The sun filtered through your tent, breaking and entering as it made itself known through the little tendrils of space left. Soft air cascaded within, too, tickling against each surface it managed to get its grasp on.

You didn’t bother opening your eyes, your tiredness consuming too much of your rational thoughts to get up. You knew you would have to get up soon - you would be needed to help out Mo’at and Kiri in the Tsahik tent to prepare healing herbs for the warrior’s next raids, including your Neteyam, but you just couldn’t.

As the comfort and warmth of staying asleep for just a little longer enveloped you, a familiar arm snaked itself across your waist, claiming its place against the other side and squeezing slightly. A tail wrapped itself around your thigh, too, coiling down until it made itself comfortable in the spot it always seem to be found in the most, and soft breaths fanned against your neck, tickling and sending shivers down your spine.

The movements from your mate told you that he was awake - or, at least beginning to wake up - as he only snuggled in closer to your behind. Neteyam would need to leave soon, too, and you knew he wouldn’t leave you without properly saying goodbye. So, you pretended to stay asleep.

Thinking you were doing a good job with your rhythmic breathing and little snores, making sure to keep your eyelids shut but not too tight, you tried to suppress the small smile lingering against your lips when Neteyam’s face only snuggled further into the crook of your neck. He inhaled deeply, making sure he got every last bit of your scent to take with him when he left. It didn’t matter that you knew he’d always come back to you, or that he’d do this every morning like it was routine, but if he didn’t have your scent against his entire body or within his system, he knew he wouldn’t be able to concentrate the entire time he was out. His thoughts would only be of you, you, you, and he couldn’t afford that when he was supposed to be providing for the clan.

After he was done scenting you, making sure you were all over him, he finally opened his eyes, the view underneath him causing his heart to stutter out of pure adoration. He couldn’t believe he’d ended up with you - his eyes had always been on you from the very moment you first met when you were younger, and even since then, he’d made it his life mission to have you by his side until you were both ready to part from this world. And with Neteyam by your side, you knew that would be a while.

Eyes taking every feature you had to offer, from your fluttering eyelids to the soft movements of your chest, he finally made eye contact with your lips, watching as they would curve upwards just slightly before being forced down again, like you were ensuring yourself not to smile. A smirk made its way onto his own face as he understood what you were trying to do - you didn’t want to leave.

Lowering himself further down towards your ‘sleeping’ figure, he placed a gentle, almost-featherlight kiss against your temple. He felt you tense a little under his touch, a clear sign that his suspicions were right. “You know,” he started, voice rough and hoarse from both groggily waking up and the use of it the night before during your intimate moments, placing another soft kiss behind your ear, “I can tell that you’re awake,” he continued, his lips moving to your jaw, “and, I know what you’re trying to do,” he finally finished, a last kiss firm against the softness of your cheek. 

You couldn’t fight against the smile anymore, letting the restraints fall and clatter away as you smiled big and bright. The heat and tickling sensation from his affections had a chuckle escaping your lips. Despite knowing you’d been caught, you decided to play innocent. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you reply cheekily, cheeks hurting from smiling to wide and eyes still shut. 

Neteyam hums like he’s taking your response seriously, keep his face against yours, teasing you with his lips and not allowing them to make contact with your skin anymore. “So, you weren’t pretending to be asleep because you knew I wouldn’t leave without saying goodbye?”

“Nope.” Your response continued to feign innocence - that was, until, Neteyam’s arm that was situated around your waist held an even firmer grip, flipping you so you were laying on your back with his figure right above you. “’Teyam!” you squealed, not expecting such eager movements from him so early in the morning. “What are you doing?”

With his hands on either side of your face, his body made itself comfortable directly on top of your own, continuing to make sure he didn’t let his entire weight drop down on your. A smirk played against his lips, coy and arrogant, and you couldn’t believe how alive and awake he was considering you wouldn’t be seeing each other until eclipse that night. He pecked your nose gently, bringing his face back to take in every feature your happiness had to offer him. “I’m saying goodbye in a way you’ll enjoy..” he trailed off, teasing you by slowly inching his face closer and closer to your own, “...so, it’ll be easier for us to part.”

