, no minors!

- NO realistic FCs! I can only work with picrewed or drawn FCs, or whatever art you find, I'm fine with that too!

- I almost exclusively do fandomless OC x OC! I'm into quite a few anime, so if we find the inspiration, we might do CC x CC as well, but my main focus is the former.

- I don't do doubling! I prefer that me and my partner both find something that we both enjoy without the pressure of "giving back" and all that. If there's an OC you've been wanting to use though, please let me know as I'd love to find a character who'd be fun to write with yours!

- I also have a tendency to make OCs on the fly – I love thinking up fun character dynamics and making OCs that would fit that!

- I can do anything from semi-lit to advanced/novella. I prefer more/longer paragraphs, but sometimes the RP can be more fun when it's shorter. Also, you don't have to match every reply, just give me something I can work with!

- I write 3rd person present or past.

Essentially I'm depressed always but there's spikes to it. Most of the time it's low level enough to do things normally. But sometimes it spikes up where I can't do things I enjoy, like playing games or rping.

I've already been fairly depressed in December and January (from the holiday season and personal/family issues) so it's not surprising after being able to deal with all of that I'm now hit with the depression on full force.

I'm not asking for pity this time, or ass pats. It's just to explain why I've been doing more rp memes than the normal responses I've been usually doing.

It's enough that I've even put Kaveh in a sort of unannounced hiatus, which is sad bc I still love and adore writing him. And I think I can still write more about him. But I also gotta be realistic and be honest with myself and others.

you can call me pin, any pronouns and I'm 20. I've been roleplaying for I think 6 years, give or take some. I've never been much into fandoms but something about building up characters and a world together is so lovely to me. I love collaborative projects and roleplay has always been one of those things that scratches an itch in my creative and writer soul.

I am new to rp here and using discord for rp. I've always used rp apps but most of them are seemingly fizzling out, time to find some footing and learn how things work more here and such.

I love to write, I may go overboard but I'd hope rp partners try to keep up to some degree. I never mind shorter, slower or less detailed responses (life happens, don't stress!). As long as our hearts are in it and the story is moving in a way we both enjoy I'm happy.

for the most part I usually do modern day settling rps but I always love to hear ideas for any type of fantasy or otherwise non realistic plots! I tend to have a lot of half baked ideas that I'd love to talk through and build up together. Even if an idea isn't finished we can just start and go with the flow, ooc chats about plans are always more than welcome if you please.

bonus tidbit; I'll always play any gender of character and am good with any pairings of gender, or lack thereof. I do have a preference for MxF, FxF, MxNB, FxNB, NBxNB pairings but that's just on account of my MxM being quite rusty.

romance, grit, angst and anything a bit fluffy is always a plus to me. I love me some slowburn romance more than anything, watching the relationship (in any manor) build up is always so so lovely. I do have to say, from what I've encountered in my time roleplaying most all rps end up a bit lewd/nsfw. I'm never against nsfw and such in rps (check my first rule ofc) but I would always prefer to go over if it's something that's to happen, given the right build-up, what an rp partner would want to bring up as well as things they want to avoid.

if you have any advice, how does one get over a mental roadblock for creating self indulgent content like drawing or writing self inserts interacting with characters i like? i have managed to make some things, but for some reason there's Something in my brain that's stopping me from doing everything i'd want to. idk if it's some sort of "this is embarrassing" thing or if i'm worried i'll portray the canon character as OOC??? even though most of it is only seen by me so that wouldn't even matter

Hmmm this is difficult because it really depends on what is blocking you, and that can easily be multiple things. So I guess the first step is to try and pinpoint where in the process you begin to feel weird about things, and address it from there.

Some of the hangups I faced for reference:

Do I feel like I don't deserve to be treated well? Do I feel like I'm not realistically likeable? Do I feel guilty for spending time & energy creating something "juvenile?" These are all very personal and you just kinda need to self-reflect to unpack them.

