i got a fascination (with your presentation)
Normally, Sokka would go on for at least half an hour about his ‘academic rival’ in his literature class, Zuko Sozin. Katara knows the guy’s name, his eye colour (gold), his star sign (Scorpio) and his favourite animal (cats). Because Sokka talks about this guy a lot.
or, sokka really hates zuko. only because zuko keeps annoying him in class, of course. no other reason, nope, none at all.

blame it on me
"Lady Katara," The man bowed deeply in reverence. "I've arrived a bit early, is it possible we could conduct our meeting now, if you're free?"
Katara froze, panic gripping her. She'd completely forgotten about the meeting with the minister. She was woefully unprepared for it. She hadn't organized any notes, hadn't done her proper research. How could she make a good impression if she was a total buffoon at this meeting?
She was the new Fire Lady of these people- she had to make a good impression. She couldn't afford not to. Zuko couldn't afford it either.
Katara hesitated, her mind searching for some reason to turn the minister down.
"I'm sorry, Minister Fao. But I've scheduled a long lunch date with my beautiful bride. Could I offer you a tour through the capital meanwhile?"
Katara tried not to show her shoulders sagging with relief at Zuko's voice. Nice save. She discreetly squeezed his hand in appreciation as he stood next to her.
Minister Fao bowed deeply. "How very kind of you, Fire Lord. Please, don't let me intrude on a newly married couple." He grinned at them.
"Lin." Zuko called, and an assistant appeared seemingly from thin air. "Get Minister Fao a carriage to tour the city, feel free to stop anywhere you'd like for lunch, on me of course." Zuko smiled kindly. "Lin will retrieve you from the foyer when the carriage is ready, please, go enjoy some tea and relax from your travels."
The minister smiled again, thanking Zuko as he left.
"Lin, take the longest tour. Keep him out for two hours minimum. And cancel my next meeting. Blame it on me, that I'd like to spend some quality time with my lovely wife."
Katara flushed slightly, smiling at him. She loved when he said such nice things about her to everyone and anyone, unashamed to show how much he cherished his wife. And how he would always take the fall for her.
Once the assistant had left them, Katara let out a huge breath of relief. "Oh, thank you."
Zuko chuckled, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I could tell from the look on your face that you were panicking. Not ready?"
Katara whined, thumping her forehead on his chest. "I forgot all about it!
"Well then, let's grab some food and go to the library. I'll help you prepare."
She raised on her tiptoes to kiss his scarred cheek. "You're the best husband ever, did I tell you that yet?"
He smirked, his arm wrapping possessively around her thin waist. "Feel free to tell me as much as you'd like."
"Or better yet I could show you." Katara whispered suggestively in his ear.
Zuko pushed her shoulders back reluctantly, "As very tempting as that sounds, we're preparing your presentation first. We can only buy so much time."
Katara winked at him, "You're right... Later then, hot stuff."

Within These Walls: Chapter 5
Here we are, Chapter 5 of my Tokka compilation thingy... I literally cannot believe I’m already on Chapter 5 but STILL can’t get my ass up and make myself go to the store. I’m a lazy adult.  This one is spicyyyyyy... but also not. Short and sweet.
Setting: Fire Nation, the Palace, 2 years after Chapter 4.
Toph 22, Sokka 27.
The Fire Nation seemed to hold their secrets. It was a mutual ground between Earth and Water that protected them from the outside, kept their secrets safe, and what they did amongst one of those well-kept secrets.
They fell to their backs in a satisfied heap. Toph roll off of Sokka from where she straddled his hips with the last bit of energy she had left. Her head buzzed and pulsed with each breath.
Both panting in wordless agreement of their shared satisfaction. Sokka breathed heavily then smiled, chest heaving as he ran both hands up through the front of his hair.
A goofy smile plagued both of their lips, pure bliss coursed through their veins and flooded their brains, overloading every last nerve with pleasure. Anything said within this time was merely a by-product of the engulfing sensations wracking their bodies.
This too was a cause for their silence.
Sokka lay on the right side of the bed with Top to his left, the covers had been kicked or thrown or had met some other form of unceremonious demise on the floor.
His balcony door was open, the deep red curtains fluttered inward, tickled by the sweet night air. It cooled their bodies, acting as a different kind of cover as it settled over the sheen of sweat covering them both.
Toph moved the hair out of her face entirely, and met her left hand over Sokka's right which he had comfortably rested on her belly. He released a very content sigh, his other hand resting on his chest.
His smile never faded, even now as he looked up at the ceiling.
"How are you feeling?" Sokka asked, voice barely above a whisper.
Toph drew out her answer, as though she let every syllable of his question hit her individually and distinctly.
With a weak laugh, she said "I'm completely numb."
Her index finger danced on top of Sokka's hand, still braced on her stomach.
"Good." He turned only slightly to gage her face, the silly smile playing at her lips told him that she was as happy as he was.
She glistened in the moonlight, her bare breasts rose and fell as her breathing steadied itself. His brain was still in a frenzy, the air was thick, even with the breeze, and he was cloaked in her. Wrapped in her scent, her touch, her lips, her hair. The imprint she left on him felt like she had earth bent him into the side of a damn mountain; it all slammed into him. A jolt of sensation shot through him as his body remembered a glimpse of her embrace, of what they had just done.
He craved more but could not move; his arms were lead, his legs paralyzed on the bed. Move and he may collapse.
Toph's body was the same boneless, immobile slag of rocks. The only adequately moving part of her was her heart as it recovered from the past few hours.
There would be soreness, and there would be an ache, but she would not feel it; not now, not for a few more hours.
Sokka skated his fingertips up and down along her stomach, taking time to dip and trace along her navel, tickling her.
Toph stiffened and released a shaky gasp, too weak to laugh.
"We should do this more often." She breathed, it made Sokka's eyes widen a bit and his eyebrows raise.
He nodded with a gulp, "We should."
He found Toph's hand as she wove it through her still-damp hair. Entwining their fingers he brought the back of her hand to his lips, leaving a lingered kiss on her skin.
"…. I miss you." She closed her eyes.
Sokka squeezed her hand, his chest tightening at her words. He looked off past the ceiling and into his own thoughts. He pressed his lips back to her hand, keeping it there while he thought.
He whispered against her skin. "I miss you too."