His mouth was just a hairs breadth away from your own now, breaths mingling together as one, like Ewya had willed you to. You could feel the skin lightly brush against your own, and you could’ve sworn you’ve never craved anything more. “It’ll never be easy for us to part,” you replied, your voice but a whisper against him.

The teasing became too much to bear between the two of you, and he pounced like an animal hunting their prey. His lips attached themselves to yours, making sure to be firm but gentle as he savoured the way you tasted, the way your squirmed underneath him, the way you moan lightly when he bit on your bottom lip. Lifting your arms up, you caressed Neteyam’s face in your palms, mirroring his actions, too, the pads of your thumbs stoking against the apples of his cheeks. His heart warmed at the loving gestures he always received from you, even small touches like that, because he knew every gesture spoke the words I love you. 

Taking his hands away from your face, lips never once leaving yours for a second, not wanting to break the bond bringing you whole as one, he slowly made his way down your chest, to your hips, until they eventually found their home. Feather touches lingering against your warm skin, you trembled slightly against the path his hands were going down. 

“Neteyam,” you breathed, breaking away from the kiss as his lips trailed down to your neck and your hands weaved around his broad shoulders, inhaling scent before diving in with his lips. His name was originally meant to be a warning, but with all your senses only screaming Neteyam, Neteyam, Neteyam, it came out as more of a moan, one that only seemed to spur him on. Too busy devouring your neck, intent on leaving marks behind in his wake to ensure the clan knew you were spoken for (although, you always reminded Neteyam that you’d been mated for a while now and everyone knew you were his, he’d only shrug and carry on), his response to you was a hum against your skin, sending vibrations all the way through your body. Meanwhile, his fingers continued to dance on your lower area, teasing you, knowing you were on the brink of giving in to him. “Neteyam,” you repeated, voice breathy and shaky despite wanting to sound stern, “you need to leave,” you gulped, “with the others soon.”

Eventually, he brought his face away from your sensitive spot, now nose against nose as he chuckled at your flushed condition - the way your cheeks slightly darkened in colour, lips parted and eyes dilated just the way he loved. “They won’t mind.” At the last word, he finally gave in to his own desires and slipped a finger into your aching core, giving you a moment to adjust to the sensation, not having expected it.

Gasps leaving your mouth, you couldn’t help but grip tighter around his neck, eyes tightly shut and back arching in pleasure. After a few seconds, his finger started to move to a slow rhythm, pushing in and out of you and curling at the end to make sure he hit your sensitive spot. When he saw the way you submitted to him so easily, he started to rub soothing circles against your bud with his thumb, eliciting more enticing sounds from you. 

Still, whilst one part of your mind wanted nothing more than for your mate to ravish you completely, you knew the rest of the warriors wouldn’t be happy with his absence, especially as the next in line for Olo'eyktan. “They won’t like that-” you stuttered on your words, breathing deep as Neteyam pressed down slightly harsher against your warmth, “-that you’re late.”

He smirked, before bringing his lips to kiss against your temple, close to your closed eye. “Well, I don’t care if I’m late, and you’re my top priority.” His movements never slowed once when he spoke, keeping up his pace and watching as you responded to his touches. Back arching in more pleasure, an explicit moan escaped your lips, loud and clear before you could try and hold it back. One hand moved from around his neck, intent on covering your mouth, but Neteyam wouldn’t let you. He crashed his lips back against yours, swallowing another moan, and all he could feel was excitement. “This way I’ll be leaving knowing I took care of you.”

And with the way he was touching you - the way he was worshipping you entirely - you knew despite you’re better judgement, if Neteyam left this way every time, you wouldn’t pretend to still be asleep.

