Do you have a good relationship with your parents?
I think they believe I have a good relationship with them, but as for my own relationship with them, I'm not sure. It's difficult for me to tell.
6. How do you want to die?
In a way that at the very least my friends could know what happened to me. I don't really care how, just that my friends know. I feel like that's a bit selfish of me.
30. What's irritating you right now?
I left my meds at home and tommorrow is my first day of uni- I'm at my grandmother's since she lives real close. I guess other than that my left ear hurts a bit.
66. Do you have a friend of the opposite sex who you can act your complete self around?
A few of the friends I can act myself around are intersex? How would they poll into this question? And I can't exactly swap it to gender either, since I'm agender and how would that work? Would the opposite of no gender at all be a xenogender collector? I do have a friend who does that, but... So I guess my answer is this question isn't really one I can answer.
68. Who’s the last person you had a deep conversation with?
What really counts as deep? I don't really think I can answer this question either...

wolfstar fans: omg sirius would never do anything to hurt remus he loves him
said man: *uses the man in question as a revenge tool against his nemesis*
*chooses a literal rat over him when switching secret-keepers because yes, the werewolf who wouldn’t hurt a fly is obviously the traitor*
*doesn’t give two fucks about said werewolf and leaves everything in his will to his godson, who is already filthy rich*

Hey!
Instead of calling us Snape apologists, why don’t we start calling y’all Marauder apologists?
After all, you seem to be apologizing for James and Sirius’s shitty behavior. However, we aren’t apologizing for Severus’s shitty behavior. Unlike the Marauder apologists, we embrace Sev’s darkness. We explore it and debate about it. All you Marauder apologists do is make fluffy headcanons about James being the most progressive dude on the planet and Remus and Sirius being super gay when the former was probably straight (though I don’t mind a Remus who’s bi). Now, not to say I’m hating on y’all (some of your headcanons aren’t too bad) but I’m just saying: Aren’t you guys apologizing for your faves? You don’t see us erasing Sev’s bad behavior, but we see y’all erasing James and Sirius’s bad behavior all the time.
Say it with me: “Marauder Apologist.”
Louder: “MARAUDER APOLOGIST!”

I swear on my mother’s love that if the HP series was told from Severus’s POV, 90% of the fandom would hate Lily and the Marauders.

PowerLine – Conservatives Outnumber Liberals, But Gap Narrows
Conservatives Outnumber Liberals, But Gap Narrows
Posted:Wed, 04 Jan 2017 01:04:02 +0000
(John Hinderaker)Gallup has released its annual poll on conservative/liberal/moderate self-identification. It finds that U.S. adults are now 36% conservative, 34% moderate, and 25% liberal. This is consistent with a broad body of polling that shows conservatives have outnumbered liberals by as much as two to one in recent decades. But liberals are gaining. This Gallup graph covers the period from 1992 to the present:
Conservative identification has remained essentially steady, but these days there are fewer moderates and more liberals. Why?
I am not sure that the shift reflects a real change in political attitudes. Rather, I think that in the aftermath of the Reagan years, it was political suicide to call oneself a liberal. A lot of professed “moderates” really belonged to the ideology that, in those days, dared not speak its name. In recent years, as the opprobrium attached to the label “liberal” has faded, more liberals have come out of the closet.
A more serious question is, if there are so many more conservatives than liberals, why don’t we do better politically? The answer is, I think, some combination of the following: 1) Liberals dominate influential positions in the press, universities, big business, and the arts (Hollywood, television, the music industry, etc.). 2) Liberals vote loyally and monolithically for Democrats, while conservatives are more critical of the Republican Party and are more apt to vote selectively, or not at all–and even, in a fair number of inexplicable cases, for Democrats. 3) Liberals tend to have financial interests at stake that make them more dedicated to politics than conservatives. 4) Because they love government–or possibly for some more arcane reason–liberal politicians tend to be more adept than conservative politicians. 5) Conservatives actually do do well, and in fact are ascendant at present. So quit complaining.

