“dean isn’t abusive” and yet! he punches sam! in the face! often! he also punches castiel in 4x22 under the impression it will hurt him (it doesn’t but it’s the thought that counts) no one “deserves” to be punched in the face
What about this? Is this abusive?
What about this?
What about this one?
Or this?
Or maybe this time? Was this abuse?
What about here?
Or maybe here? When Sam punched Dean for being suicidal?
Or does it only matter when Dean does it?
Let's not even talk about Sam's history of incredibly manipulative and controlling behavior toward Dean.
Cas getting punched in 4.22? Lmfaoooooo so the episode where Cas, as Dean's season 4 handler (not his friend—not yet) had Dean trapped in a room against his will and was about to let his brother unleash the apocalypse? Who was keeping Dean locked away for some terrible purpose they still refused to tell him anything about except to obey? Who was enforcing Zachariah's orders? Cas, who this same season, threatened to throw Dean back into hell more than once if he didn't do as he was told? Cas, who manipulated Dean into doing what he wanted in 4.15 specifically because Dean didn't obey him by turning Anna over to him for execution in 4.10? Cas, who beat the shit out of Dean in an alley for being suicidal (I mean if you want to talk about a power imbalance...)
Poor Cas :(((( so mean for Dean to punch him while Cas was literally holding him captive :((((((
This is the supernatural horror fantasy show where the supernatural characters commit atrocities, but some people have convinced themselves that one of them is uniquely abusive and scary and the other two are his poor helpless adult baby victims it's fucking laughable nonsense.

I love how Eddie is tied up by his distant relative from the future and yet he still has time to roast him. Like he knows how eowells can just kill him at any moment and he’s probably scared shitless but here he is making fun of the guy.

Random Minecraft
I was playing around in superflat with the preview of the new tuff blocks we'll get in 1.21. And I couldn't help but notice that the new Chiseled Tuff Bricks make a great column cap/finial:
So I started playing around with various column/pillar materials, just for fun:
Left to right: Stripped Mangrove with Glow Lichen, Quartz Pillar, Coal Block with Glow Lichen
L to R: Warped Hyphae, Crimson Hyphae, Smooth Basalt
L to R: Polished Basalt, Calcite, Coal Block
L to R: Gilded Blackstone, Stripped Mangrove, Bone Block
L to R: Cherry Wood, Crying Obsidian, Soul Soil
All together:
I really quite like Smooth Basalt and Soul Soil, wasn't expecting to like those so much. The nether woods and the glow lichen effects are good for very fancy settings, as if the Gilded Blackstone. The paler colours, Bone and Quartz and Calcite, I'm not sure they do so well with the tuff finishers, but they're not bad. I do think that columns like these, though, definitely need a bit of texture patterning. Though Stripped Mangrove holds its own quite well too, to be fair to it.
The Glow Lichen pillars also have a side benefit of providing some light to the colonnade if you don't want to be obtrusive with lighting.
Soul Soil and Smooth Basalt really do work surprisingly well, though.

Okay, I can’t be the only one who thought that the new Trial Chambers being added to 1.21 that branch off of long dimly lit corridors look remarkably like the portal network from Minecraft Story Mode, right?
Anyone else think this? Just me? Hmmm.

New sets of decorative copper blocks and decorative tuff blocks. A set of redstone interactive copper items including lights, doors, and trap doors. And an emphasis on tinkering.
It's ironic that an update that seems almost inspired by the old Copper Golem and Tuff Golem has no plans to add these past mob vote veterans.
So what happened? Did they go back to the drawing board? What if they did? And if we saw them again, would we recognize them?
Allow me to spin you a theory...in the form of a tale.
□ The Lost Golem Of The Chamber □
You're wandering through the corridor of a newly discovered Trial Chamber. A waterfall flows through a copper grate, between dimming Copper Bulbs. You scrape the oxidation off one of them to get a better look. There's a mysterious rusted statue, kneeling, with both hands on rested on its sword.
It looks like an iron golem, but it's too...fit, too articulated. You've heard of passive golems, but this one is built for battle. You try your best to scrape off the oxidation, but it is too thick. This friend must have frozen long ago.
What was the purpose for these trial chambers? And why do they look so industrial, with uses for Copper you've never seen before? And what was it...Tuff? That stuff you use to make floors with when you're out of granite?
You contemplate these mysteries as you enter the next trial. This should be a breeze. Why does everyone say that? The Breeze blasts you through the trapdoors, where you land in a mysterious dark room. Fumbling for a Copper Bulb, you find countless golem statues lining the walls, all rusted in the same pose!
What really catches your attention is what lies in the center of the room: the Crafter, hooked to an old contraption with a broken redstone circuit. You've heard of them, but you've never gotten to use one! What does it make? The only clues are in the Hopper: some Copper, some Polished Tuff...and a mysterious item called "Trial Unit Head".
A chill goes down your spine as the Breeze hovers closer to finding your strange laboratory. Taking action, you finish the redstone circuit and the Crafter chugs into action! You watch, fascinated as the Dispenser puts it together.
In an instant, the ancient automaton snaps to life! It salutes you by kneeling upon its sword, before leaping into action: your combat partner through any Trial, the Chamber Golem!