for a drabble: zuko, mistake :D
“Not that you’re not- uh, I mean,” Zuko fumbled.
This was a mistake. How had he not seen that this was a mistake. He’d been too distracted by the flow of Katara, dancing with the water under the full moon. His mouth had betrayed him. Again.
“You’re beautiful!” he finally blurted. “I just wanted to, ah, say. That.” Unable to look at her face, he watched silvery ripples echo around her legs.
“Thank you, Zuko.” His gaze snapped up.
Was she blushing? He couldn’t tell.
“Okay. Uh, good night, then.” He fled, missing the soft smile growing on her face.

but i didn’t do it right (can i try again?)
"I guess what I’m trying to say is… I like you? Like, in a more-than-a-friend way?”
Sokka’s eyes are focused firmly on a tree behind Zuko, and he’s rubbing his neck with his right hand. His arms are a lot more toned than they used to be, Zuko notices. Then Sokka’s words hit him like a brick wall.
Sokka… likes him? Like, like-likes him?
or, sokka confesses. it doesn't really go according to plan.

I saw a 2020 summary of works written and I decided to do one myself :)
2020 was rough, and I kind of had taken a step back from publishing even though I still was writing. (I only published ONE story in all of 2019! My bad!) I decided to start again about midway through 2020. And this year I had a new fandom to write about: Avatar the Last Airbender. I’ve always been in love with the show ATLA since it aired, and for some reason never delved into the fanfiction until recently. Maybe one day I’ll write for LOK as well. Voltron: Legendary Defenders of the Universe, and Miraculous Ladybug were old obsessions (or should I say ongoing obsessions) but I did post a couple there too. Anyways, here’s my list of posted works for 2020:
Zutara Week 2020- As the title suggests, this is seven picked prompts for the ship Zuko x Katara in ATLA. A non-canon ship that many people adore. Posted 7/24/20
Love Is Blind- This fluffy piece is also for ATLA but focuses more on the non-canon ship Toph x Aang. Posted 8/17/20
Colorful- A fluffy excerpt from the story above featuring Taang. Posted 9/24/20
Cause and Effect- A drama Voltron fic featuring the non-canon ship Lance x Keith. I’m still heartbroken they weren’t together in the end. Posted 9/24/20
The Cat’s Out of the Bag- A comedic take on Adrien accidentally revealing his superhero identity to the Dupain-Cheng family. Typical reveal fic for MLB. Posted 9/24/20 (as you can see I cleaned up some fics and cleared them out on this day 😂)
Almost Lovers- An ongoing angsty fic showcasing the breakup of Aang and Katara as Zuko unknowingly comes between them. Posted 9/28/20
Accidental Rendezvous- (M) a total smut fest featuring Zutara and drunk accidents. Posted 9/28/20
Fantasy Land- An almost crack-like fic of Aang traveling to his future and finding out his wife is Toph. Posted 10/21/20
Requited Love- An absolutely adorable drama fic of Toph and Aang pining for each other. Bonus of parental teasing. Posted 11/9/20
Taang Week 2020- Again, as the title suggests, this is a collection of given prompts featuring Taang. Overall very fluffy. Posted 11/11/20
The Universe is Unkind- A terribly sad fic featuring the non-canon (as far as we know) ship Toph x Sokka. Yes I am a multishiper. TW character deaths. This was one of the saddest things I’ve ever written. Posted 11/21/20
Prospects- A delightful collection of prompts featuring Zutara. (Some M) Includes the 2020 December Drabbles Challenge prompts. May possibly be posting more in the future. Posted 12/4/20
On The Precipice- An ongoing Taang story of the fluffiest fluff you have ever read. Gag worthy sweetness and pining. Posted 12/13/20
And that was my posting spree of the last half of 2020! As you can see, I am cursed to ship non-canon couples apparently. I will say MOST of this had already been in the works for months, but I sure did a heck of a lot of writing and publishing in the last few months. It feels good to create. I hope you all enjoyed my works!