I started watching One Tree Hill bc what I saw through my now estranged sister was absurd, and bc of the John Oliver clip where a dog high on marijuana eats Dan Scott’s replacement heart. I first watched all the finales back to back to back then decided to give the whole thing a run through.

In one tree hill a number of souls are shackled within the purgatory of Tree Hill, a place that causes characters to stagnate professionally and emotionally while giving illusions of growth through platitudes and unearned emotional moments. You cannot escape Tree Hill. Death isn’t even enough to escape Tree Hill. You can fall onto the pitcher plant but you cannot climb out. You are one with Tree Hill.

This is a show with no less than three serial killer arcs, a show so hungry for drama it consumes every teen drama concept before the second season leaving it nowhere to go, a show with two near fatal bridge accidents, with real ghosts that help and haunt, where teenagers and small children talk like aged adults, where we get to see the progression of culture and technology from early 00’s flip phones to early 10’s smartphones and social media, and teenagers promising rebellion instead become the forces they were so much so against in early seasons as cycles are broken yet perpetuate. This is a show where a teenager can afford an apartment by working part time at a mall food court. Its also got an incredible reinforcement of heteronormative ideals.

In this show, Ball is Life.

The biggest issue with One Tree Hill working is there needs to be a source of drama caused by the main cast. The way this works out in writing is characters often backtrack their growth to cause more drama again.

I do have a few positives. After S4 there is a time skip of 4 years. I think this actually gives good weight to S4’s finale, letting it keep that weight. And they give new struggles to the cast that don’t trivialize their previous successes while giving us something to root for. The friendship between Nathan and Lucas has genuinely compelling moments as they learn about themselves and each other.

Dan Scott is also a source of great enjoyment for me. He makes the show work. You have plotlines like “Lucas and Brooke are having relationship issues”, “Nathan wants to play basketball more”, and “Dan uses a school shooting to kill his brother Keith bc Dan was convinced he was drugged and left to burn in his dealership when really it was-“ and its just absurd every time.

I will do a character rundown of the main 5 peeps:

Lucas is the original protagonist of the show. He is half brother to Nathan and the “underdog” of S1 where he plays the river court compared to Nathan playing varsity bball. He’s described to be the more emotionally driven one between Nathan and Lucas but as the show goes on he just becomes the dumber of the two. When it comes to relationships he can’t make up his mind and goes with whatever the girl he’s with wants. This leads him to cheat multiple times and as his gf gets mad at him he squints off into the middle distance like there’s something going on but we all know there’s nothing going on behind those eyes. After the timeskip he continues dwelling on the past writing a book that is both super successful and terrible at the same time and the show just kinda makes him a washed up writer before giving him and Peyton a fairy tale ending and saying goodbye S6.

Nathan Scott is the “rich boy” bball player who starts the show as an asshole until the show decides he isnt. Nathan is the only good person in One Tree Hill. He’s the only one who’s level and tries to make reasonable choices without flying off the handle. He does have a few hilarious moments with how seriously high school bball is taken where a mafia is pressuring him to shave points off games bc they bet a lot of money on him. The biggest letdown with Nathan is he continues to beat himself up over the unrestrained anxieties of his wife-

Haley is the worst character in the show. She accuses Nathan of cheating at least 5 times in the show despite nothing indicating that, the most egregious of which is when she snoops and finds Nathan’s valentines day gifts for her and accuses them of being for someone else. This is second to a rando accusing Nathan of sleeping with her after he becomes famous and after a few days she decides to believe the rando over her husband of 4-5 years. She just lets her anxieties get the better of her and it makes her mean to Nathan for 75% of their screentime.

Brooke! One of my least favorite characters of s1-4 and one of the stronger of 5-9. Brooke starts as a party girl who just kinda starts shit for the sake of starting shit. When the show needs drama they turn to her for it most times and it makes her later high school bits feel less genuine. After the timeskip shes in charge of a multi million dollar clothing company (if you’re noticing a trend the timeskip changes characters from relatable high schoolers to wildly successful in their field). She matures out of that shit starter mentality and slides into Lucas’s spot as protagonist (a loose term with so many characters). Her and Nathan undergo the most growth. I also did appreciate and resonate with her graduation arc in that she didn’t really feel the same drive as her classmates.