(Steven Hayward)Readers might recall that I caused a bunch of trouble during my year at CU/Boulder for a post here on Power Line about not being able to keep up with the protean gender-identity acronyms (though that was nothing compared to Wesleyan University).
In any case, I’ve been trumped surpassed. The Spectator of London offered up this story a little while back:
Why be LGBT when you can be LGBTIQCAPGNGFNBA?
By Matthew Bell
Enrolling at Parsons College in New York the other day, a friend was asked to state her name, subject and PGPs. Her what? Her preferred gender pronouns. In other words, did she want to be referred to as ‘she’ and ‘her’, or ‘he’ and ‘him’, or ‘it’, or ‘they’, or none of the above, and was she a Mr, Miss, or Mx? If she wasn’t sure, a support group was on hand to help, called the LGBTQIAGNC. There was no need — she said her name was Clare and ‘she’ would do fine. And the rest of the class? ‘No one stated a PGP other than the obvious,’ she reports, ‘although we do have a large LGBT community.’
Your reaction to that story might be to think how marvellously inclusive Parsons is — an institution so evolved that people can live gender-neutral lives without prejudice. Or it may be to ask: what on earth does LGBTQIAGNC stand for? And to wonder whether some people in the gay rights movement haven’t veered off course. As one activist sighed when I asked if he could spell out the acronym, ‘Matthew, there are so many letters now that nobody can keep up.’
A little light googling reveals that it stands for ‘Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual and gender-non-conforming’. Go a little deeper and you discover that there are dozens of different acronyms, and that nobody can agree on what the official one should be. Well, how do you find a name for individuals who are united by being different?
That’s essentially the same question I asked in my original post way back in August 2013, before learning that this is a forbidden question.
But I do wonder if this is all just a huge trolling operation gone wrong—a college prank that got out of hand. Today the Washington Examiner reports today on the Obama Administration’s new transgender care rules that took effect on January 1. This paragraph in particular caught my eye:
The rule, which went into effect Jan. 1, says that doctors can’t refuse to provide medically necessary health services within their scope of practice because of a patient’s gender identity. For instead, a gynecologist couldn’t refuse to perform a cervical Pap test for a transgender man.
The comic possibilities here are nearly endless, which only begins to show what a farce the whole scene has become. For now I’ll just let Monty Python stand in, with their classic scene from a movie that nowadays probably would be banned on many college campuses as hate speech:

Questions on Sex Gender and Identity Revolution
Tumblr media
4/18/2021 Sex, Gender and Identity Revolution | YaleGlobal Online https://yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/sex-gender-and-identity-revolution 1/8  YaleGlobal Online The 21st century has ushered in less controlling social attitudes about sexual and gender identity, and wider acceptance has both reduced stigma and discrimination while revealing the prevalence of sexual attraction and gender categories that extend beyond traditional male/female relationships and categories. “Increasingly, members of the LGBTQ community – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning – are becoming more visible and outspoken, consequently gaining recognition and acceptance,” explain demographers Joseph Chamie and Barry Mirkin. With more than 50 nations allowing marriage equality or civil unions and partnerships, societies are slowly adjusting to numerous categories of sexual identification. For example, social media giant Facebook recognized more than 50 categories of gender in 2014 and allows users to select custom pronouns. Choosing gender categories is an issue that divides nations, religions and even families. Some nations still criminalize homosexuality with the penalty of death. Uneven rules and data collection present a massive challenge for organizations like the World Health Organization. – YaleGlobal Sex, Gender and Identity Revolution The courage to reveal identities, along with political activism and research, contributes to gradual global acceptance of the LGBTQ community  Joseph Chamie and Barry Mirkin  Tuesday, June 11, 2019   http://www.yale.edu/ https://yaleglobal.yale.edu/   4/18/2021 Sex, Gender and Identity Revolution | YaleGlobal Online https://yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/sex-gender-and-identity-revolution 2/8 Acceptance: Growing numbers feel secure to identify their sexuality (Source: Gallup (https://news.gallup.com/poll/234863/estimate-lgbt-population- rises.aspx) ) Diversity and human rights: Transgendered Indians struggle for dignity, and LGBTQ supporters demonstrate in the United States NEW YORK: With its antecedents (https://www.youngstonewall.org.uk/our-work/blog/10-events-lgbt- history) brewing for decades, the 21st century has ushered in a sexual, gender and identity revolution. Increasingly, members of the LGBTQ (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation- now/2015/06/01/lgbtq-questioning-queer-meaning/26925563/) community – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning – are becoming more visible (https://lifetonik.com/2019/03/12/lgbt-celebs-who-are-couples/? utm_term=CNN+%28Turner+U.S.%29&utm_source=outbrain&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=00e8ca98 8f7d01a748f9a28d57d69900d7&utm_campaign=X7532LTOBPP-TAB-US) and outspoken, consequently gaining recognition and acceptance (https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/press-releases/lgbt- acceptance-increases-press-release/) . At least 26 nations now allow marriage equality and 27 others allow civil unions and partnerships. Traditionally, societies divided human populations into two sex (https://www.un.org/development/desa/capacity- development/tools/tool/principles-and-recommendations- for-population-and-housing-censuses-rev-3/) categories: male and female, based on reproductive systems. However, some 131 million people, or 1.7 percent (https://libcom.org/files/Fausto-Sterling%20- %20Sexing%20the%20Body.pdf) of the world’s population, fall outside of those two categories based on having intersex (http://www.isna.org/faq/what_is_intersex) conditions.   https://news.gallup.com/poll/234863/estimate-lgbt-population-rises.aspx https://www.youngstonewall.org.uk/our-work/blog/10-events-lgbt-history https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2015/06/01/lgbtq-questioning-queer-meaning/26925563/ https://lifetonik.com/2019/03/12/lgbt-celebs-who-are-couples/?utm_term=CNN+%28Turner+U.S.%29&utm_source=outbrain&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=00e8ca988f7d01a748f9a28d57d69900d7&utm_campaign=X7532LTOBPP-TAB-US https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/press-releases/lgbt-acceptance-increases-press-release/ https://www.un.org/development/desa/capacity-development/tools/tool/principles-and-recommendations-for-population-and-housing-censuses-rev-3/ https://libcom.org/files/Fausto-Sterling%20-%20Sexing%20the%20Body.pdf http://www.isna.org/faq/what_is_intersex   4/18/2021 Sex, Gender and Identity Revolution | YaleGlobal Online https://yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/sex-gender-and-identity-revolution 3/8 Ambiguous (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ambiguous-genitalia/symptoms-causes/syc- 20369273) genitalia can be attributed to an array of health issues related to hormones, chromosomes, gene mutations and more. Still, about 70 nations criminalize (https://www.unfe.org/system/unfe-43-UN_Fact_Sheets_-_FINAL_-_Criminalization_(1).pdf) homosexuality, most in Africa and South Asia, with the death penalty possible in Iran, Mauritania, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, the Sudan and Yemen. Brunei (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-48171165) announced strict interpretation of Sharia law in April, including death by stoning for homosexuality and adultery, but has since said that the rules won’t be enforced. People with intersex (https://transequality.org/issues/resources/understanding-non-binary-people-how-to- be-respectful-and-supportive) conditions are those whose anatomy or genes do not fit typical biological definitions of male or female. For example, an individual might be born appearing to be female with mostly male-typical anatomy on the inside. Gender (https://www.issm.info/sexual-health- qa/what-is-the-difference-between-transsexual-and-transgender/) , in contrast to one’s biological sex, can refer to social roles based on a person’s sex or personal identification of one’s own gender, masculine or feminine, based on internal awareness or gender identity (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1300/J485v08n04_05) . With many terms and definitions used for gender identity, sensitivity and uncertainty may arise regarding the appropriate terminology. Society is adjusting to a multitude of categories. Facebook (https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list-of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users/) offered users more than 50 gender options (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list- of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users/) in 2014 and allows custom pronouns. The dating app Tinder (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3938832/Tinder-gets-transgender-friendly-Dating-app-rolls-37- new-gender-identity-options-massive-update.html) allowed potential daters to choose among at least 37 options (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3938832/Tinder-gets-transgender-friendly-Dating-app- rolls-37-new-gender-identity-options-massive-update.html) . The Common Application, used by more than 600 US colleges, also provides applicants with a free-response box (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/common-application-gender_us_57225c03e4b01a5ebde4faf9) to elaborate on how they self-identify. Nevertheless, there is entrenched opposition (https://www.newstatesman.com/2019/01/judith-butler- backlash-against-gender-ideology-must-stop) to gender identity being culturally defined or individually determined. In the United States, for example, the federal government is trying to define (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/14/us/morehouse-college-transgender.html? emc=edit_th_190415&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=267940780415) gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth. Such a definition would adversely affect an estimated 1.4 million (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/14/us/morehouse-college-transgender.html? emc=edit_th_190415&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=267940780415) Americans who identify as a gender other than the one assigned at birth:   https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ambiguous-genitalia/symptoms-causes/syc-20369273 https://www.unfe.org/system/unfe-43-UN_Fact_Sheets_-_FINAL_-_Criminalization_(1).pdf https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-48171165 https://transequality.org/issues/resources/understanding-non-binary-people-how-to-be-respectful-and-supportive https://www.issm.info/sexual-health-qa/what-is-the-difference-between-transsexual-and-transgender/ https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1300/J485v08n04_05 https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list-of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users/ http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list-of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users/ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3938832/Tinder-gets-transgender-friendly-Dating-app-rolls-37-new-gender-identity-options-massive-update.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3938832/Tinder-gets-transgender-friendly-Dating-app-rolls-37-new-gender-identity-options-massive-update.html https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/common-application-gender_us_57225c03e4b01a5ebde4faf9 https://www.newstatesman.com/2019/01/judith-butler-backlash-against-gender-ideology-must-stop https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/14/us/morehouse-college-transgender.html?emc=edit_th_190415&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=267940780415 https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/14/us/morehouse-college-transgender.html?emc=edit_th_190415&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=267940780415   4/18/2021 Sex, Gender and Identity Revolution | YaleGlobal Online https://yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/sex-gender-and-identity-revolution 4/8 Choices:  Adults were surveyed on how they choose to identify themselves, with some reporting overlapping identities (Source: Pew Research Center Read the full article