Also, since I tend to like mean characters, I usually have to contrive A Situation where they'd end up liking me-- AND where I'd end up liking THEM, because as much as I like them from an outaide view, I truly DON'T love to hang out with Assholes.

This isn't strictly necessary, but if you find yourself really hung up on OOC-ness (I ALWAYS do, lol) then changing the circumstances of the interaction may help.

Examples: Loki tries to trick me only to find out I knew SOMETHING was up the whole time and just went along with it because I thought I had nothing to lose anyways. A curse of psychic visions of armageddon give me the knowledge and desperation to save Dr. Octavius' life. Fun stuff like that.

Hi, call me Nei! I'm a 21 year old female student with just a little over a year of RP experience, though I've been writing for a lot longer than that. Ever since I got into the RP scene, I've been itching to write with others and finally let some of that brainrot escape it's fleshy prison. I try my best to be friendly and understanding, and I don't want or plan to get into any internet (and especially Tumblr) drama. I just wanna write!

I like to chat OOC when I vibe with my RP partners, and I'm prone to gushing about the characters, sending songs and playlists relevant to the RP, making Pinterest boards, sharing memes, and so on! I'd appreciate it if my partner shared the enthusiasm, but I get that that just isn't for everyone, and as long as the RP is fun and consistent, and my partner is respectful and understanding, I don't mind a more chill OOC experience.

♠ RULES ♠

Standard DNI criteria. MAPs, TERFs, racists, and other assholes, get the fuck off my blog.

You must be 18+. As I am an adult myself, I don't feel comfortable writing with minors regardless of the contents of the RP. I also prefer to write with people no older than 30.

I mainly write over Discord. I say mainly because I haven't yet decided if I'm going to make RP sideblogs for specific characters! I'll update this post if I do, but generally I don't RP outside of Discord. Additionally, I like making a private server for easier organization, and I like using Tupperbox. If you don't know what that is or how to use it, I'd be more than happy to teach you! But Tupperbox is not a must.

NO REALISTIC FCs. This might seem like a strange rule, but I simply cannot do RP when the faceclaim is a real person. This goes not only for actors, singers, and other celebrities, but really any photos of real people. You can use picrew or neka, or your own art, or even art you found on the internet. (I'm cool with using photos of real life outfits and stuff for reference, though!)

I write fandomless OC x OC, and sometimes CC x CC. I'll list my fandoms later, but generally speaking, I'm currently comfortable writing only a few canon characters.

My preferred ships are MxM and FxF, and I can also do ships with NB and genderfluid characters. I can do MxF as well, but I vastly prefer queer relationships, and I'll only do MxF if I really feel like it fits the RP. I hope you'll understand! Also: ships don't have to be romantic, I enjoy platonic and familial relationships as well, including friends, found family, and even enemies.

I write third person past and present, and I don't accept RP written in first person.

I can write anywhere from semi-lit/literate to novella. It depends on my mood and what the scene requires. Currently, I'm very busy, so I can only do shorter replies – around 2-3 short paragraphs, and likely not super detailed. Please just use good grammar.

Currently, I DON'T do NSFW. I'm comfortable with flirting and intimacy, but I prefer fading to black when it comes to sex scenes. It kind of depends on the RP and my partner if I'm willing to do more, because I need to feel comfy with writing it first!

I don't double. I know doubling means different things for different people, but however you define it, I don't do it.

My activity varies, as I am in college so sometimes life gets stressful or I get busy. I'll likely do at least 2-3 replies a week, though. At least one reply a week is what I ask from my partner.

Limits and triggers will be discussed before the RP.

Work with me when plotting! I CANNOT plot alone or figure out characters alone, if you're going into this with no plot or character ideas whatsoever, we're gonna have a difficult time figuring out what to write.

♦ WHAT DO I WRITE? ♦

I do both angst and fluff.