Shit with Peyton is wild. She has 3 sudden family member reveals: one is Laura Palmer who dies almost immediately, one is serial killer arc #1, and the last is one of the show’s rare black characters who’s a marine thats very quickly sent out to war (Bush era politics). She is a musician, artist, she dates the lead singer from Fallout Boy somewhat seriously (that’s canon, its not the lead singer as a character, in universe he’s also the lead singer of Fallout Boy. He comes by in a limo and goes on tours). Her and Lucas are supposed to be the will they won’t they but with three female leads and two male leads Brooke kind of gets left behind S4 in a smaller capacity. In the timeskip she goes on to become a producer instead of a musician which always felt odd, then after her and Lucas depart they beach ball her label around without knowing what to do with it. Also casting has an issue where they hire sameface women and Peyton was the only one I could reliably identify.

If youre interested in watching One Tree Hill it depends how much time youre willing to sink into it. S1-8 are 22ish episodes long each and each episode is 42mins. I don’t think every episode is worthwhile unless you come at it with the analytical mind of having watched good prestige TV so you can pick apart characters more than the show wants you to.

For those just looking for a casual good time watch S1E1 then watch all the finales back to back to back. Its wild, so much happens you just have to adjust for. Its actually great.

If you REALLY wanna get your hands dirty the entire show is a nostalgia trip into the 00’s complete with famous bands of the time, tech, and norms. This is good and bad as you’ll watch them try to handle a bisexual character in the early 00’s. Also watching Dan Scott dunk on literal high schoolers never gets old.

so glad im not alone about ekko. i love the guy and he's got the biggest heart out of everyone, but his approach to the situation feels very oversimplifying the situation and short term solution. shimmer is zaun's best commodity and probably even the only thing the city has that gives it a standing chance at economical indepence from its oppressing city and thus its best shot at independence at all. ekko should surely know this and instead of eradicating shimmer he should think of getting rid of silco's position of power and manage the shimmer business, maybe perfect the product so its not harmful or maximize medicinal potential etc etc. like he is a genius, its within his capabilities!

its so weird bcs this would have been a perfect metaphorical tidbit with his relationship with jinx. ekko is strongly hinted to be the first to accept both sides of jinx and to see that shimmer doesn't make the person a monster... so why not have that reflect in his perception of shimmer towards all zaunists overall? that shimmer isnt the monster, but how it is managed. its just like heimerdinger's words about hextech too ["I've seen this power in the wrong hands. It corrupts, consumes, lays waste to civilizations"]. the show could come full circle with this.

instead they chose ekko to have a white/black perception of shimmer. its understandable but also a waste, unless they plan to possibly change this and this is all actually in the process of ekko to one day re-evaluate his view of shimmer in s2

About shimmer being the best commodity : I would understand Ekko better if shimmer was just a drug that malforms you... But sadly shimmer is shown as :

1/ A cool party drugs that didn't really affect people in the years they've used it (Silco's gang) 2/ A fantastic mechanical fuel that also gives you a physical boost without known drawbacks 3/ A miraculous drug, where 2 drops mixed in other products can heal a massive gut wound in minutes

It's literally the philosopher's stone of Zaunite inventions, and double sadly the show decides to 'tell' us about the damage shimmer did. The 5 people living in the little slum outside the dispenser are by no means a good representation. In a way Heimer's walk to the Undercity was more impactful, but none of the violence and poverty if showed could be construed as a 'new thing' that wasn't also there under Vander and even before that.

The show's desire to 'keep it vague' also means it undercuts Ekko's position.