Within These Walls: Chapter 4
Chapter 4 of Tokka indulgance, wow, is this what consistency feels like? Oh boy. This chapter is a follow up to the third chapter and is not as... focusses more on being a bit silly and slightly spicy instead of sweet and telling.
Why? *shrugs*

Setting: Still in the South Pole. Later that same night.
Toph had experienced the cold of the South Pole before, a few years ago actually, but she didn’t remember it being THIS cold.
The liquid fire she kept taking swigs from the skin she took from Sokka made her fingers tingle and did a decent job of warming her.
She wasn’t drunk by any means, being drunk would make her more dizzy and nauseous from the blurring of her sight. However, there was a pleasant sensation that she could tell was the alcohol doing its work. Regardless of the inner warmth, a frigid Southern cold burst its way through the hut when Sokka entered.
He had taken a walk around the perimeter of the newly developed South Pole with an old friend as the tribe wound down for the night. She was invited to go with him but she declined, content with staying where the warmth was. Sokka reluctantly left her, mostly because he did not want her to feel as though he was leaving her behind while he was home.
“Just go have fun with your friend, I'll survive until you come back,” Toph said, saluting him with the skin as one would before drinking with a friend.  He chuckled and left the hut mumbling an “oh boy.”
“Hello there,” Sokka greeted as he kicked off his boots then went to his tunic, pulling it with some difficulty off over his head.
Toph lowered the pouch from her lips as she took another swig “Have fun?”
Sokka hung up the tunic as he spoke in his regular, ginger tone. “ I did.”
He stopped and stood adjacent to her, hands resting on his hips as he took in the sight of a slightly tipsy Top wrapped in the blankets meant for her and Sokka’s pallet. He folding his arms, the corner of his mouth turning upwards.
“You seem like you’re having a good time on your own.”
Toph reclines back on the pillows, nodding her head slowly “The very best.”
“Mhm.” Sokka hummed in agreement as he moved around past her, pulling his pallet next to hers to make one large, makeshift bed.
He noticed the pillows were behind her back as well and swiped the extra two from a shelf against the far wall.
Plopping them next to Toph, he swiped the drinking pouch from her just as she raised it to her lips once more.
“Heyyyy,” she complained, making a face as Sokka still watched her as he stood, taking a long drink. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and knelt down to the pelts, letting out an exaggerated sigh as he stretched out next to her.
Toph reached out, indicating that she wanted Sokka to hand back the pouch. He put up a finger and took yet another long swig. She turned slightly toward him, disgruntled.
“Are you done?”  She asked as he finally lowered the pouch, handing it back to her. She shook the pouch as she protested. “ Jeez, did you have to drink half-“
Sokka quickly rolled to his side, cupping her jaw and both turning her face towards him while opening her mouth. She thought he was kissing her until she felt alcohol fill her mouth. She let it slip down her throat as Sokka deposited the rest of what he had swigged from the pouch.
Tophs eye grew wide as she pushed Sokka away. He lent back on his elbow, watching her cough and laugh simultaneously.
Sokka ran his fingers through his hair and let it down from its wolf tail, a grin on his face as he watched Toph.
“Yes, I was done.”
Toph shot him a look and flicked his forehead hard. Chuckling maniacally as Sokka fell back dramatically, yelping in surprise.
He laid his head down on the pillows underneath him with a sigh, keeping his hand over his eyes. Toph saw an opportunity, taking yet another swig from the pouch but swallowing it.
She leaned down over him, kissing him hard and with unmistakable intent. Sokka follows her lips as she withdrew, humming into her mouth as she did so.
“I’m not done.” Leaving him with a peck. Sokka smiled, waiting for her again. She raised the pouch to her lips again but this time not swallowing the burning liquid.
He was anticipating her retaliation, meeting her with parted lips. Sokka welcomed the liquid fire, swallowing it readily until there was none left. He savored the bitter taste, sucking on her plump bottom lip before releasing it with a bite.
Sokka almost growled into her as he raised himself upon his arm, still cradling Toph’s head, fingers entwining themselves through her long thick hair. He was careful to not tug too hard, checking his strength that could have easily been too much for her.
Toph’s head spun from the contents of the pouch, having drank a suitable amount. She hesitated at his fast movement, taking a moment to mentally catch up. Sokka sensed her hesitation and pulled away far enough to look at her pale face. The rosiness of her cheeks put a beautiful life to her paled eyes that he would only otherwise see when she was training.