I like a lot of genres and settings! I have some plots in mind but I'd love to hear what you have to offer! The genres include: fantasy (high, medieval, victorian...), victorian settings, modern, sci-fi, supernatural, horror/thriller, futuristic, slice of life, and more.

I'm open to dark subject matter/whump. Since I enjoy horror, I also enjoy dark and gritty themes, as well as things that might be upsetting to explore. So long as we're both being mature about it, there shouldn't be a problem. This will, of course, be discussed in detail before we start writing.

I'm prone to making OCs on the fly or repurposing existing OCs, so even if I don't have an OC for our specific RP, I can make one in a matter of several days.

But I'm worried that I'll make the characters too ooc, and the last thing I want to do is just completely misinterpret them and take away their key personality traits. i think you should go for it, one hundred percent 🫶

write your ideas, no matter what they are. as long as you tag properly and show effort—someone will love your work. posting seems daunting, and trust me, i totally understand the anxiety of putting yourself out there. but you're not alone; me and every single fanfic writer has felt that way, i'm sure.

but y'know what? who cares about judgment. writing is an art form, whether it's silly cod drabbles or Shakespearean plays. if you feel passionate enough to spend precious time writing, tuning, and brainstorming a piece—you deserve to have it be seen, no matter how "small" the audience is. and that's one of the few things i enjoy about tumblr; there's a post/blog for everyone!

focus on the writing that keeps it a fun hobby, always. be mindful of what your followers want/enjoy but remember that you're doing this for free!! basically what i'm saying is, you have to push yourself and hit post. it might be a slow burn, or you'll be a lucky one and have your first few posts blow up.

either way, you wrote something and were brave enough to share it with the internet (a very, very scary place. not to mention certain parts of this fandom).

as for tips on characterization, i heavily recommend you take inspiration from other media. watch your favorite show, read your favorite book — and think 'that fits ___ really well' or 'this character has a similar personality to __, i'll remember that for reference'. and don't be afraid to steal lines from the game/media and put it in your writing!! it's an underused easter egg that i love!!

i'm not sure if my advice makes sense. when it comes to what's ooc or not, i've always had a good mind for it—knowing what fits and doesn't, what is realistic or isn't. (and i'm by no means claiming that i'm a master at it. trust me, i'm not.) that might not be the case for you, and that's okay. strengths and weaknesses are what make art, art.

stick with your gut. don't be afraid to spend extra time re-working dialogue; you're on your own schedule, and it's better to like what you've written than rush it and not. remember that it's only fiction. and it's fiction that you are taking time out of your day to work on, might i add. at the end of the day, if you're tagging things properly and being respectful—who the fuck cares that you put price in a catsuit? or made gaz hate oranges? yeah, exactly.

i hope i didn't ramble too much for you, anon. and i apologize if this advice doesn't have a sliver of sense to it. I wish you the best of luck with writing & sharing your work. 💗💗💗

I'm angry about Ted leaving to go back to Kansas but thinking about it, it is in character? Ted is not a person that would ask his ex wife and son to uproot their entire lives to go to London for him he is however, the type of person to put his own wishes and happiness on the back burner to make his loved ones happy. Also, realistically coaches usually don't stay coaches long, so it doesn't make since to ask his family to move to London when he might not have that job forever? So yeah Ted leaving sucks but it does make since if you think about it. Perhaps we will get a special with him coming back to Richmond one day? I can't wait for all the fix it's that are coming tho!

You and me both, anon!!! I fully plan to immerse myself in fic this weekend, as I know the speedy writers will have gotten at least some stuff up by then :D And I never thought about a special... Honestly, I've been praying for a Season Four after that ending (even though it would feel weird after the show "finished") but hell yeah, I'd take a short, canonical special to patch at least some of this up.