OR the show could go for that slightly more childish mentality, that Silco dead and his operation stopped will make everything go away and be better, and actually SHOW THIS to be a slightly deluded fantasy coming from an isolated community made primarily of dreaming teens. Good intentions and dreams but flawed foundation. This could even be understanding he'd GROW alongside his relationship with Heimerdinger! He may not be wise to current politics, but he understands how the world works, and sees things in the longer term (while Ekko doesn't).

But no, the show just goes : aren't they good? They're the proof there are good Zaunites who love trees and fresh air.

And you're right about Jinx. You could have a more mature Ekko who has come to realise the power of shimmer, but also thinks it's a tool in the hands of the wrong man, and that Silco doesn't fight honestly for Zaun (insert grudges and reasons here, one of which could be that he's running Zaun as a business instead of a community, that he's allying with any criminal so long as he expends his union and power, that he's ready to kill any number of people to get to that goal, as he killed Vander...) He could clearly resent Jinx for staying allied to Silco, when she should know better and he killed Vander, but Jinx is emotionally invested in Silco and can't afford to lose him or the support he provides, emotionally and financially, and she's a cruel girl in the show... I don't think she'd care for people suffering due to shimmer. Jinx has a strong flavour of believing that the strong should rule, and that's why she's so hung up on being stronger than her sister, and stronger by any means necessary. She sees the world in victims and bullies, and fully intends to be established as a bully.

Ekko could grow! I'm curious to see where he goes. It's just a shame that the show doesn't treat him as such. I hope they don't waste his character by pigeonholing him into the 'kool sk8ter kid who's kinda smart when convenient'. That would be truly sad.

What's your opinion on this? I personally understand sickofeverythingmale's anger, but imo she misses the point this time, as do other antinatalists, from what I've seen. The point IS that women who'd receive those money don't use it for themselves, they use it for the baby. 🤡 Yeah, a single woman would be able to afford much more with that because she's s i n g l e. Childless, if you will. Saying that someone who doesn't afford a child, should just not have any is such a rich people take or/and is so far removed from actual tangible reality. Reality where there is still pressure to have kids, where poor women are at a greater risk of this etc etc. Giving women incentive to continue higher education is not antithetical with trying to solve this very real issue of lack of support for mothers, lmao. As if saying "Simple, just don't have kids!" is effective on your normie woman and not at all a chronically online take. The only people I've seen using the child support (who isn't even enough in our country) as incentive to have more kids are the poor people, because it correlates with lack of education, not because poor people are inherently evil or smth. So the problem is really not the existence of such a support, it's the lack of education that's an issue.

tbh im conflicted on this topic. i do not think conservatives support giving mothers money bc conservatives do not support women in general, but i think this can benefit them in some ways. i recall hearing of some governments considering such a thing moreso to increase the birthrate, basically knowing full well that incentivising it via financial compensation will encourage some women to reproduce. i fear that creating a financial incentive for child birth will ultimately hurt women and make it so many poor women will reproduce not bc they even want kids, but just so they can survive. i fear the damage that would do for women and for their kids, and thus the future generations. but also its complicated bc child rearing is so taxing and time-consuming and expensive that it should be compensated. i feel like surely there can be a way to implement this without basically incentivising childbirth but i can't think of such a way of doing so.

that said, "if you cant afford babies then don't have them!!" sounds quite conservative to me too. i feel like conservatives have said exactly that, word for word, at some point. like, some women don't really get to choose? and some women do not want to seek out abortions when they realise theyre pregnant, some do not want to give up their baby for adoption either, so like. i do think we need to think of a way to help women in such situations but also ensure this isn't basically making poor women reproduce just so they can have money to survive on.

i love talking about my dollhouse, so ask away!

