There isn’t a minute of meditation that’s of low quality anymore.

There was a time when I would have meditations with the usual pattern of a moment or two of serious depth separated, followed and preceded by many moments of shallow depth. The shallows would leave me feeling frustrated. The shallow moments used to be a stark reminder that I have much to work on.

Not anymore. The sounds I have begun hearing during my meditations didn’t wait for end of my session last night. The highlight of hearing things has advanced its occurrence within the everyday meditation. Having entered meditation, I began hearing ticking sounds. These ticks come in clusters and disappear. Then they reappear in a cluster of ticks.

The rhythm of the tick doesn’t correspond to my heart’s beat or my breathing. The source of the sound has moved even more towards the centre of my brain than what it was just a meditation or two back.

From Raja Yoga related literature written/worded by spiritual giants such as Swami Vivekananda and Paramahansa Yogananda, I knew that Prana or life energy rising up the spine will result in sounds heard.

I also understood that these sounds are unheard by all else. It is like hearing your own heart beating without using any devices such as the stethoscope. One can hear one’s own muscles sometimes. Back when I read spiritual literature hungrily, I shrugged my shoulders when I understood that meditation makes it possible to hear sounds not heard by devices.

To understand intellectually the esoteric in holy books across religions is evidence of one’s understanding of the language of one’s choice. To experience any of the esoteric stuff from holy books is to rewrite religious text.

There is nothing I have read so far that suggests what I am about to suggest. The sounds one hears during meditation is the sound of the stream of life energies in one’s body. After one has set in motion the rising of spinal (Kundalini) energies, the stream enters the head. In the head, life energies are first experienced as profound Peace. As one advances, Peace turns into clicking, clacking and ticking sounds. Peace has a voice.

These sounds are accompanied with a huge sense of being lifted. So big is the feeling of being lifted that the lows within a meditation aren’t low at all. I think of lows as the moments when one is not hearing any sounds from within while still in meditation.

i originally wanted to include some build stuff in this part 2, but gave up after just 1 window attempt. seriously, those things are hard. genuinely amazed by the simmers out there who can convert 'em in 10 minutes flat--the true heroes of this community!

anyway, here is part 2 of my original desert luxe kit conversions! these are 8 items in total, from curtains to sofas to floor lamps. everything has been compressed, lmk if there's any issues ❤