“Are you alright? Do you want to just sleep? How much have you had to drink?” Concern painted his near whispering voice.
“Too fast, I’m at the delightful dizzy phase,” Sokka squinted as he hyper-focused. He could detect the slight sway of her body, she was slightly off her center of gravity nor could she find it. She was absolutely tipsy.
“I can see that.” He was careful to unwind his fingers from her hair and instead laid them to simply cradle her but he nap of her neck, giving her some sense of stability.
The fire that was ignited in him moments away dwindled down as he pushed those thoughts away in light of his partners.. er… his… his… bedfellow’s state.
“Let’s get ready for bed, then. I need you up and ready for tomorrow morning, we have some meetings to attend with my dad.”
Cheif Hakoda had arrived earlier that day, it had been a while since Sokka had seen him and they spent a good part of dinner talking amongst themselves, catching up.
Toph formed a protest as Sokka slipped out from their combined pallet and blew out candles around the hut.
When he returned her pulled the blankets off of Toph’s shoulders, and laid them over her as she settles down onto the pillows that were both hers and hijacked from Sokka.
As he too settled down beside her, on his side to face her, he twirled a lock of her hair around his finger as he tended to mindlessly do when they were in private together.
His eyes adjusted to the dark and he gazed at her profile, the slope of her forehead, flowing down the bridge of her nose as it rounded off at the tip. A cute nose. Although, her face was now a combination of cute and beautiful as it matured, the babyface melting away day by day.
His bedroom-blue eyes watched as Toph’s jaw flexed, opening and closing, her lips pursing slightly as she searched for words.
Her brows slightly crinkled closer together in thought, not that the thought was difficult but properly nuanced words were difficult to find.
He waited, leaning up onto an elbow again and slightly towards her face, still twirling her hair.
“I wasn’t done.” She said, matter- of- factly. Getting her words out before turning her chin towards him.
Sokka’s eyebrow quirked upwards, intrigued by them.
“oh?” He scanned her face, amusement painted his own, however, he did not push. “I think you should get some sleep and we can check that in the morning when this burns off. What do you think?”
The index finger that has her hair twirled around it in a ringlet released the strands and moved to glide up and down the length of her nose to between her eyebrows.
“mm….. I’d prefer to have you now AND in the morning. How’s that sound?” She had a sarcastic tone, throwing his pleasantry back at him, light-heartedly.
He took a deep breath, knowing this would have to wait until the morning.
Sokka kissed her lips so delicately it was as though he were afraid of hurting her with the slightest over the exercise of pressure; as though she were delicate in his hands.
“The morning it is.” He brushed his lips against hers, moving his head from side to side slowly.
He felt her pout, but she relented.
“You’re no fun.” She grumbled like a spoiled child being told ‘no’.
“I am plenty fun, I just want you to be clear-headed while I’m between your legs is all. A curtesy, really.”
He heard Toph take a sharp, shallow breathe. She liked that idea and she knew the practicality of Sokka not wanting to touch her while she was tipsy on his drink.
“Morning.” She confirmed.
Sokka pulled her into him, baring his arm across her waist and leaning his cheek against the crown of her hair.
He bent the arm under him against the pillows to rest on his elbow. He realized then that Toph was not wearing her bindings under her sleep clothes as the thumb of his hand around her waist brushed the underside of her breast.
Even in the cold, she was calculating.

The central bus station in Tel Aviv is known for housing a lot of non-bus related attractions. But the best one, in my opinion, are the bats. They are the largest reason why the massive, mostly empty building can’t be torn down or renovated. They have taken over a totally urban building and made it their own. I love these bats. So much so, I designed a new D&D character off of them.
Her name is Adhana Atlaf. She’s a drow ranger. She has a swarm of Tel Aviv Bus Station Bats (patent pending) as her animal companion. They travel together as a nocturnal crew, fighting developers who want to destroy the cultural landmark that is the central bus station, alongside any traditional monsters that live in fantasy Tel Aviv.
The point of this, in the roundabout way of talking about my new baby, is that even weird and super specific interests make for cool characters. It’s not a new point, but seeing it play out at any point is always a good time.