The dollhouse is the way I display all my dolls, as I like displaying them in little scenes. If they are part of my collection, they live in the dollhouse! that means it’s pretty crowded, with 22 different 18 in dolls (two aren’t in the pic bc they’re getting fixed) and one wellie. there are also 3 dolls im actively planning to get (claudie, Courtney, and Cecile), and there are 4 more on my “if I found them for an excellent price I’d totally snag them” list (Kirsten, ruthie, Emily, and luciana). So it might get even more crowded 😅

here’s an overview pic of the current state of it:

it’s not fully set up yet (as you can tell by the random room full of naked dolls in the top right lol), and most rooms don’t have a proper scene set up atm, but I thought an honest look at what it usually looks like might be helpful lol.

I made it out of storage shelves I bought secondhand. I saw a lot of people making dollhouses online out of bookshelves, but the dimensions just didn’t work for what I was planning. For my plan, the shelves needed to be at least two feet deep (to accommodate beds facing outward), have adjustable shelves (to accommodate the taller furniture), and be either 3 or 4 feet wide to make the rooms large enough for fun scenes.

I found shelves that worked online from hardware stores, but they’d be super expensive, so I set up an alert on Facebook marketplace instead, and got lucky! They weren’t like. Super duper cheap, but they were much more affordable. Because they’re secondhand, most of the floors have a slight dip in the middle, but its not too bad.

The drawback to using shelves with open sides is that you have to make walls, which is really time-consuming (and the cost of materials can really add up!), but it was worth it for me to get the dimensions I wanted. My only real regret is not painting the shelves white before putting them in place. I hate how the ceilings in all my pictures are grey, but at this point it would be really hard to change, as I don’t want to spray paint in my poorly-ventilated basement 😭 The floors are just made from contact paper I got on Amazon and stuck on the shelves, and I’m really pleased with them.

There are nine rooms. Each room is 2 feet deep, 3 feet wide, and about 2 feet high (the heights vary a bit). Overall, the setup is 2 feet deep, 9 feet long, and about 6 feet high. It’s a big boy! Thankfully, there was a nice clear space in the basement for my doll zone, otherwise I never would have been able to have such a big setup 😅 it was really important to me for it to be big, as it’s not just a dollhouse, but also my doll display.

Having a bunch of rooms was really important to me, because I wanted to make themed rooms for a lot of the historical characters. Going across from left to right, top to bottom the rooms are: the modern bedroom (shared by kanani, Jess, Nicki, Mia, and Jessica who is a jly), the 60s/70s/80s bedroom (shared by Julie, ivy, melody, and eventually Courtney - I’m asking for Courtney for christmas so she’s not here yet), a room I haven’t decided about (it was gonna be Kaya’s but her tipi is too big 😭), the 1900s/1910s bedroom( shared by Sam, Nellie, and Rebecca), the 20s/30s bedroom (currently it’s just kit’s, but claudie will share with her when I get her), the 40s/50s bedroom (it’s entirely based on Molly’s bedroom from her scenes and settings, but she also shares with Maryellen and Nanea), the bathroom/laundry room, and the living room/kitchen (which takes up two room slots).

There are some girls who don’t really have a room that fits. Those are Caroline, Elizabeth, felicity, Marie-grace, addy, and josefina. Cecile and Kirsten would also be missing a spot if they were in my collection. Some of them will likely end up sharing the remaining unassigned room, but I don’t think all of them will work in one room. It will probably just end up being like. a very vague fancy historical girls room lol. I mostly want a reason to own Caroline’s bed haha

As far as ideas for your own dollhouse goes - it all depends on how much time you want to spend on your dollhouse build, and the size and shape you want it to be. I wanted mine to be really big with specific dimensions, so I had to go super custom with it. Re-detailing the one from Walmart is an EXCELLENT option if you like the size and shape of it, and/or don’t want to spend forever making pieces of it (I might die before I finish those walls 😭). If you want to do it custom, but don’t care as much about the rooms being deep as I did, I recommend going with a shelf with walls.