Regarding his characterization, I do think Ted has made great strides when it comes to speaking up for his own wants and needs. Just this season I'd point to things like his judicious use of the Diamond Dogs (turning to others for advice before making big decisions, something he notably didn't do with Kansas), his playful "You know how I feel about winning and losing, Trent" (acknowledging his newfound balance between striving for professional goals and people pleasing), and his entire speech to his mom, complete with cursing her out multiple times (recognizing when he hasn't been treated well and acknowledging that with full emotion behind it, rather than trying to bury it all behind a smile). I think that last one is nicely paralleled with what Beard and the others think is happening with Ted and Nate. Meaning, they believe Ted is once again burying his anger and feelings of betrayal, not realizing that he's already worked through his disappointment and come out on the side of forgiveness. The point though is that until Beard realizes that Nate is simply him X number of years ago -- a friend of Ted's who betrayed him and now needs a second chance -- he continually calls Ted out on (supposedly) burying those emotions and the need to acknowledge them.

All of which is to say that one of the (smaller) reasons why the Kansas ending hurts is because it does feel like Ted has gone backwards in terms of his growth... but I do get where you're coming from. 100%. Ted remains an incredibly self-sacrificial person, even after all the work he's done, so I think we could make a case for him being averse to putting Michelle and Henry out like that, or even putting them in the position of making a choice by saying, "I've decided to stay, you decide whether you'll move here or we'll keep this long distance." So yes, it's potentially in character for Ted -- or at least a Season One/Two version of Ted -- but that still leaves the rest of the cast OOC as a result. If Kansas was meant to stem from the flaw we've seen Ted embodying since day one -- AKA putting aside his own happiness to make it easier on someone else -- then EVERYONE should be calling him out on it. He has a support system now that is tailor-made to spot Ted's unique pitfalls and, like they've done in the past, gently and even not-so-gently correct him. If this was Ted's line of thinking, I would expect the writing to have him verbally acknowledge that at some point, leading to one of Rebecca's exclamations of "Bullshit!" Roy going, "That's fucking stupid." Beard muttering an "Oh my god" and looking like he's reading to kill him, a la the Paris assumption. Higgins shaking his head, Trent hesitantly raising a hand with a pointed correction, Keeley coming in with a bucket-load of concern, the team all sharing confused mutterings as they try to work through this ridiculous perspective, Ted's actual therapist getting to talk to him for the first time in an age and providing professional insight.

It might be in character for Ted to self-sacrifice like that, but it's out of character for everyone else to just let him do it. So we're left with this strange, dual reading of a) Ted is Totally Happy about going back to Kansas... he just doesn't look or sound or act like it. Funny that! or b) Ted is Very Unhappy about going back to Kansas and everyone around him (with the exception of Rebecca a bit) just shrugs and accepts that when they've never let Ted wallow in his self-damaging decisions before.

As for the other bit, I don't know anything about coaching, but I do know that Ted Lasso has played too fast and loose with those rules for it to really matter. I don't think we can argue for realism now when we started this whole story with a totally unqualified American football coach getting hired, the kitman is made a coach in like a year, Roy accepts his job by dramatically walking onto the pitch in the middle of a game... Even if coaches don't last very long irl, it's not like the show has ever adhered to such real world rules before, so there's no reason for them to start informing our reading of the story now.

This is an extremely long shot, but I'm looking for a few things, namely a roleplay BASED on either Life After Beth or Grease. BEFORE YOU SCROLL; if you haven't watched either that's fine because I can either explain it or you don't even need to watch it because I can give a general idea of what I want. I'm not looking for a roleplay set in the universe but rather inspired by it, but if you want to do a Fandom rp on it I'm also happy to do that. Generally I just want romance, slice of life, angst!!! I've been writing action, fantasy and all that for so long, just need some lovin' for a bit!

- I am very open minded and I'd like to think I'm VERY friendly! I often do edits for my partners of both my character and theirs! Maybe even both together? Anyway! I also do spotify playlist and generally I'd like to think I show that I genuinely care for my roleplay partner and the roleplay.