I do want to mention that just because you DIY something, that doesn’t mean it will be cheaper (sorry, every diy YouTube channel). The price of a diy project depends on a lot of things, both which you know going in (like your skill level, which limits what techniques you can use for building, and the cost for the basic materials) and things you don’t (like unexpected issues that may pop up, further customizations you want to make later on). That does not mean you can’t make a custom dollhouse on a budget - it just means you will need to plan carefully, find great deals, and spend a lot of time working on it (which can be fun!). Just because it’s not cheaper doesn’t mean it’s not worth it, but price can be an important consideration.

Its nothing extravagant. I sit in an uncomfortable office chair with my laptop perched on a foldable like, mini food table and uncomfortably hunch over like a shrimp for hours while my ass falls asleep and my neck and back scream in agony until it gets too much. Or i type in bed from my phone until my fingers go numb or i drop my phone on my nose.

The only other thing i can add is i have playlists for any of my sad or action based scenes so ill listen to those.

So two of my friends moved to South Korea and weren't able to take their cats with them immediately, so I agreed to foster them for 6 months until their first vacation so they could come collect them.

Little did I know that 3 years later I would still have these cats, because it turns out that importing pets more than 6 months after you immigrate is incredibly difficult, and the owners didn't do any proper research beforehand, and also didn't save any money to get it done. And STILL aren't saving money to get it done, and are instead begging all their associates for money (by taking commissions they aren't actually doing - a mutual friend has literally 30 works they still haven't received) every step of the way when we have to get health tests and certificates and lab reports done.

And it turns out everything we've done so far has been for nothing because its all been in my name, and they're gonna have to redo all the expensive and time consuming tests in their name. Which means finding a vet that will do all this legal paperwork in someone else's name who isn't in the country to verify anything at all and is just taking my word for it. Which is uhhhhhhh an issue to say the least.

I found all this out today first thing in the morning when my friend was like "the pet relocation company says none of this will work so can you and your vet fix it?" And when I was like "I'll ask but I'm pretty sure we have to start over bc anything else would legally be fraud since technically I own your cats right now" (because its been 3 fucking years) they had the fucking GALL to break down crying and say it hurts so much to hear their pets aren't legally theirs, and I have to make my vet fix it because they've been doing a "trash job" (they haven't, they've actually been very helpful and the only fuck up that happened before this was a lab's fault, not my vet's), and they can't afford to do it all again, and that they "need me to be in their corner right now".

And then they just shut down when I tried to offer any solutions that DON'T involve legal fraud. Like coming back and doing it themselves instead of using a company, which is "just not possible" (no reason given when asked why not, literally just silence), or doing it as a "sale" so it makes sense that its all in my name ("that won't work because the regulations are probably different").

Like, I'm sorry you waited until the last minute to check if we were doing everything correctly! But that's not my fault, or my responsibility! I never wanted it to take this long, and I certainly don't want to keep your fucking cats! They keep destroying all my stuff, which you've offered to replace but noticeably haven't! Even if I wanted to, I CAN'T keep your fucking cats because I'm moving next year!

Nevermind I've got a bunch of my own shit going on that y'all don't seem to care about at all, like fighting for disability benefits, and being sued for medical debt (my court date is LITERALLY tomorrow and they haven't asked about it once since I told them last month), and affording rent and food! They're over in South Korea spending all their money on take out and "retail therapy" (and to be fair some genuine unforseen costs, but that just makes the other stuff more infuriating) not saving anything for the cats, while I'm over here going to food banks and hygiene pantries just to stay afloat!

I don't even want to be friends with them anymore at this point! And that really hurts, because there was a time when they were the best friends I'd ever had. But now? After all this? How can they expect me to trust or rely on them, for anything? After everything I've done for them THIS is the thanks I get?

I don't even know what else to say. If they don't SINCERELY apologize for this, and also accept they fucked up by not doing the research or saving any money, and ALSO come to terms with the fact that we have to start over, I don't know what I'm gonna do. Stop being friends with them and rehome the cats, I guess. I don't WANT to do that but I don't think I'll have any other choice.
